Alex is so very like Hunter and if she stays I think she will turn out to be a wonderful young lady. I'm so proud of Justin as well and Brian they have come a long way. May it continue x

Debbie's already working her magic.  And Brian, while being his usually sarcastic self, isn't fooling me a bit.  He already cares about the girl and will do anything he can to help her.  Same thing for Justin.  And I can tell it's brining up a whole new set of bad memories for both of them.

Glad Hunter is going to be around to help her.  If anyone knows what she's been through, it's him.  He can relate in a way nobody else can.

Girl, you can weave a story like nobody else.  I love this story so much.

Author's Response:

Thank you, Nita! You're very kind.:)  I do try to hopefully come up with a story plot that maybe hasn't been done to death before.  I'm so glad you're enjoying this one.  Probably heading off to bed soon, but thank you for going to all the trouble to comment on each chapter; that means a lot to me.  I'll be thinking of you.;) *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hey Kim! Can you believe it, I'm finally all caught up with this story yay!!! *does happy dance around the room*

Stewart, Craig, Stockwell, Thomas, and Telson are all in deep shit trouble now.....too bad Turner took the cowards way out....smh. Alex is a little spitfire isn't she? I couldn't believe that Alex turned out to be a little girl though, she has the same 'why the fuck are you helping me anyway' attitude that Hunter had in the beginning. I guarantee after a few days with Debbie, some of that fight will start to diminish.

Kudos to Justin by the way, for standing up to Craig in such a public nature. Not only did he get to confront him for a second time about his duplicity, he made a good majority of the constituency realize that who a person chose to love doesn't attest to how effectively they carry themselves in business matters.

I have so much more I want to say but not enough time to say in. So I will leave you with these parting words......I can't wait for more ;)

Great chapter Kim, love it.

* hugs *

Author's Response:

Hi, Marny - I'm glad you got a chance to read this latest chapter and enjoyed it.:)  I still have quite a bit more to cover yet, so I hope you'll bear with me.  I'll try my best to get this updated sooner rather than later this time.  I'm still trying to decide who Alex would best be left with.  I can see good and bad points to both possibilities.

Thanks again for taking the time to comment!  And now I'm (at last!) finally moving back over to "Parent Trap."  I have a lot of that finished, but I'm not quite there yet.  Not sure if I can finish that up in one chapter or not; will have to see how wordy I get - LOL!  Hope you are doing well.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

SORRY AM LATE-WENT OUT OF TOWN FOR A FEW DAYS TO VISIT FRIENDS.  THIS ALEX PERSON WILL PROBABLY WIND UP WITH THEM.  THEY AREN'T EQUIPPED TO HANDLE A GIRL, ALTHOUGH JUSTIN DOES HAVE A SISTER.  TIME WILL TELL WHERE YOU TAKE US WITH THIS SUB-PLOT.  WE NEED THE ELECTION NEXT CHAPTER HUH???  THEN A NICE BIG WEDDING TO MAKE TONY HAPPY.  LINDC SAYS SHE IS WAITING FOR PARENT TRAP.  I TOLD HER TO BE PATIENT AS YOU ARE STILL BUUUUUUUSY.  LUV 2 U.  "V" SAYS HI!

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetheart! Always a treat to hear from you.:)  Tell "V" I said hello, too, and that I hope she's back to normal now.:)  Yes, I'm on the fence a little bit with who winds up with Alex.  It would make a lot of sense for the boys to get her eventually, especially with Brian being adopted himself. But on the other hand, Justin has his heart set on a baby.  I'll have to decide how I want to resolve that.  I could see Debbie with her as well.:)

I do think the election will be in the next chapter, along with perhaps some more back story as to how Fin and Tony met.  I really like those characters, and would like to maybe use them again in another story in the future, if possible.  I still have quite a bit to tell here, though, so it will take me some time to complete this one.

Tell lindc I've got at least a third of Parent Trap done, maybe half.  I'm working on it, so it shouldn't be too much longer.  Tell everyone that I said hello, and keep in touch, Sweetie.:)  *Hugs* back to you, too.:)  Thanks for all the support and encouragement; that means the world to me.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Brian and Alex together were a hoot. Hunter coming into play was perfect. More was revealed about Alex's past, but I would like to know more.

I loved the tender moments between Brian and Justin at the end of the chapter and the ones between Fin and Tony were nice too. I hope to see more of them after this story ends.

I still love this story!

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandra!  I'm so glad that you're still enjoying this story, my friend, and I thank you sincerely for the feedback.  I apologize for the long wait in between chapters, too; my teaching this year has been especially difficult for me, as well as time-consuming, and it has impacted my writing time. But I WILL get this story finished.  I do have quite a bit to tell yet, though, so it might take me a little while.  But it will be completed.

I have actually grown to love Fin and Tony's characters by this time; I'm toying with a brief chapter interlude describing more of how they met.  I would like to fill in more of their backstory, perhaps while they're waiting for the results of the election to come in.  Hopefully I can fit that in coming up.;)  And who knows? They might just fit into another story sometime.:)

Thanks again for taking the time to review, Sandra, and for all the support; it is greatly appreciated and means so much to me.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Very nice chapter. Intriguing turn that you've taken with this Alex storyline. I'm VERY curious as to why she trashed the hotel room.  Very sweet ending to the chapter. Thanx for updating!

Author's Response:

Hi, Jon!  Thank you for reading and for the comments, Sweetie; I appreciate that a lot.:)  Yes, this tale is setting itself up for a long ride still; at least I do see the election coming up soon, but it will only resolve part of the storyline.  I was glad to be able to emphasize more of the relationships between the two pairs here instead of some of the political melodrama that has been swirling around them so much. Because in the end, I think that is what drives the story, not all the political intrigue.

Thank you again for taking the time to comment, Jon. I'll try my best not to let so much time lapse before the next update.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Susana!  Thank you for reading and for the comments, my friend.  And thank you for the comments over on LJ, too; I appreciate that so much.;)  I'm sorry it's taken me so long to update; I felt terrible about that, but my job and other responsibilities made the gap between updates a lot longer than I ever would have anticipated.  I hope you will bear with me as I continue to work on it.  Like all my other stories, it WILL be completed.

Thank you again for all the support, Sweetie.  You're very thoughtful.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Wow!  Deb is going to whip miss thing into shape.  Alex's back story should be something.  I hope this foundling isn't going to become the boys child.  I somehow see them with a baby.  I guess that remains to be seen. I hope Tony and Fin get hitched at sometime in this story-maybe  after he becomes da GOV.  Lee is going to have a heart spasm when he finds out this is here.  He has gone out of town for a few days for a short vacation.  Everyone here is good and working hard.  BB is very busy..I think he is going to take some time off soon and visit his family back east.  I have been invited to Japan the end of May to take my vacation there and visit with my doctor friend.  My girlfriend wants to buy my ticket there.  She is a sweetie.  My shift is about over so off to bed. Take care and now on to Parent Trap?????  lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc.  I can always count on you for support; that means so much to me.:)  Ha - foundling!  You've been talking to Hunter, haven't you?  Or rather, that was how Brian talked about Hunter that one time when he introduced him to Justin.  I tend to agree with you about Alex, but perhaps she could eventually be a sort of big sister somehow to a younger child.  I'll have to see how my muse takes me on that one.  I'm also toying with doing either a separate story or incorporating something into this story on how Fin and Tony met.  I have really grown to love those two characters, and would like to explore more of their background if there is enough interest.

I would love to see Japan one day!  I'm sure it's a very intriguing country.  Sounds like your girlfriend is very special.:)  And yes, Parent Trap is up next for update.;)

Thanks again, lindc, for everything, and please tell everyone I said hello and send them my warmest wishes.  *Hugs*  ~Kim
