Justin’s POV Pittsburgh was as miserable as any other day, it was cold and dreary. The clouds decided to come out and grace us with their unwelcome presence and to make matters worse they decided to leak on me. That’s all I needed, rain. I ran across the plush and manicured lawns of St. James Academy. I tugged hard on the gold plated heavy doors of the main building, I stepped into the brightly lit corridor, I pulled of my hat and gloves and started walking through the hallways. As usual the floor was shiny and sterile, the walls were painted a traditional cream colour and the notice boards where neatly organized. I shook my head, “Some things never change”. I knew this school was one of the best in this miserable little town, but God could it be boring, everything had to be organized neat and freakin’ perfect in this school. I headed towards my locker, and as usual two people waited for me. I smiled at them and gave them a little wave. “Hi guys.” I said to them. I put my bag down and started to unlock my locker. “Hey man,” said Chris I had known Chris Hobbs since we were born, his parents had moved in next door to us. From that day on we had been the best of friends. His personality differed from mine, it always amazed people how we still stayed friends. Chris was on the football team he was the quarterback and was your overall basic jock, he’d act like a jock and bully like a jock. I had time and time again scolded him for his reckless behaviour but he never listened. I didn’t get why he and his teammates had to be so mean. But I guess that’s what jocks did. I on the other hand was not into sports but art and creative writing. I was more of an outgoing nice person. Some even said a warm and kind person was my personality. And well Chris was a Jock. But that never interfered with our friendship we were still the best of friends. “Well hello you,” said Daphne Daphne what can I say she’s amazing, me and Chris met her in first grade and after that she just joined me and Chris, I can never remember how though. Daphne is a beautiful young lady. Her brown complexion and dark hair gives her a sexy image, every guy round this school falls head over “trainers” for her, but this girl never notices. She has never been like the fake Barbie wannabes that surround this school. “So did you do your history homework?” asked Daphne I pulled out a couple of my books and shoved them into my backpack, and then slung my backpack over my right shoulder. “Yes Daphne I did,” I said rolling my eyes because I knew there would be a thousand and one questions on the assignment. “Oh that’s cool; I wanted to ask what you wrote for number four because I totally didn’t-” Daphne got cut off my Chris’s hand covering her mouth; I couldn’t help but laugh out. “Shhh… Daphne it’s too early so don’t make me hurt you” I couldn’t stop laughing Chris could be so forward sometimes. Daphne struggled against Chris, but he wouldn’t let her go until she promised that’s she’d shut up, she reluctantly agreed, but still held a very impressive pout. I looked at her and smiled and shook my head side to side. Chris slung his arm around her shoulders. “Don’t worry baby you’re clever, you will pass… and if not I’ll still love you,” said Chris adoringly. Daphne laughed and swatted him on the cheek lightly, and then put her head on his shoulder. I walked on Daphne’s other side and looked at them; they would make such a cute couple… maybe one day. We all walked to our homeroom class once we reached room 209 I pulled the door open an let Chris and Daphne go in first, we were a few minutes early so we sat down in our usual seat me and Chris a row side by side, and Daphne in front of me one row ahead. I plopped down on my seat ungraciously it was Monday morning and all I wanted to do was sleep. Chris folded his arms in front of him, and leaned his head on to them as a cushion. Daphne turned around and as usual babbled on about the new news about the pupils of this dull place. “Oh My God, I forgot to tell you guys that two new students are transferring from Pittsburgh High to St. James. The news is that they are both soccer phenomenons and got a scholarship here, so they could turn our crappy team into a winning one.” Daphne said smiling, as the rest of the students entered the classroom. “Cool, new blood, that’s what we need for that team” said Chris casually. I looked over at her and smiled “Daphne you need a life.” Chris laughed and Daphne smacked me over the head. “Hey!” I shouted even though it never hurt me. “Shut it you drama princess,” she said grinning. I was about to say something when Mrs. Peterson came in. “Sorry guys,” she said quickly she pulled out a yellow folder that contained the morning register; she started to drill out everyone’s name. Mrs. Peterson is a pretty woman, blond hair to her shoulders and blue eyes. She wore a brown suede skirt that stopped at her knees. She had on a fitted white blouse, which complimented her assets, and she had a brown silk scarf around her neck. I stretched my neck and saw a coat draped over the side chair. It was gorgeous. It was burgundy with black buttons all the way down. The coat flowed all the way down to the floor. I always had a habit of checking what each teacher wore, and the way our parents paid for this school I wasn’t ever surprised not to see a teacher wearing their best designer clothes. I was so into her outfit I didn’t even realise that she called my name and that Chris was poking me with a pen. “Ouch!” I screamed startled by the action, I looked around and sheepishly looked down, when I saw everyone looking at me confused. “Okay Mr. Taylor but a simple ‘here Mrs’ will do.” She laughed and continued. I glared at Chris who sat giggling at my expense. “Okay everyone, continue your morning chats,” said Mrs. Peterson. Daphne took her advice and chatted away. I idly fiddled with the sleeve of my coat, half listening to Daphne. A few minutes later Mrs. Peterson called out to the class. “Everyone can I have your attention please?” said Mrs. Peterson All eyes turned and fixated on two boys. I felt myself looking at the most gorgeous human being ever. He was at least ‘6’3’, he had long legs and a defined stomach, and a great package. I moved my eyes upwards to his face; he had a strong square jaw, and a perfect shaped nose. Then I moved to his eyes I felt my breath hitch. They were amazing I had never seen eyes like his. They were hazel with a flicker of green; his hair was a chestnut colour and had a tousled “I just woke up” kind of look. Other than his natural beauty this guy knew how to dress. He had on a pair of stone washed blue Levi jeans that hung in all the perfect places. It was a shame I couldn’t see his ass…just yet. He had on a white jumper that bought out his tan complexion. But I couldn’t help but notice a shell bracelet that circulated his wrist; it was such a pretty bracelet. I forgot about the other boy, but I shifted my gaze just to check him out. He was at least 5’7 he had black hair that had been spiked up, his eyes were almost black, and he had fair skin but not as fair as mine. He was very cute in an adorable kind of way; I could tell that this guy had a big heart. He also had on good clothes. He wore a pair of dark blue DKNY jeans, and a black zipper up jumper, I couldn’t deny it but this guy had some looks too. But my gaze kept on returning to the God that stood next to him. He was a vision and my fingers twitched to draw him. “Boys and girls, I’d like you to meet Brian Kinney and Michael Novotny” Brian looked over at Michael and grinned, Michael returned the grin, and they both averted their eyes towards me, and I stopped breathing.
