Midnight Whispers
QAF Brian and Justin Fanfiction

This was a great story!!   I'm glad that Gus kept on with Brian and Justin about talking with each other about Justin coming back to Brian.    For a little boy, he is very observant.   In addition to Gus, everybody else noticed how Brian and Justin felt as well, but knew they just needed to talk it out!!

Well, that was settled very nicely.  I like how Gus made sure that things worked out.  He is indeed the doctor of love.  Speaking of shipping stuff home, how did the girls manage to get all the toys on the plane?  Another blue ribbon tale!

Author's Response:

Hi, dear friend! Thank you for reading this story, and for all the comments!  So happy that you liked it.  I do love the idea of Justin being Gus's 'second' daddy.'  I think Justin would have been such a wonderful father.  Thank you again for all your support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Finally after all those piddling requests, Justin gets to the good stuff.  Maybe later he can help Brian with his other problem.  The ad campaign.

Oh no!  A broken leg?  Gus was very brave, hurrying to get his dad to help Justin.  The ride to the house in the sleigh was fantastic and I'm surprised that Justin didn't pass out while Brian took off his clothing.  A visit to the hospital, not good.  But makes for an exciting tale.

What a wonderful idea, a snowball fight inside!  How perceptive of Gus to see that Justin is not happy in New York.  Surely the truth will out?

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: November 08, 2013 11:53 PM · On: Jingling Bells and Cold Balls

What a lovely surprise and Brian didn't even know that Justin would be able to come for Christmas!  He must have spent a lot of time learning how to harness those large horses.  I imagine that tomorrow everyone will want to take a ride on the sleigh.  Love how you snuck Jennifer in there.

When Brian decides to celebrate Christmas he really goes all out.  It was nice to see that Emmett and Drew showed up on this special day.  There was even a chance to build snowmen. Now I wonder what Brian has hidden away for his Sunshine?

I first read this story in 2010.  The beautiful banner draws you into a story made perfect for the holidays.  Any story with Gus is wonderful and I love that Justin was able to show up and that even Mikey was able to keep it a secret.  The ornaments on the tree are really special and amazing.  Now I'm off to read more.

HELLO AGAIN-NOAH HERE.  JUST WANTED TO SAY I REALLY ENJOYED THIS STORY, EVEN IF I READ IT AFTER CHRISTMAS.  I GUESS CHRISTMAS STORIES ARE GOOD ANY OLE TIME OF THE YEAR. I LIKE THE STORIES WITH GUS IN THEM.  MY FRIEND LINDC GAVE ME A LIST OF YOUR STORIES AND WHICH ONES SHE THOUGHT I WOULD LIKE THE MOST.  SHE PUT ONE STAR FOR HER FAVORITES, TWO STARS FOR THE PEEPS FAVORITES, AND THREE STARS FOR THE ONES SHE THOUGHT I MIGHT LIKE. SHE IS SOMETHING HUH?  SO LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE READING IN MY SPARE TIME FOR QUITE A WHILE.  I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW MANY YOU HAVE.  YOU CERTAINLY HAVE BEEN BUSY.  YOU HAVE A VERY LARGE CATALOG HERE.  HOPE YOU HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR. NOAH

Author's Response:

Hi, Noah!  I'm so delighted to hear from you again, and to read that you enjoyed this story.  Thank you for letting me know!  Lindc's probably told you I have a lot of stories that feature Gus.  Just in case, I can give you some suggestions where he is featured prominently.  Probably the two biggest ones with him in the story are "Stirring Up Trouble" and "Tender Loving Care."  I think "TLC" is probably one of lindc's favorites since it's mainly set inside a hospital.  There's also all the "Tricky the Dog" stories:  "Bless the Beasts and the Children," "Framed for Christmas," "Fit to be Dyed," and "Dog Days of Summer," as well as "Featured Attraction."  And then there's "Paper Hearts Killer," which is probably one of Lee's favorites.

I do hope you continue to enjoy them, Noah!  Thank you so much for reading and for the feedback.  Happy New Year!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I wonder if you can consider horses as a medicinal need. Just think what would have happened to clutzy Justin if those horses hadn't been ready and waiting to save his life. I think every home should have rescue horses standing by.

I guess Justin must have really been only thinking of the hot sex with his marsh mellow or he would have realized that without chocolate and graham crackers it's really not even worth lighting a fire. Sounds like he didn't really need anything else! Now can we hope Brian will take the advice of his son and talk with Justin about what they both want.
Lori

I was checking here to see if Parent Trap was up yet and what to my wondering eyes did appear.  This story is just as good the second time around. Loved it once and now love it again.  I still think the banner is amazing-what a place Britin is.  Off today and Monday.  Nice to have time to catch uup on things.  Every one here good.  We have all started our Christmas shopping, can you believe it's December already.  Don't know where the year has gone. So much has happened with and to all of us Peeps.  Nonie still recouping well-her year was up then down and now up again.  BB is doing well.  He will be leaving again for some seminars  in Phoenix.  I guess it will be a sort of vacation for him.  he works too hard I think.  He just pooh poohs me.  I am a worry wart-(HIS WORDS).  He knows I'm right though.  Lee is a happy man now.  It has taken a while.  Moving here has done him a world of good.  Four people want to buy V.  He thinks that is funny.  This car is a boon to him, pulls in a lot of dates.  Ha!  lol

Author's Response:

Aww..so good to hear from you, dear friend!  Just the fact that you left such kind words on a story that you've already read before is testament to your kindness.  I'm so happy to hear that everyone is doing so well!  That's great news that Nonie is continuing to get stronger; only Brian would probably consider it a vacation to go somewhere for seminars - ha!  But I've heard that Pheonix is a great place.  And Lee sounds like quite the Cassanova (maybe he should have bought a classic Nova rather than a 'Vette - ha!).  I'm so glad to hear how well he's doing now; I'm sure you, Brian, and Nonie have had a lot to do with that.  He has been through so much; he certainly deserves some happiness now.:)

As for "Parent Trap," it's coming - I'm up to 9,400 words for the next chapter, but you know me; I'm not quite done with it yet.  The boys are right in the middle of, shall we say, getting reacquainted a little more (wink, wink).  But it may not go exactly the way they think.  I HAVE to keep a LITTLE angst in there.:)  I'm hoping to have it up in a couple of days - I'm *so* close.

I do hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!  I feel so blessed to have such caring readers - and friends- as you.  Thank you for all the support you've given me - feedback is so important to me and encourages me like nothing else.  Tell everyone I said hello and that I hope you all have a wonderful week.  *hugs*  ~Kim

I would be happy with just a small pony for Christmas. A huge pair of horses would be enough to make up for the Birthday when all I got was pair of mittens. I would like a pinto pony this year!
Lori

Author's Response:

Well, my dear, if I could send one your way, I definitely would.:)  Can't you just put a saddle on Tadhg?  (Just kidding...I think).:)  We always have Clydesdales at one of the local Christmas parades here; they really are majestic-looking animals.  I'll tell Santa that you've been a good girl this year if that will help - I can always lie - ha!:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

This was such a great little story, perfect for the season. I thought the tree decorations were a hoot. ;-) I also think its fun I read this on Dec. 2 and your penname is predec2. lol I am easily amused. Can I ask what your sn actually stands for, just out of curiosity? ;-) Have a blessed holiday season.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sara! Thanks for reading and for the comments, my friend.  That's funny - I didn't even notice that about my pen name and the date.:)  I'm glad you asked; no one's really ever asked me that question.  It's nothing very mysterious, actually, as far as where the name came from.  I used to be a big fan of reruns of a show from the 80's with Bruce Boxleitner and Kate Jackson called "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" (still watch it on DVDs, in fact), and in one episode they had some sort of a missile crisis and the name of the security level was Predec2.  (Not sure if that's how they spelled it, though).  Somehow the name caught my eye and it was easy to remember, and that's how my pen name was born.:)  Had it now for about three years as a writer, starting out on ff.net and then over here.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave a comment, Sara; that means a lot to me.  I'm glad that you enjoyed Brian's unique ornaments.:)  You have a blessed season, too. :)*Hugs*  ~Kim

Congratulations Kim, this is a perfect choice for the story of the month. I am thrilled to be reminded to read it again. I don't think you could get a more romantic declaration than the Justin Themed Tree. I sure hope there are no mushroom on the menu, I am going to have to pay close attention to what delicious delights appear on the Holiday Table, I'm in planning mode for my own Christmas dinner right now. I hope this years season of joy finds you Happy and Healthy.
Lori

Author's Response:

Hi, Lori, my friend.  You're very kind to leave me a comment, especially after you have read this before.  Thank you for your constant support of my stories and for the encouraging words.  I suppose Brian's probably experimented with mushrooms of his own before, at least the smoked kind - ha!  But unless you can find some morels about six months out of season growing wild, I think I'd stay away from picking wild ones.:)  I think Brian's way of expressing romance with the tree is about as sappy as he gets, although the sleigh ride might be a close second (naturally, though, he found a way to enjoy it as well - wink, wink).

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, too; can't believe it's only about 3 weeks away!  Give your furry baby a kiss for me.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

This is my third or fourth time reading this story.  Just as good now as it was the first time around.  Love the Kinneyesque decorations. All in all a good story with plenty of warm fuzzies and imagination.  It would be cool if there was a sequel on how the boys and the Clydesdales are doing with Justin being home to stay.

Author's Response:

Aww...thank you, Shari, for liking this story enough to read it over more than once!  And thank you most of all for your lovely comments; I aprpeciate that a lot!:)  I enjoyed coming up with the different decorations; I thought as the ultimate ad man that Brian would do something like that for his love.:)

I'll certainly give some thought to a sequel - maybe for next Christmas?  It's hard sometimes, though, to top the original, so I'd have to have a good plot for it.:)  Thank you again for reading and for all your support, Shari; that is very motivating to me!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I just had to give this another read. What a great story. I loved the ornaments on the tree that Brian had made to highlight Justin, what a totally romantic idea. I guess it goes without say that the Horses were the best Christmas gift ever, even if Brian was keeping one for himself.

You were totally correct.  This story is so good.  I had to read a couple chapters twice.  Your writing takes my breath away.  I am a sucker for Christmas stories.  Just a hopless romantic my friends say.  Now off to work, will read more when i get home. What do I do when I've read all of your wonderful works???

Author's Response:

Aww...thanks, Kym!  I'm glad you liked it so much!  What a kind thing to say about my writing - I'm very honored.  I guess I'll just have to keep writing these romantic types of stories, then.:)  I do have a couple more stories that I haven't posted over here yet - I wrote them a long time ago and they need some tweaking before I post them.  Both of them are Christmas stories, in fact, now that I think about them!  I will try to get at least one of them posted soon.  I hope you will continue to enjoy them.  May I make another suggestion if you haven't read it?  You might like "Arms Open Wide."  It takes a little while for the boys to get together, although they are in constant touch with each other.  It's sort of like a scavenger hunt, only by text.  If you haven't read that one, you might enjoy it as well as "Payback," the sequel.  I had a lot of fun writing those!  Thanks again for all your kind words - that means a lot to me.:)

Another very enjoyable story!  Your description of the horses was especially beautiful and, of course, I'm a sap for Gus.  Thanks for including him so often.  :-)

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and especially leaving a review - so glad you enjoyed it!  Yeah, got to love little Gus - ah, the honesty of a child - ha!  BTW - love the user name, too.:)

The "little doctor of love" did very well!  Thanks for a very sweet and enjoyable story.  I loved that they had a sleigh and Clydesdales!

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review - glad you enjoyed it.  I love Clydesdales - don't think I've ever seen them in person but they look like beautiful animals, and I can't imagine Brian doing anything halfway!  Thanks for reading.:)

thanks for writing another great story.i know it's been 10 years but i still love b/j

Author's Response:

Thank you!  So do I!  I only found these boys after the show was over on You Tube, so I hope there will be plenty of ideas in my head to keep readers coming back for more.  I'm about ready to post the latest chapter of "I Don't" - hope you'll join me there, too!:)  Thanks again for taking the time to review - as much as I appreciate every reader, it gets disheartening occasionally when you know a lot of people are reading it and at times you only get a little feedback.  A little love helps me to keep writing - I appreciate your kind words more than you know!:)

OMG I'm still laughing out loud - a marshmallow fight  * giggles * .
Great chapter.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Marny!  I can see "Brian's boys" engaging into a little marshmallow battle, can't you?  The poor man doesn't stand a chance against both Gus AND his man....!  Thanks for the review - *hugs* to you, too.:)

Wonderful chapter.  Gus really is coordinated and he was a big help in getting Justin rescued.  Now we have to wait to find out what happens at the hospital.

Author's Response:

Thanks!  Yeah, Gus is a handy little fellow in a lot of ways, isn't he?  LOL!  Ah, the lack of pretense and tact in a little boy - isn't it great??

What a super sappy Christmas story, I love it. Great writing, I'm excited for the continuation.

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and reviewing - I know, I'm a "sap" at heart - LOL!  I plan on updating soon - thanks again for taking the time to review it!:)

Okay, I think they've put off their long awaited talk long enough.  Though I have to admit the marshmellow fight and innuendo's were perfectly done.

Author's Response:

Not to fear - they will deinitely hash it out; just have to prolong the torture a little longer!  Thanks for reviewing!:)

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: December 26, 2010 08:48 AM · On: Jingling Bells and Cold Balls

Jingle around the clock.  That's the jingle bell rock.  They are playing this as I read.  How appropriate is that?  Clydesdales and electric blankets.  This is the best and most rediculously romantic Christmas.

Author's Response:

I know - kind of OOC for Brian at least.  But I'm a ridiculous romantic, too - I like to think he changed through the years the more he was exposed to his sentimental partner - ha!  Thanks for the review.:)

Brrrr.  The kids are having a GREAT Christmas, what with more presents then Santa could possible have in his sleigh and snowman making.  It's so good to see Brian and Justin, ah, enjoying the holiday.  Looking forward to their deep and soulful discussion.

Author's Response:

You know how bad these two boys are at communicating - LOL! Besides,  a good story always needs a little angst!  Thanks for the review.:)

What a wonderful Christmas story with promise of more in the future.  Glad to see that Deb and Michael can keep a secret.  Love the Justin tree.

Thank you very much for the review - glad you like it!  I thought of all people, Brian would have one heck of a creative tree, don't you think?  Especially with the inspiration he has!  Thanks again for reading and especially reviewing - I should have more up soon.:)
