It's hard to think of bottomless pit Justin being anorixious.  But with Brian to back him up he'll come through.

Great epilogue. If you want to keep the story going, I think we would all love that. If not, we know that things are going good for our favorite "boys".

Author's Response:

I'm very glad you liked this epilogue :-) I didn't write any more in this series, but I have another story, "The Temptation of Snakes", in which Brian develops orthorexia (and ED in which the victim becomes obsessed with 'healthy' eating). You might like that one, if you haven't read it already. Thanks again for reading, and for your lovely reviews!

Thanks for giving us closure with this epilogue. I knew with Brian's support, Justin would find his way.

Author's Response:

Thanks ;-) I'm so glad you enjoyed the epilogue. It provided closure, without necessarily a happy ending. Justin still has a long way to go in this universe, but he is very lucky to have Brian as his moral support :-) Thanks again for reading and for your wonderful review!

First: "The early morning sunlight was of that delicate, rosy hue associated exclusively with midwinter, as the ephemeral sun crept along the horizon."

That there is some mind blowing beautiful writing. The story itself was far above the typical. This was some epilogue.

I wondered about time Brian spent away from Gus. It had to be difficult for Brian to spend time with Justin in New York and Gus in Cananda, and on top of that, Justin needed him at times. Wouldn't Justin have felt guilty about that.

I loved Brian's analogy of "It's a Wonderful Life" to explain his feelings about the course life had taken them both. It WAS enlightening.

Author's Response:

Thanks Sandra *hugs* I'm really glad you liked the reference to 'Wonderful Life' - the whole idea of the course and direction of life and fate has always intrigued me :-) Would Justin have felt guilty that Brian was having to spend time with him instead of with Gus? Perhaps. I suppose the difference is that Justin could always come to Pittsburgh if he needed Brian, but Gus didn't have that option. It would have been hard on Brian, for sure, but I always see Brian as someone who is able to 'roll with the punches' and to always seem to make things work. (Wasn't it Melanie who called him 'Mr. Teflon'?) I guess the situation isn't ideal for Brian, Justin or Gus, but it wouldn't be forever. Things can always change. Life can always change :-)

Thanks so much for reading, as always, and for your lovely and insightful comments *hugs* I treasure them all :-)

I'm so glad you wrote this--I loved 'A Moment on the Lips' and it's great to see that Justin is doing better. :)

Author's Response: Thanks :-) I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed this story, as well as 'A Moment on the Lips'. Justin is doing a lot better here, and is on the road to recovery- he and Brian both :-) Thanks again for reading and for your wonderful review!

Hi Honey

This was a nice Christmas bonus!  I just love to "see" our boys back again - HOME -

Thank you for that - and Justin is doing so good.

I want to thank you for treating this delicate subject so well. You show such insight and respect by the way you aproach it... It's all still there - No miracle healing - just healing but at the same time awareness of Justins condition as a part of him.

I just love to read your work, that's all.

Gleðileg jól og farsælt komandi ár!

<3 Edda.

Author's Response:

Hi Edda :-D I'm so glad that you mentioned the 'realism' of this story. It's so true that one can't just 'get better' from an eating disorder the same way one can 'get better' from the flu or pneumonia. It takes so much time- years- and even then there's always the fear of relapse that can be triggered by anything. You're so right- it becomes a part of you... but that doesn't mean it has to define who you are. Justin isn't 'better' yet, but he's begining to accept what it is his recovery means. I'm actually thinking of writing a sequel to 'A Moment on the Lips', so that I can eplain this a little more. I'm really, really glad that you understand it, too :-D

Thank you so much for your encouraging and insightful comment :-) I hope you had a very Merry Christmas, and all the very best for the New Year!
