I'm a writer (and a ridiculous romantic) at heart. The Queer as Folk Fandom has always been a huge source of inspiration. My main genre is hurt/ comfort, but I like a laugh now and then so I also make the odd attempt at humour as well :-)

Poor Miguel- I love that boy! I can't wait until Jake finds out (he is gonna find out, isn't he?). I love Jake and Miguel's relationship so much; you've written it so well. And I'd be interested to see how Chris takes the news that Alex was abused by his father...This story is such a great read :)

Author's Response: Yes, I'll deal with them telling their stories.  I'm glad you like this story, Sapphire.  Thanks for commenting, Hugs, Rena

They are SO sweet together! I love how much they care for each other.  I still have to say the Miguel is my favorate, so I'm so glad he has Alex's shoulder to cry on. And Jake's. Please take care of him :) I adore this story ;)

Author's Response: Thank you so much Sapphire!  I don't know if I can pick a favorite character, but I do adore Miguel.  I promise that Jake, Justin, Chris, Brian, and Alex will all take care of Miguel and each other.  Hugs, Rena

Thanks J That chapter did a lot for entertaining my ridiculous Miguel fetish (I think it might be the fact that he has curly blonde hair…) How could Jake ever doubt his 'little mouse'? I hope we’ll be hearing more about these two…(please?) Great chapter!

Author's Response: Hey Sapphire!  You have a Miguel fetish?  You too, huh? *grins* I'm sure you'll hear more from them.  Hugs, Rena

It must have been hard for Chris not to just take Alex in his arms and tell him everything would be OK. Good thing he understands Alex so well. I have to admit that I missed the significance of the whip- did Alex want it used on him to help him forget? Is that what he meant when it said ‘make it stop’? Sorry- I guess I missed the boat on that one ;) Anyway, great chapter!

Author's Response: Hey Sapphire!  No you didn't miss the boat at all...that's exactly what Alex meant and what he wanted.  Yes, Chris does understand Alex and he acted the only way that Alex would accept...at that moment in time.  Thanks for commenting!  Hugs, Rena

Hey Rena. I love this universe- I was hooked from the first time I read 'Leather Bound'. I hope maybe you'll come back to it one day. My ultimate dream would be to read a story based on Jake and Miguel- these are such intriuging characters! Anyway, I'll look forward to whatever you will share with us next ;) Thanks!

Author's Response: Hey Sapphire,  I'm glad you enjoyed my Bound series...well so far. *grins*  I have been thinking of writing a story based on the original characters.  I will definitely get around to doing that one day.  Thanks for all your support.  Hugs, Rena

Return To Me.. by Gina Marie Rated: NC-18 [Reviews - 158]

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

This is a sequel to Before There Was You, There Was You.   We left our boys in the last story together, happy with seven, yes SEVEN, children!  (Peter and Johnny, his late sisters’ Claire’s children whom he and Justin adopted. Jagger and Lizzy, Brian’s orphaned cousins who they also adopted.  Gus of course, and the twins, Maria and Andy that he and Justin fathered through a surrogate.)   This story picks up five years from the end of BTWYTWY. Our boys are about to have an unexpected adventure.  When life throws them a curveball will they be able to bounce back? Or will it take Divine intervention to bring our boys back together. There are many supporting characters from BTWYTWY that will be making appearances in this story. And some new one’s I’ll be introducing.  I hope you all enjoy!

Your writing is beautiful, Gina Marie ;) Even without the intriguing storyline, your words just draw me in. I really love the way you wrote Jagger's thoughts at the begining of the chapter- amazing characterization!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for that wonderful compliment Sapphire!  It means more than you can imagine, coming from you. You're a writer with extrodaniry talent and vision. It's an honor that you enjoy my writing.

I'm having fun with the jagger character. I picture him as being a mixture of Justin's enthusiatic impulsiveness, and Brian's stubborn jaddeness.

It will be interesting to see where my muse takes thier relationship.

The dinner scene is next. It should be fun. I hope you enjoy it!

This is truly an incredible story. The plot is so mesmerizing it just draws me in- I love the intricacy and the way you tie everything together (I’m so intrigued by the ‘June 6th’ curse’…). I’m sorry your RL is a bit unsettled now (I can sympathise ;)), but I’m glad you can find the sanctity in writing this that I find in reading it. Thank you!

Author's Response:

Thank you Sapphire!  The storyline is a bit complicated, I hope the readers can follow along.  There is more to the lineage, more clues in the  curse itself as to why it's not over yet, and a mystery that ties Andy into all of this.

Thank you so much for commenting!  And thank you for understanding about RL   -  I always look forward to one of your updates!

stories/10/images/AllsFairinLoveandWar.jpg

It is the Winter of 1944 in occupied France. The allies have landed and slowly, so slowly, made their attempt to push to the borders of Germany. Sergeant Brian Kinney is too busy trying to keep his men alive and do his duty to worry about anything else, much less a personal life. Every thing changes one day when one of his men, recently killed in an ambush, is replaced with a raw new recruit, Private Justin Taylor. The kid looks like he's barely out of High School and totally wet behind the ears. The Sarge is not happy, especially when without warning Sergeant Kinney finds himself fighting a different kind of war than the one on the battlefield. I am dedicating this story to my 83 year old Dad who served bravely and honorably in WWII and the Vietnam War. I am also dedicating this story to all the GLBT men and women who also served with honor, but in silence throughout history. Many thanks go to the amazing Eka for her brilliant banner and to my friend Pat for her beta skills.

Hey, I'm so glad to see this story back! It's really very good- I love how you're keeping it so true to the times! I can't wait to see what's going to happen next...it sounds promising!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your comments Sapphire.  It is especially gratifying to know that you like how much I try to keep my stories consistent with whatever the time period and events are that I'm writing about.  That is very important to me.  I want my Brian and Justin to be real people with real lives.  I can promise an interesting night for our boys in the next chapter so stay tuned.  Grammy

Yay! Finally our boys get some 'alone (very hot) time'! I guess now they might carry out a secret love affair?? (Yes, I am a hopeless romantic ;). I love this story. Thanks!

Author's Response: Don't feel alone Sapphire.  I'm an incurable hopeless romantic and have been for over 50 years...and I'm darned proud of it.   My stories probably gave you a clue to that fact.  LOL!  Of course, this being the era it is the affair will have to be secret, but love cannot be stopped.  Hope you continue to enjoy where the story leads us.  Thanks so much for your comments.  Hugs, Grammy

Aimee's story about her young friend is so sad, but it was so true of the times. If only more people saw things her way. At least Brian and Justin can really trust her. Another wonderful chapter! Love protective Brian ;) Thanks!! P.S.- You're not alone in your review issues- I somehow managed to end up with a negative number of reviews for the last update of my story. Hmm... ;)

Author's Response: I'm so glad your review came through Sapphire.  I was so scared to try posting this new chapter.  I was sure something would go wrong.  Thank heavens it didn't cause I hate the thought of not keeping my promise to keep my stories updated as often as possible.  It is not fair to loyal readers.  You are the fourth person who has mentioned having some problems on MW.  Hopefully it is simply some bugs that can be easily exterminated.  A day without MW is a day without Sunshine for a lot of us.  Btw, I agree with you on the story of the English lad.  I know that homosexuality was illegal in England during this time and very common for those caught to be imprisoned.  I knew that it would be really hard on a very young man.  I'm glad you like a protective Brian cause he will have lots of cause to be so in the future chapters.  Thanks again for your wonderful review.  Hugs, Grammy

I really like this. It says so much and it's so beautifully written. My favorite line is 'they can't possibly reach the inner core of him'. It's really powerful. Thanks so much for sharing!

Author's Response: Thank you for the wonderful review. Glad you enjoyed it! But it really wrote itself.

Wow. No one writes a sex scene like you ;-) I love the interconnectedness between Brian and Justin. Brian's uncertainly is so believable, too- and such an appealing contrast to the assuredness he shows Justin. I love Emmett in this, too. Wonderful story! Thanks so much for writing!

Author's Response:

I am glad you like the dynamics between the characters and I like Emmett in this too, hugs Rena.

Oh my God, I loved this! I came looking for 'Roughing It' and had to check this one out first. I loved that it was so unapologetic and so real. What it would really have been like. I fell sometimes that Brian's cancer in canon was almost an excuse for something, rather than a life-altering, gut-wrenchingly frightening experience it would have been in reality. And God forbid, it should have made Brian any less beautiful. I love that you look that extra step and pushed that boundary to explore what might have happened. The love between Justin and Brian - the *tough* love and the ultimate trust — is so poignant at the end. I just loved this. Amazing writing. Thank you so much for sharing!

Author's Response:

Hello, Sweetheart!  So great to see you reading this one!  Thank you for the fabulous feedback; I am honored that you liked it!  This was a very short one compared to what I usually write - LOL!  But it just came to me one night and I had to write it down.  I can't think of anyone else that Brian would have entrusted with this task.  Too often on the show I think a lot of these types of 'comfort-requiring' scenes (ex: his father's death and funeral) were left to Michael to handle, when I think it should have been Justin.  So perhaps this was my way of rectifying that.:)

I'm so glad that you liked this one - I consider that high praise coming from such a gifted writer as yourself.:)  Thank you again for reading and for the wonderful feedback.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim
