Ok...y the hell would he leave the pot of boiling water on...n what the hell was he gonna prepare with boiling water (does that mean he left the food just out there). I get what ur trying to do but sooo many plot holes!
Btw....there is no way Kip could have made Justin's test results positive. like what he switched Justin's blood vile with a positive's person vile...how did he even know? How did he manage that...labs r not places u can just enter without an ID. N then the PI seriously lol the first thing anyone would do is check Justin's place of birth n childhood home...it's not like he is even hiding....r these PIs complete idiots...cuz damn
N y is Justin just jumping into a new relationship. N most importantly being with a Dr. n all y the fuck doesn't he get treated...
Another important point...HIV is not AIDS and AIDS is not HIV...you seem very uninformed about this disease. N if ur gonna incorporate something pls do ur research...like damn this is actually offensive on so many levels.
God this story was good but ur trying too hard with the agnst n it's to the point that is no longer even enjoyable cuz it's just so far fetched n asinine.
All of this could be solved if u didn't make them all such fucking idiots.

OK, I couldn't figure out how to respond to your email... So I just started reading the sequel this morning, and I'm loving it.
I guess I was just frustrate because I need to feel the love... you have to understand my first exposure to qaf was the reunion episode. So I'm all about the love and I don't live in the total angst; I'm trying to let to write angst but it's very hard.
The Ethan episodes I've only watched once and now fast forward through all his parts, I know I'm a total shipper. I think if I watched the show it was on the air over the years my view would be very different.
But because I watched it in two huge marathons, for days in a row (I'm totally obsessed, and a total shipper) and because I don't write cannon ever... so all my stories follow there own paths.
I try and write the characters as I need them to be not necessarily as they were on the show, yet trying to maintain their true selves, more like who they might grow into... also if you've ever read any of my stories you will have noticed that there very graphic... Porn, mostly...
I didn't mean to be so critical, I just meant that sometimes I need for them to get to be together, happy and in love, and calm... and have others parts of the story more exciting and adventuresome.
When it's just a yo-yo of angst it's just too hard emotional for me to feel all that pain. Partly for me because I'm still grieving from a death and I look to the fanfics to escape...
So I didn't mean to take it out on you its just that I read two other stories this week that they never got back together and it just left me so empty and sad...
And this is what I get for reading the comments to get a feel for how things will turn out...

Wow... First I want to say that I love your writing... That being said, I've asked JTSecrets to add an Angst category... I'm all about the love and if its not balanced well I can't take it...
I read the first chapter of the second sequel, and then I read the comments... Big Mistake... I just clicked away... and thought about it for 24 hours, why would I want to read 42 chapters of angst?
Of course I'm slightly hooked by the story and most good writers have me screaming at my computer at some point. I guess I just need to know if there will ever really be any love in these stories? You list them as romance? Yet I never read anything romantic... All I ever felt was pain and frustration...
The last thing I want to do is finish reading this story and feel worst than when I started. I read fanfics to escape and get happy... not depressed...
Anyways I really do love your writing I just can't take all the pain; I need to feel the love as well...

What you said is so very interesting! I'm often amazed how my stories affects people. From the readers who take time to comment, I often find their comments very amazing; that is, how differently they may have preceived something in my story, than what I intended. However, that doesn't bother me one bit, I find it educational as well as fascinating how differently people see things. I learn so much from other people comments, and always appreciate the utmost honesty. And any feedback is most welcome, except for on those very rare ocassions that someone is rude.
So, let me take a brief moment to tell you how differently I see it from you:
You say you don't feel the love or see the romance; I feel just the opposite, and I'll break it down so you can see how I see it differently.
In the first part of the story Justin (a gay man) felt in love with Brian (a straight man) - and in the end he got his man [that to me is very romantic - what are the chances that a gay person falls for a straight person and gets him?]
Also, in the first sequel, Justin believes he's HIV positive and runs away from Brian for fear he might infect him (strong act of love); Brian, on the other hand, runs after Justin because (HIV-positive or not) he stills wants him in his life (another strong ACT of love). I find these ideals in themselves to be romantic, and great acts of love.
In my mind all my stories qualify as romantic. However, I have a knack for misintrepreting the way other people see things, and I'm curious as to what it is you and the other readers here expect when you see a story categorized as romantic. Are you looking for something written in a more light-hearted, sappy, comedic or sentimental flair such as in the style of "Pretty Woman", "While You Were Sleeping", "Sleepless in Seattle"? Are you looking for lots of roses, champagne, sweet talk, etc.?
I suppose my stuff is similar to soap opera style - that is a couples' love being put through the test, and seeing in the end if the love is strong enough to weather all the pain. And also I try to stay somewhat true to the QAF flavor. Seems to me that Brian and Justin went through a lot in that series from Brian rejecting Justin and sometimes seeming rather insensitve (at least on the surface - although there were many hints of how he really felt on the inside). Then there was the bashing, Justin leaving Brian to be with Ethan, Brian's disfuctional family - his own nephew accusing him of sexual assault, and his father saying he should be the one dying instead of him, And then there was Brian's cancer, Justin staying away in Hollywood so long, and in the very end Justin moves to New York without Brian. And that's just the J/B stuff; add the other characters' angst and whoaaaa!
But please drop me a line to tell me how differently you see it, and give me an idea what it is readers are looking for when they pick a stoy categorized as romantic? It could only help improve my writing, and I would so deeply appreicate and suggestions or guidance, you may like to offer. I write hear mostly to express the story that's in me, but I also write for you guys.

Hi Rena, well, how do i start: I loved this story. Really loved it. A lot happened and Brian an Justin always came out of it okay. Tha t HAS to count for something!! Although, i want to say that a lot of people (me included), don't see Brian/Justin as "Just" characters that are unreal. When i started watching QAF, i was in really bad shape and it somehow gave me hope and made me feel better. It was my "new world", well, something like that. So, every story that i read, it means something to me. I didn't like the real ending of the series, absolutely not, and so i love storys with happy endings even more. I don't say i hate your ending now, but i think it's not exactly fair to "your" Justin and the real readers. So, i would LOVE to read a sequel, where i can hope that tey REALLY end up together quite happy at the end. Keep going! Hugs

Author's Response: Thank you Diana for not only taking the time to comment but for expressing your dislike of my story with respect and the utmost class, it is greatly acknowledged as well as appreciated. First, of all I like to say, I did not intentionally write a ending that i thought readers did not like... why would I want do that? I wrote an ending here that I thought left the story open for a possible sequel, and left to the reader for intrepretation. Also, my ending was in no way out of 'left field' it was in sync with the rest of the story, so therefore I don't think it's fair to accuse me of being unfair to the reader. Throughout the story including in the abstract (summary notes) it was hinted that Brian was a straight man that struggled with his sexuality. Even Justin constantly referred to Brian as the 'straight' man/guy. Women were always in and out his life in this story... the med. asst, the saleswoman at the mall, the women in Canada, the woman in the supermarket, and constant mention of women of his past including Sheila, Lindsay and Mary Jinn. And in the last chapter of the story it even went as far to say that Brian was constantly running into women from his past who would give him slack and it bothered him. Based on that, I feel it's unfair to me as the author to say I was unfair to the reader, when I kept in pace with the story. I don't feel that the readers should have taken so much offense to the end. However, that is a risk a writer takes with every word written. If an author can't handle that he/she should put the keyboard up. As a writer here and all the other writers here we write what our imagination shows us. No money is paid to any of the authors that post here (I'm sure I have not made a thin dime) we post here to entertain. I myself have read stories I've really enjoyed here, and I read some I don't enjoy. But every story I read here that I did not like, I still applaud the author with the utmost respect and admiration. One, for just simply taking the time to share the story. Two, for keeping my interest for as long as that may have been (that is saying a lot). And I am never under no circumstances angry with or feel the author has treated me unfairly... what the authors write here is a fragment of their imagination... no way would I insult another person's imagination, you can't help what your imagination reveals to you... that's part of who you are. If all who read here also posted here they could better relate to the authors and therefore better respect what they do rather they like the story of not. Then, they would know how much time and energy the writer put into just trying to entertain others. I surely do, and I'm stil having FUN here because FUN IS EXACTLY WHAT IT's about, like I said in an early response... Justin and Brian are fictious characters... they aren't real... its all in the name of FUN, no one should ever get upset here... its not worth it. To Rena, also there was no intercourse with these women, just fingering and blow-jobs w/condom... it's debatable whether you can give HIV through blowjobs. In the QAF series they never used condoms for a blowjob, that I'm aware of. I mean when Brian got syphillis he believed it was from a blowjob.

Author's Response: No, Sjm... you misunderstood and it may be my fault but in this Alternate Universe Babylon is in New York. In the first series Come on Brian, Dance.... although it wasn't spelled out that Meat Hook and Babylon were in NYC, it was never said that Justin and Brian went to Pittsburgh or left NYC to attend these clubs but it could be naturally assumed that they were in NYC. For one, if you recall in COBDWM, when Justin thought his relationship had permanently ended with Brian he hung out a Babylon almost every night. So one was to naturally assume that Justin was not going to Pittsburgh every day just to hang out in Babylon, and that Babylon was nearby. Also Justin didn't have a car back then. Also in this chapter it makes it clear that Kip is Brian's attacker. Sorry for the miss up! It was a grave error on my part not to make that point absolutely clear in both stories. I apolize to all.

Great story. Just a note: I think you mean "soot" instead of the word smut when referring to the fire at the loft.
Author's Response: Thank you very much for taking the time to comment and tell me how much you enjoy the story as well as point out the typo. I got a few such tidbits here and there. The systems is not working at it best, sometimes while you're editing you are knocked out of the system and you think the edit took place to later found that it hasn't, same thing with adding chapters. I've even found myself adding the same chapter twice because of the stalls with the system. I'll try to find that typo and fix it if I don't run into too much of a hassle. Thanks again... HAVE FUN!

Wow, so much has happened! Hooray for Justin finding out he was negative afterall! I just can't imagine the betrayal he was feeling when he found out the truth about Dr. Campbell. Speaking of Dr. Campbell, when Justin arrived at his house to talk to him and the lights were out, I knew something had happened to him. Poor Justin had a range of emotions going on. He had just been shocked about his non-HIV status and then finds the man he's been with for months dead. I was glad and kinda knew that Brian would follow him and its a good thing he did. Now, back to NY and dealing with that worm Kip! Great chapter!

Okay... Wendy should be fired. She had an opportunity to tell Justin about him not being HIV positive and she didn't say anything. Author's Response: Poor Wendy, is between what's refer as 'between a rock and a hard place'... not only would it take a lot of guts for her to do what is right. She'd have to approach it the right way. Actually so far believe it or not her first couple of actions were in the right direction. She did call the lab requesting the second tests. And she was right not to approach Justin with her suspension until she was 100% sure of the fraud. Now step three is approach the doctor and relay to him what Greg from R&J told her, and ask him, if he'd like her to bring the error in the report to Greg's attention (not only would this tell her rather fraud is being admit it would also give the doctor the opportunity to still do right by Justin...may even force him too, unless we really got a 'psycho' on our hands, then Wendy could (even) be in for more than she bargained for... YIKES!!!!

When I first read this series I thought for sure it would be Brian who strays. I thought he would be curious and want to experience more of "gay" sex with other men. You totally surprised me by making this issue with Justin and HIV. On top of that, this twist with the doctor not telling Justin he's negative makes me sick to my stomach (but a great plot). I'm with the others...I hope someone tells Justin or Brian soon. I can't stand this...poor Brian. I hope you either continue the series or make this one long enough that B/J endure a couple of "issues" without either of them flipping out and leaving. This is almost too much angst!

He knows he is dying, but he still wants to continue to lie to Justin about him not being HIV positive. *sighs* He figures he would be dead in a couple of months anyways so why bother. Author's Response: Dr. Campbell is his doctor, as long as no one else intervene he can go on for years convincing Justin that he's HIV positive (some HIV positive people never developes full blown AIDS). And not only that if Dr. Campbell is deviant enough it would not be difficult for him to infect Justin with the disease, if he wanted to. Let's just hope our doctor won't take it that far.

I just meant that he chose dr campbell over brian and he told brian that dr campbell is perfect for him, even if he didnt want to put brian at risk he didnt need to go and date someone straight away, and even consider moving in with him, how could he hurt brian like that, once brian found him and said he still wanted him he didnt need to tell brian he had found someone else as if what he and brian shared meant nothing and hes just found someone new, and he has been so busy with his new bf he even forgot brians kids bday, so I think brian deserves better but we will see what happens lol
Author's Response: Great observation Cammie, I see your point. However, it's not so simple, not so black and white, there's a lot of emotion going on with all these characters, love, guilt, insecurity and fear on Justin's part. He fears he has this disease and that because he's a allergy sufferer he will deterioate quickly. His love for Brian makes him think he's protecting him. His guilt for sleeping with so man men, HIV is his punishment? Insecurites tells him that Brian doesn't really want him or better off w/o him. The doctor is only his perfect clutch. He's already got HIV so JUstin can't give it to him/and he's a physician...he'd keep Justin healthy.

He has only moved on geographically he has not moved on emotionally... he still hung on my Brian, he thinks what is doing is for Brian's own good. He believes doing an unselfish act. Brian on the other hand is older than Justin, confident and much more sophisticate.... he knows better.
