So beautifully written! I wish we had seen more of this type of interaction and caring during Brian's cancer arc on the show. I loved the last line, BTW! Perfect. Me too! I felt like the cancer arc was so formative for the Brian character. He did a lot of developing during that time, having to confront his own mortality and having no choice but to be vulnerable and to accept help, even as much as he tried to fight it. I love stories about them getting through it together, too. <3

It's a very difficult position for both partners to be in -- the one who needs help and the one helping. I felt like they glossed over a lot of things in the cancer arc in the show. Thus, my tendency to write gapfillers about it, and my love of reading them.
