I know, I'm dragging this out, I'm sorry! I meant to post this yesterday and add my new chapter tonight, but RL has been kicking me in the ass LOL So I'm posting this one tonight and hopefully will finish the next one tomorrow and have it posted Sunday night.

Evening interlude

“Pass me the kale, please,” Justin asks his sister as the two siblings make dinner while attempting to ignore the clock. Brian would be home soon, and as much as the thought of having his husband home thrilled him, Justin is wary about the news his partner would be bringing. “I’ll set the table,” Molly announces suddenly and Justin has to look up to make sure it’s his sister and not some alien life form taking her place. “Thanks,” he says with a surprised smile. “I’m spending the night at Sofie’s tonight, by the way.” “Thanks for the last minute notice, Sis.” Smirking, she continues to set the table. “Do you need a ride?” He asks. She shakes her head, “No.” Justin nods his head, glad that all of Molly’s new friends lived within walking distance from each other. Getting the drinks out, he smiles softly; feeling more relaxed that Molly already has a plan if the news is bad. Nothing soothed a teenager’s heart like a good friend and a pillow fight. “Justin?” “Yeah?” “Do you want to go back to Pittsburgh?” Instead of answering, Justin decides to ask her the same question. “Do you?” The front door unlocks and both siblings turn to watch the door open and Brian step inside. Grinning, Justin hurries to the door, wrapping his arms around his husband’s neck and kissing him softly and then deeply. Pulling back, he smiles “Welcome back.” Returning the smile, Brian leans down and kisses his lover again. “Thanks,” he murmurs. Turning to Molly, he greets, “Hey, no new piercing?” “Not yet, but I am thinking about getting my belly button done.” She replies with a sweet smile. Rolling his eyes, Justin shakes his head while his husband chuckles and pulls Molly into a hug, kissing her cheek. Stepping back, the taller man smiles and walks over to the bedroom, lightly pinching Justin’s ass as he passes by. “Ow!” Justin laughs, returning to the kitchen to turn off the stove. Molly watches Brian’s movements from the kitchen counter. Whispering to her brother she asks, “Do you think the news is good or bad?” “I thought we weren’t going to think about it until after dinner?” Justin asks, knowing full well that neither one of them would be able to wait that long. “Yeah fuckin’ right,” she scowls. Justin is about to remind her about language but then decides that he really doesn’t give a fuck about that. Instead, he says, “Dinner is ready, go sit down.” “You’re not going to ask Brian without me, are you?” Molly asks alarmed. “Of course not, Molly.” “Well I’m not sitting down until Brian does,” she states with her arms crossed and sticking her tongue out at her brother. Justin can’t help but wonder how his pink haired sister can act like a mature adult one minute and an obnoxious child the next. Sighing, he places the meal on the table and requests “Get the salad from the counter. I’ll tell Brian to come and eat.” “And we’ll ask him while we’re eating, right?” “Yes, but that means letting him actually chew and swallow a few bites of food, Molly.” He reminds. “I’m not stupid.” Exhaling slowly, Justin reminds himself to choose his battles and walks over to the bedroom.
