TED! Too funny! Love him! He will be a wonderful professor, another good idea. It's all in the details & you have fun, logical, creative, heart wrenching/warming, amazing details!

Glad PRIDE came to Kinneyville, love it....

I don't quite understand how making money by the boys allowing someone give them a blow job, gives them pride.  I can understand for the need of money but I'm not following w/ the pride & coming out that you mentioned.

Sorry if I'm coming off nit witted about some of the things you bring into the story. Be sure of one thing though, I'm learning a lot, HA!

LOVE how this story just keeps going & since vampires never die, the story will never end... Sounds like a plan to me!

Author's Response:

Thank you Susan for commenting. Ted is one of my favorite characters in the QAF universe. About the underground practice by young teenage gay boys; imagine growing up being told you're a sinner, you're going to hell, you're hated by society, you less than a citizen and can't have the same rights as a straight person. Think about hearing all that shit growing up and fearing being found out as you're coming out as a gay person. Your self esteem is very low in that emotional environment. Well, the money says I'm worth something; I'm valuable; add to that gay boys love sex and money and they really love it when they can get both at the same time. It happens; not a lot but it happens in the real gay world mainly with only males to my knowledge. It makes coming out both fun and profitable. That's why it happens.

Interesting chapter.  If you've ensured a boy has all the basics - which the Kinneyville youth certainly do, how could you stop them from selling themselves if that's what they want to do?

Part of me says there should be a way, but the realist doesn't believe it.

Good writing as always.

Author's Response: Thank you for the review and comments Annjeela. This chapter reflects how 'some boys' in the real gay world decide to come out with money for pride. Most come out with a lover but enough do it this way to mention it. It's not a widespead practice and most boys only do it coming out and stop the money game after that. Often they use that method to seek a lover too. It's a complex part of the gay world now imaged in the vampire gay universe of Embraced. If their bank accounts get too large Justin might have to do something about it.

Justin had forgetten the gay pride ... But HOW CAN HE FORGET THE GAY-PRIDE ? At the présent time, I live only for OUR Gay-Pride, here next Saturday ( happy dance :D ).

I read this chapter, I hated.....No, I'm joking because as usual, you made a magnificent chapter ;)

I read your comment at the end, and also your answers, especially to George ... And I simply smiled, just smiled...because that's all,...You're inside, you have hit the nail

Great, great chapter ... Thanks (sighs of satisfaction)

Author's Response: Thanks myhazel_eyes for your comments. That makes three gay boys who understand the chapter. I expected to get some flake from the girls and mothers from this chapter. Reminds me of that line from Rocky Horror Picture Show: "That's a rather tender subject; another slice anyone?"

just wowww ... I love the last few chapters

Author's Response: Thank you very much for the review and comment Marny. Is there a subject in the hidden gay world I haven't wrote about yet? Well fisting, and I won't because I find it digusting but I think all our secrets are gayme (game) in the vampire universe of "Embraced".

Man you write fast. I had several chapters to catch up with. I'm impressed how you will tell things about real gay life that are forbidden subjects to discuss as you did in this chapter. Nobody ever mentions the underground in real life. The stakes are too great. Yet you put it in the story and explain exactly why it exist. JT,you got a pair on you is all I can say. Great chapter. Perhaps you riding the edge of the rules is partly why this story is so popular. Looking forward to your next chapter. How you top what you have already written will be interesting to see.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review and comments George. The underground as it's called has existed since I was an underage kid doing it and that was decades ago. The latest wave of stricter legal rules only forced it more underground and more secret. I debated about doing this chapter but since I wanted this story to refect the gay world within the vampire univese I had an obligation to write it. Some might be disturbed by the chapter but as you know it's a matter of pride and coming out all rolled into one for the boys who do it. Gay boys don't give a sh*t about their age when they want to play dirty. And the cash makes them proud to be gay in a straight world that hates you. It's a complex psychological subject that perhaps only us gay boys/men truly can understand.
