Just want to add: After enjoying such veeeery long story it doesn't feel right to just say "thank you". You must have put so much time and effort into writing this story to give us readers many, many hours of fun reading ist. But I wanted to thank you nevertheless. :-)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your kind words, and for choosing to read both of these very long stories!  And yes, it did take me a long time, but it is a labor of love, too.  Your acknowledgement of the time it takes to write stories, and your feedback, though, is so motivating to me, so I thank you for that! I really came to love Fin and Tony's characters, especially, and there is the new baby on the way, so I may just revisit them some day. :)

I hope I continue to write stories that you will enjoy!  ~Kim

Hi Kim!

Will there be an other story in this universe? I would love to read some more about Alex and Gus, Fin and Tony and this very nice elderly couple (grandpa, the fisherman : -) and his sweet wife) and the others! I enjoyed spending time in this universe. Again: Thank you for sharing!

Hi, Kim!

Finally found the time to read the sequel - an early Christmas present for me :)

Making Brian Fin's campaign manager - now that's a great idea!

Can't wait to see what father and son will do with it.

Oh man I hope Fin asks him to be his campaign manager it would help them. Ireland my home, welcome boys

I think you bean the "G" hotel, unless I'm mistaken.

Author's Response:

No, it was intentional, since I wasn't sure it would be wise to use the real hotel's name.  But I hope that doesn't detract from your enjoyment of the story, and I appreciate you favoriting this story and some of my others. Thank you. ~Kim

I would read a bus ticket if you wrote it Kim lol hugs Chris

Author's Response:

LOL!  Well, I'll try not to be as mundane as that, but you're very kind, Chris.  You've been supporting me pretty much ever since I started writing, and I appreciate that tremendously. Sending a big hug back your way as well.  ~Kim

Just a quick shout out to say I haven't forgotten this story. I fell out of the audience fold when I got under the weather, medically speaking there for a while; however, I plan to get back to it real soon. Don't know if I'll start over or try to find where I left off. Reviews should locate my last chapter read.

Any clues available on how many volumes this epic tale is planned to have? ;)

Author's Response:

Hi, Bob!  LOL! Are you insinuating that I write long stories? (tee, hee).  Thank you for popping in.  As for how many more? Depending upon how detailed I get, I'm thinking 3, maybe 4 more chapters? It's nearing the end, but I'm not quite there yet.;) So maybe you might want to wait until I'm totally done with it.  I do like to name the chapters, though; I prefer that with other writers, too, because I have enough trouble remembering where I left off if they're not named - LOL!;)  Thanks for visiting, my friend! *Hugs*  ~Kim

Testing the email system by sending you a review notice; I'll see if it gets bounced back to me. Working with Servage on the problem. Bob

Author's Response:

Thanks for letting me know, Bob. As you probably already figured out, I DID get it, and I started getting notifications on one of my other stories yesterday, also.  Hopefully that will keep occurring, but I know I was getting them before and then they quit again.  Hope it sticks this time! Thanks for your help and all your hard work, my friend.  ~Kim

Wow, Kim -- I'd given up hope for this one; it's great to see you're still working on it!  I'll wait until it's finished to read, but just wanted to pop in and encourage you to keep going.  Your stories are always worth waiting for!

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  Yes, I know (hanging head sheepishly); it's been quite a while since the last update. I'm truly sorry about that. Between the long length of my chapters, working full-time, doing beta work and banners, co-writing a story, and working over here (well, you get the idea), my time has been very constrained lately.  I really appreciate your comment and knowing that you will be looking forward to reading it!  I will get another part up soon, and hopefully will be concluding it at some point in the near future.

Thank you again for the kind words.  Your support and encouragement mean a lot to me.  I hope you will enjoy reading it once it's complete.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Although it's hard to sit and read; will try to beginning this story again.  I can't remember where I left off so will comment at each chapter to give you the hits milady.

Author's Response:

Thank you, my friend, for your kindness.  I hope you enjoy it.  Hugs ~Kim

This chapter was wonderful.  Really love them together without any distractions.  Sweet.  Wow this whole site has chaged in the setup-not sure if i love it or not.  I t is very colorful.  Work going well-have been quite busy for the past few days.  There are a lot of newbies here.  Seem to be doing ok so far. BB will take them under his wing as usual.  Still trying to find him a soul mate. Ha!  I sent a text to Lee about this new chapter.  You will probably hear from him.  He is a little down in the dumps right now. I'll lt him fill you in if he wants.  Got to catch a few zzzzz am very tired. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, dear friend!  I'm very happy to hear from you.  Yes, received a review from Lee and heard - very sorry to hear about that, but he has to do what is best for him.

BTW - I'm not sure why it's reverting to the 'elegance' skin - I noticed that myself.  But if you go over to the upper right-hand corner on the site, there's a drop-down box that says 'elegance,' and if you click on 'zenlike,' it will revert back to the old format, which is the one that I prefer, also.:)

I'm glad that your job is going well, lindc; keep up with the matchmaking - if anyone can find a special someone for Brian, it will be you.:)  Just make sure you screen them well first - ha!

I'll be updating this one again soon - Justin and his father will be having a much-needed - but painful - confrontation (mentally, not physically).  BTW - have a new Tricky story in the wings, but I'm doing my best to wait until it's all done before I start posting it (that's unusual, isn't if?  LOL).  Now on my way to the twins in "Parent Trap" next.  Thanks again for all the support, Sweetheart.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I loved all the canine references you included. I will have to send you an email about some Irish dog tidbits. I am glad I finally found the time to start this story. I'm sure it will be another epic novel filled with adventure and true love.
Lori

Author's Response:

Hi, Lori! Thank you for the feedback, my friend; you know how much that means to me.  Would love to hear some more 'furry tales' from you anytime.:)  Just got a home visit from the nurse - said my lungs sound good; I go back to the lung doctor for a checkup tomorrow and am hopeful he'll finally give me the green light to get rid of this IV I have attached to me 24/7 (the last dose is scheduled for this Thursday), so things are definitely looking up.  I'm feeling much better now, thank God.:)

Thanks again for being such a wonderful supporter of my stories, Lori!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hello just wanted to say that I loved this update and am so glad that neither Brian nor Fin were hurt badly. Thank you for your superb writing - as ever. Also I am very pleased to hear you are feeling a little better. I am hoping the rest of your recovery is quick and painless. Take care. I am very much looking forward to reading the next installment of parent trap!  Xxxxxx

Having traveled much I guessed Ireland from the first clues and the booze nailed it down.

I haven't read a story for months due to RL issues in my way and guess whose story I chose to read first?

Author's Response:

Well, I am both speechless and honored that you chose mine, Bob!  I'm delighted!  And I missed you like mad while you were gone!

another amazing chapter.

Author's Response:

Thank you, my friend!  I promise to make it more angst-filled as the story progresses; have to give the boys a little break for now, though...:)

I love this story ;-) Great chapter looking forward for more ;-)

Hugs Linda

Author's Response:

Thanks, Linda!  Glad you'll be reading along.  There will be much more drama as the story progresses - after the boys come back from their little honeymoon.:)

Ireland sounds wonderful for a honeymoon.

Author's Response:

I know, doesn't it? (sigh)....but then again, if I was with EITHER man, I wouldn't care WHERE I went on MY honeymoon - ha!  Thanks as always for reading and especially reviewing - I really appreciate that.:P

Hi,

I am glad to see you continue with this story.  It

tackles issues rarely covered in Brian/Justin

stories.

Ireland huh?  That should be very interesting.  One

of the aspects of Brian that has always bothered

me is that he is in so many ways, alone.  One can

be self sufficient, independent, blah blah blah, but

not alone in the Brian Kinney way.  I guess that is

the major reason why I really like this story.  Brian

is getting a family, and a family that truly cares for

him.

Thanks again for continuing this story.

DavidR

PS:  I vote no.  There is so many problems that

can and most likely will happen if Brian

        becomes Fin’s campaigne manager.  Just

imagine what the press will say!  Then again,

what is a story without issues.  Then again, I

        still vote no.

Author's Response:

Hi, David!  Thank you for leaving me your thoughts - I'm glad you enjoyed "The Wedding Present."  As you mentioned, this new story will continue some of the same issues that were brought up in the previous story.  I appreciate your take on whether to make Brian his father's campaign manager.  I respect your viewpoint and see a lot of validity in it; however, I see a lot of good coming out of him agreeing to do it as well - not only to provide greater attention to issues that need to be addressed in real life, but a need for Fin to depend upon his son for help and for Brian to develop a stronger, deeper bond with his real father.  And frankly, from a writer's perspective it also makes for one whale of a plot device.:)  So I have to go with my gut and will in all probability write it in that direction.  Hope in either case you'll stick around to see how it progresses.  I should be updating it very shortly.  Thanks again for leaving my your thought-provoking review.:)

Thank you so much, Kate!  So glad you're looking forward to the sequel.:)  Thanks for leaving me the review - I really appreciate that.:)

OMG OMG OMG I love this new one you are unbelievable you manage to write such fabulous fics and they so addicting. I am really going to enjoy this exploration of Brian and Fin's relationship and the lesser but not least relationship of Tony and Justin as they work their magic on the Irish big dicks lol

Author's Response:

Thanks, Chris - LOL!  This one promises to further explore Brian and Fin's growing relationship, as well as how he gets to know his grandparents, along with Gus' gradual acceptance of his new family members.  In addition, it's going to delve into Tony's ongoing desire to eventually marry Fin (time will tell on that, though...), as well as Fin's campaign and Brian's involvement with it.  Of course, Justin will also be involved and there will be plenty of good old fashioned PWP/sex as well, not to fear - LOL!  After all the boys ARE on their honeymoon initially......Thanks for taking the time to leave me your thoughts - you're so faithful in doing that and I appreciate that more than you know.:)

Reviewer: Kemma (Signed) · Date: March 20, 2011 02:30 PM · On: Beginnings

Yay! I love this particular world you've created. Brian and Justin are still very much in character, as are the other QAF characters, but I love the new characters you've created as well.  And you did a great job bringing the reader up to speed on what's going on from the previous story without getting repetitive or boring. I read "The Wedding Present" a few months ago, but didn't feel the need to reread in order to follow along with this sequel. Can't wait for the next chapter -- looking forward to not only the honeymoon, but Brian working with his dad! :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Kemma!  So glad you enjoyed TWP and will be reading along with this one.:)  I really think if Brian agrees to be Fin's manager it will definitely bond them closer together, but don't want to give too much of the plot away yet.:)  Thanks for taking the time to review and for reading - I really appreciate that!:)

Reviewer: Bigdogz09 (Signed) · Date: March 20, 2011 02:12 PM · On: Beginnings

Loved the original and the sequel looks like it will equal the first.  Brian as Fin's campaign manager - brilliant.  I really love the two couples and how they mirror each other, yet are unique onto themselves.

Looking forward to the ride!

All the best,

Laura

Author's Response:

Thank you, Laura!  TWP was one of my favorites to write and I really love Fin and Tony.:)  This story promises to have a lot of romance, angst, and drama.  Thanks for letting me know you'll be reading along, my friend.:)  Also looking forward eagerly to the continuation of your QAF story as well!:)

Woo hoo its back. I missed the you and oh yeah this story

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your kind words!  Yes I decided it was time to resurrect them.  I have a lot more story to tell about Brian and his father and their respective mates/partners.:)  I really like Fin and Tony, and the story promises to be a real roller coaster ride just like the original.  So glad to see you'll be reading along - thanks for leaving me your thoughts - I greatly appreciate that!:)

Great begining of the sequel, love the idea.

I love it already....lol... Brian as Fin's campaign manager sounds like a fantastic idea.... and going to Ireland to do some "research" on his dad sounds great too... Thanks....

Author's Response:

Thank you, my friend - so glad you'll be reading along.  Yeah, I think having Brian be his father's campaign manager is a perfect way to help bring father and son closer together.  It will also evoke quite a bit of drama along the way.  Hope you stay tuned for more - thanks for reading and especially taking the time to review.:)

This is one of my favorite stories.  It is off to a great start!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  Yes, Fin and Tony really seemed to resonate with a lot of readers, but I'm sure you can see where reading The Wedding Present first makes a big difference in understanding this one.  Thanks for reading it and for starting this new journey with me.  And thanks for taking the time to review - I really appreciate that.:)

this is going to be another great story.  campaign manager--now that's something brian can do quite well i think.  this is going to be a long one.  i know how campaigns run.  i worked on one in ca, when i lived there.  what a lot of work. omg. now on to the honeymoon and finding lost family.  you go girl--really looking forward to this one. lol

Author's Response:

Thank you my friend - and thanks for being such a loyal reader and reviewer.  I so appreciate that.  So is BB back yet?  It really stinks not having access to a computer, doesn't it?  Now we know how the caveman felt when he was cold and couldn't find any sticks for his fire - ha!  Thanks for reading this - tell BB I promise to get on TLC ASAP (after Double Jeopardy, though - time for another counseling for the boys....sigh....poor things....LOL!).

Author's Response:

Thank you my friend!:)  Yeah, I couldn't think of a better (albeit controversial) person to run his father's campaign - now all Fin has to do it talk him into it.  Glad to see you'll be reading the story.  Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.:)
