Autistic Artist Chapter 6 Surprises (make sure you go back and read chapter 5 if you haven't on here, it's been changed quite a bit.) Brian rushed around his loft in a blur trying to get everything perfect for when Justin came over. He was starting to break a sweat and knew that he needed to sit down before he needed another shower. That would mean him changing clothes and it had already taken an hour to do so earlier. Jacking off had calmed him down very little. His nerves were shot and no matter how many times he fixed the flower arrangement or fluffed the pillows he could not relax. Glancing at the clock Brian felt a lump form in his throat. Less than 10 minutes and Justin would be at his door. Justin was never late, sometimes early so it would possibly be even sooner. He needed to do something to let out his anticipation. Brian went took one last glance around the loft. It was spotless clean and the little surprises he had awaiting Justin were scattered around the loft perfectly. He took a deep breath and walked into the kitchen. He opened the warming skillet of food one more time and smelled the delicious flavours. His mind wandered and he imagined feeding the stir fry to Justin. This sent a thrilling feeling through his body. He needed to scream. He grabbed a nearby dish towel and held it in his mouth and screamed out his nervousness and joy. ‘Okay.’ Brian thought and looked around his loft as if someone might have witnessed his silly display. Relived that he was alone he stepped away from the kitchen and ran his hands down his pants, smoothing the grey linen and taking more deep breaths. A second later Brian heard the buzzer indicating someone was downstairs. ‘Justin!’ His mind concluded enthusiastically. He cleared his throat before going to the intercom. “Yes?” His voice sounded squeaky and he mentally kicked himself. “It’s Justin Brian.” He heard the blonde’s voice was shaky as well. “Come on up.” He pushed the button for the outer door and was happy that this time his voice sounded a little stronger. He again glanced around the loft and quickly went to open the metal sliding door a crack before disappearing into the kitchen to quickly dish the stir fry onto the plates at the dining table. A minute later he heard a soft knock. “Doors open.” He called, pouring white grape fruit juice into the wine glasses at the table. Justin held the folded note that was taped to the outside of the door in one hand and pulled the door open with the other. When he stepped inside the loft his breath caught. There had to be thousands of white rose petals creating paths amongst the hardwood floors. He thought back to what the stationary had said. ‘The first path will lead your taste buds fulfilled. -Brian’ Justin looked down at his feet and there in front of the door was the start of the first path. He turned and shut the door and then started to follow the rose petals to the dining room where he saw Brian standing, looking beautiful, at him. “Hi.” Justin could barely speak; his voice came out as a whisper. He’d never in his life thought that for him anyone would go to the trouble Brian obviously had to make him happy. Dating Brian Kinney had been the highlight of his life. “You look beautiful Justin.” Brian said in awe of the blond. Noticing the blond seemed rooted to his spot he went towards him and was happy when Justin embraced him into a hug and gave him a light peck on the cheek. “Thank you.” Justin said. “Daphne said that I shouldn’t wear sweats tonight. I don’t like to be uncomfortable but jeans are okay I guess.” Justin blushed and pulled at the tight denim around his waist. Brian took a step back from Justin and took the boy’s new look in. “You always look gorgeous Justin. I like the blue sweater too, is it new?” Justin blushed and gave Brian’s stomach a light pat. “You should, you bought it for me. You are right though. Cashmere is mush softer than the Hanes sweats.” Brian laughed. “Do you feel good in what you’re wearing Justin?” Brian asked. He never wanted to make Justin think that he had to dress differently to be with him. It was true that Brian was a label queen but that was personally about him. Justin’s beauty radiated from within and Brian never wanted to stifle that just because Justin wanted to please him by wearing ‘hipper’ clothing. “I do Brian. Don’t worry.” He said. “I think I kind of like these clothes. Daphne said if I asked you might want to help me shop for some more clothes like this.” “Sure Justin, anytime.” Brian smiled. He was pretty sure that Justin had no idea how delectable he looked in the clothing. He wasn’t too sure he wanted the boy to be wearing such tight fitting things everywhere. “So did you read the note?” He asked changing the subject, he really wanted to get the night started. “I did Brian. It was very sweet.” Justin said. “Well take my hand and I’ll lead you down the path.” He said softly. Justin eagerly twined his hand with Brian’s and soon they arrived at the table. “This smells so good. Did you make this?” “I did and thank you.” Brian pulled out Justin’s chair and waited for the younger man to sit down before going to his own seat across from him. Justin noticed that there was another note next to his wine glass and reached for it. “Wait to open that until we’re done with dinner please.” Brian had asked. Justin smiled and nodded and picked up his fork, ready to dig into his meal, the sooner he finished the quicker he could read the next card. “This is so good Brian.” Justin said through a mouth full of food. “Thank you Justin. It’s a seafood stir fry and that in your glass is sparkling white grape juice.” He added with a French accent. “Do you like your first surprise miser?” Justin laughed and took a sip, holding his pink out in good fun. “Oui my dear Brian. It is the best surprise I’ve ever had.” He told the man before going back to the delicious food. Brian smiled. He was happy that Justin seemed to like his surprise and was becoming more confident that the blond would indeed like the others as well.
