 *weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*

Brian needs a sleeping pill too. And they need to SLEEP together... all modeled in clay together... for about 18 hours.... that's all I have to say for now.

Love it.... in the most perverted of ways.

Author's Response: Hey :) I'm so glad you liked it, even in the most perverted of ways ;)  Thanks for reviewing :)

I love this fic I keep it in my favourites in case I miss a chapter so I can hunt it down if RL gets too hard.

Brian and Justin both wanting the same thing to get back to the special life they had. Brian is realising how special their life was so he works as hard as Justin to get them there, look forward to next chapter :)Chris

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you're enjoying it :) Brian and Justin are both finally on the same page, and they're working hard to get back to where they were before.

Thanks for reviewing, I really appreciate it :)

Wow, you almost made me cry... again.

This is one of the best stories! So heartbreaking and insightful! I'm checking the site every day hoping that you uploaded a new chapter.

Author's Response:

Sorry about almost making you cry...though I guess it means I'm doing something right, haha. ;) I'm so glad you're enjoying the story! Thanks for reviewing, I appreciate it :)

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: May 09, 2009 09:44 AM · On: Awakening

again, the beginning was so bright. justin was sleeping even if it was due to the pills, without nightmares. brian was sleeping. things were comfortable. the ending was heartbreaking.

will it ever get better while they're still together? how much longer can they go on?

Author's Response:

I've been trying to kind of balance the happy parts with the bad ones, because Justin really is making progress, even if he's not completely better yet. It's not going to be easy, but things are going to continue to get better for them as Justin tries to heal. Thanks for reviewing :)

the beginning, i adored. they were almost themselves again. almost.

therapy, hard to take. the meds will help him start putting his life back in order. and as much as brian hates therapists and the meds they perscribe i'm glad he's going along and not voicing his opinion. justin knows how he feels.

the argument, i can see brian trying to get his point across. he's right. if justin going to the party and having happen what happened then he's as much at fault for letting chris take a bat to justin's head.

the fault lies only with chris and the sap.

Author's Response:

Thanks :) I really enjoyed writing the beginning, I thought they deserved a little bit of a light hearted moment after all that stress.

Brian usually knows when to let things go, and he's definitely going to this time. He's willing to try anything right now.

I'm glad you liked Brian trying to open Justin's eyes. It's completely and totally Chris and Sap's fault, Justin just needs to see that.

Thanks for reviewing :) Glad you liked the chapter.

That was such a wonderful chapter to read. I have had glimpses of hope for the last couple of chapters, but that was the first real sighting.

I love that Brian is helping in more ways than he knows just yet. I am so glad Justin has again learnt that it is important to know when to ask for or accept help.

No more being the victim, yay Justin!

Author's Response:

Thank you :) They're definitely starting to turn things around, and Justin accepting help is just another step in the right direction for  them both. He's taking back his life again. :)

Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

I could've -Maybe should've written after every chapter that I read -But didn't want to delay goin' to the next chapter -You've done such a wonderful job at writing feelings with such clarity and such discription of their life -It is really remakable -Its like readin' a fuckin' novel-I loved it -Its really great- Am looking forward to reading further chapters an' can't wait for the day when they can actually have great sex and make love together -the healing is slow but as they say -Time is a tremendous healer which has patience and immence power of pulling you back from the brink of life to make you walk 'Tall' again 'n' live with love and hope -I'm sure Brian 'n' Justin too will find each other as the soothing magic of time fills their heart 'n' soul -You're doin so well-Post more soon-We're waitin' -

Author's Response:

That's okay, just that you reviewed is appreciated :) I'm so glad you're enjoying the story, and I'm flattered that you like it so much. You're right, Brian and Justin are making great strides toward healing, and with time, things will start getting a lot better for them. More is on the way, I promise. Thanks again :)

Justin is making such strides right now. I'm so glad he went to the dinner and enjoyed himself. He needed to be among his "family" again. I'm also glad that his test turned out ok. Such a relief for him and Brian.

Author's Response:

He really did need a happy night with the people he cares about. I didn't have the heart to make him HIV+ right now. He's entering a healing stage, and he'll continue to make strides toward getting better. :) Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

Reviewer: Tee (Anonymous) · Date: March 25, 2009 11:27 PM · On: Survivor

Justin is getting better. It will just take time. I can't wait until he is ready to have sex with Brian again. I think when Sap pays, Justin will feel a sense of closure and that will help.

As for Brian, his feelings regarding fantasizing about Justin needs to be addressed in therapy.

I look forward to more. Please update soon. This story is getting better and better/

Author's Response:

He is getting better, day by day, and as he does, he'll start getting more physical with Brian. And there's going to be a mention of Sap sometime in the next few chapters...  More is coming soon, thanks for reading and rewiewing :)

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: March 25, 2009 11:13 PM · On: Survivor

i feel that this chapter is their turning point. the dinner at deb's was a big step for him. i can understand why jennifer wasn't there. he wanted to belong again and they let him. she wouldn't have. he talk with ben set his mind in the right direction also. he was living through it even without noticing that that was what he was doing.

brian, omg brian. when in love he loves forever and with everything he's got. this didn't just happen to justin it happened to both of them. his thoughts in the shower broke my heart but made me so damn pround of him. "He was worth everything." i'm so glad he finally realizes it.

the phone call couldn't have come at a better time. i think justin will be able to into his next therapy session with a little bit more weight off his shoulders. he's drawing again of happier things. he rated his day saturday with a 5 and he got the call that he's okay. yeah i would definitely say it was a truning point for them.

you are doing a fantastic job with this story. just wanted you to know that it's highly appreciated.

Author's Response:

It was a turning point for them both, and one of the first happy experiences Justin has had in a while. He needed a night with his friends, and like you said, to belong again.

I agree about Brian, in cannon he always seemed like the kind of person that, once he cares about someone, there's no letting go for him. He's been with Justin through every part of this, in one way or another, and as Justin starts to heal, so will he.

He's still got a way to go, but he's doing so much better than he was, even therapy will be a little easier as he starts to get better.

Thank you so much :) I'm glad you're still enjoying the story, thanks for reading and reviewing :)

Reviewer: gerri (Signed) · Date: March 25, 2009 08:01 PM · On: Survivor

I noticed something today and it is such a testiment to your writing. Justin is getting better, even if he doesn't realise. It may be small steps but it's there and you have been so cleaver to have managed it so quietly that I had almost not have noticed, just like him.

Author's Response: Thank you :) Justin is getting better, little by little, even when he doesn't think he is. Thanks again for reading and reviewing :)

Another touching, wonderful chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm feeling a lot better :) And I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter :)

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: March 11, 2009 01:57 AM · On: Scars

Great chapter! Justin is really making progress. Michael was a friend and didn't stick his foot in his mouth. He was actually sensative to Justin and Brian's needes!

Justin still has a ways to go, but he's doing so much better than he was. I think the dinner will be good for him...I hope!

Author's Response:

He certainly is :) He's got a while to go, but he's getting there.  Mikey does have a habit of saying exactly the wrong thing at exactly the wrong time, but I like to think he has his not-so-cring-worthy moments on occasion, too. ;) Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

Reviewer: alys (Anonymous) · Date: March 10, 2009 12:37 PM · On: Scars

A beautiful chapter. Glad Mikie is clueless or brillant in this chapter. Brian is great, even finally admitting Justin is his partner. Admitting his own fears about Justin.

Author's Response: Thank you :) I like to think Mikey has his moments, whether intentional or not ;) Brian and Justin are both facing some of their worst fears, and finally starting to come out on the other side of things. Brian's usually the last one to grasp onto his own feelings, but he gets there...eventually...haha. Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

I'm happy to see an update for this but I'm sorry that you were sick. Hope you're doing better.

It's so great to see Justin making progress. I have to mention again that I love the realistic pacing.

Author's Response:

Thanks, I'm feeling a lot better now :) And fortunately, Justin is getting there, too. He's got a long way to go, but he and Brian will make it. Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: March 10, 2009 07:26 AM · On: Scars

amazing chapter. from the beginning when he wouldn't open his mouth to the end where he was sitting around talking and laughing with brian and michael. what a change. i think having brian read about the dreams is what is getting him to open up more. he doesn't have to hide anything now brian knows it all.

i hope brian understands the signifigance of the number doe justin's feelings. wed and thurs. were the two days furthrest from his therapy which is why the numbers were higher.

him wanting to go to deb's is a giant step for him but i'd like to see jennifer and daphne there also.

Author's Response: I really wanted to show that, while Justin still has plenty of issues to work through, he is starting out on the road to recovery. The no-secrets rule with Brian is an important part of Justin getting better...he relies on Brian to help him through this, and to do that, they need everything to be open between them. Dinner at Debbie's is definitely a huge step, he's finally trying to start taking his life back.

Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

I am so glad you have been updating this! I hadn't checked it for awhile and then when I did there were several new chapters up. this is still the best fic of this type I have ever read. I know this plot is done a lot, but this is realistic and very sensitive to a horrific topic. Really well done. I look forward to your next update!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much :) I'm really glad you're enjoying the fic, and that you think it's realistic and sensitive about the topic it deals with. I've been nervous since the beginning about making it 'real,' since it is such a difficult subject to deal with. Thanks again for reading and reviewing :)

Reviewer: Hotesse (Signed) · Date: February 22, 2009 04:30 AM · On: Changes

Thanks so much for the update! This story is so good, I wish I could write like this. Unfortunately it raises the bar to a whole new level so there are only like a handful of stories I can stand to read in MW now...

Kathy is good, I can see that right away, and as Justin can can see a tiny light at the end of the tunnel... that's a start. But Oh they have been through so much, it's amazing how strong Brian is. Any normal person would break... hope he doesn't...

Author's Response:

Thank you *blushes* :) Kathy is definitely an improvement to their situation, and Brian's love for Justin and his will to help them both out of this gives him his strength. Hopefully it's enough for them.

Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

All Justin needs is one good reason and if that is Brian...well better for them both.

Author's Response: If anyone can bring Justin back, it's Brian ;) Thanks for reviewing, gerri :)

I'm so glad Justin finally went to the therapist, this is just the start he needs. I really hope his test results come back ok.

It was time the two of them start turning things around. They've still got a while to go, but it's a start. Thanks for reading and reviewing, Kat :)

Author's Response:

I'm glad you like Kathy, it was definitely the right decision on Brian's part to make Justin go. Thanks for r&r-ing :)

the dark tunnel is lightening. i think kathy is perfect for him. for both of them.  he's becoming more aware of he world around him. it was the best thing brian could have done was to force him to go.

what an amazing chapter.

Author's Response: It certainly is :) I'm glad you like Kathy, it really was the best thing Brian could have done for Justin, and Justin will realize that.  Thanks for reviewing, I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter :)

WOW! Thankgoodness Brian got through to Justin. I was so glad he realized, pride be damn, he needed to tell Justin he loved him. That saved their lives! And I'm so glad Justin finally felt able to tell Brian what happened. Now they can start healing and moving forward.

Author's Response:

At first I was afraid that it would be too OOC to have Brian say that he loves Justin, but I thought that at a time like that, when Justin's life was basically on the line, he would just say 'fuck it' and go for it anyway. I'm glad you thought it worked. :) And they're definitely moving into the 'healing' stage now that Justin has finally talked to Brian. Thanks for r&r-ing, Kat :)

Wow, this story is really intense. I just started reading it. I had a day off from school and wanted to relax so I spent a couple hours reading this. It is well-written.

I still feel you left us with a cliffhanger. I am curious as to what Brian's reaction will be to Justin telling him all of that.

Update soon.

Author's Response:

Thank you :) I'm glad you're enjoying the fic so far. And sorry about the cliffy...I'll try to update soon, promise. Thanks again :)

This chapter was well worth the wait (not that you kept us waiting that long :)). I actually teared up a bit throughout and that rarely happens with fics.

it was the three words that brian said that got him to justin. now that all of it is out in the open, that he fianlly told brian all of it, now they'll be able to start living again. it's the first much needed step. as for the sap, brian is going to track him down. no matter where he goes, he's done for.

very powerful chapter.

Author's Response:

It's definitely a turning point, so to speak, in Justin's progress. He's still got a long way to go, but he's definitely getting there, especially now that he talked to Brian and it's all out in the open. Thanks for reviewing :)

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: January 20, 2009 05:32 AM · On: Storms

I hope he does talk to Brian, I really do!

Author's Response:

Please, please, tell me the Sap will pay for what he did. I can't wait to read more.

Author's Response:

*Looks apologetic* Sorry about making you cry. I didn't mean to...well, actually, I did. But that's not the point. ;)

I have a couple of ideas on what's going to happen with Sap, but I haven't decided on one just yet.

You have the greatest gift for continuous cliff hangers! Seriously -  I have reviewed my reviews of this fic and it seems I am always saying the same thing LOL. So I will repeat myself: another really good chapter. Justin hiding in the bathroom breaks my heart. Please, please update soon and please have him let Brian in just a little? Pretty please?

Despite my pleading to have him heal faster - I have to say that you are dealing with a very difficult and painful subject really well. The fact it isn't an overnight cure or he has a fix-all breakthrough is very genuine.

Author's Response:

Haha, funny thing is, reading cliff hangers drives me crazy, but I love writing them (sorry.) ;) I guess it's more fun from this end.

Justin and Brian are both reaching the end of their ropes here, so something is definitely going to have to change. Justin is really trying, so maybe he'll be able to let Brian in a little pretty soon. And I'm so glad you think Justin's progress so far has been believable, since I'm always wondering (worrying) about that.

Happy Holidays, calisurferchic :)

...great cliffhanger to end the year with.

I'm glad Justin finally decided to talk to Brian, even if his motives aren't exactly rational, (trying to get out of therapy,) but I still have a feeling things aren't going to be that easy.

I can't wait to find out what happens. Out of all the stories I've read this year, yours is definitely one of the top five.

I'll look forward to new chapters next year (and plenty of pain for "the sap...?")

Take care, and have a good holiday and a happy New Year.

Author's Response:

Thank you :) I thought it was a hopeful sort of way to leave it off for now, with Justin deciding to talk, even if there was a lot of angst and fear surrounding his decision.

Wow, really? Top five? *blushes* Thanks :D Knowing that people are enjoying what I write makes me want to do it more, so I'm glad you're enjoying the story.

There will definitely be more coming next year, and hopefully less pain for Justin and more pain for the sap.

Hope you have a happy holiday, and have a great new year :)

Justin's got a lot to deal with at the moment, but thankfully he doesn't have to do it alone.

...I'm happy you updated, and I'm so glad you're feeling better.

I'm still seriously hooked on this story; (actually, it's the only QAF story I'm still following right now). Your characters are totally belivable and in character and the progress up to this point has been completely realistic.

I hope Brian can get through to Justin and get him to see a therapist. I can't imagine how freaked he must have been to see those drawings...Brian really is so amazing in this story...

Anyway, I look foward to reading more.

Author's Response:

Thanks :) It was so frustrating because I had all these plans for the chapter, and then I got sick and couldn't do anything about them, lol.

Thanks so much, and I'm so glad you think the boys are in character and that it's been realistic so far. I'm always questioning whether or not they're in character, particularly Brian, so it means a lot that you think they've been believable.

Thanks again, elvenfixation. I'll try to update soon :)

My heart breaks for Justin with every chapter! I can only imagine what those drawings did to Brian. I'm glad that Justin is at least considering therapy, it would be a start. He's just so broken now it hurts my heart. You can just feel his pain and Brian's emotions in every word you write

Author's Response: Justin still has a long way to go, but Brian's not giving up. I'm glad you're enjoying the story, and thanks for r&r-ing :)

I was so happy to see another update to this story this morning. This was another very powerful chapter. I can quite believe that Justin is suicidal after the way he has been feeling, and Brian's panic is just so real. Thanks for continuing with this story.

Author's Response:

Justin's still got a lot of healing to do, unfortunately. I'm glad you're enjoying the story, and thanks for reviewing :)

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: December 10, 2008 11:54 AM · On: Memories

right now i don't know who really is worse off. justin with his thoughts or brian with his helplessness. he's going to snap if something doesn't give soon.

Author's Response:

They've both got almost more to deal with than they can handle right now, Brian's got to convince Justin to start trying to help himself, though they both need some help on this one.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: December 04, 2008 06:22 AM · On: Dominoes

So intense! Wow, so the secret is out. As I was reading it and more names popped up that knew what happened, I was like omg how is Justin going to handle this.

I'm glad Brian got out all of that pent up frustration while Michael was there. He needed that release badly.

Jennifer dealt with that pretty much like I felt she would and I'm glad she didn't go into blame Brian mode.

Now, I'm wondering how everyone else will be once they do see Justin. I just hope they respect his boundries or Brian will ban them all from getting near Justin.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you thought Jen's reaction came across okay. I figured she'd go into mother mode and just want to help her son, however she could. Only this time around, she's figured out that he needs Brian by his side.

But it's all in the open now, everyone knows what happened, and now it's up to Justin to reach out and take the first step.

Thanks for reviewing, Kat :)

Another awesome chapter.

I'm glad the secret's out now. Now Justin can start to focus on healing instead of worrying that everyone will find out what happened.

As usual you write everyone so in character. I can really imagine a scene like this for Jennifer. Will be waiting impatiently for more.

Author's Response:

Thanks :) I'm glad you thought Jen's part was in character, I've never written her like that before.

More is coming soon :) Thanks for reviewing.

very powerful chapter.

as infuriating as michael can be and is, this time he did good. giving brian a release of all that pent up anger and helplessness. it was good for him.

jennifer and justin will be okay, but she should know her son by now. he would never leave brian unless he wasn't wanted. he knew he was.

jennifer and brian will be okay too. at least this time she isn't blaming him which is nice. i think she could tell just how much he was hurting by what justin was going through.

Author's Response:

Michael was bound to do something right eventually, Brian really needed to let it out. Jen is finally realizing that Brian does really love Justin, in his way, and both of them would do anything to take away Justin's pain if they could. Jennifer just wants what's best for her son.   Thanks for reviewing :)

...wow, thank you for the update.

And I'm so glad you gave Justin something treatable. I was worried there for a while, especially with the title of the chapter. (Though he won't be out of the danger zone for a while yet.)

Now, who's at the door? My bet would be on Michael, Jennifer, or Daphne.

(By the way, I've put this story on my rec list. I've given it four stars for the moment, but I'm sure it'll rate a five once it's finished.)

I'll be waiting for the next one. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response:

I didn't have the heart to give him HIV, at least not right now, but I didn't think he'd be able to get off with nothing, given what he went through. (And incidentally, I chose the title of the chapter on purpose, for precisely that reason of making people worry, if they paid attention to the title. Kinda mean, huh?)

Well I'll give you a hint, it is one of those three at the door. ;)

*Feels honored that you awarded the fic four stars, and put it on your rec list* :D I'm so glad you're liking the fic. Thanks so much for reading/reviewing :) I'll try to have chapter twelve up next week.

I'm glad Brian and Justin had that talk. They both needed to say and hear those things.

Now who is tap, tap, tapping outside Brian's door?

Author's Response:

Justin just needed a push, now that he knows Brian's sticking around, he can finally start to open up a little.

I'm seriously worried everyone's going to be disappointed when they find out who's at the door...lol.

Thanks for r&r-ing, Kat :)

I'm so glad you wrote this chapter. Now Brian and Justin can both start to get better! (specially Justin).

I can't wait to know who was that a the door! I kind of think is Jennifer.

Please keep writting.

Author's Response:

I'm so happy you liked the chapter. I thought Justin might need a little nudge to start really opening up to Brian. Hmm maybe it's Jen...she's going to be in the fic, but you'll have to wait to see who's at the door. I'm afraid it might disappoint people a little, lol.

Thanks for reviewing :) I'll hopefully have the next chapter up around this time next week.

what a chapter. marvelous.

no more hiding. for either of them. brian's not running, but justin still is. from his demons.

now who is it at the door to make things harder for them?

Author's Response:

It's all in the open now, Justin just needs to face what happened head on and stop trying to run from it.

As for who's at the door, you'll have to wait and find out, ;)

I'm glad you liked the chapter, thanks for reviewing :)

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: November 09, 2008 03:31 AM · On: Rage

I hope Brian doesn't start feeling like Justin doesn't trust him again. They did work through that, Justin had been afraid Brian wouldn't want him anymore. I hope this doesn't set them back.

I hope Justin's test results will turn out ok and that he will be open with Brian regardless.

Very believeable with the Brian/Mikey confrontation. Just like Michael to throw something in Brian's face.

Author's Response:

Yeah, they did work through it, but having it thrown back in his face by Michael doesn't help things much. It's more the fact that Justin didn't trust him to be there for him that's hurting Brian. But there'll be more on this, probably next chapter.

I'm glad you thought the Brian/Mikey scene was believable...I was worried about keeping them IC, I had about three versions of that part. Michael sometimes doesn't think before he speaks in situations like that...and usually ends up making things worse.

Thanks for reviewing, Kat :)

(I hope Justin's test results come back okay; (angst is good but him being positive would be too much...) Please, update soon; I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat.

Author's Response:

So, so heartbreaking! But very Brian like to be there and be supportive of Justin. I know he's hurt that Michael knew what happened, but he's obviously gonna fight that battle another day. Mikey won't know what hit him when Hurricane Brian blows.

In this chapter you can just feel both Brian and Justin's pain. Brian's pain in knowing what has happened to Justin, wanting to fix this for him somehow and his vunderability. Justin is breaking my heart, I just want him well. But I appreciate you not fixing him to quickly. Letting this play out in "real time", unlike Cowlip did with the bashing storyline.

Author's Response:

I like to think Brian, for all his faults, will always be there when the people he cares about need him most. He was there after Justin was bashed, and he'll be there now. Mikey, however, better take cover...Hurricane Brian is going to be a terrifying one. On top of finding out his boyfriend was raped, he now has to deal with the fact that his best friend knew about it and kept it a secret. Brian's got a lot to deal with at the moment. He just wants to help Justin, and Justin just wants to stop hurting, but neither one of them know where to start.

I always kind of thought Cowlip rushed certain things on the show that should have taken more time...the bashing, Brian's cancer, etc. But here in fanfic land, we can take the time to explore things more than they can on TV shows. It's going to be a while before Justin's anywhere near back to normal.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, Kat :) Glad you're liking the story.

Author's Response:

So sorry I made you cry :( But I'm glad you thought it was awesome :)

They've got a long road ahead of them, but Brian's not giving up on Justin. Though Mikey better watch out...Brian's not very happy with him at all.

Thanks for reviewing :)

i don't know how they're going to get through this with just the two of them. he has to talk justin into going to therapy and to go to the cops. seeing that the sap did this to someone else, once he thinks it over, just might give him the courage to get his life back.

now michael keeping this from brian is another story. he has every right to be angry.

thanks for the update.

Author's Response:

That's one of Brian's greatest fears right now, that he won't be able to help Justin get through this. Ultimately, Justin will have to make the decision to get professional help or go to the cops, but Brian isn't going to just drop it, either. But Mikey better brace himself, Brian is seriously pissed at this point.

Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

Another amazing chapter, both POV's are so true to the characters. Brian does need to know the details as until he does it will all get magnified in his mind and just make things worse in the long run. Justin should go to the police as well, but i can understand why he doesn't want to.

Author's Response:

Thank you :) I'm glad you thought so.

Justin will eventually have to talk about what happened, but it's going to have to be on his own terms, and it'll be hard for both of them. Going to the police would naturally be the best course of action, but Justin isn't really thinking about it like that right now. But now he has Brian there to take care of him as much as possible. OMG!!!! I have been waiting for this chapter for soo long and it was compleately beautiful, and the best part is that you managed to keep everyone totally in character, something that most writters can't do in a story like this one.

Also, I'm so glad Brian finally knows what happened but the way he found out was a total mess and so horrible for him. However I'm happy it happened 'cause at least now he'll be able to help Justin and beat the shit out of the Sap!

Please keep writting! oh, and I wanted to aks you if you have a livejournal page or something like that? 'cause I would love to add you to my friends so I can keep track of all your stories. =)

Author's Response:

I was kind of worried about Brian this chapter, so I'm really glad you thought everyone was in character. I always wonder if they're all coming off right. :)

The way Brian found out was pretty horrible (sorry, I'm cruel to him). Out of Daphne, Justin, and Michael all knowing...he had to find out by linking some gossip to what happened to his boyfriend. That definitely could have gone better. Now that he knows, though, he and Justin can finally start to deal with this like they should have been doing a month ago. I don't know exactly what's going to happen to Sap yet, but I have a good idea. If he doesn't get what's coming to him anyway, Brian is intent on making him pay.

Sorry, I have a livejournal page, but I've posted about four things on it, and three of them were chapters from this fic. I've been having some technical problems with the site, I don't really post over there much. All my QAF stuff is here and on fanfiction.net. If you want the link to my stuff there, there's not much QAF stuff over there that isn't here, (I think like, one fic), but if you want it, email me :)

I am so hooked on this story, I was practically jumping up and down in my chair when I saw an update...this was definitely the chapter I'd been waiting for from the start, and it was worth the wait.

Most stories like this have Justin miraculously recovered in three or four chapters or, worse, have him magically healed through sex with Brian which (no matter how hot) isn't really believable.

This is just so heartbreakingly beautifully and realistically written...I haven't read your other work, but this one is amazing. It's one of the best stories I've ever read out of any fandom, on any theme. Every chapter has left me speechless.I'm happy Brian finally found out the truth about what happened to Justin. Now they can both really start dealing. And I'm kind of glad actually that Michael got off the hook having to be the one to tell Brian; though he will still have to deal with Brian finding out that he’s known for days.I'm wondering right now whether Justin will find the courage to go to the police, once he knows someone else had The Sap arrested. The more people that come forward, the greater the likelihood of a conviction, right? Though I doubt that Justin is able to think like that at the moment.(It would be great if Daphne saved those clothes Justin was wearing that night in a plastic bag or something as evidence...) all of that assuming Brian doesn't beat The Sap to death first...(I think that would be too good for him though. I think he’d suffer more in jail.)

Okay, I think I'll stop there...as always, I'll be waiting eagerly (obsessively) for the next one.

Author's Response:

Wow, thanks so much :D I'm so happy you like the story, and that this chapter was worth the wait. :)

Healing is going to be a long process for Justin, one that just can't happen overnight. (Though I wish it could...I hate writing him so depressed.) And he definitely won't be having sex with Brian any time soon.

Yeah, Justin couldn't heal alone. Now that Brian's found out, they can start trying to deal together. Brian's not going to be happy to find out that Michael knew and didn't tell him, of course...Mikey's not off the hook yet. I haven't decided exactly what's going to happen with Sap yet, though I have an idea. Justin's not really thinking about going to the police...if anything, Brian might try to convince him to go, but it will be up to Justin. Well, and me, lol.

Thanks again for reading and reviewing :)

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: October 28, 2008 01:25 PM · On: Poison

This was just amazing! Not at all suprised Brian reacted this way. He would go to the ends of the Earth for Justin. He is not a man to be messed with at this point and everyone would be wise to NOT piss him off.

His head has got to spinning now. One minute he's sitting in the diner with the gossip queens, the next he's putting 2+2 together and realizes his boyfriend was raped. You can tell he was running on pure adreneline with one goal in mind, which was seeing Justin. Had to feel like an electrical shock to his system.

And I know that this is just the beginning. He won't be happy at all that Michael knew and didn't say anything to him. Now Michael did plan to tell him that night (when he asked Brian to come by), so maybe Brian won't kill him for that. He'll also wonder why Justin could tell Michael and not him. Although Justin's confession was not done out of a trust in Michael, he was in full on panic mode and blurted it out. I hope Brian will realize that Justin would never trust Michael over him.

I knew this would be great and you didn't disappoint!!

Author's Response:

It's definitely wise to stay out of Brian's way when he gets like that. When Brian has a goal in mind, nothing is going to stop him from reaching it. And in this case, nothing in the world would have stopped him from reaching Justin.

Yeah Mikey's argument that he was *going* to tell Brian isn't going to help much. Brian will still likely be pretty pissed that Michael didn't tell him the second he found out. He'll also probably be a little hurt, though he won't admit it of course, that Justin apparently "trusts" Michael over him. The whole involving-Michael thing just makes things that much more complicated for all three of them.

I'm so glad you liked the chapter and weren't disappointed. Thanks for reviewing :)

Reviewer: josieb (Anonymous) · Date: October 27, 2008 07:55 PM · On: Poison

This was amazing. A very realistic portrayal of how I think Brian would have reacted. I must admit to being worried as to why Brian hadn't figured out something sooner, but if he had never been in that position then he wouldn't have know what to look for. I'm glad he knows now so hopefully he can help Justin through this. I was very suprised at the twist of Brian finding out through Ted and Emmett, I wasn't expecting that. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response:

That was pretty much it...Brian had no idea what was going on, and out of everything that could be happening, he wasn't really narrowing it down specifically to the party + weird behavior = rape. Especially when Justin has had panic attacks/nightmares/etc. before.

Finding out through Ted and Em wasn't really the best way for it to happen, and it's going to make things even worse and more complicated. But I had that idea in my head since the beginning, and I wanted to keep it in.

Thanks for reviewing, josieb :)

Reviewer: maddy_snape (Signed) · Date: October 27, 2008 03:28 PM · On: Poison

Very powerful.  Poor Brian, definitely not the best way to find out.  I'm surprised Ted and Emmett didn't connect the fact that Justin was also a dancer at Babylon and make a comment.

I'm really glad it's out in the open and hopefully Brian will make Justin see sense and get some help.

I'm guessing there's going to be some fallout when Brian finds out that Michael already knew and didn't tell him?  I imagine Brian will also find it quite hurtful that Justin could tell Michael but not him - Daphne is understandable, but not Michael!

Keep up the good work, I look forward to reading what happens next.

Author's Response:

Brian's definitely going to be pissed at Michael for not telling him the second he found out, and probably a little hurt that Justin told Michael, but he's much more likely to yell at Michael than Justin right now. This definitely wasn't a good way for him to find out the truth. You're right, Daphne's one thing, but Michael's another matter entirely.

There's probably going to be more about the rest of the gang (Ted, Emmett, Deb, etc.) finding out what's going on, too, one way or another. j

Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

Author's Response: Brian's pretty frustrated, he can't figure out what's going on, no one will talk to him about it...but he's finally going to be finding out soon. The next chapter is a major one, and I hope to have it up within a few days. :) Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

I'm glad you like the Michael/Justin parts--I always liked their relationship on the show, and I think despite everything, they care about each other and would help the other when they needed it.

Actually I'm almost finished with chapter eight, so it should be up either this weekend or early this week. :) I'll do my best to get it up soon. Thanks for reviewing, Helen :)

I hope Michael does tell Brian what happened. I know how torn he was about whether to keep his word to Justin or not. But its become incredibly crucial that he go back on his word. He needs to be the clearer thinker in this equation. Justin can't go on any longer like this its ripping him apart. He's on the verge of an mental/emotional breakdown. Poor, poor baby!!

Brian has to be hanging on by a thin thread as it is. At this point they both are. He's gonna be beyond pissed that Michael knew all this time, but he'll put it aside because helping Justin will be his main priority.  I can just tell that he will blow a gasket sky high when Michael finally tells him. Its gonna rip his heart out when he finds out Justin was raped.

Author's Response:

Justin can't live like this for much longer, and luckily Michael's finally realized that and plans to do something about it. Brian won't be happy when he finds out what happened, or that Michael kept it from him, but like you said, his main concern will be helping Justin. Ultimately though, Brian finding out is for the best, and Justin will eventually see that.

I'm speechless Britin...

So much emotions and heartache...Poor Justin ! He has reach his limits and he is so scared to loose Brian... Oh my!

Please, let Michael tell Brian soon enough and make sure Brian can help "his" Justin !

I believe Brian is the only one that can bring Justin's inner strenght and light back and make him feel alive again !

How you can write such powerful stuff with accurate words amaze me to no end ! You are courageous to go so deeply inside Justin's head and heart and to let it all out this way... That is one of your best pieces so far (for me anyway)!

Although, I have to ask you to update soon or I'll go crazy waiting!

Please, I want to know what comes next and I need to see Justin being taking care of a little...

See ya! Jersey

Author's Response:

Justin really has reached a breaking point, and Brian is the only one who can bring him back. Michael's finally come to a decision, and he's definitely not going to back down. Unfortunately, there's one more surprise left that might make things a little trickier for them all, but Mikey will remain resolute in his choice to tell Brian.

such an intense chapter. i don't know what to say.

his pain is unbearable, the guilt of not telling brian is eating away at him too. to try and make himself better by having sex. not a good idea at all.

michael i just want to smack for telling him he'd keep his secret. it's about time he became wiser. let justin hate him if telling brian helps him.

i don't know if i want to know brian's reaction or not. i'm afraid for all of them.

Author's Response:

Justin's logic is seriously screwed up right now, he's willing to try anything just to stop hurting. Michael's finally realizing that things aren't going to get better on their own, and he's pretty much the only one willing to give them a push in the right direction. Brian's reaction won't be pretty, obviously, and there's still one more surprise left next chapter. Thanks for r&r-ing :)

Author's Response:

Michael is trying to do what's best, even if it takes him a bit to figure out what that is. And Justin is trying so hard to deal...unfortunately, his logic is a little screwed up right now. But there is a major chapter coming up, and the truth will come out. Well, if Michael's in character at all, there's no way he'll be able to keep it a secret from Brian!  Especially when he and Brian have been trying to figure out what's wrong with Justin for the past few weeks - Brian will just have to take one look at Michael to know he's hiding something!

Author's Response:

Michael has always had an issue with keeping secrets. He's in a tough position, and just because he says he won't tell Brian, and even if he tries to keep the secret, it doesn't mean much (season four, Brian's cancer?). If Justin didn't want Brian to know, it was probably a bad idea to tell Mikey.

I'm not surprised Justin broke and let it spill what happened to him. I'm glad he told Michael, but of course would have preferred Brian.

Now, Michael says he won't tell Brian? Yea, we've heard that one before. Michael is gonna let it slip. Its a tough situation he is in now and I'm thankful he was so supportive and caring to Justin.

Author's Response:

Glad you liked that Justin spilled his secret to Michael, even though it wasn't Brian. (Who is going to be finding out very, very soon) But yeah, Michael has never been too good at keeping secrets. Even if he does try, it doesn't mean it will last. He's got a lot to think about, he really is in a tough situation. Thanks for reviewing :)

I think Mikey will tell Brian, not just because hes Brian bf and is loyal to him but I think because Brian needs to be told. Justin needs Brians support, its tearing him up inside hiding it from Brian, knowing hes hurting Brian and thinkng Brian wont want him when he finds out. If it was just a minor secret maybe Mikey would keep it but Justin needs serious help and he needs Brian to help him so there is no way that Mikey wont tell Brian because its in the best interest of both of them for him to know.

Author's Response:

Yeah, it's not only a question of who Michael will be loyal to for the sake of being loyal, but he has to decide if he's doing the right thing, either way. Michael does have a tendency to not keep his mouth shut, though, so even if he decided to try to keep his word to Justin, there's no telling how long it would last.

Justin's taking on way too much, trying to keep his secret from Brian, it's doing them both more harm than good. But Brian will be finding out the truth soon now, one way or another.

Wow great chapter. I loved that he opened up to Michael of all people and that Michael was there for him. I can't wait for Brian to find out!

Author's Response:

I thought after dealing with so much on a day-to-day basis, Justin would eventually just have enough and breakdown, even if it wasn't to Brian. Glad you like Justin's choice of a confidant. But Brian will be finding out very, very soon. Thanks for reviewing :)

when brian finds out all hell will break loose. he won't be mad at justin but for michael to keep this from him, justin is asking alot. too much i think.

Author's Response:

Brian's definitely not going to be happy if Michael decides to keep this from him, when he's so desperate to find out what's wrong with Justin. Justin is asking a lot of Michael, but he's not really thinking about it that way. He's just terrified that Brian will find out. Michael has to decide whether to stay loyal to Brian, or keep his word to Justin. It's going to be hard for him, but either way, he's betraying someone.

...I am on pins and needles reading this.

I'm glad Brian's had someone to talk to too, but I can't believe Justin let it slip to Michael of all people...(we all know Michael can't keep a secret)...I wish it had been Brian he blurted it out to.

Can't wait for the next one, and for Brian to find out the truth. And I'm really happy about the frequent updates.

Author's Response:

Glad I'm keeping you on pins and needles...even though that may be slightly evil, I like knowing I'm keeping people's interest. :) Lol. (Pay no attention to my evil grin)

I figure Justin's going to have a couple meltdown moments he can't really control, and crack under pressure, even if his breakdowns aren't with the person we all wish they were. I know I keep saying this, but Brian is really going to find out very soon. Everything is going according to plan at the moment, so it won't be long. I've had that scene planned out since before I started writing this, so I'm kind of looking forward to finally getting to write it.

GOD DAMN IT JUSTIN PLEASE TELL HIM

BRIAN ASK DAPHNE

Author's Response:

There's a couple reasons why Brian's not asking Daphne, and Justin has no intention of telling him, but he'll find out soon anyway. Unfortunately, things are going to get even more complicated before they get easier for anyone.
