AW. I really liked this Mikey. Using a bombed out Babylon as the back drop to the story was amazing, parallelling how Brian was feeling inside. One of the few Mikey stories worth rerading IMO. Nice job.

I read so many anti-Michael stories that while I respect the story, I just don't necessarily agree with the characterization of Michael. Michael has his flaws....heck all the characters do. Especially in the first season with regards to Brian & Justin's relationship. But once Michael fell in love with Ben, he began to grow. And by Season 5 Michael was living his own life, not following around behind Brian anymore. He even questioned Brian's behavior towards Justin and taking Justin's side in their relationship. It started during Season 4 when they found out about the cancer. Michael was the one that actually helped get them back together. Explaining to Justin WHY Brian was acting like an ass and telling Brian what a shitty thing he did to Justin. And then during Season 5, by providing a place for Justin to stay, helping him move into an apartment, giving him furniture. Some people say that Michael did that out of some ulterior motive. I just saw his behavior as signs of Michael FINALLY growing up.
Anyway, I leave the anti-Michael stories for others. My Michael is flawed but has an overall caring and compassionate heart. *puts soap box away*

It was kind of cool having Michael and Daphene team up. It was something different. Very nicely done.

That was really good POV story I am not a Michael fan but you put him in prospective that worked. I can actually see that eventually Michael would be a supporter of Brian and Justin because he most know that Brian is way too much maintaince for most people especially him. Justin has what it takes to manage the deep complex man that is Brian Kinney
Author's Response: Alot of people are anti-Michael. I'm not one of those people. Michael has his flaws, but he loves Brian. And love is not perfect. He has his moments where he can be annoying like Brian has his moments of insensitivity. I've seen much growth of these two characters over the seasons. I tried to reflect that.

I liked this. It makes that Daphne and Michael would want to help bring Brian and Justin together. That is what best friends would do. Glad it worked out.

A unique look at Michael and Daphne. I can't help but wonder where Brian got the idea that Justin needed to be in New York, that he needed to experience everything that life there had to offer? But whatever happens Michael and Daphne will have their backs.
