It was truly a good reading. I love the sequence of events. I'm hooked more and more. I really appreciate your work. Gehexan told me : A glance at this and you won't be able to stop. Oh how he was right ! In fact, we kindly laughed at him as soon as he grabbed his laptop to read an update. Ok, now, we are two in our house (+ those who read in secret as I suspect ‘cause some here are familiar with some plots I haven't yet read :) )
Well, this chapter 36. I read the story and then read the reviews... In particular, your comments ‘cause the most important is to know what the author wanted to express. And I found nothing very shocking in the text (maybe I've a higher threshold of tolerance due to my education and a very special family background where we always talked about sex without taboos). Anyway, let's not fool ourselves, parents may not want to hear it, but it's a fact : lots of teenagers have underage sex and sometimes with serious consequences. Here, Molly feels ready for a love story. She is mature. She has a good boy (Kelly feels nice) and their family are OK... And this is done in full knowledge of the facts....So, why not ?
And finaly, having hetero sex is great for me. I feel a little less out. Already, my hubby and me feel in a minority in our family. Well, I joke. One of my dads experimented girl aswell (and got 3 superb results in the process with one of my mums...Ah, my big, weird but happy family !!!)
This is a long comment but I wanted to give my point of view on this particular chapter. I hesitated yet and I don't know why (hormonal changes ?)

Author's Response: WOW! Thank you for the long detailed review. People here in the USA are far more hung up about sex and especially underage sex than they are in Europe. I had to explain the chapter to avoid readers in America getting the wrong idea for what the chapter was saying. I'm very happy the story entertains you. Thanks for your comments.

About the underground practice by young teenage gay boys; imagine growing up being told you're a sinner, you're going to hell, you're hated by society, you less than a citizen and can't have the same rights as a straight person. Think about hearing all that shit growing up and fearing being found out as you're coming out as a gay person. Your self esteem is very low in that emotional environment. Well, the money says I'm worth something; I'm valuable; add to that gay boys love sex and money and they really love it when they can get both at the same time. It happens; not a lot but it happens in the real gay world mainly with only males to my knowledge. It makes coming out both fun and profitable.That's why it happens.

I just start reading this long history (I look a little silly there with my chapter 16 but I have actually a lot of time to spare ‘cause I’m pregnant with some complications and I must be on bed rest (which isn’t as much fun as it sounds) if I want to reach the full term). My little bro (my hazel eyes) said to me ‘"Read ‘Embraced’, you won’t be disappointed". He’s right. I must say I'm blown. You're really a great storyteller. Superb, well written, it's great ... Well, I have a little mental block on this chapter, very ‘graphic’ but I’m going on... I had already a little trouble with the end in chapter 5. (well, I am a girl, a bit too sentimental and emotionnal, maybe). And I had a brief summary of all the future adventures that I ‘m going to find ... And I also promised to comment on (perhaps less often than Gexan who is here very verbose and I can say it surprises me)

Author's Response: I try not to leave a cliffie up very long; I do respect my readers very much. A little suspense adds to the story's enjoyment. Immortality has its drawbacks as Brian so well knows. But of course he didn't have a choice in his turning so he views it differently than someone who does.

It's a pleasant chapter. I have a soft spot for this kid. Not always easy to be a precocious child or even to have a precocious child. There is this constant gap which can become catastrophic if the child's environment doesn't provide the appropriate answers. Daniel seems ok. And studying medicine is difficult (I know, I dropped it). It's very theoretical in the early years. Once made the pace, he'll think to expand his knowledge ... in other areas.

Author's Response: Thank you alys for your review. Boys come out (or not) when then want to. It doesn't matter if their parents are gay. Some guys are in their 20s or 30s before they admit it to themselves. Daniel is a big question mark and the first of Justin's kids to be like that. Right now all he's thinking about is his career and education. Justin worries about him being nonsexual and if it's healthy for him. It did make it easier to let him live alone in Atlanta however.

Author's Response: Hehehehe! I enjoyed this chapter too. A glimpse of mental illness mixed with being too clingy without the big words. The first time I heard the diaper theory I was on the floor laughing. It was new when I was a teenager decades ago and parents use to believe that crap. It was their fault, etc. If you think these times take the cake and are strange, the 60s took the bakery!

This chapter is a nice glimpse of small town politics..of course only Justin would think of using the TV Guide.. to be sworn in as Mayor .. Just a thought.. since time is passing so quickly what will happen to Lindsay and all the other humans who should be close to 80 by now ???
Author's Response: We really haven't progressed that far. Gus and Lee or about 26 and 27 now. Lindsay was embraced which still slows down her aging process. Most of the humans or embraced so they have little to no aging. The kids are growing up and in grade school. This chapter jumped about 7 years forward. A special new vampire power for Brian and Justin is discovered, well two powers. I'm working on it now but I haven't slept in a while so it might be tomorrow before I finish it. Author's Response: Thank you myhazel_eyes. That's how Justins approached the problem; how do I get them to stop? He knew he couldn't B.S. them or rake them over the coals without forcing them to deny it. He just thought if I was them what would impress me to change? Justin is starting to see that no good deed goes unpunished. Trouble with the city, trouble with the boys school. He gives these boys a 'safe' place and opportunities and they take adavantage. I agree with Brian, those boys need the paddle! But Justin handled it beautifully, as usual. Justin is very smart when it comes to finances. Great update.

excellant, Wallys World doesn't ultimatley help a community IME. love how their community looks to the long term instead of the petty stuff that helps only a few. that is quite a issue with the ADA.
Author's Response: Thank you for your comments alys. I felt real life issues adds to a story's depth and reality visuals. There is still adventure in the future but this chapter served several purposes of timeline, reality, and transistions.

Interesting chapter to consider the workings of running a city. I can see the plot development in an otherwise routine lack of excitement chapter. Isn't there some bad guys in the world the boys can go and whoop ass on?
Author's Response: Thanks George. Outside of this chapter very little has been said about running the new city which has dominated much of Brian and Justin's time. This chapter advances the story a few years, and ends their political involvement. You might see this chapter as the calm before the storm too.

Great chapter. I thought Justin handled it just right without being too stern but convincing enough to stop the behavior which was his goal. The kids don't want to hurt the school or the city. "Taught the kittens how to better cover their shit" was too funny. That was just like Brian to say that.
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing George. Without hard evidence Justin couldn't justify restricting them to the campus yet. And had he come out and said what he knew he would be required by law to report it. It was a delicate matter which he handled the best way he saw; how to stop it without hurting anyone in the process. The boys didn't realize their game was hurting the school and it's over now. From a kid psychology standpoint he avoided the age issue which they would not have listened to as much as learning they were hurting the school and city. Justin has a great way dealing with his kids. He understands them so he knows how to get them to cooperate with him.

Author's Response: Thanks Annjeela; it was fun to write too. I'm a fan of sailing and rent a boat once or twice each summer to keep up the skill. The boat that Justin bought can be rented for about $600 a day where I live in the USA.

Interesting chapter. If you've ensured a boy has all the basics - which the Kinneyville youth certainly do, how could you stop them from selling themselves if that's what they want to do? Part of me says there should be a way, but the realist doesn't believe it. Good writing as always.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review and comments Annjeela. This chapter reflects how 'some boys' in the real gay world decide to come out with money for pride. Most come out with a lover but enough do it this way to mention it. It's not a widespead practice and most boys only do it coming out and stop the money game after that. Often they use that method to seek a lover too. It's a complex part of the gay world now imaged in the vampire gay universe of Embraced. If their bank accounts get too large Justin might have to do something about it.
