Oh Fin you are so brave, you did your son proud. Let's Adam is sent down. Good on the new guy helping even though I want him to loose

Got sidetracked by a sick little girl last night and didn't get to finish until now.

Thank God, everyone is ok!  And Brian finally realizes just how much Fin has come to mean to him.

Poor Justin and Tony had to be worried sick, and I'm sure they're still worried about what's still to come.  At least Adam is out of the picture and ready to talk.  I wouldn't go down alone either!

Another wonderful chapter!  Loving this story and can't wait for more.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie!  You're all caught up now, so I'd better get it updated soon!  I'll be working on it as soon as I get home - leaving in about an hour but it will be later this evening (our time) before I get back home.

You are right about Fin and Justin - they will still be worried.  But now that the new candidate is actually a decent guy, I don't see the same type of vitrolic hate spewing forth from the other camp at least.  I will be moving the story more to the Pitts and Harrisburg now in addition to the focus on the campaign, because I have a lot of other issues I want to address.

I hope both your daughter and you are feeling well at the moment - thank you again for all the time you took to comment and provide support for my stories - that means so much to me!  *Big Hug*  Kimberly

hi, just rearead your prequel and this story... I really enjoy it. I like that it is detailed and interesting beyond the bedroom (though that is NEVER some hardship to read, lol). I am looking forward to your updates and am interested to see how Brian's business fares in his absense and is affected by his efforts as a campaign manager. Also, Justin's desire for a child is still dangling there unvoiced.

I'm also eager to see any paintings Justin shows from his honeymoon and experiences on the campaign trail... I love to see him show what a success he is, and having Brian being there to support him.

Im sorry for your illness. Blood infections are horrible. My mom was in ICU six weeks last summer and on antibiotics for 6 months before they could positively say they nixed it. Worst part was, she got the infection during a realitively easy kidney stone removal surgery!!! Eat well and of the foods that boost your immune system and help repair the damage antibiotics themselves cause... I wish you well and a quick recovery.

Author's Response:

Hi, Michelle!  Thank you so much for your wonderful comments; I really appreciate that.  And thank you for the good wishes.  I am doing SO much better now - almost back to normal.:)  Sounds like you know what I'm talking about.

You are correct about this story, too - there are a LOT of angles I haven't been able to cover yet, but I will.  In the next part I will be moving the action back to the Pitts and to Harrisburg to start including that.  And I appreciate your comment about more than the bedroom - there certainly is plenty of sex in my stories, but there is a lot more to tell between them, and I think the rest of the story makes it more interesting.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave me your thoughts.  I will be posting a new (one-shot) hopefully later today and then updating "Tame the Wild Stallion" next, followed by this story.  I promise to get it updated just as soon as I can.  My students graduate in one week, so it's quite hectic for me right now.  I hope you will bear with me in the meantime.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

AHHH, I need to know who Stewart's taking down with him!! Glad Fin's okay, poor guy!! And poor Brian, knowing that knife was meant for him. You can tell how far Fin and Brian have come in their relationship. Maybe not your conventional father/son, but it's there. This is really one of your more edge-of-your-seat stories and I love it!

Author's Response:

Hi, Megan Rose!  So great to hear from you again.:)  I'm happy you're enjoying this story.  Yes, Brian and Fin's father/son relationship is a ever changing one, but I think both are becoming more involved with each other and realizing that they do care about each other unlike Brian's 'other' father Jack.  Thank you for the compliment on the story - I still have a lot to tell, so the story will be moving back to the Pitts and Harrisburg more in coming chapters.  I promise to update this very soon - I'm feeling much better now after my illness and my students will be graduating in two weeks so that means more writing time!  (After the QAF con in Germany, anyway)....Thank you again for all your support of my stories; I am very grateful for that.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Sorry i am soooo late with this review but i am in sin city having a blast.  I borrowed someone's laptop I had to put mine in the laptop shop as i think there is a virus lurking there somewhere. Won some money, not much, but saw to die for shows.  Cirque dedicated to the Beatles was wonderful.  Saw some semi scandelous shows. I love hunky men with little on, don't you?  I just knew mr. smart pants would win the bet.  Most of us thought it was Brian or Adam somehow. Now we have to take the boy to a concert.  I will tell him it better be something we want to see too.  Ha! Ha!.  I'm really glad Fin is ok-but he has to be as this story is about his campaign after all. Hope Parent trap is next.  Have to go pack as my flight leaves quite early tomorrow.  lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc!  Ha - Lee said you would be fit to be tied when you found out who got stabbed and he was right!  He might just become insufferable at some point now  - LOL!  So glad you had such a great time; I would love to see the Beatles tribute, also.  BTW - why would you think that I like scantily dressed men?  After seeing QAF they would all appear to be over dressed now - ha!  I'm feeling much better now - finally got the IV detached late Thursday and am going back to work on Monday.  Still have a little residual pain from the pleurisy and get tired a little too easily, but I think that will improve in the next few weeks.

Yes, Parent Trap is up next; I have most of the chapter written already but need to finish it first before it goes to my beta.  It should be posted in the next few days, though.  Have a safe trip back and I'll be looking forward to seeing where you take the boy for his concert.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hello just wanted to say that I loved this update and am so glad that neither Brian nor Fin were hurt badly. Thank you for your superb writing - as ever. Also I am very pleased to hear you are feeling a little better. I am hoping the rest of your recovery is quick and painless. Take care. I am very much looking forward to reading the next installment of parent trap!  Xxxxxx

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Kate, for reading and for the comments, as well as the well wishes.  I am doing so much better than last week; went back to the doctor yesterday who said my lungs are clear.  Still have some residual pain around the ribs and get tired a little too easily, but I'm quickly getting back to my normal self (thank God).  Thank you again for your kindess, Kate, as well as your being such a regular supporter of my stories; that means so much to me.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Thank you for the chapter.  I hope this means that you are feeling much much much better.

There is a piece of me, much like Tony and Justin, that wouldn’t mind all the much if the campaign just went away.  I know it can’t be, and I know all the stated reasons it much go on.  But – remember when Fin was talking so lovingly about his son, he didn’t mention one word about Gus, his grandson. Why – he doesn’t really know him.  Why – the campaign has gotten in the way.  The two of them, Fin, Gus (and make that 3 with Tony) would have such a great time together.  It sort of makes the reader want to shout out, “forget this sh*t, you have now have a family to enjoy.  I know I know I said it before, this cannot be (for now!).  But.......

     Again, thanks for the chapter.

     DavidR

Author's Response:

Hi, David! As always your comments are so thoughtful; I truly thank you for the care you take in expressing your opinion.:)  I can see your point - the campaign has been quite tiring for all of them.  If it's any consolation, I do intend to move the action closer to home now (Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) so I can interject some more 'human/candid moments back into their lives.  I think they definitely need some quiet time now.

I may take your advice and include that in an upcoming chapter - thank you for that idea.:)  I have a lot of other areas to address yet, so I will be slowly reintroducing those issues back into the story as I interweave them into the campaign.  Thank you again for your continuing support and encouragement of my stories, David.  I AM feeling much better now - I appreciate your concern.:) *Hugs*  ~Kim

I'm glad to hear you're doing better. Take care of yourself. And don't rush with writing stories. Your health comes first.

This is a excellent chapter. Thanks Fin for rescueing (hmm is this the right word!?) Brian.

* big hug *

Author's Response:

Hi, Marny, my dear! Thanks for the good wishes, my friend.  I'm doing much better - wish I could get rid of this ridiculous rib pain, but it's 98% better than the horrific, agonizing pain I was experiencing in the hospital.  I go back to the doctor for a follow-up on Tuesday so I should know how the antibiotics are working.  Thanks again for the support, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Thank you, Kim!  I'm so glad that you liked it.  It's nice to be getting back on track with my updates, too.:)  Thank you, also, for the good wishes about my health.  I am normally such a healthy person, so this came as a big shock to me.  I'm glad to be doing better and so relieved to be recovering at home.  Thanks again for all your support, Kim.  *Hugs*  ~Kim
