Here's chappy two. Once again, my sleep cycle is pretty much non existent and I keep writing "she" instead of "he." Either that or my keyboard is whacked. Oh well, cheers! P.S. Sorry it took a while to type out, I've been watching the QAF from the U.K.....its so different! Not completely, but dang, I really love the USA one more! :P - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “Where are we going?” Brian asked as Michael took a detour from going straight home after school. “We gotta get gas.” Michael pulled into the parking lot and got out to pump the gas. He searched in his pocket for a credit card and realized he must have left them at home. He knocked on the passenger window to get Brian’s attention “You have cash on you?” “Yeah…you forget your plastic again?” “My bad,” Michael gave him a “sympathetic” glance. Brian got out, slamming the car door behind himself and went into the mini mart part of the gas station to pay. He was frustrated that they had to stop, and now that he had to get out to pay. He just wanted to get home. His day had sucked and he wanted to take a nap. But, as he was standing in line, he heard a familiar voice. “Gum?” “Nooo, but that back,” Justin said to Niko “Gum pweeaseeee!!” “Niko, no. I don’t have anymore money,” He took the pack from Niko’s small hand and set it back on the shelf. Niko crossed his arms and roared like a lion at his dad. Justin ignored him and paid for the gas. Brian stared at the two from the other side of the store. He couldn’t help himself, he walked over to the other line where they were standing. “Aye, lil’ man, you like gum?” Brian asked, bending down so he was eye level with the small child. “Gum my favbrite!” “No way! Mine too.” “I…I wike buuuee gum!” “Blue gum huh? Well I have an idea…. how about you get yourself a pack of that blue gum with this quarter?” Brian offered reaching into his pocket and pulling out the silver piece. “Really!?” “One condition…” “Whats an adition?”, asked the little boy with a quizzical look on his face. “It means I give you a quarter to get your gum and you give me the wrapper when you open it so your daddy can write his phone number on it for me.” “Ha! Nice try,” Justin sarcastically laughed as he took the Niko’s hand and walked out to the parking lot. A few minutes later it was Justin who heard the familiar voice. “Hey Taylor…I like the view from back here,” Brian snuck up behind Justin who was bending down to buckle Niko into his car seat. “Ugh, you again?” “What’s your deal? I’m harmless…you gimme your number, we kick back, chill and you help me study-”, Justin cut him off before he could even finish his proposal. “First of all…you don’t pick up guys by bribing little kids. Second of all I don’t chat it up with random dudes so if you’ll excuse me I have somewhere to be.” Brian grabbed his arm, ready to make his final plea. As much as he was attracted to him there was still half of him that needed to pass this class. “Look, I really need to pass this shit. You are really smart. Nobody else in the class seems to get every thing and you do. I just want you to study with me… nothing else”. Justin sighed. Just study. He just wants to study. He pondered for a minute silently inside of his head. “Fine. My place though, tonight 8:30.” Justin wrote his address on the back of his hand and then got into the car. Brian knocked on the window and he rolled it down halfway. “Give this to your kid,” Brian handed him a pack of blue gum before walking back to Mikey’s car. ________________________________________________________ -later that night- “Where are you going?” Frankie yelled from the living room when he heard Brian coming down the stairs. “Out.” “Where’s out? Can you take me and my friends to the mall?” “Sorry ask Mikey. I’m going to study.” “I hope you mean chemistry, Brian. Because if I get one more F with your name on it you won’t see the light of day-“ Joan scolded. “For the rest of my life,” Brian mumbled under his breath. “Who you studying with?” Michael asked walking into the conversation. “Justin Taylor.” “Ooohh you mean the teen DILF,” Michael raised his eyebrows over dramatically. Instead of MILF (mom I’d like to fuck) he’d replaced the ‘M’ with a ‘D’ – ‘ dad I’d like to fuck.’ “Excuse me?” Joan looked around the room until her gaze met Brian’s. “What? He’s smart. Anything to pass chemistry, right? I’m leaving, your staring at me.” _________________________________________________________ -at Justin’s house- Justin was picking up scattered toys and placing them into their storage bins on the side of the livingroom. He wanted the place to look decent for Brian. “I can’t believe you have one of those obnoxious sad excuses for a hot guy coming over,” Kelsey said into the phone “He asked me to study. I felt kinda bad, I couldn’t say no after he damn near stalked me down at the gas station. Its just chem. Nothing more. Don’t make something out of nothing.” “Well good luck you probably will want to slit your throat by the end of the end,” Kelsey giggled at her own joke. “Shit there goes my doorbell, I’ll call you back after he leaves.” Justin smoothed his ruffled hair out in the hallway mirror as he passed it on his way to the door. He took a deep breath and reminded himself, “He is only here to study. He’s harmless. Nothing to be afraid of. Studying doesn’t require personal conversation. Let him assume whatever he wants. It’s a one time study session.” He opened the door to find Brian standing there casually dressed in jeans, a black t-shirt with an fcuk hoodie jacket over it, and clean white tennis shoes. “Hey, did you find your way ok?” Justin stepped aside so he could walk inside “Yeah, no problem at all.” Brian said looking around the house “Where are you parents?” “Oh…my moms away. She…..works a lot. Goes on trips and shit. My dad, their divorced. I don’t hear from him much,” Justin nervously tripped over his question. “Mine too. They split two years ago. Shitty but what can you do?” Brian sympathized. “Yeah….soooo did you bring your book?” “Dammit! I knew I forgot something” Brian smacked his forehead as he fell back onto the couch Justin laughed at his stupidity. This should be an interesting night. “Wait here and I’ll grab mine.” He disappeared up into the room and grabbed his book bag. On his way back down he stopped at Niko’s door to check in on him, “Please, please, stay sleeping” he silently prayed. As long as he stayed out of the way there shouldn’t be anymore awkward questions, just studying, Justin tried to reassure himself. “I used to love these when I was a kid!” Brian excitedly held up a transformer of Niko’s Justin felt his heart rise in his throat, “Yeah they're Niko’s favorite….sooo I thought we would go over the abbreviations first. I’ll give you a metal or chemical and so on and you tell me back what the abbreviation for it is. Its really just memorizing it but it helps to have someone quiz you.” “Sounds good to me,” Brian answered and Justin took a seat across from him on the couch. They spent two hours going over and over different questions until Justin could tell he was getting frustrated. “You’re doing really well, it’s just, a lot to learn in one night since you haven’t really tried all week,” Justin said trying to explain without offending him. “I know. I didn’t realize it was going to be like this. Can we take a short break? I’m starving.” “Sure.” “Do you have a takeout book?” “Umm…yeah, but I don’t have any money on me I-“ Brian cut him off, “No its my treat it’s the least I can do with you helping me with all this.” Justin came back and handed him a book filled with take out places. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed a pizza place, ordering a large cheese pizza. “15 minutes. Let’s go over them again until it gets here,” he said. He watched Justin’s mouth move as he asked him questions. His lips looked so soft, so sexy. He wondered how they would feel like against his own. Brian was so deep in thought that he didn’t even notice he was inching closer towards him. Without even thinking he shifted his face closer to Justin’s and went to kiss him. Before either of them had time to react they were startled by the ring of the doorbell. Justin cleared his throat as they both walked to the door. Brian handed the delivery man a $20 bill and told him to keep the change. They went into the kitchen to get drinks and sat at the table to eat. “Do you mind if I ask you a question?” Justin looked at Brian with curiosity “Shoot.” “How come you never pay attention in class? You’re not stupid. You get this stuff. If you would just try even if it was only half of the time you wouldn’t have any trouble at all.” Brian shrugged, “I don’t know. I never have taken school seriously.” “People will like you regardless if you goof around in class or not. To be honest, it gets kind of obnoxious. I had such a stuck up impression of you but I’m sure you don’t care because that’s only my opinion.” Before Brian could defend himself they were both interrupted by Niko’s screaming and crying. Justin gave him an apologetic glance and got up to go upstairs. “Did you have a bad dream?” Niko jumped into Justin’s arms and buried his face in his shoulder. “You’re okay. Shhhh….lets go get you a drink so you can calm down,” he carried him down into the kitchen where Brian was still sitting eating. He set him on the counter and got a sippy cup out of the cupboard and filled it with milk. Justin wiped Niko’s teary eyes with his sleeve before handing him the cup. “How about you lay down on the couch? And I promise I will be right here across the hall in the kitchen?” Niko nodded his head and he carried him into the living room. He cleared off the couch, lying him down. As soon as he covered him up with a blanket he closed his eyes. Justin took his chemistry stuff into the kitchen. “I’m really sorry about that. He should be okay in there if we just study in here.” “No prob. Don’t worry about it.” Brian said as he threw his plate in the garbage “How old were you? “Excuse me?” “When he was born….how old were you?” Brian repeated. Justin’s throat was dry. He didn’t want to tell him about how Niko’s other father discarded him at a moment’s notice, the year he was pregnant…nothing at all. It was complicated, and painful for him to remember. Besides, he wouldn’t understand anyways. What did he know about having a hard life? Justin decided it was better to stick to simple, suggestible answers. “Fifteen.” “Wow…I mean oh…” Brian quickly corrected himself. “Is it hard? I mean do you ever get any time to yourself? Do you ever go out?” “Not really. When I’m not in school I’m working and when I’m not working I’m with Niko.” “Where do you work?” “Do you always ask so many questions?” Justin defensively snapped. “Sorry, just trying to get to know you.” After an awkward pause they resumed studying. Even though Brian was answering the questions, his mind was elsewhere. It all made sense to him now. Justin didn’t go out with guys from school because he didn’t have time; he wasn’t really the bitch they all said he was. He was so misunderstood, Justin thought. Why did Brian feel the need to play up to the image everybody had given him? He seems like such a nice guy, not to mention absolutely gorgeous. “Oh wow I didn’t even realize it was 11:30,” Brian was surprised when he looked up at the clock, “I need to get going before my mom flips out.” “If you just keep going over this stuff you should do great on the test,” Justin assured him. “Thanks, I really appreciate you taking the time out to do this with me.” Brian said as they were standing at the door. “Don’t mention it….I’ll see you tomorrow” “Night,” Brian lightly kissed him on the cheek and walked out to his car. “Shit, I’m never going to make curfew”…. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Reviews are nice
