Brian moved to the bedroom and dropped his bags. He wondered where Justin was. He came out of the bedroom and started looking for his blond. He found Justin in the backyard playing with Liam. “Hey.” Brian said from the doorway. “Daddy!” Liam screamed as started running towards his father. Justin smiled and walked over to Brian. Brian smiled and walked over to Liam picking him up when he reached his son. “Did you miss me?” Brian asked smiling. “Miss you.” Liam shrieked. “Good.” Brian told him kissing him. “I missed my boys.” Justin smiled and kissed Brian. “When did you get here?” Justin asked. “About three hours ago. I had to stop at the office before I could come here.” Brian told him as the three of them walked inside. “Did you make dinner?” Brian asked. “Nope. We are going to Deb’s.” Justin told him. Brian nodded. “Me goin sue.” Liam said and giggled. “Is he saying he’s going to sue someone?” Brian asked smirking. Justin snorted and shook his head. “My class is going to the zoo. We are going to draw animals.” Justin explained. “I’m taking Liam with me.” “How are you going to draw?” Brian asked. “I’ll take pictures. Plus I can draw from memory.” Justin said. “I’ll go too.” Brian said. “Are you sure?” Justin asked. Brian nodded. “Daddy is going to the zoo!” Brian said. “Sue!” Liam giggled and clapped his little hands. Justin smiled and nodded. “We should get going.” Justin said. Brian nodded and between the two of them got Liam and his things ready. Brian could tell that something was wrong. Justin was looking very tense. He would find sooner or later what was going on with his baby. *** Brian entered their room and sat in the bed. He was so tired. All he wanted was to lose himself in Justin. He looked up as his blond came into the room. He knew that something was bothering the blond and he was going to find what was going on. “I have never eaten so much in my life.” Justin commented. “Yeah, you have.” Brian said smirking. Justin smiled and rolled his eyes. “Are you sure you can get away tomorrow?” Justin asked. “You didn’t have to tell Liam you were coming with us.” “I want to be there.” Brian said and got up. Justin nodded as he started to undress. “I’ll kill two birds with a stone.” Brian said. “Oh. How is that?” Justin asked. “Well, I get to spend time with my family.” Brian said. “And make sure the competition knows you belong to me.” Justin laughed. “You are crazy.” Justin told him as he embraced the brunet. “No one can compete with you.” Brian smiled and kissed Justin. “What’s wrong?” Brian asked when he pulled away. “Nothing.” Justin told him as he undid the buttons on Brian’s shirt. Brian grabbed both of Justin’s hand and stopped him. “Justin, don’t insult me. I know you, baby. I know something is wrong and I want you to tell me.” Brian said. Justin pulled away and sat in the bed. Brian waited, but Justin wasn’t talking. “Baby.” Brian whispered as he sat down next to his blond. Brian grabbed Justin’s head and made the smaller man look at him. He was getting anxious to know why his partner was crying. “Tell me.” Brian demanded. “Mom…Mom said that Dad might get out.” Justin told him. Brian took a deep breath and hugged Justin to him. “I want him to stay locked up…but…I also want to see him.” Justin sobbed. “I still love him.” “Shhh. It’s okay, baby.” Brian assured him. “No!” Justin said pulling away and getting up. “It’s not okay. I should hate him. He locked me up and…he hit me and…god…I was so scared. He’s my father. He was supposed to protect me. I was supposed to be able to count on him.” Brian got up and hugged Justin tightly. He rubbed Justin’s back to make his baby relax a little bit. “I know it’s hard.” Brian whispered. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry he did that to you. I’m sorry I wasn’t there. But you couldn’t control his actions and you can’t control the way you feel. I know it hurts, but there is nothing you can do. If…if you want to see him, you should.” “I’m scared.” Justin said. “Mom said he has changed, but…I…don’t trust him or her.” “I know.” Brian said still holding Justin. Brian didn’t trust Justin’s parents either. It could be true that they were changed but it would take a lot to change Brian and Justin’s minds. *** Lindsay got up from the table and took her plate to the kitchen. She looked at Melanie and wondered what was wrong with her partner. “Mel, is everything okay? You barely ate.” Lindsay pointed out. Melanie put her fork down and looked up at Lindsay. “We have to talk.” Melanie told her. Lindsay frowned and sat down. She pulled her chair a little closer to the brunette. “What’s wrong?” “I was thinking about having a kid.” Melanie said. “What do you mean?” Lindsay asked frowning. “We could ask someone else. Like Ted or Michael.” Melanie said. Lindsay shook her head. “I know that Brian said no, but I think he will change his mind soon.” Lindsay said. “Linds.” Melanie protested. “He has a family.” Lindsay rolled her eyes and started pouting. “I think Michael would be great.” Melanie suggested. “I don’t know.” Lindsay said. “I don’t think so. I don’t want to talk about this.” Melanie watched her go and made up her mind. She would ask either Ted or Michael and would have a child even if she had to get pregnant herself. *** Jennifer and Molly looked at each other as they heard the bell. They knew who it was. “Aren’t you going to get it, Mom?” Molly asked. Jennifer nodded and got up. She opened the door and stared at Craig. Craig smiled and hugged his wife and twirled her around. Jennifer smiled at Craig when he put her down. “I’m so happy to be here.” Craig told her and then looked at Molly. “Come here, baby girl.” Molly took a deep breath and got up. She walked to her father and let him hug her. “I missed you.” Craig told her. Molly nodded. “We missed you too.” Jennifer said. “Don’t talk for the both of us.” Molly told her. Craig frowned but didn’t say anything. “I have to go. I have homework to do.” Molly said. Molly turned around and went to her room. Jennifer took a deep breath not sure what to say. “So, I’m home.” Craig muttered. Jennifer nodded. “Does Justin know?” Craig asked taking a deep breath. “Yeah. I told him.” Jennifer said. “Is he doing okay?” Craig asked. “Yeah. He and Brian come around sometimes and take Molly out. Liam is getting really big.” Jennifer told him frowning. “They don’t let me see him much.” “Does he look like Justin?” Craig asked. “Well, he has his eyes and his skin.” Jennifer said. “Everything else is pure Brian.” Craig nodded. “But Liam is like Justin was. They have the same temperament.” Jennifer said smiling. “I wish I could see him.” Craig said. “He is pregnant again.” Jennifer said. “He is?” Craig asked. Jennifer nodded. “You should talk to him.” Jennifer suggested. “I doubt very much that Justin wants to hear from me.” Craig said. “You never know until you try. I know it won’t be easy. And once you get him to talk to you, he may still be cold and distant around you, but it’s a start.” Jennifer told him. Jennifer knew how hard it had been for her to make Justin talk to her. Even now, Justin was remote towards her, but she had hope that one day her son would let her in again, would trust her again. Craig nodded hearing his wife’s words and thought that he would try talking to his son. *** Michael looked at Melanie like she was crazy. “You want me to what?” Michael asked. “To be the father of my baby.” Melanie told him. “Does Lindsay know about this?” Michael asked. “I talked to her about it.” Melanie whispered. “I thought you couldn’t have kids.” Michael told her. “I’m taking care of that.” Melanie informed him. “I’ve talked to my doctor and he assures me that I am going to be able to if everything goes as planned.” Michael nodded and thought about it. “I have to talk with Chris about this.” Michael said. “Oh, I understand.” Melanie assured him. “Wow.” Michael said. “I’m honored…I guess.” Melanie smiled. “Thank you for listening to me.” Melanie said getting up. “I have to go back to work.” Michael nodded. “I’ll call you and let you know.” Michael told her as he walked her out of the apartment. Melanie kissed him on the cheek and left. Michael closed the door and leaned against it. He had a lot to think about. *** Cynthia and Brian were walking from the conference room to Brian’s office. “You have a meeting at two with Jason Kramer.” Cynthia told him and looked at her boss. “Are you okay?” Brian nodded. “Okay…meeting at two.” Cynthia whispered as she looked at her agenda. “After that there isn’t anything else pressing…” “God.” Brian mumbled as he fell down. “Brian!” Cynthia started screaming. “Oh my god. Someone help me!” Cynthia got down on her knees and rolled Brian onto his back. She put her head on his chest and sighed with relief as she heard his heart beat. “Oh my. Help!” Cynthia yelled once more. Two guys came running down the hall when they heard Cynthia. They pulled Brian up and took him to his office after she instructed them. She dialed 911 and then called Justin. She didn’t know what the hell was going on. She just hoped that Brian was okay. *** “I’m fine!” Brian roared. “Fucking hell!” “He looks okay to me.” One of the paramedics said. “What caused this?” Cynthia asked. “Is it something we have to worry about?” Ryder asked. Brian rolled his eyes. He knew exactly what it was. Someone knocked on the door and then opened the door. “There is someone out there that says he is your partner. Blond kid.” The security guy said. Brian nodded. “Maybe it’s stress.” The second paramedic said. “You should go see a doctor as soon as possible.” “Brian!” Justin said running towards Brian. “Are you okay?” “Yes.” Brian grunted. “I’m fucking fine.” “I was so scared.” Justin said. “Did you eat?” “I fucking ate.” Brian told him losing his patience. The two paramedics looked at each other and shook their head. How anyone could stand Brian was beyond them. That is until they saw Justin handling Brian. “Do not fucking raise your voice at me.” Justin grunted. “I was worried about you. Cynthia called me and told me you fainted. You need to stop working so hard, Brian.” “It’s nothing.” Brian told him. “My blood pressure is fine. I’m relaxed.” “It was kind of high.” The first paramedic said. Brian glared at him. “The same thing happened to me with Liam’s pregnancy, Brian. Remember? I was working hard when I should have been resting.” Justin said. “I don’t want anything happening to you or the baby.” “What?” Ryder asked. “Oh my god.” Cynthia exclaimed. “You are pregnant.” Justin looked from Ryder and Cynthia to Brian and glared. He was mad with the brunet. The brunet had promised him that he would let Ryder know he was pregnant so he wouldn’t be expected to work so hard. “Well, that explains it. You should take it easy from now on.” The second, older paramedic said. “I’ll make sure he will.” Justin said dryly, looking at the paramedics who were picking up their stuff to leave. “I’m going back to school. You and I will talk at home.” Brian took a deep breath and watched his blond go. He knew he was in trouble. He looked at Cynthia who was smiling like a fool and Ryder who didn’t look too happy. He really was in trouble. *** Brian and Justin had been walking around in circles around the store just looking at stuff. Brian was the one that stopped in the cribs’ section and started looking around. Justin just followed him. “Do you like this?” Brian asked as he ran his hands along one of the baby cribs they were looking at. Justin looked at the white crib and nodded. “We can get two of the same. It would be as if they were twins.” Brian told him. “I like that.” Justin told him. Brian took a deep breath. “Justin. Are you still mad at me?” Brian asked. “I said I was sorry. I’m going to take it easy. Ryder was pissed if that’s any consolation.” “Why was he pissed?” Justin asked. “He knows that eventually I’m going to take a pregnancy leave and he can’t fire me and still has to pay me. He loses his top ad exec for a while. He was pissed. He started ranting about how I said when I started working there that he would have me at his beck and call whenever. I hadn’t met the lovely blond who turned my life upside down then.” Brian explained. Justin smirked. “Is that a smile that I see?” Brian asked as he snaked his arms around Justin’s waist. “I am taking it easy, baby. I really am.” Justin nodded and placed his arms around Brian’s neck. He smiled broadly and then kissed his brunet. “Mmm, I like this.” Brian said. “We should go back home.” “We can’t, Bri. We’ll never buy anything.” Justin told him as he nibbled on Brian’s neck. “I’m sure there is a restroom around here.” “I like how your mind works.” Brian told him. Justin smirked and pulled back. He took Brian’s hand and they kept looking around at the baby stuff as they headed to the restroom to take care of a few things. *** “She asked you what?” Chris asked. Michael took a deep breath. “I always wanted to be a father.” Michael told him. “What about us?” Chris asked. “What do you mean?” Michael asked. “I always thought we would get married and have a kid.” Chris said looking away. “I didn’t know that.” Michael said. Chris shrugged. “Do whatever you want, Mike. It’s your life…your sperm.” Chris told him. “You don’t mind?” Michael asked. Chris shrugged and shook his head. Michael nodded and gave Chris a little smile. He knew his boyfriend minded a lot, so he would have to tell Melanie that she needed to find someone else. *** Justin was sitting down at his home studio when the phone rang. He picked it up quickly and answered. “Hello.” Justin said. “Hello, Justin.” Craig said. Justin sucked in all the air he could and didn’t let it go. “Are you there?” Craig asked after a few seconds. “Yeah.” Justin said breathing out. “I just wanted to let you know that I am home.” Craig said. “Yeah. Mom, told me.” Justin said. “She called me yesterday.” Craig nodded. “How you been?” Craig asked. “Excellent.” Justin told him. “That’s good to hear, son.” Craig told him. “Don’t call me that.” Justin told him. “You are still my son.” Craig said. Justin took a deep breath. “I guess you remember that when you want to.” Justin spat out. “I know…I know that what I did was wrong. I thought I was doing the right thing. I was so mad, Justin. I was so…disappointed.” Craig told him. Justin’s eyes watered. “I was disappointed in you too.” Justin told him. “Here I thought I could count on you…but you showed me I couldn’t.” “I’m so sorry.” Craig told him. “Whatever. I have to go.” Justin said. “I want to see Liam.” Craig said. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Justin told him. “Please, Justin.” Craig told him. “I…I’ll think about it.” Justin said and then hung up. Justin tried to concentrate on what he was doing but couldn’t. He couldn’t stop running the call he received from his father in his mind over and over again. He knew he needed to talk to the man, he just didn’t know if he was ready to confront him again.
