Hazel eyes bore into him as the brunet inquired, "Justin, you trust me by now, don't you?" "Yes Brian, of course I do. You've helped me so much, even with everything you know about me." The sincerity and emotion behind the kid's remarks embarrassed him a little. Brian continued, "Then I want you to sit down, because we need to discuss our plan." "We've got ample testimony as to your exemplary behavior since you've been at Riker's. Your ability to stay out of trouble is commendable. But that's basically all we have." Justin frowned and scrunched his nose as he listened to Brian finish. "In the past, you've never displayed any remorse over what you've done. Truth be told, in the eyes of the parole board, I don't know if the testimony we obtained is enough to secure you an early release, especially due to the severity of your crime." "Then...what do you propose?" "I'm not going to apologize for something that I think the fucker had coming to him", Justin declared in an angst ridden voice. He was confused, and surmised by Brian's intonation that he wasn't going to like his suggestion very much. In response to his question, Brian bluntly stated, "I want to testify about our counseling sessions." Justin wasn't sure he was interpreting what Brian said correctly. He let out a huff and queried in an accusatory manner, "Do you mean that you want to tell the parole board about what really happened?" "You want to tell them that I let my stepfather touch me, and I never did anything to stop him. You're actually going to describe in detail how he humiliated me, and violated me." Justin walked over to the window shaking his head, and adamantly said "No, no fucking way". "I thought you couldn't repeat anything I said in our sessions together. Isn't there such a thing as doctor/patient confidentiality?" he asked visibly shaken. "You're right Justin, there is. However, if you agree that I can testify on your behalf, then it's permissible to breach that particular ethic. Think of it this way, it will enlighten the board as to why you did what you did. They'll know you've been wrongly incarcerated. If they hear the truth, they wouldn't dare deny you your freedom." Brian felt like a total shit because the kid was clearly distraught. Justin leaned his forehead against the window. He had to take a few minutes to process what Brian had said. Did he really want to expose Justin's wounds for all to see? What was he thinking? Justin closed his eyes tightly. Brian felt the need to reinforce his position again. "In my opinion, it's the only way. Please, for your sake Sunshine, reconsider it. " Justin turned around to face him. He saw the conviction on Brian's face, and heard the plea in his words. After pondering a while longer, the reality of the situation hit him. Justin surprised Brian when he suddenly blurted out, "Okay". Brian exhaled the breath he was holding and enthused, "Okay what?" "Okay I believe in you. I understand now what it is you're trying to accomplish, and I trust you...Let's do it." Approaching him Brian patted him on the arm, exclaiming proudly, "Good boy." At that very moment, Justin believed with all his heart that Brian wouldn't let him down. It was the day of the hearing. Brian could barely contain his visceral reaction when he saw a suit clad Justin walking down the hall. Fuck, the kid looked hot! He had on a midnight blue suit with a white shirt, and the designer tie Brian had lent him. He noticed how the suit complimented Justin's fair hair, and his cerulean blue eyes. Brian, who was wearing a suit as well, sincerely hoped that it would successfully camouflage the expanding bulge in his pants. However, before he even had a chance to complete his thoughts, and properly greet Justin, a guard emerged from the hearing room. "Mr. Kinney, Mr. Taylor, the parole board will see you now."
