I'm zipping past a few days here... Fast forward: four days later from last chapter

Goodnight Moon

“Sleep….sleep….sleep…” Justin chants to himself. “Sleep…. Sleep…” Ignoring the sleeping pills in the medicine cabinet, Justin stay in bed, willing himself to sleep. Squeezing his eyes shut, he tries to remind himself that Brian will be home tomorrow morning and that he doesn’t want his husband to see how tired he is. He hadn’t told Brian about his nightmares, his constant battles at falling asleep and staying asleep… the night terrors… and his newest issue: sleep walking. Last night he ‘woke up’ in the kitchen to find Molly asking why he was making jambalaya at 3:30 in the morning. Looking down at his hands, he realized she was right: he was making jambalaya at 3:30 in the morning. He vaguely remembered telling Molly that it was Brian. It was when Molly then told him that it was 3:30 that he really woke up. He certainly didn’t want another sleepwalking episode tonight. What if he left the apartment in that state? Who knows what could happen? Daan felt that this new predicament was due to extreme fatigue, anxiety and stress. Justin sighs, trying to remember how Daan had explained that extreme fatigue increases the chances of sleepwalking because it forces the body to go into a deeper sleep and thus allowing the dysfunctional transition into deep sleep to occur more readily, leading to sleepwalking. He sighs again. He knew he had to sleep… and he wanted to do it naturally so that he wouldn’t fall into that deep sleep too fast. “Fuck!” Justin hisses. Rubbing his face in his hands, he turns towards the bathroom. He was pretty sure those pills also made his nightmares feel more real. “I will not take those pills. I will sleep. I will sleep. Sleep….sleep…sleep…” Opening his eyes, he knows it’s pointless. Turning to the clock, he groans. It’s already 1:30 in the morning. “Fuckin’ shit.” Exhaling slowly, he tries to focus on staying calm. “I’m not stressed. I’m not anxious. I am calm. I am happy. I am tired. I am very, very tired… I will go to sleep. I am going to sleep. I am going to sleep. I am going to sleep…. Shit!” Sitting up, he frowns. “Fuckin’ pointless.” It’s at that moment that the front door opens. Justin straightens up and listens. The footsteps walk intentionally towards the bedroom and Justin feels his excitement grow. “You’re early!” Brian walks in, somewhat surprised to see Justin wide awake in bed. “Did I wake you?” He asks in a whisper. Jumping out of bed, Justin lunges at his husband and kisses him deeply before announcing, “Welcome back.”
