Brian had been back in the Pitts for five days now. Although he was happy to see his friends, his thoughts always drifted back to Justin. At first he figured, fuck it, who needs the constraints of a relationship anyway. But then he started daydreaming about the blond, and remembering how incredible the kid made him feel. The inevitable truth, was that his feelings for Justin scared the shit out of him. However, he knew it was time to let Justin know how he felt. Without much of a plan, he packed some clothes, and made arrangements for a morning flight to Georgia. Justin was ecstatic to be home. The parade given in his honor, and the key that Mayor Letchas awarded to him, truly touched him. The five days that had passed were filled with family and friends stopping by, and endless celebrations and ceremonies. Things were finally starting to wind down, and Justin found himself thinking about Brian. He wondered if Brian missed him at all. He had secretly hoped that the hazel eyed lieutenant wouldn't listen to him, and show up in Alpharetta anyway. Justin got his wish the next day. He was relaxing at his parent's house, when there was a sturdy knock on the door. His mother came into the den, and with a gleam in her eyes said, "There's a very handsome young man at the door who says that he's here to see you." "What's his name?" "I don't know, he didn't give one." "Well, what does he look like?", Justin asked starting to feel nervous. "He's tall and slim, with dark brown hair, and the most beautiful hazel eyes I've ever seen." "Shit!" Justin exclaimed. 'Could it be him?' "Watch your language young man." "Sorry Ma." Justin got up from his recliner, and headed to the front door. "Brian", he confirmed, a little shocked. "Justin Taylor...may I come in?", Brian asked with raised eyebrows. "Sure." Brian followed Justin into the living room. Justin's heart was racing. Brian was here, in Georgia, standing in his house, and he looked fucking amazing! Sitting across the way from Brian he couldn't help but notice how snugly his jeans fit. Justin had never seen him in civilian clothes before. Brian had gained a little weight, and his denim shirt enveloped his muscular toned body enticingly. Justin's quick review of Brian did not escape him. A small smile graced his lips. Justin anxiously asked, "Why are you here Brian?" "I came here to tell you that you were wrong." Justin looked at him, puzzled. "You were wrong about the reason why I wanted to come here." He paused trying to think of the right words. "Go on" Justin encouraged him. "I realized that I needed you in my life. I wanted things to work out between us." Justin let out a sigh, and said, "Brian, I believe that you believe you want a relationship with me. But your past actions have indicated otherwise." "I heard about the tricking while you were in the hospital, and I also heard what you said to me very clearly in the helicopter. You implied that what we had was just physical, and purely due to our circumstances." "Look Justin, give me an opportunity to prove that I mean everything I'm saying now." "Brian, how can I ever trust you? I won't give you another chance to hurt me again." "I didn't mean to hurt you Justin. Everyone deserves a second chance, even me." When his words elicited no response from a stoic Justin, he continued, "In case you're interested, I'm staying at the Doubletree Hotel." Brian rose and stared into Justin's cobalt blue eyes for a moment before speaking. "Don't bother walking me to the door, I can find my own way out...I'll see you around." Justin watched as the man he adored walked away. He was apprehensive as to whether or not he should believe Brian. Justin decided that if Brian was serious, then he would find a way to convince him. He couldn't suppress the grin however, that adorned his face upon entering the kitchen. Justin was surprised to find his mother waiting for him, full of questions. She knew when her baby boy had a crush, but this time she saw he was completely enamored with the man. "So tell me", she began, "who is this Brian?" "Is he the same Brian that was imprisoned with you in Iraq?" Justin took a seat next to her, and prepared to tell her the PG version of their experience together. It had been a week since Brian first came to Alpharetta. During that time, he had wholeheartedly immersed himself in Justin's life. Everywhere Justin went, Brian was there. Justin found his strong resolve weakening. Observing another side of Brian, he learned that he could be charismatic and endearing when he wanted to be. It seemed that Justin's family and friends were not immune to the Kinney charm either. Although they had developed an easy friendship, with a flirtatious bantering between them, Brian was frustrated that Justin still wouldn't allow their relationship to progress any further. He knew that Justin was waiting for that one romantic gesture from him, but Brian wasn't sure he had it in him. Friday night came, and Justin met some of his family and friends at Michael's. It was one of the few local places that offered any form of entertainment. One of his cousins had invited Brian to come along too. Brian studied the young man sitting across the way from him. He was absolutely beautiful, and a better man than Brian could ever hope to be. He was tired of fantasizing about Justin while he took care of his needs. Brian longed to have the real thing in his bed. He was determined that it would happen tonight. He only hoped that what he planned, would win Justin's love. Because even though Brian was an accomplished tactician, he was insecure in matters of the heart. Justin didn't know how much longer he could fend off Brian's advances. He yearned for Brian's touch. Justin sensed that something was going to happen tonight, but he tried not to get too excited. He reminded himself that Brian Kinney didn't do romance. Justin returned his attention to the people singing. He smiled coyly at Brian, when a chubby young man got up and started singing, "You can't always get what you want..." With lustful eyes, Brian smiled back at Justin and winked. 'Damn, the kid was adorable.' Brian had great respect for the suckers who got up to sing, leaving themselves vulnerable to everyone's criticism. He applauded as the young man on the stage finished his song. It was almost 2:00 in the morning. Justin's group was still laughing and drinking, and having a great time poking fun at the people who were singing. The final singer of the night was going to perform before they all took their leave. Brian excused himself to go to the men's room before he headed back to his hotel. Justin downed his last drink, and almost choked when the music started playing, and Brian commandeered the stage. He looked directly at Justin when he announced, "This is to prove to a special person, how much he means to me." A half drunk Brian, grabbed the microphone, and proceeded to sing his rendition of "I Think I Love You". I think I love you So what am I so afraid of? I'm afraid that I'm not sure of A love there is no cure for I think I love you Isn't that what life is made of? Though it worries me to say I've never felt this way Justin was mesmerized, and had to blink twice to make sure that what he was seeing and hearing was actually taking place. His family and friends were emitting sounds of "Awwwwww....." and "Ohhhhh...." , while his mother rubbed his back, with tears in her eyes. Believe me You really don't have to worry I only want to make you happy And if you say Hey, go away, I will But I think better still I'd better stay around and love you Do you think I have a case? Let me ask you to your face Do you think you love me? Justin finally broke out of his trance, and nodded yes, and then climbed onto the stage to embrace Brian. They both chuckled, as Brian almost lost his balance from Justin launching himself at him. As they left the establishment together, Justin said to Brian, "You cornball, I can't believe you did that." Brian stopped Justin and caressed the back of his head. Leaning their foreheads together he responded, "I can't believe I did that either. But somehow, I think you're worth every bit of the embarrassment I endured." They continued walking hand and hand to Brian's hotel. Once inside the room, all their inhibitions dissolved, as they professed their love to each other, through actions and breathless whispers. Eager hands stripped each other's clothes off, as their lips met, and their tongues dueled. The first time was hard and fast, both of them cumming with a shout. The second time was torturously slow. They taunted and teased each other several times to the brink of an orgasm. Then when they could no longer stand it, they exploded together in ecstasy. Satiated and content, Justin snuggled up to Brian. "Do you really think our relationship will last?", Justin pondered out loud. Brian tilted Justin's head up to look at him when he said, "As long as you give me a blow job every morning, and let me fuck you into the mattress every night, I don't see a problem." With a glint of amusement in his eyes, Justin answered, "Yes sir, Lieutenant Kinney. That's one order I'll gladly obey." They both started to laugh as Brian hugged Justin tightly to his chest, sure that together they would indeed survive again, against all odds.
