Great story!!!   I loved Justin as an artist, but not the usual out and about tryimg to sell his art, kind of artist.   He is an artist, who helps children, and based on his nature, would do it for free, if it only brought a smile to a child's face.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sarah!  I'm very honored that you are reading so many of my stories, and enjoying them! Thank you so much for reading, and especially taking the time to commment.  I greatly appreciate that.  I don't know if you're read "Remember Me," but if not may I suggest that one?  It's a real rollercoaster ride, though, but I think you'll like it when it comes to an end. It was probably one of the most poignant ones I have written. Thanks again for all the encouragement!  ~Kim

Justin is so cute, I hope thry get together soon they really are perfect for each other. I am glad Mel is nice to Brian in this one, so many have her bad all the time. I do hope Brian gets to take Gus on that holiday and the the girls don't stop him.

Justin has such a heart of gold and doing that for Brian is more thoughtful then he even realises. I remember watching my parents sit by my bedside for weeks and sometimes months on end when I was in hospital all through my childhood and slept on fold out beds. It's not easy for anyone and you honestly showed this so perfect. Brian's emotions are spot on as are the girls. I hope it brings them closer and not drive them apart. I do hoof a Brian gets to take Gus to that game and get those autographs and create many more memories.

you are doing a beautiful job with this, thank you for writing it 💕💞💕

oh my gosh, I am in love with this story, I was blushing all shades of red during the little scene between brian and justin, really enjoying this and I hope you write more. Thanks :)

Author's Response:

Hi, Adrita!  Thank you so much for reading and for that wonderful feedback!  I'm thrilled that you're enjoying this story; it was one of my favorites to write, and I adore writing stories about Gus with his dad.:)  I do hope you enjoy the rest of it if you haven't finished it yet.  If you liked this one, you may perhaps enjoy "Stirring Up Trouble" if you haven't read that one.  It has some similar elements to it.  I've written over 60 stories (three are unfinished, but I'm working on them), and if you like Gus, he is featured in a lot of them, including "Paper Hearts Killer," and all the "Tricky the Dog Stories" (The first one is "Bless the Beasts and the Children.")

Thank you again for reading and especially taking the time to review!  I really appreciate that.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I love this story.  I work in a hospital so it's a must for me to read.  I loved Florence and Leroy.  Those names were quite a riot.  As usual kept reading til it was finished.  I am a fast reader-helps in my job as I work with doctors in med records, fast and furious at times. I guess there are several gay and straight people employed who read on this site.  Who knew it was so popular. Guess now I can sleep. adieu

Author's Response:

Hi, Sierra!  I am feeling spoiled by all the wonderful comments; thank you so much!  I do enjoy writing stories where the boys can kind of banter back and forth with each other, so I really liked writing this one.  It always makes me a little nervous to write about medical issues, though; I try to research them as much as I can, so hopefully they wind up being plausible at least.  I'm so delighted that you liked this one!  Thank you again. I hope you continue to enjoy them while you recuperate and that you have a good night's sleep.  Sweet dreams! *Hugs*  ~Kim

This story is the best. Doing a hospital scenario is precious as is this story.  I shed a few, well more than a few tears reading this one.  You certainly have a way with the english language.  Lindc said to read this one next as she knew I would love it.  Florence and Leroy were wonderful fun.  This one was a little more light-hearted after Paper Hearts.  They are both great although in different ways.  We deal with a lot of young patients here. I'm taking your advice and going to Stirring up trouble now. by 4 now.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  I'm so glad you enjoyed this one.:)  I'm not surprised that lindc suggested it because she and the 'peeps' really seemed to like this one when I wrote it.  I'm so delighted that you did, too.:)  I do hope you like "Stirring Up Trouble."  There's some angst in that one but it''s mostly a fun read.  And I did like the 'Leroy and Florence' part in this story, too.:)

Thank you once more for all the wonderful comments, Nonie!  It will be so fun to read what you think of my stories once lindc and Brian are there with you.:)  I certainly wish them and Lee the very best and a smooth transition.  I'm sure your support will be very instrumental in that.:)  Thanks again.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Another reread for me... enjoyed it very much. I love when the underdog gets the job... or Justin is recognised for his character and worth and is acknowledged for it. :) A very good story!

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and for those kind words, Michelle!  Yes, I thought Justin would be perfect in the role of an art therapist and I really enjoyed placing Gus in the center of the action (much like in "Paper Hearts Killer") because it always changes the way that Brian approaches things.  I always loved the way his entire facial expression changed when his son was in the picture.:)

You're very kind to read and especially review on one of my older stories; I still get a thrill out of reading them even though they may have been finished for a while.  Thank you again for that - as well as for your ongoing support of all my stories; that is very motivating to me, my friend.  I hope I can continue to entertain you with more stories to come.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

HI Kim, I finished reading the paper hearts killer, now i m starting with this one, i hope u can update the parents trap asap, as that is the most favorite one for me. Cheers, June:)

Author's Response:

Hi, June!  I'm so sorry that I didn't respond earlier to this; for some reason I am NOT getting notifications when I receive a review now, so I have to manually check for them.:(  Thank you for letting me know you're reading this one; it was one of my favorites to write, so I do hope you enjoy it.

I am working on the update to "Parent Trap" right now - having been in the hospital for five days recently, it really put me behind.  But I'm doing much better and my 'enforced' rest period at least should give me some more time to write.  I'm glad you're enjoying that story.  Poor Justin won't go down without a fight, but I think we all know where that will lead eventually (wink, wink).  Thanks again for all your support, June; I never want a reader to think I'm taking their support for granted.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I've really enjoyed this story so far! That homophobic surgeon pissed me off... unfortunately, there are many assholes like that in the world. If it had been a man and a woman, the guy probably wouldn't have reported it; or at least, he wouldn't have demanded the employee be fired.

I just had to comment about this chapter. Sigh... just as it looks like our boys are about to get it on... ANGST! It can never be easy with these two, right? ;) Drama and pleasure always go hand in hand.

Author's Response:

Hi, Nancy!  Don't worry - you're getting close to the action now (wink, wink...).  I'm so glad you're enjoying the story, my dear; thank you for letting me know.:)  I hope you enjoy the rest of Leroy and Florence's little adventure - LOL!  Thanks again.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hey Kim! I have several hours of free time on my hands, so I've decided to give this story a read. I just hate to see poor little Gus in danger or hurt/sick, but I'm sure he'll be okay in the end... especially with orderly Justin watching over him. As always, it's lust at first sight with Justin and Brian :) And I just love to read a Dada and Sonny Boy story!

Author's Response:

Hi, Nancy!  Thanks for giving this one a read!  I do hope you like it.:)  And yes, Gus is very sick in the beginning of the story, but overall I won't dwell on it for too long.  I think you'll be happy with the outcome.  I really enjoyed writing this one and Gus and his "Dada" are featured quite prominently.:)  Thanks for letting me know you'll be taking a look at it.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Thanks, Lin-Anne!  Hope you enjoy it.:) The two new characters I created for that story, Fin and Tony, have become almost as real to me now as Brian and Justin are.  I hope you feel the same way when get done.  It's a long one!  But I do hope you like it.:)  Thanks for your confidence in me; and thank Brian again for the recommendation.  I really appreciate his support.:)

What a remarkable story this is.  I found myself not being able to stop reading this.  I had several phone calls that went to voice-mail.  I know kind of selfish huh?  I just felt it was necessary to finish what I had started and it was my day off.  Good excuse right?  I must say this story fits in with some work that is similar in some of the hospitals I have worked. Peds is a very important field.  You depicted Justin's work wonderfully.  Young children are one of the most needy in a hospital setting.  So bravo to you for showing it.  Very appreciative of this story.  It  was wonderful to read.  What of your stories should I read next??  Your imput is needed.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lin-Anne!  What a delight to see you reading another one of my stories!  Thank you for that, and for the wonderful comments.:)  This one was a favorite, too, of lindc, Brian, Lee, and the rest of the 'peeps' as they call themselves - ha!   I always get a little nervous when I write about medical matters, knowing that I have 'experts' reading them, so I'm very glad that you liked this one.:)

Hmm...not sure what type of story you're looking for, but I can suggest a few that seemed to have been very popular.  One is "Stirring Up Trouble," where Justin is a cake designer and meets Brian through his son.  It's a fairly light read.  The other one, "Remember Me," is a lot more angsty and is a real tearjerker in spots.  Both are fairly long stories.  There is also "The Wedding Present," where Brians finds out he was adopted.  It's the prequel to "My Heart's Desire," which is a current work-in-progress, but it can stand alone and was very popular as well.  Don't worry, BTW, about the angst; I can't write these guys without giving them a happy ending eventually.:)

If you're looking strictly for something funny, I might suggest "Roughing It" where Justin takes Brian camping (I mean, come on!  Brian going camping?  LOL!), or "Bon Appetite," where Justin and Emmett take French cooking lessons and Justin plays with the food.  The cook develops a 'taste' for Justin, much to Brian's consternation; that one is part angst, part humor.

Hope that helps!  And thanks again for the lovely comments.  I hope you continue to enjoy some of my other stories.:)  ~Kimberly

I must say this is a wonderful story.  I had to keep reading to learn the result.  Would it be we could have a Justin at this hospital.  As I work with children from 2-10, we certainly could use someone like him with his artistry,  Many children vent their problems into their artwork and it's up to us to try to comprehend and try to help and resolve if possible.  Your writing is quite marvelous I must say.  Your description is on point and keeps your readers very interested in whats to come next.  I must rest my eyes for awhile and go to housework ugh!!  I was asked to read the Christmas stories you have written next.  I guess my mentor has been correct so far ha!! As the boys say later!  I think we must have some things common??

Author's Response:

Hi, Jo-Ellen!  So great to hear from you again, and so soon - ha!  I'm delighted.:)  Thanks for leaving the feedback for this story.  I think this position would be a great one for any hospital.  As you said, a lot of times children can express what they're feeling in drawing and writing it down better than expressing themselves verbally.  I hope you enjoy the Christmas stories.  "A Kinney Christmas" is the newer of the two and longer.  I actually have another Christmas story on another site that I have never posted over here.  It's the only story that isn't over here now, so if I get the chance I may try to post it before Christmas.  I'm also working on a new Christmas story (hopefully!).  I only have a chapter of it written so far, though.

BTW - if you're looking for a recommendation (if I may be so bold), may I suggest "Stirring Up Trouble?"  It's not very angsty unlike a lot of my other stories and it was one of my favorites to write.  Justin is a cake designer in that one and he and Emmett are business partners.  I always loved Emmett!  Of course, it's also a Brian/Justin love story and prominently features Gus.  I hope you a chance to read that one, too.  And I also like my humorous stories such as "Roughing It" where they go camping (I mean, Brian and camping?  Of course it would have to be funny - ha!).  Again, thanks so much for your kind words!:)~Kimberly

I don't know if you read reviews of your finished stories or not.  I am leaving this one where it belongs.  Each time I finish one of your stories i think it is my favorite.  This one is truly my favorite so far.  Such a sweet, emotional, funny story with a little angst to major angst thrown in.  I really envy your writing abilities.  I get very nervous when I have to write up practicals for my patients here.  I read this from beginning to end with a few knoshes in between.  I think I'm off to read what is done so far on paper hearts-I was told to read tlc first and paper hearts next.  I'm a good girl, so I am doing what I was told. HA!

Author's Response:

Hi, Kym!  Yes, I get a notice when someone reviews an older story, and it's always a thrill to read feedback on one!  I think too often on the older stories readers don't think to do that, so each one of them is especially appreciated.:)  Thank you, then, for letting me know you read it and enjoyed it.  I know this was a favorite of lindc, brian, and lee as well.:)  I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks again for reading so many of my stories and especially for the feedback!:)

Poor Justin! I was almost in tears. Sick of Mel though. Love Daphne! "Orly" too cute! :)

Author's Response:

Thanks, Susan; yeah, it's hard to write Mel as a sympathetic character, isn't it?  I just never could warm up to her - far too abrasive for my taste!  Not to fear about "Orly," though - he will eventually turn things around.:)

What a great story.  I love your style of writing.  Very well written.  I loved the way you told the story, lots of suspense and plenty of hot boy on boy play time.  The beginning battle to save Gus's life had me hanging on the edge of my seat.  I checked the site every day waiting for updates.  I am sad to see it come to an end, but happy with the ending.  Thanks for sharing your talent.

Thank you so much for your comments, Lori!  That means a lot to me.:)  I try to make my stories somewhat unique when I write them, so I hope I've accomplished that with this one, and knowing that others are enjoying them is like music to my ears - thank you for taking the time to let me know enjoyed it and for leaving your thoughts - I am very appreciative.:)  ~Kimberly

Well, better late that never... right?? Once again, I am speechless. Fabulous ending to a story I have thoroughly enjoyed - start to finish. This was filled with drama, the sexy hotness only these two can fully elicit... and such love. I for one, and I know there are so many other's will miss this one tremendously. Kudos on another outstanding work to add to your completed collection. *Sigh* How I wish, I could add a couple of mine into that category. Haha. Soon, I hope... but, it's not quite there yet. Lol.

Okay, break time is over. Back I go to see what kind of mischief 'skater boy' can find... or be saved from. Ha. Again, thank you for this wonderful story. It is one to  be long remembered.

:)

Author's Response:

Hello, my dear, what a wonderful surprise to see your comments, especially considering how full your own schedule is right now!  I am trying fervently NOT to start a new one presently so I can complete my other WIPs a bit faster.  You know how hard that is, though, but I'm really trying to resist the pull!  I'm about done with the next chapter of "My Heart's Desire," although that one for some reason is proving hard to write this time.  So glad you're working on "skater boy," because that one is one of my favorites right now.:)  So great to hear from you, my friend.  Try not to work yourself up into a writing frenzy - ha!  Take care and hope you get a little rest before the weekend's over.:)

“Yes, God help me, damn it, but I fucking love you, Justin Taylor.”

I love the food fight.

The declaration of love at the end was perfect. It was exactly the way Brian would have said it.

Thank you for another wonderful story!!!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reading and for the comments, my friend; that means a lot to me.:)  I like to think that Brian matured somewhat to the point where he could actually express his feelings out loud a little easier as time went on, but as you said, though, he still would have put his own unique  'spin' on how he said it, though - ha!  Thanks again for taking the time to review and for your ongoing support of my stories - I love to write but knowing that others enjoy my stories is what keeps me motivated to keep going.:)

I'm so sorry I haven't reviewed until now, hon!! RL is crazy!

But I love this!! This is one of my favorites stories of yours. Justin sounds so happy in a job that's tailor-made for him (haha!) And to have Brian at his side, well, who could ask for more? :)

Author's Response:

Aw...thanks so much, my friend!  That means a lot to me.:)  I can certainly understand the responsibilties of RL - in fact, it's about to intrude on mine shortly when I go back to my teaching job soon; that's partly why I'm not opening up a new story just yet so hopefully I can keep updating my WIPs on a regular basis - I am very anal about making sure I do that.  Thanks so much for letting me know you enjoyed this story - I appreciate that so much, as well as all the reviews you leave for me.  Thank you - *Hugs* to you.:)~~Kimberly

LOL!  I THOUGHT you might like the fact that I finished this one, since you mentioned you only read completed works.  In fact, you were kind of the motivation for me skipping my normal posting rotation and writing the next (and final) chapter of this one.:)  Plus I knew I was probably close to finishing it anyway... I'm glad you'll be reading it - thanks for letting me know.:P)

i have been reading your stories.  i have a question.  do you write your stories on the go or do you block them out first?  just wondering.  it seems there is a lot of thought and prep that goes into them.  they are very good.  i think i will be reading a few more as they are quite good and good reading.

Author's Response:

Thank you again, Ryan!  As far as the thought that goes into them, believe it or not beyond a very general idea of the plot, most of the time I do write them as I go; they are not really outlined ahead of time.  I do try to place as much description into the chapters as I can without bogging them down too much; hopefully I strike a good balance with that goal.  I know there are a lot of readers who feel like they can actually see my stories in their minds as they read them, which I take as a great compliment.:)  I suppose I am just gifted with a good writing style - I least I hope most readers feel that way.  I do enjoy writing them immensely.:)  Thank you again for all the kind words - they are greatly appreciated!  I hope to hear more from you in the future.:)

WELL NOW, WHAT TO SAY.  THIS WAS A SUPER CHAPTER.  EVERYONE WAS PUT IN HIS PLACE.  SWANSON AND HIS COHORT GONE, AS IT SHOULD BE.  WHERE TO GO NOW.  LOKKS LIKE WE ARE ALMOST THROUGH READINGM THIS ONE.  I MUST SAY I, ESPECIALLY ENJOYED IT.  HAVING A BREAK IN OUR STRESSFUL LIVES WITH YOUR WRITINGS TO ABSORB IS VERY SOOTHING AND ENJOYABLE FOR ALL OF US.  THERE IS SOME CRUNCHING GOING ON HERE.  SOME OF MY IMMEDIATE SUPERIORS,TWO TO BE EXACT, ARE MOVING TO DIFFERENT HOPSITALS TO PLY THEIR TRADE.  THAT MEANS SOME ONE OR TWO HAVE TO FILL THEIR SLOTS.  I HAVE APPLIED AND WE SHALL SEE WHAT THE FUTURE BRINGS FOR US, AS I WILL BE TAKING MY (PEEPS) WITH ME AS PART OF MY APPLICATION.  WISH US LUCK AS WE EMBARK ON THIS (MAYBE) JOURNEY.  I FEEL WE HAVE EARNED IT-NOW TO SEE WHAT THE SUITS THINK.  LATER

Author's Response:

Hey, Brian! Thanks so much for the feedback!  lindc said you might be checking in.:)  I wish you and your co-workers the best of luck with your new endeavor - I really hope that works out for all of you!  You sound like such a great, compassionate group; I hope the 'movers and shakers' realize what they have and do something about it!:)  I'm glad you enjoy the stories as a stress reliever - that is very kind of you to say.  Good Luck with your new quest - let me know what happens!:)

Brian's distraction at work made me smile...could just picture it and being able to hear his musings on the subject made it even better.  I liked that Brian realized that he was jealous, fascinated with Justin, and couldn't wait to hear and see him again.  It was interesting to see all this self-realization on Brian's part.  Glad to see that Dr. McKenzie has now totally redeemed himself...he can stay. Good riddance to Swanson (and Kelley). Too bad he gets to collect his salary. Good to see Daphne's support of Justin.  Great chapter.  Thanks.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the thoughtful comments, Kacey!  Glad you liked this one.:)  I'll probably have one or two more chapters before this one is concluded.  Thank you so much for all your ongoing support of my stories - I am very grateful to you for that!:)

“I’m so fucking proud of you, Florence!” he teased him as Justin laughed in delight.  “And I’m so glad everything worked out for you!”

Nuff said.

Nice chapter!

Author's Response:

Thank you, my friend, for reading that humongous chapter (ha!) and for the kind words; I appreciate ALL my readers, but especially those that take the added step to leave me their thoughts as you are so wonderful at doing.  I see probably one more chapter as an epilogue before I put this one to rest.  Thanks for your loyalty!:)

Author's Response:

You're so sweet, my friend.:)  I'm okay - just get on these "pity-me" tangents from time to time.:)  I would never stop writing a story in mid-stream - just not in my nature - and not fair to those readers who faithfully DO follow my stories.  Thank you for the ego boost, though - that means more than you know.:)  I'm in the middle of writing pretty much just a down and out PWP smut scene for "Shower Scenes" at the moment - at least this one is actually back in the shower this time - ha!  You are so kind - tell BB I hope he enjoys this latest chapter of TLC.  And tell Lee and any other peeps I said hello and thank you for the support!:)

what a magnificent chapter.  justice manifests itself as it doesn't normally happen especially in our environment.  woohoo!!  so wonderful.  mckenzie, you rock.  down with homophobic assholes.  yea for justin.  he will do a really good job.  wish we had a similar dept. here.  it would help immensely as we have a large pediatric unit.  good chapter.  you go girl!!.  i will read this to the peeps later.  i know how BB will react to this.  he will probably review as he is very outspoken when it comes to discrimination of any kind.  lol

Author's Response:

Aww..you're a balm to the soul, my friend.:)  It's been kind of quiet over here in 'review world' for me lately, so it makes the ones I do get very special.:) Thanks so much for the kind words.:)  Not sure how realistic the scenario was since I've never worked in a hospital environment before, but hopefully it wasn't too far off the mark.  I see probably one more chapter to this as an epilogue before I wrap it up.  I am now going over to take another 'shower' with the boys (if only - LOL!).  Thanks again, my dear.:)  I am very grateful.

Good ridance for this Swanson character, hopefully though he is gonna cause some trouble for our boys - just thinking out loud here.

I really like this AU Brian though, I hope he continues to grow up and admit his feelings both to himself and to Justin.

As for Justin, I hope he grows up too, and built his self-esteem a little.

Cant wait for the update sweetie. Hugs

Marla

Author's Response:

Hi, Dear - thanks so much for the comments - I was feeling a little lonely over here with this last update.:(  I will probably have one more chapter of this one - an epilogue - before I end it.  Not sure if I will create any more angst for the boys in regards to Swanson - I may put him in there somewhere.  But I think this story has pretty much run its course as much as I hate to say it.  BUT....that means I will have more time to update the other ones...!  Thanks so much for the feedback and for reading, Marla, I am very appreciative.:)  A big *hug* back to you, too.:)

Brian makes a fun assistant in the kitchen.  I'm sure Justin appreciated his help!  That whole first section was very hot.  Too bad Dr. McKenzie felt that he had to leave the meeting to talk to the arrogant and small-minded surgeon.  I have a feeling, though, that he might stand up to Swanson.  Great chapter.  Enjoyed it. BTW, those are great pics of Randy.  Thank you so much for reporting on your trip.

Author's Response:

Hi, Kacey!  So great as always to hear from you.:)  I'm glad, too, that you liked the pics.  I had a great time meeting Randy (not sure if 'meeting' is the right word - I think all the females ogling him at the after-party just sort of all blended in - LOL!)  At least I got my photo taken with him and 3 other women....Would love to go see him again if I get the chance.

I appreciate your feedback on this story - I think it's up next for update after the present project of updating "Paper Hearts Killer," which I'm working on now.  I think I'm up to 7,000+ words on that one so I should hopefully be able to update that story tomorrow.:)  I should be updating TLC soon, though - it should be close to a conclusion - maybe in the next chapter; I'll have to see where my plot bunny goes.  You're right, BTW - something tells me that Swanson is about to get his comeuppance in the next chapter.:)  Thanks again, my friend!:)

I hope that Gus is gonna get better soon and that our boys meet outside the hospital for a change, but do not make it very ease on them, they cannot function without some angst in their lives LOL

Author's Response:

Hello, Marla - Yes, I agree; why can't that be a natural response for all of us? LOL!  It may take a chapter or two, but I am going to try and move the setting more away from the hospital and back into Brian's familiar arena of "expertise" where he is more in his element and can display his "talents" a little more - ha!  Thanks so much for reading and leaving me a review - I am so grateful for you taking the time to do that.:)

Thanks for the review, Chris!  Glad you liked the chapter - I think the boys can only stand so much tension before they explode, but what a way to go! PISSED OFF... at the "Moms"...for their low opinion of Brian..... after all this time and they  still don't know him at all....they really need to buy a vowel.... lol....  Thanks..

Author's Response:

I feel your pain when it comes to the moms - wish I really didn't have to include them, but I know the story wouldn't be very realistic without some mention of them (sigh...).  But don't worry, as Gus continues to improve their time in the spotlight will be diminished considerably.:)  Thanks for reading and for the review!:)

This was a beautiful update. Though I have to admit that having Justin so, I don't know, submissive, I suppose, is not a regular occurence though with the modicums of impertinence you have applied to his character, the exchange between Brian and Justin are exactly what the doctor ordered for my state of mind right now.

I love Daphne, and her plan to get the men together, well, considering her schedule... I give her my applause.

Ooooh, please gag Mel and Lindz!!!

I will keep an eye out for the next update.

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris!  Great analysis there - ha!  I so love the give and take between these two.  I often thought in the show that Justin should have been pursued more than he was, but of course Brian being Brian that just wasn't his way (sigh).....But I like to try and write Justin with at least a little backbone.  But of course we all know where this is heading just like all my other stories - I'm just toying with them for a little while.:)  Thanks as always for leaving me a review - I appreciate that so much.:)

Ahhhhh wonderful... first of all Gus being on the slow mend the greatest thing of all. How you are pacing his recovery is so realistic... although, I'm getting so very antsy for some alone time for the sparring adult boys! Haha. I mean a kiss even would be good. Poor Brian, I can sense the more Gus recovers, the more his daddy will be distracted with thoughts of a certain blond. Or should I say poor Justin... when Brian finally gets his hands on him - alone? Who am I kidding? We all know being in Justin's position is anything but pitiful - it is to be envied!!

Great update, my friend. Eagerly awaiting more of this one. Oh, and I got your 'hint, hint'. I'm working on skater boy as we speak. I just posted the final chapter of my BBM story - War & Peace style! Now, maybe I can get back on track! =)

Author's Response:

Hello, dear!  Always so great to hear your thoughts.:)  Yes, I had a feeling you were warming up to this story because of the direction it's taking.:)  And I definitely see Brian being able to come out more in his typical predator mode the more his son heals, so look out, Justin!  But Gus is going to also have a hand in playing matchmaker, too, unknowingly, which certainly can't hurt.  Right now I have to go work on the boys' honeymoon in "Hearts Desire."  So delighted you're working on "Skater Boy" - love the nickname - LOL!  Take care and keep those stories coming yourself, my friend.:)

Hello, Kate! Thank you so much for the welcome - I've only been on the site since December and I feel like a story hog at times - hope the readers don't mind.:)  I only came across these two fascinating characters after the show ended so I have a lot of lost time (and vivid ideas!) to make up for - LOL!  Sorry to hear you've been ill - hope you're on the mend now.  Thanks for reading so many of my stories in the meantime.  I appreciate you leaving me a review on so many of them - the only reason I have to keep going is that others are enjoying what I am writing (so if any of them want me to stop they know how to get me to now! LOL!  Thanks again.:)

so cute and funny. we al loved it. guess what? we now have a temp to join our happy group.  don't know if he someone who will enjoy our reading sessions or not. we'll see. if not he can take his breaks elsewhere.  i wore dave down.  i now know when i'm going to see randy--july 9.  yea!!!.  are you flying or driving to see him?  lol

Author's Response:

Congratulations on finally finding out the date!  I'm actually flying in - I live in Ohio and I'm meeting someone I've never met before who lives in Germany that I beta for - I am so looking forward to it!  I envy you, though - you will be there for opening night!!  How wonderful!  I will be staying at a B & B in the Pittsfield MA area from 7/7 until 7/14.  I so hope he comes out after the show for a meet and greet - I would die!  I plan on taking my laptop on the trip so I can continue writing - you will have to tell me how the play goes.  Glad, too, that you've found a new recuit for your reading group - LOL!  Thanks as always for the review.:)

This is my new favorite wip.  Keep it up, I can't wait for more.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Kate!  I'm so glad you're enjoying it.:)  I'm writing the next chapter as I type this - I may have it up later tonight if I can manage it.  If not, it should definitely be up no later than tomorrow.  I really appreciate you taking the time to review and let me know you like it - thanks again for reading!:)

This is a great story. It has taken me a while to get into it because i usually steer away from medical stories.  I read to escape from work in the medical field.

I love the shy Justin and slow getting to know each other phase.  The priorty was on Gus as where it should have been.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review!  I can certainly see your point about not reading medical stories, so I'm glad you gave this one a shot.:)  It should be concentrating more on the two "big boys" now - LOL!  Thanks for reading this one.:)

Oops forgot to review * blushes * ... uhmmm I've no words for this story, only that's so sweet.

* hugs *

Author's Response:

You're so faithful about reviewing my stories - I really appreciate that, Marny....not quite feeling "the love" at the moment over here.....(sigh).:)  I go through these periods of looking at other writers' works and thinking they can express themselves better than I.....at any rate, thank you so much for reading all my stories and being so good about leaving me your thoughts - I appreciate that more than you know.  *Double hugs* to you this time!:)

Another great chapter. This is a cute story, I love Leroy I hope he and Flo have a nice long life together ;)

Author's Response:

Thanks, Deb!  Well, at least they'll never have to worry about being sick or having a leaky faucet - LOL!  Thanks for taking the time to review - stay tuned - things are about to heat up now that Gus is on the mend.:)

Reviewer: galenut (Anonymous) · Date: March 23, 2011 12:59 AM · On: Florence - Meet Leroy

leroy and florence, how cute is that. love this story.

Author's Response:

I think it was a match made in heaven, don't you?  LOL!  I couldn't resist the Leroy especially, because Brian is definitely NOT a Leroy (no offense, BTW, if there ARE any Leroys out there - he just doesn't look the part, though...).  I should have followed another reader's advice and had an employee ask him to fix something - that would have been so funny!  I wish I had thought of that!  Thanks for reading and especially taking the time to review - I truly appreciate that.:)

Reviewer: BluvsJ (Anonymous) · Date: March 22, 2011 11:34 PM · On: Florence - Meet Leroy

I am thrilled that Gus is finally awake..... and now that Daphne is going to play matchmaker.... I don't think "Florence" and "Leroy"  stand a chance.... lol.... I have to ask ...how do you juggle 3 or 4 WIP'S....at the same time... and do you ever sleep??? lol..... Thanks....

Author's Response:

Hello, my friend!  Thank you for following along with my rather vivid imagination - ha!  To answer your question, I work full time as an adult-ed teacher and then spend my free time writing these manic meanderings of my brain in between lesson plan preparation.  I guess you could say I owe being able to juggle stories based on two things - I'm a speedy little typist (about 95 wpm on a good day) and I have no kids, husband or dogs that would impede my writing time - ha!  I literally spend hours writing these because I enjoy doing it so much - it's a nice diversion from real life to delve into these two characters that I dearly love.:)  As for sleep - what's that?  (I actually try to get to bed by 10:30 or so but I'm not the greatest sleeper....maybe because my head is constantly thinking up new ways to get these boys in trouble!).

But THANK YOU for taking the time to read and especially leave a review - I so enjoy writing these but if I thought others weren't enjoying reading them (or thought I was being a story hog, which I DO feel like sometimes), I would not publish them, so the encouragement I receive is the only reason why I keep doing this.  I hope others will continue to enjoy these for some time to come because I still have a lot of ideas floating around in my head.  I have one right now I can't wait to start but I have to finish at least one of these others first to avoid going crazy!  Thanks again to you and all the other reviewers/readers.:)

Yay Gus is awake thank goodness Brian and the munchers would not have coped if he had got worse............ Leroy lol good name so NOT Brian. Poor Justin so embarrassed when he is around Brian and of course we know Brian will now follow up on the helpful Florence lol.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review, Chris!  Yeah, now we can all look forward to Brian doing what he does best now that he doesn't have to worry so much about Gus....stay tuned - the fun's just getting started for Leroy and Florence - ha!

Reviewer: Megan Rose (Signed) · Date: March 22, 2011 10:42 AM · On: Florence - Meet Leroy

Glad Gus is on the mend! Poor little guy. Brian and Justin are so sweet in this chapter. Leroy made me laugh! I just wanted to let you know I'm devouring your stories, so you'll probably see lots of (pointless) reviews from me!

Author's Response:

Hi, Megan Rose!  Thanks for much for the review!  Now that Gus is on the mend, I can concentrate on the father getting some TLC, too!  And don't worry about the "pointless" reviews - NONE are pointless.  I LOVE reviews so bring them on!  Thanks again for reading - I greatly appreciate that.:)

bb is quite taken with your dedication to his crazy little group, as are the rest of us.  this was a really nice uplifting chapter.  we knew gus would be ok eventually.  i really like the interaction between our boys--shy and cute, rather different.  bb's b-day is tomorrow.  we are having a shindig for him. he says he's old.  he's 31--that's not old.  i told him he's just getting started.  still don't know where my seats are and what day i'm going to see randy.  he's going to give me a hint april 1st.  isn't that a hoot.  don't think i'll take it seriously.  whoops breaks over. back to the grind. lol

Author's Response:

Hello, my friends!  Say Happy Birthday to the "old man" for me - LOL!  We should ALL be that "old" (I won't even discuss my age, sorry - ha!).  Yes, I see Justin continuing to find "excuses" for visiting Gus' room (we all know it's just for the little boy's sake, right?  Right?  Yeah.....right......ha!  Thanks as always for the review.:)

When the spider known as Brian turns his eyes on the little fly Justin I think he will be spun in a web so tight he will not even know how he got there lol. Gus opening his eyes to the world the same as his father! xo Chris

if you are wondering about your tickets call the theater and ask them.  they open at 10:00 a.m. you can pick them up any time during the day.  i wouldn't worry too much.  for your own satisfaction call them their number is online.  they would be in a ton of trouble if they would do fraudelent things.  give them a call and double check for your piece of mind. lol

Author's Response:

Thank you for the suggestion, lindc.  I actually obtained the tickets by calling them initially - I could never get them online - they never showed up there!  I'll wait until tomorrow and hope the confirmation comes through then.  Thanks for looking out after me!:)

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: March 15, 2011 06:04 AM · On: Can't Get Him Out of My Mind

dave got tickets won't tell me when but got really good seats. i told him he has to tell me so i can get a couple days off.  he's a brat.  randy's aunt lives there somewhere in the area,  so he might be staying with her.  don't know.  you will have a blast if you haven't seen him on stage.  just try to remember he's not justin any more even if we would like him to be.  old memories die hard.  we'll have to trade stories after.  the who did a really good job, i am told, years ago with tommy the rock opera.  get ready for some fun. i saw gale in orpheus decending.  he was to die for.  so handsome.  he sang and played the guitar like he did on one episode of hellcats.  lol

Author's Response:

I am so looking forward to it!  Congrats on having an inside contact for the tickets - lucky girl!  I'll feel a lot better when I get the confirmation e-mail back verifying we have the seats they promised me.  It makes me nervous that they take the credit card info and just hold the tickets at "will call."  So far they haven't sent me anything, and one of the ladies going is flying in from GERMANY and needs to know for sure before she books her flight!  Keep your fingers crossed that they get back to me soon - the person taking my order was new and didn't sound real sure of what she was doing! Ack!  Let me know what day you're going - would love to meet another obsessed fan - LOL!

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: March 15, 2011 02:30 AM · On: Can't Get Him Out of My Mind

update on tickets.  don't know about the 7-8-9 but they have tickets during the week.  my friend dave is getting them.  only $49 in the orchestra.  beautiful theater--been there several summers to see randy.  it's been restored sooo it's really beautiful.  everyone has played there.  rufus wainwright's dad louden is there soon i believe.  i love rufus been to see him several times.  lol

Author's Response:

Hey, lindc!  I was able to get tickets for Monday, July 11 for the night show - I had to call because I couldn't even see them online to purchase them - still don't see them online yet!  I hope I understand this new employee I had correctly and she filled out the order right because I think I wound up with THIRD ROW SEATS! I'm so excited!  I've seen interior shots of the theater - looks gorgeous.  Can't wait!!:)  I wish I knew how to meet Randy in person.....I'd die if he came out after the show to mingle!  Wish I could take photos inside, too, but I see that's a no-no (sigh).  Wish I knew where the man stayed (not that I'm a stalker, might you, but a girl can dream, can't she?  Ha!)

Author's Response:

Ha - I liked that line, too - LOL!  Thanks for letting me know you're reading this and for leaving your thoughts.  I see Justin helping out with Gus' morale while he's in the hospital.  Of course, he may just run into the father, too.......(wink, wink...!).:)

Author's Response:

That is so exciting, lindc!  You'll have to let me know if you're successful and what day you go...I would love to go for the opening but I'm sure the tickets would be really hard to get (at least good seats).  I've never seen him in person so I would love to see him in Tommy!  Let me know what happens!:)

Author's Response:

Thank you, my friend!  I timed that just right, didn't I? Ha!  I'm actually going to miss Brooding Brian while he's away (but don't tell him that - LOL!).  Hope you had a great vacation.  I am going to meet a lady I beta for in July up in Masachusetts and go see Randy in "Tommy" at the Colonial Theater (that's assuming I can get tickets tomorrow).  We are so excited!  I'll let you know how it goes....Thanks as always for the review.  Are the other (non-members) jealous? Ha!  Welcome back to the craziness!:)

Not sure how I initially missed this... but YAY!! So excited to see the update... and Gus slowly beginning to turn the corner. I hate any little one being ill, and this adorable guy it's just all the more heartbreaking. Wonderful chapter, my friend. One wouldn't know that you wasn't a medical expert in the field. Very well written and plotted out - as always! Of course, looking forward to Brian being... well Brian with his attentive orderly... but I have no doubt you will get us there. This could very well be on it's way to becoming my next 'favorite'. As you know I am a sucker for not only AU but stories that begin with them first meeting & getting to know each other, as opposed to the 5.13 timeline.

Looking forward to much more of this delightful story!! Ohhhh, and no scolding - I am working on the next chapter of my naughty vampire, just taking a little break! =)

Author's Response:

Hello, dear friend -   So wonderful as always to hear your thoughts.:)  I'm glad you're liking this story - yeah, I think it's time the girls take over so Brian can get some TLC that he so deserves, don't you? ha!  And I'm glad to hear you're hard at work on the sexy vampire - yay!  Take care.:)

we love all your stories--we took a vote this is the favorite i'm sure you understand why.  we are so waiting for the getting to know you stage with our boys.  lee wants to change his nickname to lovable lee.  waiting for more of your stories.  going on vacation.  i'll be reading elsewhere--so brooding will be reading to the threesome while i'm away. lol

Author's Response:

So great to hear from the hospital fan club.:)  Hope you have a great vacation!  I'll try to make it entertaining for both you and the remaining three members of the club while you're away. Tell Brooding Brian he's got big shoes to fill while you're gone - LOL!  I'm hurrying Gus' recuperation along as fast as I can but I need to set the boys up just a bit more before the real fun begins - stay tuned and have a safe trip.:)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for the review - I so appreciate you taking the time to do that!:)  I'm glad you're enjoying the story.  I should be updating this very soon - I am in the process of writing the next chapter of "She's Your Daughter," and this story is next to update.  I probably shouldn't have tackled a medical story - there's so much pressure to get the medical details right - ha! You may be right about it being more contagious than I'm portraying it - I hope you will overlook my faux pas if that is the case.:)  Thanks again for leaving your thoughts - I'm very thankful.:)

Thank you for the kind words.:)  This one will be a little different - Brian's main focus will actually  be on his son until he is recuperating - then I plan on getting Justin involved in providing a little TLC to both son and father - LOL!  Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, my friend - I greatly appeciate it.:)

Hey Sweetheart! I've finally gotten a chance to read this and I'm so happy I did. It's already drawn me in, and has left me anxious for the emotional journey to come. I find it refreshing to read a story where sexual attraction is not first on the list of what's drawing our boys together. Unfortunatley, it's not a happy incident, but that makes it an even better read. They're starting deeper, Justin is going to see Brian's vulnerabilities first. This is a very interesting dynamic. Beautifully written as always. *hugs*

Author's Response:

Hello, Mandi, my talented friend!:)  Thanks for the review.  So glad you had a chance to check it out.  Yeah, I guess this is a departure for Brian - thinking with his heart about his son first.  But I have to get that little guy all better soon so Brian can get some TLC of his own - LOL!  Always a delight to hear from you - BTW - like the banner/photo you have on your profile page - you're so creative, my friend.:)  Thanks again.

Hello my friend,

I was so happy to see this update. Such a delightful story this is... and I think the pace you are moving at regarding the boy's interaction is perfect... even if it just makes me anxious for more! LOL. It's quite obvious Brian is very attracted to our helpful blond... and I can only imagine the type of TLC he will be looking to achieve once little Gus is recovering. Haha. I was so happy Melanie appreciated Brian, for once. Her snipping at him is the last thing he needs right now. Wonderful update, as always. Looking forward to more!! =)

Author's Response:

Thank you, dear - so grateful for your support and encouraging words and so glad you're liking this one.  It's definitely a new direction for Brian's normal sexy beast character - ha!  Not to fear - he and the little orderly will be getting to know each other better as the recuperation goes on - thanks as always for the review and reading.:)

sorry. i forgot lee.  shame on me.  i asked what would be a good nickname for him as he's just been lee to us.  he thought sexy lee would be good.  haha!! you don't know what i have to put up with dealing with all these guys. lol  but it's fun!!!

Author's Response:

Well, at least I know now.  It's funny his name would be Lee (along with the "sexy" part), because I used to have the biggest crush on Bruce Boxleitner who played Lee Stetson on "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" with Kate Jackson (I know - I'm aging myself, aren't I? LOL!).  But I thought he was one sexy-looking fella and he's actually aged pretty well.  Tell Lee we'll have to come up with a catchy little name for him.  I guess "Loco Lee" wouldn't work, would it? - ha!).  Stay tuned for more drama - I think I see a chapter of "I Don't" coming up shortly.....!  I've got to get that darn story done so I can move onto the "Wedding Present" sequel - I have a honeymoon and gubernatorial campaign to plan - ha!  Thanks again for all the support.....:)

Justin is right...Gus is a "fighter".... and will pull through this.... I am sooo glad that Psycho Melanie actually thanked Brian for helping Gus...instead of finding a way to blame him for what happened....

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review, my friend!  Yeah, I thought Brian was going through enough without siccing Melanie on him - ha!  I will be slowly building up the boys' relationship so stay tuned - Gus will need some TLC to recover and so will his dad!  Thanks for reading this.:)

Nice to see that Mel had the grace to realise Brian's intentions and reactions were correct I liked that she acknowledged it. I hope Brian and Justin interact more soon and of course Gus needs to get well.

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris - (sigh)....yes, I know - I'm eager to move onto that part, too.  But I have to set the story up first and build upon it.  There were will be some more interaction in the next chapter and a lot more to come once our little patient begins to recover so stay tuned!  Thanks as always for the review, my friend - I really appreciate that.:)

Thank you so much, my friend - so glad you're enjoying it!  I have to set up the boys' relationship for a while but not to fear - Gus will recover; otherwise, Brian wouldn't be receptive to a little TLC of his own, would he?  LOL!  Thanks for taking the time to review - I really appreciate that.:)
