I love your stories I'm always checking the authors section to see if I missed any of your stories.I know it has been three years since you worked on this story, is it possible for you to do and epilogue (sorry for the spelling) on this story to let us know how Michael fared in the justice system and the repaying of the stolen money ? I must admit the character of mikey always makes  me wish for  death, dismemberment he just sucks the life out of everyone. I have read other authors vilolette7 for instance she writes 45,59 or 70 chapters and never finishes any of them (only the one chapter ones) I don't read her or two others because there you are hanging and no explanations on the story, no closer, they keep writing new stories with promise but these too are never finished.

Author's Response: Sorry I didn't answer the other comment before now, then you wouldn't have had to write again *sheepish* As I said in that one, RL is for shit right now, but I do have some stories I have updates too. I'll be posting a new chapter to one of my stories later today :)

I keep checking because I have read so many of your stories, I really enjoyed this series, are you going to finish this one? It is listed as not done and the last word was tbc, please consider adding a ending for your fans.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I do plan to finish it, but right now RL is kicking my ass, but I'll try to get back to writing asap.

I really hope you finish this story ... I can't wait to see Michael go down and hopefully Deb will learn a lesson or two herself.

Just a quick note ... the boys apparently had lunch twice in the same day in chapter nine.... between the police station and the lawyers and then Cynthia had lunch for them again at the office afterwards.

So please please please finish this story and all your other wonderful but unfinished stories you have on the go

Another great chapter to this story. I love the character of Deb, but she(like many parents) are quite blind to the faults of  their grown children. Michael is very content in letting others fight his battles for him. She needs to let him grow up or simply refuse to keep enabling him.

I just hope that charging and suing Michael doesn't have any negative impact on Brian's new found serinty and self esteme. Michael always was more than good at pushing Brian's pity button.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much.

I think Deb has a lot of wonderful qualities, but she has a one track mind when it comes to Michael.

The thing is, Michael and Brian doensn't see each other and Michael can therefore not push any of Brian's buttons. He has Justin and the rest of the family to support him in this decission, that ultimately was Justin's anyway.

Reviewer: cakdg (Signed) · Date: September 29, 2009 10:23 AM · On: To hell...

Yay, an update, it seems so long since the last one.  Can we get another one soon, pretty please?

Is anyone surpised that Deb stormed over to B&J's place to defend her son?  I just wonder when she thinks Michael will be old enough to take responsibility for himself...when she's dead?  As the uber protective mom, I am surprised that she's not at least pissed at him for abdicating his responsibilities as a father (she can't blame anyone but Michael for that).

I'm glad Deb got to see the entire family at B/J's in support of them.  She is going to be pretty lonely living with her delusions of her innocent son.  At this point in time she still didn't know that Vic has moved out, maybe that will make her stop and think (we can hope).

At the beginning of this chapter, B mentions that 6 months have gone by.  So, what's been happening in the months following Deb's visit?

Looking forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much.

Nope, don't think anyone is surprised, Deb has a one track mind where Michael is concerned.

She needed to see that the rest of the family supports B/J, she needed to see that she's alone in her thinking that Michael is innocent in all this.

I think she was so busy defending and feeling sorry for Michael that it never really registered that he had neglected his duties as a father, she just saw it as everybody else being selfish in Michael's time of need.

THe last of the 6 months follows in the next chapter :)

It is sad. Debbie's character reminds me a lot of my Aunt Ev - lovely person, would give you the shirt off her back, outspoken & loud, flaming red hair - she was definitely my favorite relative.  But she had the whole drama queen "I'm being treated unfairly" routine honed into an art form and always had one or two "ultimate wrongs" that she perceived were unjustly done to her. Her divorce was one of them. Everything was the ex-husbands fault, and while he was/is a bastard - she ain't no saint either. Ev's youngest daughter has picked up right where her mom left off, sadly.

Don't you just LOVE family drama ;-)

Author's Response:

Oh, that sounds familiar ;)

Yeah, family drama are the best ;)

Reviewer: HalfTime1030 (Signed) · Date: September 28, 2009 06:54 PM · On: To hell...

It's so sad when people stick to their delusions of persecution even after it's been revealed that they're wrong....

Thanks for the update & looking forward to more! :)

Author's Response:

It really is sad, but she's lived in that particular delusion for so long that it's a part of her by now.

Thanks :)

Delusional Debbie strikes again! The excuses she came up with for Michael's behavior were laughable. I'm glad she saw that the family is behind Brian and Justin on this and she still doesn't get it.

Author's Response:

She can't accept that Michael is guilty, that would mean that she's guilty too because she's let him do this his whole life.

I think she's going to find that life without the family is a little lonely.

Thank you so much.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: September 28, 2009 03:49 PM · On: D-day

Its too bad it had to come to this, but they gave Michael a chance. Even if he couldn't come up with the full amount, but had made some sort of effort and admitted that he was wrong, it probably wouldn't have come to this. I'm sure Brian is going to be seen as the Big Bad Wolf in all this once Debbie finds out.

Author's Response:

Yeah, it is too bad, but Michael needs to take responcibility for his own actions, and stop blaming others for this screw-ups.

Oh, Deb is going to be livid.

Thanks.

How cool that Em and Vic are getting the loft next to Ben and Em's place. That worked out perfectly! Can't blame Vic for wanting to move out, he never was one to let Michael get away with anything. Deb is gonna have two cows when she finds out Vic is moving out! Can't wait for that!

Author's Response:

It really is, it's working out for all of them, except maybe Mikey :) Vic is tired of talking to Deb when she clearly isn't listening to a word he's saying.

Thank you so much.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: September 28, 2009 03:17 PM · On: Progress

How great that they were able to move into the office! Michael is an idiot per usual. Hate how he talks to Brian about Justin like Justin isn't standing right there.

Yeah, Mikey is an idiot!

Thank you.

Wow... Debbie is totally delusional.... If she saw Mikey rob a bank .. she would be waiting out front with the getaway car... what will it take for her to realize that her son is out of his freaking mind ???

Author's Response:

She really is, but I think it might have something to do with the fact that she knows that she largly responcible for him being the way he is. If she blames him, she'd have to blame herself too.

Thanks for the comment :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so very much, that really means a lot to me.

Deb is blind when it comes to Michael, she can't see that she's been teaching him not to take responcibility for his own actions.

Hunter still has Ben, and he has Emmett too now, he'll be ok.

Thanks :)

I can't wait to read more.

An update!  Well, are any of us surprised that Michael did nothing?  I feel for B/J having to go through this though...but glad they are together and their true friends are standing behind them.

Deb is going to end up alone with her precious son for company.  She doesn't yet know that Vic is moving out, too.  Should be interesting.

Just a picky point, in the story you mentioned that B/J had gone to lunch after the police station, prior to going to the lawyer.  They have lunch again (where Ted and Cyn have it waiting) when they return to the office from the lawyer.  Just a little skewed timeline, unless I misread it...

Great chapter, can't wait for the next as always!

Author's Response:

Thanks, another reader pointed out the whole lunch thing, I can't believe that I didn't catch that *face/palm*

Nope, not surprised at all, he figured Brian would come to the rescue like he normally do, didn't think he would choose Justin over Michael in this, stupid fucker.

Deb is in for a major wake-up call, and I don't think it's going to be pretty.

I've been away and was so excited to see your update!

I'm disappointed that Deb has reverted to form.  Her getting a clue would have helped Michael get one.  Well, I'm glad Vic lives in reality and will be moving in with the others.  Best thing for him and his longevity.  Although, Deb's reaction should be interesting.  Is she going to blame B for this too?

As I don't believe Michael will sell his collectibles, I hope J will sue him.

Great chapter, looking forward to the next...

Author's Response:

Glad to be of service :D

Deb is unvilling to see this as being Michael's fault, she don't want to take responsibility herself, and she knows that if Michael is to blame for this, she's to blame for letting him got that far out.

Vic's move it going to be a doosie, Deb is NOT going to like it at all.

Michael's actions and Justin's subsequent reactions should be made clear in the next chapter.

Thank you so much.

They are all tired of Michael and his treatment of Justin and Deb's automatic defence for him.

Don't worry, he'll sue, he just has to wait the month they promised they would, otherwise they'd be as bad as he is.

Reviewer: cakdg (Signed) · Date: May 20, 2009 05:07 PM · On: Progress

Yay, they've finally moved into their new office.  Has to be a relief to all four of them!

Well, Michael...that was moron moment number what, I've lost count?   I'm glad that Brian literally pushed him out of the loft and told him that he wasn't really his best friend and why.  Although highly unlikely, maybe Mikey can finally catch one of the clue buses that is following Deb's?  Probably not, she is smarter than he.

Have any of the boys talked with Deb or Vic since last chapter?   Michael must have because she told him about selling his collectibles.  Would loved to have overheard that conversation!

I'm curious as to where everyone in the gang stands with Deb since last chapter.  Does everyone know that B/J have new neighbors?  I know Michael is very self-involved, but I would have thought he'd be looking for the sympathetic ear he can usually get from Em.  Doesn't he know where Em now lives?  Even if he doesn't want to know about Ben, isn't he curious about Hunter?

How are the new roomies working out?

Loved that B asked J to move in, especially now that they have the loft back to themselves!  They are so hot together and I love when they've exhausted each other and cuddle afterward.

I got a kick out of the visual of J driving his car (the only time I remember seeing him drive in the show was with Jenn in S1), and especially with Gus in the carseat.

I love the times with the three of them.

Great chapter, curious where the story goes next!

Author's Response:

Wow, ok I'll start from the beginning.

Moving into the office is a HUGE relief fot all of them, especially Brian.

Michael is a dumbass, pure and simple. I don't think he'll ever get a clue

B/J haven't talked to Deb since, it hadn't been that long, and she's not their favorite person at the moment. Vic is another matter, he's trying to stay out of it, but he works with Em, and therefore knows all the latest.

Deb is still not popular with the gang, they are fed up with her automatic defence of Michael at everybody elses expence.

Michael and Deb still doesn't know where Ben, Hunter and Em lives. Michael is to obsorbed in his own 'problems' to care much about Hunter right now and he knows that Em is against him on this.

The room mate situation will be touched upon in the next chapter, I promise.

It was time for Justin to come home :D

Yeah, Justin needed a car, and we all know there is no way Brian was going to drive the 'family vehicle', so that honour falls on Justin.

Thank you so much for this long comment.

So, Deb is capable of catching the clue bus.  I'm glad Vic was there to help push her on board.

Well, you answered my question about Ben.  Good!  He really can do better.  So can Hunter, Mikey has never been a good role model.  As for being a father figure, he's been looking for one himself, so how can he be one?  I wonder if his thievery came out, how it will affect his/their custody agreement for Hunter?

I think it's a great idea for the 3 of them to be roomies.  I think they will learn alot from each other.  I always wondered about a possible thing between Em and Ben.  If you remember in the show, when Ben first came to the comic shop, Em was there helping Michael set up.  He thought Ben was hot, but I think he thought he was straight?  Hmmm...

I hope Em and Ted can once again become friends (not lovers, was that ever a mistake).

Whatever will Michael do?  There's no one there to take the blame.  But he needs to come up with the money, and unless someone tells him, I doubt he'd think about selling his collectibles.  Hmmm...

Looking forward to the next chapter, hope it's soon!

Author's Response:

With a lot of pushing and probing from Vic and the boys, she finally caught on. I think Michael lying to her, was a big clue too.

I did, didn't I. Ben is too honorable to stay with someone who did a thing like that. Michael is a terrible role model, for anything really. I think Ben is going to do the custody thing alone in this one.

I thought so too. I've always thought Em was such a wonderful character and he could be an amazing influence on Hunter and help Ben cope with everyday life with a teenager.

Em and Ted will be ok, but never again a couple, they had absolutely no chemestry IMO.

I think Deb is going to give him a serious talking to, and he might realize that selling his toys is a better idea than going to jail for fraud.

I'll hope to update this soon, I promise.

How deluded can a mother be?  Kudos to both J & B for telling it to her like it is.  Someone certainly needs to.  I just hope some of it sinks in.

I'm so glad that B/J draw strength from each other as well as calm each other, beautiful thing to read.

On to the next...

Author's Response:

She is blind to any fault Michael has, she can't admit that she might have failed him in some way.

Brian and Justin are very strong together, always have been.

Thanks.

I forgot to mention that I very much enjoyed toppy J last chapter...very hot!  I like B's internal commentary too.

I think I like this scene of B saying ILY best of all that I've read.  There was no momentous planning, no angsty buildup, no bomb.  Just a natural slip of the tongue that reflected B's feelings at that moment.  Loved the aftermath too...yum!

How fun to be able to buy any furniture you want.  Counting down to opening day of the office!

On to the next...

Author's Response:

ToppyJustin is the best, I love to read it and I love to write it :D

That's an amazing compliment, thank you so much. I thought it would fit into this verse perfectly.

That's what I thought, so I went a little crazy. I personly would love to have those furnitures.

Thanks.

Not surprised that J is charmingly ruthless with the difficult clients, he convinced B to believe in love didn't he?

Not going to the diner, is it really a great loss to B/J?  But it might be to the wait staff as they are missing the big tips B would leave and the other patrons are probably missing not seeing them anymore!

Imagine being able to have those cars for write-off purposes...I wish!  I look forward to them having some Gus time.

Will J still paint?

Good job, on to the next

Author's Response:

Yeah, Justin is a charming, tenasious little twat, just ask Brian :)

No, not the great loss, but they do miss the whole gang going there sometimes.

I wouldn't mind any of those cars either, but then not many people would ;)

Gus is going to be around more, once the office is ready. Having him in the loft while they work there, is not a good idea, too many papers and other things he could get a hold of.

Justin will still paint, but only as a hobby.

Thanks.

Reviewer: cakdg (Signed) · Date: May 11, 2009 03:01 PM · On: Ted and the contract

I'm glad Ted's on board, although I was rather surprised that he blushed at the J's sexual innuendo.  I mean we're talking about the guy who had to have an intervention to stop whacking off, as well as he made porn movies!  Maybe rehab put some of the virgin back into him...lol

Is Mel pregnant now?  She seemed to be pregnant for so long in the show, that I'd forgotten the timeline of when she was inseminated.  I wonder how she's feeling knowing that the father of her child is a thief?  That was a plotline in the show that I didn't get either, how could they pick Michael to be the father?!

I'm with Ted, I think everyone will be releived when the office is finally ready.  There is only so much stuff you can put away in any working environment and the loft is so open.  It's not like a typical home office/bedroom where you can shut the door and relax in the rest of your home.

Another great chapter!

Author's Response:

I think Ted has a think for blond, blue eyed twinks, and Justin is a terrible flirt ;)

Mel is pregnant, yes. We'll get a reaction once the baby is born, don't worry. Nope, never did understand that decission, Michael over Brian? Really?

Yeah, the situation isn't the best for working, but they are coping.

Thank you.

Damn!  Sue the f**ker!  What a manipulative s.o.b. and his mother isn't much better (must be where he get's it from).  I was always ambivalent about Deb's character throughout the show.  In the beginning I liked her motherly, root for the underdog, persona.  But if anything went wrong in Mikey's life it was Brian's fault.  If anything threatens her son (even if he's in the wrong), kiss that persona goodbye.  I absolutely detested her when she demanded that B do something about Michael so that he would go to David; when B did her bidding (sacrificing his friendship with M to do so), she ignored his pain and told B goodbye, for him to take care of himself...some surrogate mother!  I believe in protecting a child, but not from their own misdeeds (especially not a 30+year old child!).  In the show, Ben was so passive (except when he was on steroids), but I did think he was honorable...I wonder how he will react to this revelation?

I'm so glad Vic stood up for what is right.  It's about time someone stood up to Debbie too.  She was very unfair to try to guilt J into letting Mikey off the hook.  Funny, I was expecting her to somehow blame B for Michael stealing...lol

Well, I'm glad the rest of the family is rallying around (why shouldn't they really?) and that B/J have each other.

Really great chapter, even if it got my blood pressure up! lol

Author's Response:

I know, that scene in the loft after the party bugged the hell out of me too. 'Take care, Kiddo' is such a cold thing to say in that situation.

Ben might surprise you :)

Vic is an honest man, and can't stand when people do things like that. Even if it is his own family.

The rest of the family just had their eyes opened about Michael, and they don't like what they see.

Thank you so much, I hope your blood presure is back to normal.

Good for Deb standing up to Michael!! I'm glad she actually thought about what Justin and Brian said instead of thinking they were picking on her son. Vic throwing in his opinion was great too!

Can't say I blame Ben for leaving, he's too much of a stand up kinda guy to be with Michael after what he did. And that twat had the audacity to blame Justin! He's gonna freak when he finds out they moved into Brian and Justin's building.

Author's Response:

I think Deb had a wake-up call when 'her Sunshine' got so mad at her. She's never seen that before, not since that one time in the diner after the bashing. Vic's oppinon will help too.

Ben was always way too good for whine little manipulative Michael, never saw the attraction myself ;)

Oh yeah, he's going to blow a gasket allright, not least when he finds out that Ben is now rooming with his old roommate!

I love this series!!!!  Are you going to be writing more soon???

Author's Response:

I'm almost always writing. If not on paper (the computer), tehn at least in my head.

It might take a little while before I get to this story again, I have 6 others I'm writing on ;)

I'm glad you like it. Thanks.

I'm so glad the the boys are togehter and that the rest of the family is behind them.

Great Story. please post more soon, I can hardly wait.

Yeah, Deb is dence where Michael is concerned.

I'm so glad you liked this.

fucking deb and her saint of a son. he was in the wrong and she should be know enough to put the blame where the blame is due.

i'm glad justin didn't run off. i'm so proud of him for standing up to her. brian too. she's had it coming for years.

Author's Response:

Indeed, she did have it coming. Michael is anything but a good little innocent boy. He's down right manipulative.

I'm glad you liked it.

Would you fill out a poll on my LJ where I ask which story to update next?

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: March 11, 2009 11:04 PM · On: Deb and the accusations

I know Deb has always defended Michael, but there comes a time when she needs to let go and let him be a grown ass man! Blaming someone else for HIM stealing money from his business partner?! That goes beyond logic and reason and there's no excuse for it.

That took a lot of nerve for her to go to Brian's and put the blame on them for what Michael did and then he lies to her about trying to work things out. I don't blame Justin at all for going off on her. There is nothing like a Justin Storm when that boy is beyond pissed! I'm hoping that she actually heard what they both said and will come to her senses.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much. That was the exact feeling I was trying to convey, apparently I succeeded.

Michael does need to take responsibility for himself, for once.

I'm so happy to see an update on this story.

Debbie needs to face reality that her little Mickey isn't so perfect, and to stop blaming everyone else for his mistakes.

Great chapter

i liked this chapter. i'm glad brian can now say things freely and that he has faith in justin. i checked out the links to the lights and the desks and chairs. i think they're all well and good for everyone but brian's office. something a bit richer would be better for the boss.

Author's Response:

Did you see the price and try to change it into your own currency? They are expencive as all hell, all of them.

I'm glad you liked the chapter, though.

I like this story, I'm not surprised at all about Mikey behaviour but Debbie really had shocked me! I hope she will retrace one's steps, I think Justin was really sad about her comments.

Well, anyway,  good furnitures, compliments! however I would love the pink sofa, even if it will be more like Emmet LOL

Good Banner too ^_^

Author's Response:

Mikey being an ass is nothing new in my stories, I just plain don't like the whiney little shit. Debbie is just trying to protect her son, she has done it his whole life, which is why is so fucking incapable of doing it himself. A mother should stand by her children, but not at the expence of the childs independence or common sence. I think Deb will come around.

I think Brian's eyes would start bleading if he had a pink sofa in his office, he has a soft spot for white once in canon and I wanted to follow that.

Masterglory has made some truly beautiful banners for me, they are stunning.

I love this story and cant wait to see how the monogamy goes, how the business relationship and personal relationship mesh and, of course, how Mikey will dig himself out of the hole he has dug himself.....

Im hoping you will update soon?

Author's Response: I'll try to update soon, but I have so many stories in the works. My muse becomes a bit of a bitch if I ignore one of her bunnies, otherwise I would finish a story before starting a new one ;-)

Sad Michael just keeps messing up and Deb taking his side. Great to see Vic helping.

Author's Response: She's his mother. That's what a mother is supposed to do. I don't think she really likes what he has done, but she doesn't want him in jail. Vic is a very fair minded man. I think he wouldn't like his nephew acting like that.
