Chapter 3--------------
“O brawling love! O loving hate! O anything, of nothing first create! O heavy lightness! Serious vanity! Mis-shapen chaos of well-seeming forms! Feather of lead, bright smoke, cold fire, sick health! Still-waking sleep, that is not what it is! ”
Justin could feel the hard material pressing against his back as he was lying on the dimly lit stage. He’d seen that place before, he was sure about that, but he was sitting on one of the now empty chairs in the theatre. He didn’t know how he’d gotten here now, but he didn’t really care because a devastatingly intense feeling was pulsing in his veins. There was dead silence in the room; the only sound he could hear was his own ragged breathing. And suddenly, from out of nowhere a gentle but determined hand grabbed his face and made him look into the most amazing pair of sparkling hazel eyes he’d ever seen. He didn’t understand at first why he was there in the theatre with Brian, because he hadn’t accepted the man’s offer; and he could clearly remember that he’d gotten back to Ethan not so long ago. He stopped wondering pretty soon because unfamiliar and indescribable sensations started to overwhelm his esurient body. Brian lowered himself on Justin slowly and carefully, never taking his eyes off of the trembling boy. Justin caressed the man’s neck and pulled him as close as possible; he couldn’t wait any longer to taste those inviting lips. Seeing Justin’s wanton eagerness Brian smiled and gently brushed the blond hair aside from the boy’s forehead. Justin’s breathing started to quicken and he could hear the blood throbbing in his ears; he was overheated with excited anticipation and his body was begging for some relief desperately. Brian was leaning closer and closer, but his movement seemed to be excruciatingly slow and it made Justin moan with frustration. The man stopped when his lips barely touched Justin’s and waited for the boy to make the next move. Justin couldn’t take it anymore; he buried his hands in the silky brown hair and pressed his mouth against Brian’s. Brian returned the kiss willingly and his tongue slowly entered the blonde’s mouth. Justin couldn’t believe that a kiss could be so out of this world; it was something he’d never experienced before. Brian’s taste and scent was intoxicating; his tongue was stroking the inside of Justin’s mouth with tender determination while trying to pull the boy’s pants down. Justin arched a bit to help him free his more than impatient cock. The man pulled the pants down in no time and started to stroke Justin’s already rock hard erection, never breaking the kiss. Justin tried very hard not to come; he didn’t want it to end before it even started. A pretty familiar and quite disappointing sound broke this magic; Justin knew that something wasn’t right. This was something he was not supposed to be hearing at that moment. Before he opened his eyes he knew very well what had happened. Ethan. He was playing his violin with full force; never caring if anyone wanted to sleep. Justin thought that this dream was the most beautiful he’d ever had, and he found himself being pissed at Ethan for ending it. “Good morning!” He heard Ethan’s harsh voice that made him cringe, “There’s no better way to wake up than listening to Beethoven!” “Well, I could imagine a much better way,” Justin murmured under his breath but Ethan didn’t hear it, “…and it wouldn’t be this noisy.” Ethan was playing his violin with growing enthusiasm while asking Justin, “Did you sleep well?” Justin rubbed his face slowly and tried not to think of his impressive boner, which had been the result of his intense dream. “Umm…yeah.” “I bet you had a really nice dream.” Ethan said but the look on his face was unreadable. ‘Fuck.’ Justin thought. He hoped that he hadn’t betrayed himself; sometimes he talked while he was asleep. Ethan stopped playing and stepped to the bed then kneeled on the edge of it and asked with a much too sweet smile, “Was I in it?” Justin didn’t know what to answer so he acted like he didn’t hear the question, “Huh?” “Your dream. You were smiling in your sleep; you must have been dreaming about me.” That was so very Ethan. He thought that everything was about him. But as long as it kept his suspicions away, it was fine with Justin, “Ummm…sure.” Ethan gave Justin a quick kiss on the lips then stepped back to the middle of the room and started to play again. ‘What a satisfying sex life’ Justin thought bitterly. But he couldn’t expect anything else. Ethan told him from time to time that sexuality wasn’t very important to him. He said that romance was much more important than sex itself. Justin tried to share this opinion but never really convinced himself. In the beginning of their relationship they’d had sex more often, though it hadn’t really been enough or very satisfying for Justin. As he looked at the clock he jumped out of bed immediately. “Fuck!” He yelled, “I’m late for work! Why didn’t you wake me up earlier?” Ethan blinked and stared at him blankly, “I didn’t know what time it was. You know that I don’t care about time when I’m playing.” “Yeah, I know.” Justin replied angrily while he tried to look for some clean clothes to put on, “You’d care about time if you had a job.” But as he said these words, he regretted it. He knew what was coming, and he really didn’t have time for soothing Ethan’s sensitive ego. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Ethan raised his voice. “Nothing, I’m sorry. I just hate to be late.” Ethan didn’t reply, just kept on playing his instrument. Justin got himself ready in a few minutes and with a quick peck he said goodbye to his boyfriend. He was working in a diner on Liberty Avenue and he had an early shift that morning. It wasn’t the job of his dreams but it was better than nothing; at least he would earn some money before he became a professional artist. He hoped that one day he would be one. Though his father didn’t know about it, his mother paid for his tuition but it already was too much for Justin and he wanted to be able to do it himself. And of course they had to pay the rent for the apartment and apart from a few contests and some playing on the streets; Ethan didn’t make too much money. By the time Justin had reached the Liberty diner, he tried to catch his breath since he made his way in record time. The deafening sound of his cell woke Brian up in the morning. He could feel a head resting on his chest but he was still half-asleep and had no time to wonder who his guest was. He reached his hand out and tried to find his phone on the nightstand. When he finally made it, he answered, “What?” Michael’s whining made him wake up completely; the sound of his voice filled Brian’s already aching head, “Where the hell are you? Everyone’s waiting for you! We have a rehearsal this morning, did you forget about that?” Brian rubbed his face and answered in a sleepy voice, “Of course not. I’ll be right there.” “Then hurry the fuck up and…” He didn’t hear the whole sentence because he decided to hang up. Listening to Michael’s screaming was the last thing he needed that morning. Without looking at the head that was lying on his chest, he tried to remember the events of the night before. It was pretty difficult considering the large amount of alcohol he’d had. He remembered a blond boy who refused to fuck him and it made him angry again. He wasn’t sure about the rest though; maybe the boy had changed his mind because someone was definitely sleeping beside him in the bed. He looked down to see the man beside him and he saw someone with black hair and a tanned body. He didn’t know why, but he felt disappointed; not that he really cared about that blond twink, but he didn’t understand why the boy had said no. No one had ever rejected him. But it looked like he’d found some other eager candidate anyway. He got out of bed quickly, shoved the sleeping man in the arm and said, “Get your shit and leave.” The man didn’t know for a second where he was, but when he noticed Brian, a wide sexy grin crossed his face, “Last night was fucking unbelievable. Want to…” Brian yelled at the man, “Did you fucking hear me? I said get out of here!” The man got out of the bed reluctantly while scratching his overused bottom, “I’ll take a shower first.” “No time for that. I’ve got to go. You’ve got two minutes to leave.” “Asshole.” The man said but got dressed in a minute and left the place without saying goodbye. Not that Brian really minded. He took a look around in the flat and reminded himself to get a cleaning lady. Now that the company decided to settle down in Pittsburgh, since they’d gotten a very advantageous contract here, he needed to look for a place to live in. He’d found this loft, which met his expectations and he could afford it. Some of his things were still in boxes but he wanted to change that pretty soon since unlike other actors, he liked to have everything in place. He put his clothes on and left his loft. As he stepped onto the street he realized that he was starving since he’d had no time to eat. He was walking down Liberty Avenue and stopped by a place called Liberty diner. He’d seen this diner before but he was way too particular to set foot in a place like that. But now he had no choice since he was already late and he needed to eat something. He thought that one visit wouldn’t kill him, so he pulled the door and stepped inside. As he approached the counter he noticed a guy standing behind it, placing things on plates. Under normal circumstances Brian would have told him to take his order but he changed his mind when he realized how nice this guy’s ass was. He raised an eyebrow and watched that tempting ass moving slowly. He finally looked at the back of the boy’s head. ‘Not another blond’ he thought to himself and tried to forget about his failure last night. The boy turned around finally and Brian couldn’t believe that the subject of his failure was staring back at him. Justin stood there petrified, unable to believe who was standing in front of him. The memories of the night before and pictures of his more than erotic dream started to haunt him and he could feel a slight twitch in his pants. But this time it was he who spoke first, “Hey.” Brian gave him an extra smug grin while trying to act like he was not excited to see the blond again, “Why, what a surprise.” Justin couldn’t be more embarrassed, but he asked what he was supposed to ask, “What can I get you?” Brian answered with his tongue-in-cheek smirk, which Justin found pretty hot, “What have you got?” Justin gave Brian a menu and hoped that the man wouldn’t notice that his hands were shaking. “Is it your first time here?” He asked Brian who was looking at the menu in front of him, “I don’t think I’ve seen you here before.” “Probably because I haven’t been here before.” Brian answered without looking up from the menu. He wanted to give this kid a hard time; wanted to make him regret his former decision.“Coffee and a turkey sandwich. And I’m going to take it to go.” He said finally and looked at the blushing boy who nodded and took his order. Brian didn’t want to say more but he couldn’t help himself as he was placing the money on the counter, “How long have you been working here?” “A year or so. When I’m not at college, I’m working here.” Brian knew that he had to act like he was not interested but he asked the next question, “What do you study?” “Fine arts, at PIFA.” Brian nodded slowly and smiled at the boy, “Now I understand where those philosophical comments were coming from.” Justin blushed again; he hated to be reminded of their previous conversation. Before he could say anything else the man took the order from his hands. “I’ve got to go. We have another performance tonight.” Now it was Justin who had to ask something, “Which play?” The man’s lips started to form an evil smile then he added, “The Taming of the Shrew” And with that he exited the place. Peter, a young waiter stopped beside Justin and watched the man leaving. After a second he asked Justin in an excited voice, “Oh. My. God. Who was that?” “He’s an actor; he plays in a theatrical company. And he’s an asshole actually.” He didn’t mean the last part but it made him feel better to say something like that. The waiter replied, “Who cares when he looks so hot?” Justin shrugged and turned away, trying not to think of this man anymore; and most of all, trying not to think of all the things the man could have done to him.
