I don't usually read death fics, but this was good and had a happy, alternate ending. I loved the appearances of Brian and Mike's late partners.

since you don't read death fics, it's a good thing you avoided "Brian's Good-Bye"--this is actually the sequel to that... :)

actually, this is the sequel... a fic called "Brian's Good-Bye" deals with the actual death... :)
