Brian getting inspiration in church!  You made the unbelievable seem believeable.  Great job on telling us what is going on in Brian's mnd.  Bill

Author's Response:

Brian is a sceptic/heretic throughout, so he isn't expecting to get his inspiration from a Church, either. I drew quite heavily on the scene where Brian visits a Church when Michael is in critical danger after the Bombing of Babylon. We also see Brian thanking God after shouting at his mother during the Cancer Arc. Brian does not leave the Church as a convert, but he needed this time away from his life to consider his life and future as a father. Thanks for reading.

Delighted to see a new story posted from you!  Beautifully done.  I always loved the difference in Brian's expression when he was with his son; the tenderness there. What a contrast between that, and his relationship with his own father.  Thank you for posting this. I enjoyed it very much.  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Thank you for such an encouraging response. The deep, unconditional love Brian has for Gus was a huge source of inspiration from watching 1x16 and 1x17. Gus means the entire world to him,not just based on biological ties, but because Gus inspires him to do better, and be better. He doesn't want Gus suffering the same broken home. I think Gus brings out the very best in Brian. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
