Gus is such a wonderful young boy and just what Justin needed was his hug and love. Craig is an ass and I'm glad Justin confronted him, he is evil. Thank god for Brian as well,i love their love

OK looks like this is where i left off ciz I don t see a review from me in the list. So...here it is, you lucky lucky person! (JK)

So even the dragon cannot access his secret mountasin of gold! Bwa Ha Ha! GOOD! Hoping things go NOT his way in future chapters

Loved the nice erotica, romantic ending without the overly graphic sex...good to see I'm not the only one doing it...altho I guess I do need to add a bit more smut to mine....Ahh well.

So what's this QWAN, I've been seeing?

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  Thanks for the feedback; yeah, Craig is a pretty big scum, isn't he?  Glad you liked the ending, but I'm not sure you need more smut in yours; I think you include smut pretty liberally in your 'fairy' tales, and very vividly, I might add...:)  Sometimes, though, I'm like you; I prefer a little more romance involved, especially with two men who are supposed to be soulmates and spouses (not that I mind down-and-dirty smut, too - ha!).

And QWAN?  It's some sort of impromptu theater group that Randy and his friends have organized that stands for "Quality Without A Name" (how cute - LOL!).  They occasionally put on one-night readings of plays.  I've only seen one of their readings - the last one - but it was very funny and spontaneous.  What was even funnier to me, though, was the car out in the parking lot with the license plate "BKINNEY" on it - I kid you not!  I thought it was great; now that's a true fan!

Thanks again for the support; now go over and get your OWN story updated! (Hint, hint....)  *hugs*  ~Kim

Hope!! I hope Laurie divorces Craig and takes the mony. Or maybe takes the company and leaves Craig to rot in jail. Great chapter. 1 week left, lok forward to meeting you and seeing QWAN.

hey kim,

i know i've told you this already, but i love this chapter. i feel so privleged that i get to see it ahead of time, and that you trust me enough to look over your spectacular work. you are one of the most talented people i know, and i just thought others should know that too. i loved this chapter, you had the right amount of angst, that i love as you know ;}, balanced with just the right amount of love from both our boys. you never cease to amaze me with your work.

thank you for letting me into your head sometimes, that alone is worth a million times more then i could ever repay.

Author's Response:

Hi, dear friend - it means a lot to me that even after having the chance to read this off site that you took the time to leave me feedback.  Of course, you know how much I love the comments!  And I love YOU for all the help you give me with my stories and for keeping me on track when I try to rename characters or head them off in directions that wouldn't make sense - ha!  I am blessed that I have a beta who puts so much time and effort into keeping me on the straight and narrow!  I can't thank you enough for that!  So I thank YOU for all the constant support and for everything you do for me.  You are very special.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

brilliant - this take down of Craig is long overdue - and the hurt for Justin, not to mention Brian - well it breaks my heart - yet the love between them is still so poignant and breathtaking -

the little moment between Jsutin and Gus was especially endearing - and I bet will set the tone when the 'let's be dads' talk begins - Brian is learning so much about fatherhood from those on either side of his generation - and watching Justin love his son warms his heart more and more as he forges his relationship with his son...and his dad

great story telling - thanks Kim

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle!  Thank you for your kind words and for reading, Sweetheart.:)  You said that very well about how Brian is not only learning what it means to be a son but a father as well.  Poor Justin's father is worse, I think, than Jack Kinney was, and that's saying a lot!  Obviously there is still a lot more of this story to tell - so many angles; what was I thinking??? Ha!  I'm so glad you enjoyed this chapter.  I'm just sorry it took me so long to update it!  Thank you for all you support, Charle; that means the word to me!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I must leave a comment here, as well as on LJ. I will simply reiterate that this chapter was fantastic and I can't wait for more.

Cheers,

Vin

Author's Response:

Aww..you're so sweet, Vin, to do that! Thank you.:)  You know how much that means to me.:)  *Hugs* ~Kim

BTW, you're favorite is up soon - I really need to write a little "Tricky" first, but then it's back to the twins.:)

Sadly, it doesn’t appear that this is over for Justin.  Had it been, I could see him back at Britin, feet up on the kitchen table, having the cookies & cream ice cream cones with Gus.  Craig, a total sleaze bag, held the honored title of father, and ruined it. Emotions run deep, and often not logical.  I don’t know if this could ever really end for Justin, no matter how much he tries, no matter what he claims.

Just exactly what did Craig do this time?  He contributed to Turner’s campaign.  That was his right to do so, though he broke the law with the amount he contributed.  Yes, it was done, not for the benefit of Turner, but as an aggressive act towards both Justin and I believe more so towards Brian.  Still, I don’t think it was necessary to destroy the man.  I could see possible jail time for Craig, (maybe?), as he should be getting a visit from a couple of IRA agents soon.  It is impossible to defend Craig, but to destroy him?  I don’t think that is necessary.

Once again, thanks for this great story.

Author's Response:

Hi, David!  You always impress me with the thoughtfulness you put into your comments; I thank you sincerely for that.:)  And I thank you for still following along on this rather convulated story.  I tend to agree with you - Craig is certainly not a sympathetic character, and Justin may SAY that he has cut all ties to his father and now considers him as good as dead, but deep down he is still his father.  So perhaps he may have some influence in what does or doesn't happen to him.  However, as you pointed out, it is a legal matter now, and his punishment may not be up to Justin to decide.  Craig may just have some other tricks up his sleeve as well...hmm...

I will update this story again just as soon as possilble; there is still a lot left to say here.  Thank you again for your constant support of this story, David!  I am very grateful for that.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Nice to see this installment here.  This was quite the chapter.  I knew Jus would explode when he learned of his father's part in the mess.  I am really proud of him for taking the action he did.  I know he is very upset, embarrased and hurt, but what he did was very courageous and final.  Just got home from work and Lee was still up and told me this was here so I was quite happy to read before getting some much needed rest.  So busy the last few days.  Guess I will be doing 12 hour shifts for a while which while exhausting in some ways still gives me three or four days off in the week. This will leave me time to do the mundane things and shop. ha!.  I love to shop but rarely get the chance.  I guess the peeps will be going out to dinner Friday as we are all off.  Lee's friend John from back east will be arriving Thursday with "THE DEVIL.  Nice guy to drive all the way here for him.  I told him I would buy his ticket home.  He will be staying with us for a few days first.  Off to by by land now. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, Dear Friend!  I was thinking of you, so I was happy to hear from you.  I'm also delighted to hear that Lee was hired for the job!  I'm sure you are all delighted to be working again together, and I think it will do him a world of good to be with his friends.  Glad, too, that the "Devil" is on its way out - ha!

Had a great time weekend before last seeing our little lamb in his play - he is so gorgeous.:)  And I'm almost embarrassed to say that I will be going to MA next weekend to see him again in QWAN, but I'm going anyway - LOL

Anyway, I digress.:)  This was a difficult thing for Justin to go through, but I think necessary.  And while it would be devastating to anyone to know how much their own father despised him, Justin also knows how much he is loved by Brian and the rest of his friends and family.  I've got a lot still to tell with this story as you can imagine (including Craig getting his 'just desserts').  Thanks so much for the comments, lindc.  I know I've said it before, but the fact that you keep supporting my stories after so long and despite your move to the other coast means so much to me - you will never know how much.  Thank you again, my friend.  *hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Kim!  I'm so glad that you're enjoying the story, my friend!  I know there's a lot of stories to read on the site right now, so I thank you sincerely for taking the time to read mine and to leave me your thoughts.:)  I appreciate that so much!  There's still quite a bit to tell of this, so I hope you will continue to enjoy it, and I promise to update it regularly.  Thank you again, Kim!  (You know you have my favorite name, too - ha!)

Just for tonight - help me to stop thinking about what I've lost and remind me of the blessings that I have instead."

I love that line.

This was a beautiful but painful chapter. Just when I thought Criag could not get any lower. The pain Justin felt must have been multiplied by seeing how happy Brian is with his father.

I can't wait to see Craig get his.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie!  You're so faithful about reviewing my stories, and I appreciate that so much - thank you.:)  You're right - this was a difficult chapter to read (and write), but I really couldn't see it going any other way based on how Craig is portrayed in this story.  But I know that Justin also realizes how much of a 'real' family he has with Brian and his father, as well as his own mother and sister and all his other extended circle of friends.  Thank you for taking the time to read this latest chapter and for leaving me feedback.  That means the world to me! *Hugs*  ~Kim

God, I think this is first time you've made me cry! Poor Justin! Holding out all that hope and then have it finally over once and for all. Craig really is the loser in this and I hope he gets nailed (and not in a good way!) I feel sorry for his wife. Thank God Justin has Brian. Hopefully they can concentrate on the campaign now.

Author's Response:

Hi, Megan!  Sorry I made you cry, but in a way I'm flattered that it affected you so much.  I know that Justin had held out hope that things would improve with his father, but I think it's important now that he realizes that is not going to happen so he can concentrate, instead, on those people that DO love him.  And I do think that he will throw himself now not only into the campaign, but probably with some paintings as well, since that seems to be the typical way that he expresses his emotions, whether postive or negative.

Thank you for being so faithful in reading and reviewing my stories, Megan!  I know you have a choice (and a wide one, at that) of which stories to spend your time with on here, and I am extremely grateful that you consistently make time to do that with mine.  I hope that I can continue to write stories that you enjoy.  I will get this one updated again as soon as possible.  Thank you again, Megan.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

OMG Poor Justin!

Kathy is right.  Craig Bastard Taylor doesn't deserve a son as wonderful as Justin or a son-in-law as wonderful as Brian.  It's his loss, but I feel so sorry for Justin now that he realizes just how evil Craig is.

The scenes with Gus were so sweet!  Glad Justin had him to remind him how loved he is.  And Brian was there to pick up the pieces, just like he's been every single time Justin was hurt since they night they met.

Can't wait to see Craig get what's coming to him.  He deserves whatever punishment is given to him, the harsher the better.  Hopefully his carcass will rot in prison where he'll make lots of "friends" if you get my meaning!  Yeah, I'm mean that way when it comes to Brian and Justin!

Another wonderful chapter, Kim!

Nita

Author's Response:

Hi, Nita!  Thank you for those thoughtful comments, my friend.:)  I'll try to give Craig some 'appropriate' punishment before this is all said and done.:)  I never did care for his character at all on the show, but of course I suppose that was the point.  Definitely not someone who gives you warm and fuzzy feelings; even in "Stallion," it's hard for me to write him as a well-liked character - ha!  I DID think it was important in this chapter that Brian show his love and support for Justin, but also step back a little to give Justin the space that he needed to handle his confrontation with Craig on his own.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting, Nita; and thank you for always being so supportive of my stories - I am very grateful for that.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Thank you! I've been missing this story so much. The pain that Justin is in right now is so real and raw. I love the real, honest portrayal of the relationship between Brian and Justin. It is in no way one sided, not sappy, not storybook... it's real.

Can't wait for the next chapter. Again, thanks.

Roni

Author's Response:

Hi, Roni!  Thank YOU for those lovely comments and for being so supportive of my stories, my friend.  I'm sorry there's been such a long delay in updating this one - I knew it needed to be updated in the worst way, so I'm glad that it didn't disappoint.  (Darn Randy - if he would just quit doing so much performing lately he wouldn't distract me - ha!).  Anyway, I appreciate your comments very much, and I agree.  I wanted to show Brian as a more mature character in this story and one that evolves, but hopefully not one that has changed unrealistically.  I see him as more open regarding his feelings with Justin, but still having some of the hard-edged character traits that he has always had.  And I think he above everyone else would know what Justin did - or didn't - need in this chapter, and would know when to be involved and not be involved with his husband's confrontation with his father.

I will try my best to get this updated again sooner rather than later!  Thank you for your patience and for being so supportive of my stories!  I know it's hard find time to be an author (and a good one, too, I might add!) as well as a reader, so the fact that you took the time out of your own writing schedule to read this chapter means a lot to me!  Oh, and if I didn't say so before, CONGRATS on the blue ribbon to your story!  I'm sure there will be a lot more of those to come.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

This is one of the best chapters in any story you have written so far i believe.  To say craig got his balls handed to him wouldn't be a lie.  go justin, you are the best.  hard to do but very necessary. now we can move on and get fin elected.  one major hurdle down.  i have a job at the hospital.  i have to go through a 90 day probation period before i can get benefits.  i guess is s.o.p.  i am staying with lindc for the time being as i am still meeting with my counselor and she thinks i need to not be alone too much.  guess she is right, but i am much better and see things in a different light.  thanks for this chapter it rather cathartic for me to see bad asses get their  due. lov 2 you.  10 +++

Author's Response:

Oh, Lee, I'm SO glad to hear from you, my friend!  That makes me very happy to see you on here.  Congrats on the new job!!  I knew they would be crazy not to hire you!  And I'm very glad to see you working with lindc and Brian again, as I'm sure they're thrilled to have you with them as well.:)  Now all you need to do is rescue the "Lucky Devil" if you haven't already.:)

I'm glad you are doing better, Sweetheart.  To say that you have had a difficult year is a major understatement, I know.  You are definitely due for some major happiness to come your way, and I hope sincerely that that happens for you. It already seems like things are turning around for you, and you know that I wish nothing but the best for you, my friend.:)

I'm glad that you liked this chapter!  I knew eventually it would come to this, but for anyone to finally realize that he needs to completely sever ties with his own father has to be quite devastating, but especially for someone like Justin who feels emotions so deeply.  I think he will be able to move on now and we can begin to concentrate more on the election.  I still have a lot of subplots to work through on this story, too, so I think I can say there's quite a bit more to tell here yet; I don't think your favorite will be going away anytime soon.;)

I'm so glad things are going better for you, Lee!  Please keep in touch and tell Nonie, Brian, and lindc that I said hello.  I'm sending you a big hug and my love.  ~Kim
