I wish a movie like this could be made!

Author's Response:

Sadly gay themed movies do poorly at the box office. Even Brokeback Mountain barely broke even to make a small profit.

This chapter was interesting and informative, good research.  It always felt the Bible could be like the old telephone game, given the number of translations and interpretations, who could say what was meant at the time it was written.

Jerry is right. Such a film would be needed just for the controversy... This important message will reach at least some minds .. If only some are beginning to ask questions, that would be great ... I have difficulty with this general blindness affecting Christians. Some have never even read their Bible. They just repeat what they have learned. If the clergy said God hates gays, then it's true ... If one day they announce that God loves gays, then this will be true ... No reflection !! It's like the so-called apocryphal texts. Why would they be less truthful than the canonical texts? ... Just because they don’t say what the Church wants us to hear

I repeat myself but this work you have provided is wonderful. I'm glad to hear all these informations.

Thank you very much, JT

Author's Response:

The church is evolving and will change ever so slowly. Not everyone is anti-gay.

Love you!

WOW!!! My head is spining with all the fact & research in this chapter. It's taken me quite long to finish reading coz I've to refer to the dictionary for me to understand better.

Bravo!! Superb job JT & Mr Hamster.

Author's Response:

Here is one more fact for you; all three of my stories now exceed the number of words in the King James Bible! Thank you for your Bravo!~ :)

It's not that the is not liked it's just that people have to think after reading the last couple of chapters. I know that I am.

Author's Response:

Thank you for telling me this. I messed up on one point; covenant is mentioned many times in the Bible; not just three times as previously said. So far that is the only mistake in my research facts. The story continues to address this issue and so ends.

To me, God's message is a message of unconditional love for all of us... The obscurantists, retrograde peoples and fundamentalists are the problem. Fortunately, some churches ministers have a more progressive opinion and sometimes it’s not the youngest. I’ve had for example the old priest here who often came to discuss with my father. He often said to us, young people, "know that God loves you as you are, the main thing is to believe in him... The Church and the rest is nothing."

Anyway, thank you for this wonderful work. I hope that readers of this story will perpetuate this knowledge. Tall oaks from little acorns grow...

Big kisses

Author's Response:

Thanks Ihintza; your words make the hard work worth it. Your priest is right. My last chapter(s?) of the story deals with the history of condemnation of homosexuality by the church started in 390 AD, and not before. It's part of a sequel to the first movie.

I believe it was Socrates who said:

Concubines are for sex, women are for childbearing, but men are for loving.

In addition, in high school Latin 1 we learned that servus was latin for slave, not pais.

Author's Response:

That sounds like something Socrates would say. Pais is an ancient Greek word; well it was a mixture of Greek and ancient Arabic spoken at the time of Jesus at those locations to my knowledge; mostly Greek. That was a long time before modern Latin was created and evolved. Thanks for the info and your comments Alec.

these last few chapters were really informative and learned a lot from it!!!!!!!!!!

and u did a very good job in researching these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks and more to come

Author's Response:

Thank you patheticgal; the research is online and in the reference materials I mention in the story. As a gay man raised Baptists this was very important news to me and I wish I knew it when I was much younger. It would have saved me a lot of grief.
