Loved this one! Such a great piece of in character story telling, and so much fun to read! I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing more from Melisandre as I can imagine she’s probably had to intervene again to stop jealous MM messing things up at other points in time. Author's Response: Thanks. I think it was a pretty good way of describing "puppy dog eyes" Mikey. I think BJ were always destined to meet. MM just cleared the way a little.

Author's Response: Thank you. Some stories I slave over, but this one is one of the ones just came. I rarely think of these ones as having anything to do with "my" imagination. These stories are, to me, like little gifts. I get an image or a phrase in my mind (in this case, MM in the diner sipping tea and looking vexed) and it sort of takes off from there.

Author's Response: Thank you, Kim. It really came out of nowhere. I was trying out ideas for a Halloween story and got this image of Marilyn and off it went. One of those that kind of wrote itself.

Author's Response: Thank you. I like her too. In fact, the first fanfic I ever read (not just QAF fanfic, the absolute first - I had no idea such a thing existed) was centered around Marilyn. It led me into a whole new world, and I've had a soft spot for her ever since.

Wren, This was absolutely brilliant. It says so much about Mutt Mikey. (Loved all your names for everyone.) Did Mikey conveniently leave out in the retelling of events to Emmett, that Brian asked for Justin's opinion? We all know the instant dislike Michael felt for Justin. Besides, Justin was certainly right when he said, "The kid wouldn't last a day on the playground with a name like Abraham." Your story proved it. It's no surprise Mikey was dealing with someone on the dark side. Your heart is a telling place.

Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed. It came totally out of the blue when I was casting around ideas for a Halloween fic. Suddenly there it all was. Oh, and yes, of course Mikey left out the detail of Brian asking Justin about the name. I figured he'd either ignore it or whine about it, but if possible he'd ignore or lie about it - just like he did about Brian "begging" him to come to the hospital. And Brian and Mel's spite towards each other gives him the perfect cover in this case.
