“Oh Fuck, yeah.” Brian said as Justin’s mouth engulfed his rock hard erection. Justin chuckled around his mouthful causing Brian to moan and arch his back at the vibration. It had been like this since Brian had come home from work. John had left with his Father, Burke, Sr., for a father/son fun night right after school. Brian had been anticipating their night alone all week and when Brian walked in the door he’d attacked Justin’s lips ushering the younger man up the stairs and into their bedroom. They were naked and writhing against each other within seconds of entering the bedroom and Brian was buried deep within Justin only seconds after that. It was nearly one in the morning now and they were just starting to wind down. Justin continued his ministrations loving the sounds he was eliciting from his lover. Justin looked up when Brian tangled his hand in his hair. Brian stared at his young lover intensely eyes clouded with lust and need and love. Justin couldn’t hold out. He doubled his efforts gently rolling Brian’s balls squeezing them ever so gently. Soon Brian closed his eyes, arched his back and climaxed shooting deeply into Justin’s mouth as Justin tried swallowed every drop. “Holy fuck.” Brian panted. “That was – Whew.” Brian then tried to pull Justin up into a kiss but the younger man resisted. Brian looked down at the top of Justin’s head confused. He again tried to pull him up to no avail. Justin was still squeezing Brian’s sac gently in his hand. “You got it all, Sunshine.” Brian said grinning. “Nothing more in them.” He smiled then a once more tried to pull Justin up to him. “Brian stop.” Justin said his voice suddenly serious. “What?” Brian said looking down at Justin quizzically. “I thought I felt -.” Justin trailed off. “Felt what?” Brian asked starting to get frustrated by his lover’s unusually serious behavior. “There.” Justin said sounding stunned. “Brian, it’s a lump.” Brian frowned. “I can feel a lump on your left testicle.” Brian stared at Justin in disbelief for several seconds before moving his own hand down to investigate. Sure enough there it was. A lump. About the size of small pea. He met Justin concerned gaze a surprised expression on his face. “What the fuck?” Brian breathed. The rest of the night was tense. Brian and Justin tried to sleep, but did nothing but toss and turn. At five o’clock, Brian finally got up and went toward the couch. Justin pulled himself out of bed and followed. He found Brian sitting in front of the muted TV. Without a word, Justin slid into Brian’s lap and laid his head on Brian’s shoulder. Brian pulled Justin impossibly closer as they sat quietly watching the silent images on the screen. -- Brian was on the phone when Burke, Sr. dropped John off at the house around lunchtime. Justin was sitting looking anxiously at Brian. “Hey, Uncle Bri. Hey, Justin.” John shouted as he walked into the kitchen. He stopped when he saw their twin expressions of concern. “What’s wrong?” He asked. Justin lifted a finger as if to say, just a minute. John shrugged and set his backpack down on the floor by the table. As if coming out of a dream, Justin looked to John and asked, “Where’s your Dad? Didn’t he come in with you?” “Oh, no.” John said. “He has to be at work soon, so he couldn’t stay.” “Oh, okay.” Justin said. “What’s wrong, Justin?” John asked again. “Wait for your Uncle to get off the phone.” Justin said nodding in Brian’s direction. John listened to the one-sided conversation his Uncle was having trying to decipher what was going on. “Yes.” Brian said then paused listening. “Friday at 3:10. That’ll be good. Yes, I can.” To John it sounded like the conversation’s his mother used to have when making a doctor’s appointment. He frowned. Brian then hung up the phone and turned to John. John looked at him expectantly silently hoping that his Uncle had more sense than to try and lie to him. “That was my doctor.” Brian explained. “He’s setting me up to see an oncologist. Do you know what an oncologist is?” John shook his head. Brian took a deep breath. “An oncologist is a doctor that specializes in the study of tumors.” “Why’d you call him?” John asked confused. “Last night Justin found a lump on my testicle.” John’s mouth dropped. Cancer. His uncle was telling him he had cancer. He dropped his arms to his sides. “Cancer?” He finally managed. “You have cancer?” Brian nodded pressing his lips together unsure of what to say. “Fuck.” John swore. “You, too.” Tears welled in the boy’s eyes. Brian pulled John into a hug as John’s tears slid silently down his cheeks. “I’ll be all right.” Brian said softly into John’s hair. “You don’t know that.” John said his voice muffled by Brian’s shirt. “I do know that.” Brian said lifting John’s face up to his. “I have to believe it. We all do.” John buried his face in Brian shirt again hugging Brian tightly. Brian heard Justin sniff and looked to the chair the other man was sitting in. Justin had tears in his eyes as well. Brian reached out to cup Justin’s cheek. Justin leaned into his hand as a single tear escaped making its way slowly down to the tip of Brian’s thumb. “I’ll be all right, Sunshine.” Justin nodded. Brian then pulled him into the hug as well. “I will.” End chapter one.
