Happy Valentine's to one and all of our beloved QAF family.  I was listening to some of my favorite old rock & roll songs a few weeks ago and when the Sam Cooke song, 'Cupid' came on, this story was suddenly born in my head.  I hope you will enjoy this little trip into a fantasy world as Cupid tells the assembled gods and goddesses of Mount Olympus all about his greatest challenge while doing his job.  I owe a great deal of gratitude to my darling granddaughter, Marika, for the lovely banner and my talented beta, Judy, for her terrific skills.  Hope you all have nothing but love on Valentine's Day and all year round.

Justin Taylor is a brilliant young journalist working for the same publication and Brian's life partner.  During their ongoing search for new, interesting items to write about, Brian sends Justin to meet with Vic Grassi, who was one of the prominent figures of gay life in the Pitts in the 1970's and 1980's.  Justin is somewhat reluctant to take the assignment at first, but after he learns more about Vic and his fascinating life story —as well as his special bond with Brian — he's more inspired than ever before.

“Oh,” Brian stuttered, and Justin could have sworn he was blushing a little. “I was bored earlier, killing time while I was waiting for the mock-ups, and it showed up on some web page, so I started reading it.” 

“And? The verdict?” Justin prompted, his tone teasing. 

“I didn’t get far,” Brian muttered. “I’m sure it’s a bunch of bullshit.”

Post 513) Brian and Justin begin a new chapter in their lives. I'm affectionately calling this the lost episodes of Season 5.

Here I go with my first multi-chaptered story in over 3 years.  I really hope you will enjoy it.  Some time ago someone suggested the idea of turning around the series plot involving the Prom bashing 180 degrees, and then seeing what might have happened if it was Brian who was Hobbs' victim rather than Justin.  I found the idea intriguing, so I'm going with it.  Of course there will be drama and angst, but just remember how my stories end up and take heart.  So without delay, here is the beginning of a whole new light on the love story of Brian and Justin.
