Yes, these two men definitely rescued each other and continue to do so.
I overheated right along with most of the gang! I'm looking forward to the next chapter and their visit to the loft, when Brian and Justin will act out the aspects of the fantasy that Justin kept private. 😋

I love the way you tie in Justin's thought about Titanic being released when he was 14 to his tendency toward melodrama.
I also appreciate his introspection about the bashing and how it affected him, particularly in regard to damaging his self-confidence and, hence, his relationship with Brian. I especially like Justin's recognition that PTSD from the bashing affected both of them and that there was probably a failure to listen on both sides. The emphasis on their similarities, magnetic attraction to one another, and compatibility were spot-on, IMO.

I discovered your incredible story a few days ago and had to go back and reread to get the full effect.
You really make me feel like I am Justin, having his thoughts and reactions.
It rings true that after the Ethan debacle, Justin feels a bit of an outsider with the gang, something I don't think any other author has expressed presviously. That he had an uneasy coexistence and business relationship with Michael, yes, but not how he felt in regard to Emmett and Ted. It's telling that he had become the newcomer and Ben the insider.
The gang's reactions and personalities really shine through and fit into canon. And, of course, they--including Brian--are agog to hear about Justin's favorite fantasy. I'm all ears too, lol.

It must be such a satisfying feeling to be able to put words to paper and weave a story that others enjoy so much. I am always humbled by the talent here and this story is no exception. Since I was small I have always loved to read. Always. There is just something about reading that is unlike anything else in the world.
The best thing is when you find a book or a story that grabs you and draws you in...it's like your birthday and Christmas wrapped up in one. It's a gift unlike any other and I thank you for this gift. Looking forward to more.
