poor Chris, he would been better for him

I can't correct my grammar on the original review, but what I meant was "how far down the hole Ted has gone."

LOL! That is all.

Omg, only took 34 chapters to get to what I was waiting for! This story has been absolutely brilliant so far. Despite the times when I wanted to crawl out of my skin because I wanted to know what would happen with Brian or Justin, you have developed a beautiful world of multidimensional characters that make this story so much more exciting and so much harder to put down. I am so far in love with this story, and so excited to see what comes next! This has to be one of the best - if not THE best - fanfics I've read as of yet! (And QaF isn't my only fandom!)

My favorite part of this chapter was undoubtebly this one,  Brian pulled away then, and Justin almost gasped when he spotted the twinkle rising in eyes previously filled only with clouds of dread and doubt, and he was immediately glad that he was already on his knees as he was certain that his legs would not have supported him before the sheer power of the joy that tore through him. "You do realize that's the most ridiculously romantic thing that anybody has ever said," Brian observed with a patent-worthy Kinney smirk.

Justin smiled and collapsed into arms that were suddenly there to catch him. That would, he hoped, always be there to catch him.

That was definitely the moment that I had been waiting for. It made me swoon (and maybe do a happy dance!)

One more thing, I am so sad with the direction of Ted and Melanie in this story. I can see how those two characters could end up going that way though. I just ache for how far down the whole Ted is gone. And I was so sad when he relapsed by drinking alcohol. I just hope he can eventually see and somehow try to amend what he has done wrong.

Can't wait to see what comes next!

GREAT WORK.

Author's Response:

Never too late, Friend, and if I managed to make you feel as if you were there, beside them, that is the perfect definition of success for a writer, and I'm delighted that you felt it.  Thanks so much for speaking up.

HOLY FUCKING MOTHER OF GAWD. THIS CHAPTER WAS ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN' AMAZING. I can hardly even find the words for it... When they had that huge fight... gosh, I just cried. The build up of this story has been so intense and then finally to have them work it out and things go right for a chance... GYAH! You're amazing and I totally envy you. You're writing skills and deciphering of the storyline are incredible. Wow... just... wow.

Author's Response:

Hey therer.  And I just have to tell you that enthusiasm is a writer's very favorite thing.  Thanks so much for your comment and for caring so much about the story and the characters within it.  I will do my best to make sure that the roller coaster ride continues to please and inspire.

You. Are. Absolutely. Amazing.

Author's Response:

Thanks you so much, my friend.  You do something - namely pithy and succinct - much better than I do, and I love it.

That was simply a wonderful chapter.  Sure the roller coaster of emotions played strongly on my emotions.  But all I think of as I finished the chapter is “wow”.

That’s it.  No need to discuss the content but simply repeat – “wow”.

Thank you for the great story.

PS:  “wow”!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for speaking up, and I love your approach to commenting.  It's always especially good to hear from the un-distaff side of the fandom, so I'm ultra-pleased.  I hope it continues to bring you pleasure.

Wonderful chapter, again. Every reaction, every feeling (fear, laugh, despair, love, anger, yearning...) are perfectly written. And for a once, it's all about love. I like this part :

Justin pulled back slightly, just enough to speak. "Mine," he breathed, with absolute certainty. "Yes?"
The smile was breathtaking. "Yes."
And Justin felt the truth of it. It was not now and never would be about possession or endless fidelity or monogamy. It had always been about two hearts that could reach out and touch each other, against all odds. Not because of promises or pledges or commitments or intentions, but because of the purest, most elemental, most fundamental of reasons. Because of love without limits, without reservations, without boundaries. Without locks.
"You love me," whispered Justin.
"Yes."
"Enough to let me go."
"Yes."
"And enough to keep me close, if that's what it takes to make me happy."
"Yes."
"Brian?"
"Yes?"
"I want you inside me. I want to spend the rest of my life . . . feeling you inside me, even when I'm not with you. I always want to feel you inside me. Yes?""

That night on the beach is a miracle, and a promise and a commitment ... a time almost too good to be true. I dread the return to reality.

Author's Response:

I'm delighted that you're pleased, and that you found that night "miraculous".  I was aiming for "magical", so I hope I came close.  As for the return to reality, of course, it must come, but maybe they can carry a little piece of magic with them, to see them through the rough times.  That's what I'm hoping, anyway, and I depend on readers like you to let me know if I get it right.

I've read this four times now and must stop myself from a fifth or my husband really will divorce me. Too good!!! (I really hope you make a living from writing!?)

Author's Response:

Okay, I definitely do NOT want to be held accountable for that, so please go pay attention to your significant other - and just put Gale/Randy=Brian/Justin right out of your mind (and if you can really do that, you're a much better woman than I am).  Thanks so much for your interest and your comment, and I wish I COULD live off what I write.  Unfortunately, life is never that simple.  :)

Lovely chapter; great reunion. I hope Brian has the sense to keep him close now.

Author's Response:

Thanks for ALL your lovely, supportive comments, my friend, and I promise you that one day soon - when my own Muse decides to let me see the light of day again - I play to read every word of your lovely work - something to look forward to.  As for Brian and sense? We all know that Brian's attitude, at any given moment, depends on what lingers from his past - but I do believe him capable of learning what he needs to learn in order to build a sweet, wonderful life - just as Justin is.  I just have to figure out how to ties up all the loose ends - and get them there.

Guh!  I feel like this entire story has been foreplay for the reader to get us to this climax of Brian and Justin coming together again. I know there is more story to tell ... but this was fabulous!

Author's Response:

I think that attitude is a tribute to the strength of these two incredible characters.  The world really does seem to revolve around them doesn't it.  Thanks for your c omment, and I hope you continue to enjoy.

You, my dear, are a master of saying so very much, with a minimum of actual words.  I can't thank you enough for this.

Don't get me wrong, you are a very talented writer and storyteller...but I've had a really difficult time reading this story because: A) Talk about an emotional rollercoaster! and B) I am one of those ninnies who can't stand the boys being apart, or Brian/Other. Still, I'm glad I kept reading anyway because this latest chapter was amazing. It has to be one of the most beautiful-yet-kind-of-heartbreaking reunions I have ever read.

Author's Response:

Thanks for your comment, and I'm delighted that you liked where we wound up, although there is still a long way to go before we get to the end of the story.  Still, although there will certainly be rough moments ahead, I hope that the connection between these two lovely individuals will be enough to comfort anyone of faint heart.
