“I’m taking my break now baby. You gonna be ok?” Debbie asked as she untied her apron. “Course” Justin smiled. “Why don’t you just go home. I can cover ‘till Jen and Andy get here”. He handed the woman her coat. “Besides, you need to go make yourself look gorgeous for tonight”. Debbie looked hesitantly at him, and then sighed taking her coat. “Well if you’re sure, I wouldn’t mind having a hot soak before the festivities commence” she joked. “You are still coming right? And bringing Ethan?” “Um, yeah sure”. Justin hadn’t planned on bringing Ethan especially as he knew Michael and Brian were gonna be there, but he got the feeling Debbie was worried about the “moment” he’d shared with Brian earlier, and figured if taking Ethan would stop her watching over him so closely then he’d do it. “Good” Debbie said as she grabbed his face and planted a wet kiss on his forehead. Justin watched as she walked towards the door, being stopping constantly by customers who wanted to wish her a happy birthday. Justin smiled to himself as he started clearing tables. “Excuse me” a male voice said behind him. Justin nearly dropped the plates he was holding when he turned around. In front of him stood one of the most beautiful men Justin had ever seen. He had short tussled black hair, olive skin and the most gorgeous green eyes. He was taller then the blond and wearing a perfectly fitted blue t-shirt which showed off every muscle. The Adonis smirked and Justin realised he’d been staring and quickly closed his mouth. “Sorry” he mumbled trying to gather himself. “No worries” the man said. “I was just looking for Debbie Novotney” “Oh you just missed her” The man looked disappointed “Well thanks anyway”. As he turned to leave, Justin realised he didn’t want him too. “Um, how do you know Deb then?” he said quickly. The dark haired man seemed to consider the question before answering. “We’re family” he finally said simply. “Oh” was all Justin could think to say. He didn’t know Debbie had any family besides Michael and Vic. “We haven’t seen each other in a while” he said as if reading Justin’s confused expression. “Well she’ll be in Woody’s bar tonight, bout 8. It’s her birthday” Now the man smiled. He had a beautiful smile. “Cool, maybe I’ll drop by”. “Nathan” he stuck out his hand. “Justin”. “Thanks Justin” Nathan said looking the boy up and down and smiling. “I might see you later”. Justin stared after the mysterious stranger. Just as he reached the door he turned around again. “Um, do you know if Brian Kinney still lives around here?”. For the first time since entering the dinner Nathan looked nervous. “Yeah” Justin was getting a funny feeling in the pit of his stomach. “And I guess he’ll be there tonight?” “Yeah”. The feeling was rising. A small smile pulled at the corners of Nathan’s full lips. He nodded slightly as if making his mind up about something and then he was gone. Justin didn’t know what that was about but he was sure that wasn’t the last he would be seeing of that guy.
