Now I see you've been granted the "Blue Ribbon Award for Excellence" in writing. Time to celebrate and write more. Way to go!

Author's Response:

OK - now I'm truly speecheless - and so out of the mainstream that I don't even know who to thank, or even how the process works.  But I am deeply honored.  I don't know how it works for other authors, but, for me, writing is not just what I do, it's what I am.  I write, because I don't know how to NOT write.  It's as natural and as vital to me as breathing, so I'm always a little bit flummoxed when I get recognized for doing something that I couldn't stand NOT to do.  Am I making sense here?  At any rate, thanks so much to whoever is responsible for this.  I would continue to write, no matter what - but it always sweetens the pot to know that someone is enjoying it.

You guys are wonderful.

Welcome to "10 Most Reviewed Stories" List !!!!!

How well I know how reviews can motivate one to write. I'm very much looking forward to you future chapters and you can count on my chapter reviews too.

I just really hope you don't hurt Justin; I really love that boy!   :)

Author's Response:

Oh, my God.  I literally had no idea.  Being a relative novice here, I'm unfamiliar with most of the features of the site, and, being a total cyber-dweeb, I never much figure out how to join in and check on such things, so I am doubly grateful for both your lovely reviews and for clueing me in.  And know this:  I love Justin too.  No promises that he won't have some rough waters to navigate (Brian too) but they will both survive.  I do (I promise) believe that Brian/Justin are the One True Pairing that put every other pairing to shame.  I really hope you'll love it along the way, and I very much hope to have time and opportunity to read some of your work, about which I'm hearing such lovely things.

Sure hope you bring us another chapter soon.

Author's Response:

I was amazed to come home tonight - after a really rotten day - to find all your wonderful comments, and it really helped me to forget all the crappy things that have happened since this morning.  It's just lovely to realize that someone is really listening.  I am ashamed that I don't respond nearly as often as I should when readers are kind enough to speak up, but I couldn't just ignore someone who made a point of sharing thoughts all along the journey.  I am working on the next chapter, but Real Life is getting in the way somewhat.  Still, I hope to have something ready by the week-end and hope you will not be disappointed.  I can't say for sure if your guesses are on the mark - honest to God, although I generally know the final destination of the trip, it comes to me as I go along, so the details are still to be decided - but I do hope you will be content with it in the end.  But the end is still very, very far away, I'm afraid.  As I think I've mentioned before, I couldn't do pithy or concise - or short - if my life depended on it.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing and speaking up.  It really makes me want to write better and write faster.

hmmm . . . isn't it said somewhere that a Cynic is simply an Idealist (or a Romantic) with a Broken Heart?

This story is so wonderful!! I'm a little concerned that Brian seems a little OCC in his dealing with Justin. After knowing of a theat to his sunshine it seems to me that Brian wouldn't let him out of is sight. I do hope that Justin end up going with Brian as he recuperates. Another littlle peeve is that all the guys gay or straight seem to develop lusty feeling for our beloved stud. Not very realistic or even fun to read- getting a bit over done. Oh! after proof reading my comments they come off as a bit critical - please don't take offense!  YOU ARE A BRILLANT WRITER!! I'm following this story to the very end. It's so incredibly good!! BRAVO AND MORE SOON?

thanks for the new chapter, I was waiting for it anxiously!

I like Chris and his interaction with Brian more and more with each chapter. I love how stood behind Brian during the talk with Horvath. I hope Brian listens to him and lets someone (Justin) help him in recovering from what happened to him.

I liked Justin's interaction with Cedric and the quotes from poems you chose, especially the one he left Brian.

Loved of course the meeting between Brian and Justin and the way they can still banter, in spite of everything that is going on. Any chance Justin will go away with Brian in this recovery trip? I'm looking forward to find out.

It seems like there was some serious sparkle between Rick and Cynthia. And Mathis. I'm curious to see where that will take us.

I'm not sure about the meaning of what happened in the end of the chapter, with those two teens. I guess it isn't just a coincidence.

Keep up the great work, I like the story more and more.

Hmmmm... after Justin's interaction with Ethan, I am wondering if he is somehow involved in Brian's attack.  That would be an exciting twist.  It would be especially interesting to see if Ethan could bring himself to physically hurt Justin.  Great chapter as usual.  Looking forward to more!
