I'm glad that Justin was the force that finally tamed Michael and sent him away.   He aways did think he was far superior when it came to Brian, but Justin was always the one to set him straight.

I would let Lindsey rot in Canada

Author's Response:

I think that might be Justin's preference as well.

Good chapter in the series.  All I have to say to Lindsay, is watch out.    With Justin around, she isnt getting away with anything.

Author's Response:

Again, apologies for the late response.  And no, Linds will never get away with much on Justin's watch.

Oh Wren that is a wonderful story I love a whitchy Justin lol

Author's Response:

Thanks, honey.  I love witchy Justin too - and bitchy Justin for that matter.  *g*

I enjoy reading this story over and over.  For once Melanie did the right thing.

Author's Response:

Thanks.  Yes.  I'm so conflicted about Mel - her character is often so appalling but I adore Michelle.  So it's nice to imagine how she would play this kind of scene.  I think she'd be marvellous.  Glad you like my excursion into this fantasy.

Excellent series and story. Well done.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Bob.  I have to admit I enjoy writing the Justin!Rage stories.  They're very cathartic for me.  Especially this one.  Glad you like them.

Love this - I've read it a number of times - enjoy it everytime.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  I have a soft spot for the Justin!Rage stories.  I always wanted him to take on some of the other characters in canon when they were out of line and he never did.  This is my wish fulfillment AU.  Glad you enjoyed it.

Knowing what Justin is capable of it's amazing that he kept his temper so well.  Melanie was being nasty just for nasty's sake and you can't help but wonder just what is going on in Toronto.  It's so sweet that Gus doesn't want his daddy to be alone and is willing for Justin to be with him.  It's also good that Brian knows and is happy knowing that Justin loves him.  How cruel of Lindsay to cancel on their visit.  That will be the last straw for Justin. That Brian admitted that they are partners and is wanting Justin to go to the lawyer with him is fanominal!  I'm glad he's finallly taking action.  Love how Justin got through to the women and that Melanie has seen the truth while Lindsay runs and hides.  Melanie has finally done the right thing and in just the right way.  I love how Brian can count on Ted and how Ted drops everything to make things right.  Wish Lindsay would stay and rot.  How wonderful that Ted and Emmett were waiting for them and Emmett took charge of Lindsay.  The best thing is Gus going home with his daddy.  Sigh, such a lovely story correcting all the wrongs.

Author's Response:

I really had trouble deciding whether it was Linds or Mel who annoyed me most over the 5 series, but I suspect that it was Lindsay because she was supposed to be Brian's friend - Wendy to his Peter Pan.  And I've always wondered if Justin would have begun to recognize just how poisonous that relationship was.  In this story, because he doesn't have all the S1 memories when the girls were kind to him (even if they were unbelievably patronising), I think he would see them very clearly indeed.  And, of course, this Justin can do something about them.  Glad you enjoyed me playing with those ideas.

Darn and I was looking for more.  Well since there is nothing here I'll just reread chapter one.  Always a fun thing to do.

I enjoyed this story so much. The fact Brian and Gus love each other so, even the mom's wished they didn't.It had to be hard for Mel to telll Gus she was leaving, but she would always love him--she did the right thing by giving Brian his rights back, she finally saw that Linz had played them againest each other at Gus's expensive. I hope there is a chance Brian and Justin will allow Mel to visit --Mel and Gus need each other than Linz does .  Teddy and Emmett are truly great friends to Brian.

Author's Response:

Thank you. One of the few positives for me from the last two seasons was the growing friendship between Ted and Brian especially, and also between Emmett and Brian.  (I love the little peck on the cheek Em gives him in the bar in Toronto.)

I enjoyed this story very much. I am anti mikey and quiet happy the jerk killed himself. I find Debbie at fault for not getting her son to grow up and if she needs his toys to remember him she is as stupid as her son.

Author's Response:

Know what you mean about the "anti-Mikey" thing.  By the end of S5 I could hardly bear to watch any scene with him in it.  From where I stand that character had virtually no redeeming features.  Every time he turned on those puppy dog eyes I wanted to tear them out of his head and make him eat them.

So yes ... and glad you enjoyed.

I'm so glad we find out the super power as does Brian... also very happy that he is accepting of his Sunshine and Sunshine's power... now fueled by LOVE!

Author's Response:

Thank you. I think, after the whole thing with Mikey's spirit in the loft, this Brian would be much more likely to accept certain things than canon Brian. And yes.  A major breakthrough for Justin that his powers don't have  to be dependent on anger.

Reviewer: cookiebun (Signed) · Date: January 30, 2017 05:43 PM · On: Always Have, Always Will

I like Justin's super power... make Lindsay actually see herself.  I'm glad Mel saw herself and changed the situation.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  I disliked Lindsay intensely in S5.  She was so manipulative.  And although I didn't like Mel much either, at least Mel was kind of honest about her feelings.

This was fantastic... super crazy Michael, and Debbie too... poor wittle Mikey is never culpable for his own actions... even when it was attempted murder!!!! ugh

Author's Response:

Thank you.  The fact that Mikey was given a free pass from the whole "family" on just about everything - from the despicable way he treated Tracey to the tantrums he threw about Deb and Carl - just drove me nuts.  Glad you enjoyed me working out some of that frustration.

It's been awhile since I've this one,so worth a second read!

Hugs Kathleen

Author's Response: Thanks Kathleen I'm glad you enjoyed the revisit.

I like that Justin finally told Brian about his power and that he was able to light the tree not from anger, but from love.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  Yes.  A couple of big break throughs for Justin.  Who must, when you think about it, have felt even more isolated and lonely than Brian  in many ways.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: January 16, 2017 05:11 AM · On: Always Have, Always Will

I could have strangled the girls, but Melanie redeemed herself.  It was lucky that Brian got there when he did.  Shame Justin couldn't have worked his magic and blow Lindsay up the way he had done Mikey.

Author's Response:

LOL Well, disposing of a ghost or evil spirit is a little less legally fraught than disposing of a living person.

This is one of my favorite Halloween Tales.  You give us suspense.  I love how Justin managed to shed light on the eviless that invaded Brian's loft.  That being said, I always felt that Michael's character was malicious.  Whether that was the writing or Hal's interpetation of the character I don't know.  I've never seen the British version so I can't compare their portrayals.  Debbie on the other hand you hit spot on.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  ITA that Mikey always was malicious.  As I frequently point out, right from 101 he lied about Brian "begging" him to come to the hospital.  He did it for his own purposes with no regard as to how that would negatively affect Emmett's view of Brian.  And I've always figured that wasn't the first time and might explain a lot about Ted and Emmett's attitude to Brian in the early series.  Not to mention, of course, how nasty he was to Justin.  And how stupidly he behaved - his swerve to "avoid hitting the doggie" could have had serious repercussions if Brian's neck had made contact with the back of the seat in front.  Brian could have suffered quite nasty neck or even spinal damage.

It's funny that you mention the Brit version because Vince (the Mikey character) is absolutely my favorite character in that version.  He's lovely.  Sweet and funny (and much much smarter than Michael).  He's a Dr Who geek, but he's not dumb, verging on retarded, the way Michael comes across sometimes.

So no, not sure if it was the writing, or Hal, or a combination (because I seriously wanted to smack that little smirk off Mikey's face from the very first scene and that smirk is pure Hal) but I disliked him in 101 and by about 105 I was a confirmed Mikey hater.  And it had nothing to do with my attitude to Brian, or to Brian and Justin, I just found him completely objectionable.

Interesting revelation about Justin's "power".  Wsn't sure if I was reding that in to the last chapter.  Couldn't happen to a better person than Lindsay.  She can't intimidate Justin!  Great chapter,  Bill

Author's Response: Thanks Bill. I think Justin is absolutely the tough one in the BJ relationship. Brian is so conditioned to ignoring the slings and arrows that the others throw at him. This Justin isn't as likely to do that. And the power of light can be a terrifying thing to someone who chooses darkness.

Love Justin and his control over Lindsay.  Gus s happy to be with his Daddy so all's right with the world.  Another great chapter in the story.  Bill

Author's Response: Thanks Bill. My patience with Lindsay had run out completely by the end of S5. I don't think this Justin's would last much beyond a couple of hours. *g*

Hope that spooky Mikey is gone for good.  Interesting story line and really anti-Michael as you warned/promised.

Author's Response:

Yes. Spooky Mikey is definitely gone for good.  (Oh, how I wish that had been true in canon.  Imagine the emotional impact if he'd died in the bombing.)

Glad that you enjoyed.
