I still can't get over how wonderful this is! You make sure that no stone is left untruned. I love the way you make the characters speak to one another, it's turly dazzaling! Everyone is so relistlic, just like in the show! You keep everyone the same person. Well, Brain's a little more likealeb in this, but it's still so good! They do what they would do in the show! Like Emmet would SO try n' lighten the mood even when he's close to teras. AGH, IT'S AMAZING! I love it so much! Keep wiritng!!!

Wow! What an amazing story, I am so sad it has ended.  I hope you continue to write many more QaF stories, it will be a loss to your fans  if you don't. Thank you.

Thanks IceCupcake for this touching love story. Your story is the third QAF fanfic I read. I just knew about QAF last year and started reading the fics this year. I have to say with all my heart that Missing is one of the few stories can make me cry while I'm reading it. You really did a good job and passed your emotion to the readers. :)

I love this story to have a sequel as I love to keep reading this good story and see Brian and Justin's love develop and Justin heals. I know you stop the story here is good enough. I just hope you have sequels. Am I too gready?:p

Anyway, I really like your style of writing so please keep writing more storied for us to read. :)

Sad story but powerfully written. I was wondering if you ever considered a sequel to this? i would like to see them more together in it, and bring Britin into the picture since the loft now has bad memories of John and Bulldog (don't like that he got away but I get your reasoning there). Also sad that there was no Kinnetic but the writer switch was interesting.

Hope you at least consider a sequel.

What a wonderful story!  I was sucked in immediately, and couldn't stop reading, which is why I never left any comments after the previous chapters (sorry!).

Sadly, I know that human trafficking exists, and I doubt the things you wrote are too far from what really happens.  Your story is haunting and having justin and Brian as the main characters made it all the more fascinating to read.

You did an amazing job, and I appreciate your notes at the end of the story.  I couldn't have imagined an ending that tied up everything in a nice, neat bow.  I like the few unanswered questions, because I believe no matter what happens, Justin and Brian will fight to stay together.

Author's Response:

Oh don't apologize!  I'm just glad you liked it all the way through!  (I do the same thing when I get really into a story).

I did attempt to make it as realistic as I could.  Granted, I don't have any experience in human trafficking, but I researched what I could and fit Brian and Justin into it as best I could.  I'm really glad you enjoyed the way it came out.  XD

I'm really glad you like the ending as well.  I had one that was a little more cheery and optimistic, but I didn't feel that would hold with the rest of the story so it's good to hear you enjoyed the one I went with.  And I agree with you, it doesn't matter what comes their way, they're going to stick together.

Thanks so much for letting me know what you thought!!  <3

I hadn't noticed this update. This was the best chapter to me if not a favorite. You ended this fic perfectly. I was upset that Bulldog got away, but that is a reality of life. Brian and Justin were still not having sex, but that is to be expected. That he needed therapy was very realistic, and I could believe that Justin would have forgiven Michael because he may have set the ball rolling, but, ultimately, what happened to Justin wasn't Michael's fault.

I loved what you did with Brian in this story because I could see him changing because of the situation. I have to admit, this was a rough read because of all the sexual violence. I can't even watch SVU. But the story itself is worth the horrors I had to go through with Justin.

Excellent story and hope to read more of your work.

Happy holidays!

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you liked the ending and saw it for what it was.  I was worried a lot of people were going to be upset that it wasn't all happy and dreamy...

I'm so glad you thought it was worth reading even with all that bad stuff.  I knew it would be tough for some people, so I tried to balance out the violence with vague descriptions.  (In my first draft of this it was a lot worse.  I must have been in a dark place or something because the second time I read through it I got myself sick and had to take most of it out).

Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed it!  <3

Reviewer: xlovelytragedy (Anonymous) · Date: December 23, 2013 07:41 AM · On: Love Waits.

Oh, I was so NOT ready for this story to be over. I'm sad to see it end but thrilled with the conclusion. I've loved every second of this wonderful fic. You did a brilliant job, and I hope to read more fanfictions written by you in the future.

You chose a great ending point. You answered all the questions I had and wrapped up the conclusion in a realistic way. I'm glad that Justin is learning to heal and attending therapy sessions to help him work through it all. I'm very thankful he has the support and love of Brian and the family. I envision a happy, healthy future for him and Sasha now that they are finally free.

I'm also very relieved that you did not have Justin magically cured over night. He went through a major trauma, and things are not going to get better for him right away. People do not go through the sort of things he went through and immediately get over it in a short span of time. Sometimes it takes years to recover and, even then, they are not the same person they were before their ordeal. Of course, everyone handles their situation differently, but the way that Justin is handling his pertains to the kind of person he is.

I like what you did with Bulldog. In the real world, men like him walk free all the time. It's unfair and terrifying, but it happens all too often. It's of little comfort to me that he left Sasha and Justin alone because I keep wondering how many other people he's hurt since he reintegrated himself into the outside world. He's total scum, and I like to think that karma will catch up to him eventually.

Justin forgiving Michael so easily is perfectly in character. He has always forgiven Michael because he knows how much the man means to Brian. He would never make Brian choose between him and Mikey or take sides in arguments. He's truly selfless with Brian in that aspect of their relationship. He could have blamed Michel for the rest of his life if he wanted, but that's just not who Justin is. He lets it go and moves on. He's stronger for it, and no one can say that he isn't the bigger man compared to Michael.

It's very important to me that you mentioned that Justin didn't blame himself. The blame rests solely on John and his minions. Yes, Justin ran away to New York. Yes, Brian and Michael both influenced that decision. BUT none of them are at fault for what happened to Justin. No one asks to be raped. No one gave them permission to hurt him that way. Regardless of the bad choices they all made, John had no right to do any of the things he did. Victim blaming and shaming is something I feel very passionately about. I just won't stand for that kind of despicable bullshit, ya know? Luckily, you had none of that in your story. You get how wrong it is, and I'm so glad that you do!

Thank you for this great story. I hope my long reviews didn't annoy you too much. As a first year literature major, I'm a big fan of words. I analyze every thing I read and pick up on foreshadowing and symbolism rather quickly. That's the reason I was able to accurately predict some of the happenings in your story. You dropped hints, and I got them! Your hard work and excellent writing did not go unnoticed. I enjoyed this story immensely. Once again, thanks for writing it. xx <3

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you liked it!!  And sorry, but all good (I hope?) things must come to an end. XD

And yes, the future is looking bright for them both.  However, I still feel here are a lot of things that can be said about what happens to them both so there is a possibility that I'll make a sequel to this in the future, but we'll just have to see.  I'm not much of a sequel person.

I'm glad you approved of Justin's final situation.  I know a lot of people wanted a rainbow and unicorn ending, but that isn't what this story is.  I do believe that the ending it optimistic though, so I'd hoped that'd be enough for everyone.  I'm glad i was for you.  :)

And Bulldog doesn't deserve to be free.  Not at all.  But like you said, it's thereal world and people like him get away.  Which, in my mind, is exactly how he wanted it.  He wasn't a high member of the oganization; just a bodyguard.  But he got to do whatever he wanted to the victims and then walk away at the end of it all.  In my head, Bulldog was more dangerous than John because of that.

And I agree.  Throughout the entire show there were countless times I wanted to reach in and strangle Michael because of something he said to Justin, while at the same time I wanted to applaud Justin because he just brushes it off and takes the high road.  I don't think Justin is perfect either, but in that respect, he definitely did the right thing.

And I hate victim blaming! It makes me sick and so I never, ever, ever, ever want to put that in any story I write ever.  Justin didn't do anything to deserve what happened to him.  No one deserves that; so you'll never see me say that.  XD

I loved reading your reviews, so don't apologize for them at all.  And now it all makes sense!  I'm really glad you were able to pick up on everything because that's what really makes it worth it!

Thank you soooo much!  <3  <3

WoW! I waited to read till this story was completed and let me you tell ya it was worth it. I think that this and Man Ruin's have to be the best fan fiction that I have read this year. I think the ending was perfect, Justin needs time to heal both emotionally and physically from years of physical, mental, and sexual abuse. The wonderful part is that Brian will be there for Justin no longer how long it takes. I hope this isn't your LAN fan fiction, but if it is you have left us with a beautiful story and I thank you. Also, I plan to read the others you have posted! Thanks again..

Author's Response:

Oh wow!  That's a wonderful thing to hear.  Lol

I'm so glad to hear you liked it!  And yes, you were able to see the silver lining behind the clouds, Brian and Justin are together and they love each other.

We'll have to see if this is my last one.  I hope it isn't either because B/J are my OTP, but I'm just going to be really busy the next few months.

I like happy endings, so this story didn't quite do it for me. Still nice to see that Brian stuck by Justin no matter what.

You might want to fix Justin's schooling. In the beginning you have Justin's parents saying he was Valedictorian. Then in the end you said he was getting his GED. Very confusing.

Author's Response:

I'm sorry you didn't like the ending.  I know it isn't ideal, but I wanted to keep it in tune with the rest of the story.  But it's also because I want to leave open the possibility of writing a sequel.  So it's a little bit of both.  XD

As for the school, that's probably because I didn't go to American High School, so I'm not sure I understand it exactly.  My friend told me that at her school they said who was the valedictorian and salutatorian at the beginning of the senior year and unless something happens to change their positions they know who they are that early on.  Apparently that's not how all schools do it?  So when I said he was valedictorian that was what I meant, but because he was kidnapped he didn't get to finish school he had to get his GED.  Does that make sense?

Well – I am not as forgiving as Justin.  What Michael did was

terrible.  However there are others that share some of the

blame, such as Brian.  How could he throw Justin out without

him having a place to go?  You just can’t do that.  How about

Justin?.  He was wrong to New York, and he was wrong to go to

that club/party alone.  Of course John is the one who gets

most of the blame.

Anyway, thanks for the story.  All has been resolved well

enough.  It was terrific reading and thanks for NOT going into

more detail of the torture suffered by Justin and Sasha.  I know

enough.

     DavidR

Author's Response:

I agree on every count.  Everyone has to share some of the blame; but most of it lays on John.

And thanks for letting me know you liked it!  I know some of the gory details were a little hard, but I did try to make sure it wasn't too disturbing.  XD

Thank you!!  <3

Wow...I honestly didn't realize that this was the final chapter until I was finished reading it. While it is a good ending, it's very reminiscent of the shows actual ending. It's very open and leaves a lot of questions unanswered. This is such a wonderful story and I truly understand you wanting to make it as realistic as possible, but I can't help but feel like there is more story to be told here.

Imo I think that Bulldog got off way to easy and although he wasn't directly to blame for what happened to Justin, Michael was still forgiven to quickly as were his parents. The rest of the family have a lot of making up to do as well, being that they had initially told Brian to forget about Justin. It's just so unfair that the one person who never forgot about him, is the one who is suffering the most from the after affects.

I know that life can be shitty like that sometimes, and you have given us a great reminder of this here. I truly hope that you have the time to grace us with another fic sometime in the future, and that you consider writing an epilouge to this amazing story.

Author's Response:

I agree, there definitely is more story to be told.  And if I were to ever write a sequel to a story, it would be this one.  I don't see that happening any time soon because I'm going to be so busy over the next few months, but it is a possibility.

And yeah, the whole situation isn't fair to anyone.  Of course, some people are benefitting from that.  XD  But like I said, there are some things I left unfinished because I do want to leave the option open.

Thank you so much for your support!!  I'm so glad you stuck throughout the story and always let me know what you think.  <3

Ugh! I'm literaly in tears over here very beautiful ending. I understand justins quick willingness to forgive michael. yes it was a mistake to not tell brian immedately but it wasnt his fault or even his wish for jus to be hurt like he was. I hopein time Justin will want to make love to brian and not calling him brian the way he used to say master. I think hat perhaps at a young age bulldog was abused himself or saw abuse that made him the way he was because I remember reading he liked some of the things he did. maybe he is just wired like most serial killers are said to be. Im happy both Sasha and Justin are on the road to recovery and he reunited with the taylors. (craig included but goodness knows why.) Im glad it was differant then how I thought craig was going to be I thought hed say it was justins fault because he was gay and he deserved it or something of that nature anyways wonderful story I loved it from Justin running away (even though it was sad and hard to read at times) to him back with brian at christmas time. :) please grace us with another great story soon Happy holidays!

Later.

Author's Response:

Awww, thank you!

And you're exactly right.  Was what Michael did right? No.  But does that mean it's his fault Justin was taken?  No.  He isn't so bad.

And ironically, I always imagined John was more able to change than Bulldog.  Bulldog, in my head was pathological.  He DID enjoy some of the things he did.  So did John, for that matter, but his emergent feelings for Justin confused him and changed his persepctive, even if it didn't change his actions - but in time it might have.  That all doesn't matter now because John is dead and Bulldog is gone, but that's always what I thought lol.

Thank you so much for all your wonderful reviews and for letting me know how much you enjoyed.

You certainly accomplished to make us think and feel something during, about and after the story. I do like the ending as it is, same as the original plotline. Makes you keep this story in mind over the ending and imagine the story progress each for it s own.

Thanks for taking the time to provide us with this wonderful story.

Author's Response:

That was one of my goals; to let everyone imagine in their own way how Justin progresses and how their relationship grows.  I'm so glad you liked the ending how it was as well as the story!  I'd hate to keep you guys reading this whole time and have you not like the way it ends...

I would have rather Brian keep the family away, since they gave up on him.  But I

waited patiently for your story . I did enjoy it.

Author's Response:

I can understand that.  The family wasn't very supportive...But this was how I thought of it; Justin will need all the support that he can get and Brian knew that.  So, even if the family had lost faith early on, at least they're making an effort now.

Thank you so much for all the support!  And I'm so glad you liked it!  <3

It's nice that Brian is still writing and taking care of Justin.  What with everything he and Sasha have been through it's going to take a good while before they both feel safe enough to care for someone.  But Brian seems willing to wait, so it's all good.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you liked the ending.  :)  And yes, if there's one thing Brian does very well, it's take care of Justin.  Especially after someone has hurt him.  Thank you for letting me know what you think!!  <3

Reviewer: xlovelytragedy (Anonymous) · Date: December 20, 2013 09:21 AM · On: Let's Make a Deal.

Thank goodness Brian is alright. I can breathe easier now knowing that he received medical attention and regained consciousness. Of course I knew he wouldn't care about his own injuries once he discovered Justin was missing again. I've always loved the way Brian had a protective nature towards Justin. There's always been a corner of his armored heart reserved especially for that boy. I'm glad he's not trying to hide that anymore, and he's openly expressing how much Justin means to him.

The family actually proved to be of help for once! They did something right by alerting the police department of Justin's situation with John. They're usually responsible in some way for Brian and Justin parting ways, so it's nice to see them trying to keep them together. I'm just really glad that they're still being supportive and offering help and comfort. As long as they continue to do that without filling Brian with doubt then I'm happy they're around.

So much for Anthony turning into a decent human being. It's great that he wants to change, but it's crap that he wants to do so simply to get the man he wants to love him back. It's actually a bit pathetic. I feel sad for him. I want to hit him and recommend a good therapist so he can work out this co-dependency issue he has. He should want to better himself for HIMSELF. Not to earn the attention of a guy.

If he were to change solely for Brian, he'd only end up resenting and hating him in the long run. I can't love a character whose entire life revolves around a relationship. Yes, Brian and Justin would do anything for one another but they ultimately still have personalities and hopes and dreams that don't rely solely on each other. I don't think I'll ever really like Anthony until he learns to do things for himself and to love himself without seeking validation from outside sources. I feel sympathy for him, but that's about it.

As for Bulldog, I don't think we've seen the last of him. What kind of life could he possibly have now? All he knows how to do is murder, rape, and kidnap innocent people. I don't think he's going to magically be rehabilitated. Especially given the fact that he's a pedophile.

He got off on torturing kids. And the comment he made about Justin being tiny- as in easy to dominate- unnerved me. He's going to continue to hurt people as long as he's alive, and Justin and Sasha are easy targets. He doesn't have to hunt for them. He knows exactly where they are... I don't trust him, and I won't be happy until he's as dead as John.

I know Justin kept up his end of the deal, but Carl seemed dubious about Justin's claims that Bulldog was dead. After all, he told them he wasn't an eyewitness to his death, and they have no body to back up his story, so what if they decide to search for Bulldog and Bulldog thinks that Justin sold him out?! I assume Sasha already gave a description to the police as to what Bulldog looks like that they could go on. They could definitely pursue the leads they have now. The whole situation just doesn't sit well with me.

Great chapter, as always :) I'm hoping Brian and Justin will finally get a chance to get through the healing process without any more instances of violence and near death experiences. I'm skeptical though because I do NOT believe that Bulldog is going to leave them alone. Pessimist here, remember?! I hope for the best but expect the worst. We shall see if Graham stays out of their lives...

Author's Response:

Holy moly...I think this is the longest review I've ever had in my life.  XD  (Not that I'm complaining of course, I love reading it).

And yes, Brian, even from the very beginning, has been protective of Justin.  He kicked out a trick when Justin's mom was chasing him.  He let him crash on his 'couch' after his dad attacked them.  He still barely knew Justin at this time and was always watching out for him.  I love it, and its one of the reasons I believe they're soulmates.  XD

Oh the family!  They're a bunch of idiots sometimes, but they do get some things right.  And after everything that's happened to Brian and Justin I doubt they'll be doubtful Brian's the man for their Sunshine.  He's more than proven himself.

And yes, I was torn in several ways about how to end Anthony's story.  Several times I wanted him to gain his independence from Brian and Roger completely and become his own man, and I believe that that will happen for him someday.  But he's been depending on both of tem for so long that that isn't going to change in a few weeks.  So yes, Anthony is going to school to impress Brian, but I believe that when he gets there he'll realize how many other options there are and just what he is capable of doing on his own.  I have hope for him.  XD

Bulldog's ending will be interesting, I believe.  You'll just have to see when the last chapter goes up.  ;)

Thanks so much for all your kind words.  Brian and Justin definitely have a lot of healing to do, but they'll get the chance to do it.  It'll just take some time.

Just them saying I love you to each other would have made a good ending..but of course there still unfinished business that need to be  address /answer from Michael and Brian, they owe it to Justin before B/J can move on. One being for Brian Anthony ( one of two dumbass mistake Brain ever made) Let's hope it's done before justin hear it somewhere or by by someone else other than Brian. Good story.

Author's Response:

Coincidentally enough, the end of this chapter was at the end of the next chapter as the end of the story.  I thought it would have made a good ending too.  But then there were some major changes I made to the epilogue and this had to be moved here and could no longer serve as the end.  :(

There are definitely a lot of things they have to relearn about each other, but they'll have plenty of time for that.

Thanks so much for letting me know what you think!  <3

Hahaha!  A fitting sentence indeed.  He did get off kind of easy, didn't he?  None of the torture he put Justin through...But Justin's better than that.  :)

Hi, I just wanted to review and say how much I'm enjoying this story. Maybe enjoying isn't always the right word as sometimes I've been cringing and reading it with just one eye open etc. but it's a really good idea. Well done!! I love your stuff and you have really innovative plots. How do you come up with them???? I'm sure we won't have seen the last of Bulldog!!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!!  Haha, sometimes that's exactly how I was writing it.

As for the plots, I'm not sure.  I can't say they just come to me, because I have a lot of help.  Sometimes I get the idea from other fics.  In the case of this story I had been on a marathon of slave!Justin fics and thought to myself 'hey, he's always Brian's slave.  What if he wasn't?'  The pleasurable side of Justin's slavery would be gone because no one would want to see him submit to anyone other than Brian and...eventually this was born.  XD  Other times I'll be really bored in class and think of dramatic scenes I could write between B/J and then a fic arises out of that, which is how The Return was created.  They come about lots of different ways lol.

Thanks again for letting me know you liked it so much!  <3

Thank goodness Brian is going to be okay and Justin is back in the fold.  I just hope that letting Bulldog go free doesn't come back to bite them.

Author's Response:

I could never kill Brian.  Well...that's not true.  I could, but not in this fic.  :)

And Justin definitely took a gamble, we'll have to see how it pays off.

Thank you!!  <3

I actually think Bulldog isn't going to bother them...but you tend to enjoy torturing us, so I am not holding my breath. I liked this chapter a lot...nice to finally breathe again!

Well my friend you have orchestrated one hell of a conundrum here. Bulldog...oh excuse me Graham, can't be trusted. He has every reason to believe that Justin will double cross him in some way so I believe Sasha and Sunshine are still not quite out of the woods just yet.

We'll just have to see, won't we?  ;)

That was a terrific chapter.  Yes – I am glad John is dead, and

I am glad it was Justin who killed him.  I had assumed John’s

death would happen close to what happened as once Justin

hid the knives for future protection, that was a good hint.

Hopefully Brian will survive and Justin, Sasha, and Brian will

all heal together.  It was good to see Sasha again, and good

that she is now with Debbie.

What I don’t get yet, is the pain in Justin’s neck and his

fainting or whatever happened to him.   Hopefully it was just a

tranquilizer.  We will see.

Thanks again for the terrific chapter.

    DavidR

PS:  I wonder what will happen if anything, once Justin meets

Michael.  Let’s hope that with John dead, Justin puts the

knives back.  Else – well who knows? I wouldn’t mind at all if

we skip the Michael visit.

Author's Response:

Thanks you!  I was worried some people not might want John to be dead, but didn't want Justin to become a murderer.  But I believe that in order for him to really move past John, he needed to be the one to do it; and it seems like everyone else feels the same way.  XD

As for Justin, everything isn't over quite yet...

And truth be told I haven't figured out exactly handle Justin and Michael's visit yet.  XD  I need to, quickly...But we'll see.

Thank you so much!!  <3

That's my Justin,  did what he had to do.  Anthony is full of shit I don't belive one word why can't both brothers go far far away Roger is no better than anthony thinking anthony has every right to hate justin, no he has no right to think anything about justin  but to stay out of thier life but he won't after hearing about Brian I'm sure of that. good story.

Author's Response:

He needed to take back the power John had over him.  So in my opinion he deserved to kill him.  XD  As for Anthony and Roger, they aren't quite out of the picture.  So we'll have to see.

Thanks so much!!  <3

So glad I finally got the chance to catch up on this story! These last few chapters have been EPIC!!! Justin's memory returned, Sasha found Justin, and John is now dead. It all happened so fast. I have never found myself so enthralled by a story before. I haven't been bored with this fic even once :)

It's nice to see that Anthony is trying to become a respectable human being. Maybe he'll turn into someone who doesn't annoy the hell out of me by the end of this tale. He's certainly on the right track to doing so.

I was as surprised as Brian was I think when Debbie remembered Justin's favorite foods. I honestly thought that they had forgotten all about him. The anger I initially felt about them giving up on Justin has dissipated for the most part, and I'm just relieved to see them all being supportive to Brian and Justin.

The ending of this chapter is what I'm still shaking about. I'm glad that Justin was the one to kill John. He took back control from that man and fought back. I was really proud of him for that. But I'm scared to death for him and Brian now! Brian is freaking bleeding, and I assume that John's henchman just tranquilized Justin.

Is he going to take Justin back to the center?! Is Brian going to be okay?! Who in the heck is going to help them?! If you haven't noticed, I'm seriously on edge right now. Ugh, I can't even begin to full express how much I love this story. I adore it even when it rips my heart out like it's doing now. You're doing a wonderful job with it. I am both excited and terrified to read the next chapter. I'm hoping that everything turns out okay...

Author's Response:

There you are!  I thought you'd disappeared!  Lol  I'm glad you've liked the last few chapters so much!  <3  And I'm so glad this story has kept up with the excitment.  I'd hate for any of my readers to be bored.

And we'll see.  I mean...he is a pretty annoying person.  But all he wants is for Brian to love him.  That isn't too bad is it?

And yeah, I know compared to Brian the family's reaction didn't meet up to expectation, but I never intended for them to forget, or not care, about Justin.  He may have only been in their family for a short time, but he was still a part of it.  They just felt obsessing over it as Brian had was pointless; and they were kind of right because they weren't going to find him no matter how much they looked.

And well...I haven't been able to hide anything from you for the entire story...so I doubt I'll be able to now.  XD  We'll just have to see what happens when Justin wakes up.

Thank you soo much!  And know that as much as you look forward to my chapters, I look forward to hearing from you.  Every nuance and hint I've slipped into the stroy you've caught onto and so it's very rewarding to know that all the hard work I put into even those small things wasn't a waste.

This story definitely does not move slow. You did a great job with this chapter and with Justin getting his revenge. I'm a little worried about Anthony, though. He got over Brian mighty quickly.

I'm glad you think so.  I figured Justin deserved it.  As for Anthony...We'll just have to see.  XD

John was dispatched far quicker than expected.  So I guess some other peril will come along to take his place. But what's this about Michael coming around to see Justin?  Didn't Brian tell him to go away and never come back?

Author's Response:

Ahhh, too easy huh?  Well we'll just have to see what happens to Justin next.

And he did.  And I intend for him to stick by those words, but he still wants Michael to apologize to Justin for Justin's sake.  After that, we'll just have to see.

Thank you!!  <3

My what an intense chapter.  I'm glad the Deb's taking Sasha in, that fit in just perfectly.  Roger is going to be an interpol agent a step up!  Anthony has turned his life around which is good news.  Then you up it a notch by having John find them and shoot Brian!!!  Thank goodness for the knife, and Justin being able to use it.  But now we have to wait for another chapter to find out if Brian survives!

Author's Response:

This chapter was pretty loaded, wasn't it?  I'm glad you think Sasha being with Debbie is a good choice, I actually debated for a while what to do with her when I thought about how she and Debbie would fit together.  And yeah, Justin needed to take back the power from John so I'm glad you liked it so much.  :)

:)

Author's Response:

Haha, that was the idea.  :)  In order for Justin to really heal he needed to take back control from John, and I felt the only way for him to really do that was for him to kill him.  That way he'd know John was never coming back.

Thanks for letting me know you liked it!  <3

Once again a salt in sugar conclusion. It's wonderful that Justin had the strength and wherewithal to take care of John, but what's to become of Brian and how much will this slow down Justin's recovery?

Anthony wants to turn over a new leaf and go to Penn State huh???...I still don't trust him and his new found altruism. Something is still very off about him.

Author's Response:

I've done a lot of those in this fic haven't I?  Lol

And we'll just have to see about Brian.  He did get shot twice...

And come on...Anthony can't be that bad right?  He only tried to get Brian to fall in love with him...He didn't know that Brian already has a soul mate.  XD

Good that Justin has his memories back.  I wander what will happen with Sasha, will Brian be able to help her get her life on track?  How will you stop John from regaining his boy?  The sad thing is that the torture you wrote probably takes place somewhere in this world.

Thank you! I'm so glad you think so. And yeah, Justin went through horrible things. They both did. But at least that torture is in the past. Though it'll affect Justin for a long time at least he won't have to live through it again.

Justin finally sees John for what he really is and I'm glad he is not going to let him take him without a fight. Sasha...what can one say about her? I love her resilience and the amount of strength she seems to possess. But our three musketeers need to be especially careful, Brian has been found out and now neither is safe.

Author's Response:

Yup, Justin is waking up now and he is not going to go down without a fight. And Sasha... She is a tough one. Unlike Justin she retained her memories and because of that her experience was a lot different. But her strength will be good for the both of them. Thanks!! <3

I'm glad that Denning was able to keep his life, and he doesn't know how close he came to losing it.  Keeping Justin locked away isn't really helping anything at this point.  Hope Sasha finds them, maybe she is the key that will help unlock Justin's memory so that he can tell Brian that he loves him back!

Author's Response:

You're right about Justin being locked away.  But Brian may be a bit paranoid...After all, the last time he let Justin walk out the loft door he didn't see him for three years.

And Sasha's pretty resourceful, she may only be seventeen, but she has had to grow up quiet a bit since we last saw her.

Whew, I'm relieved to see that Brian set things straight with Anthony and cut the guy loose. I was never able to see anything good in him. And the way he tried to manipulate Brian in the hospital room with his little "stay with me because I'm hurt" plea was lower than low. I truly hope we have seen the last of Anthony. He needs to go find himself a new sugar daddy to mooch off of!

It was so nice to see Sasha again. I thought she was gone forever when she was sold. I'm glad she got rescued and that she still cares about Justin. I do hope she gets a chance to see him again. Maybe she could help him remember some of the things he was forced to forget about the beginning of his captivity.

I'm loving the interactions between Brian and Justin. Brian has been so patient and gentle. Those little moments he has with Justin is just a reminder of how big Brian's heart really is. It's a really beautiful thing. And it's great that Justin keeps getting little pieces of his memory back. I imagine that his memory of sex with Brian is a lot better than his memories of being used by Matteo and the men Matteo loaned him to... Describing sex with Brian as nice is a huge compliment in this case.

The family coming over uninvited and snooping like they always do is so on the money. I love them all but they can be a pain sometimes. I hope none of them do anything to jeopardize Justin's safety. None of them are particularly good at keeping secrets, and they now have a huge one to protect.

I'm so sorry to hear about all the misfortunes that have fallen upon you recently. I hope things take a turn for the better soon. Wishing you all the best and crossing my fingers that things will only go up from here :) xx

Author's Response:

Yup, no more Brian/Anthony.  Phew, right?  And yes, his plea was selfish and manipulative, but that's who he is.  Selfish, manipulative, and a mooch...maybe he'll get a wake up call?

Ahhh Sasha...I'm pleased so many people like her.  I was worried that since she was only on the sidelines of Justin's captivity no one would connect with her character, but everyone has said they're glad she's back so I guess you all did!  XD  Which is good.  Because she's important.

And I agree completely.  Brian has a great capacity to love, unfortunately for most of the show it was buried beneath all of his pain and fear...But that is why I made a new and improved Brian who is able to be even MORE patient and MORE loving, because Justin is far more wounded than the one in the show.

And you're right, they are giant gossips...But they do love Justin, maybe they might just be able to put his needs in front of their running mouths.  XD

Thanks for the well wishes; the week was horrible, but it's all over now and I survived somehow.  Lol  <3

Oh my such an emotionally painful chapter. I'm so glad Sasha is still alive, I truly hope there is a reunion with Justin in the future. I'm so very disturbed by what Sasha said about what they did to Justin. Will we get more detail? I hope not because my imagination on this horrifying enough thank you.

I am still loving this story. Waiting for Justin to get his memory back and I hope he kicks Michaels ass for causing ALL of it!! Part of me is surprised Brian didn't when he found out. Also hoping John Smith gets caught I'm so tired of being worried about Justin's safety.

Cant wait for more. This is one of my favorite WIPs. Well done!!

:)

Author's Response:

I have a lot of those.  XD

More details are coming.  It'll be part of Justin's healing process.

Yeah, John is an ever looming threat...But it isn't entirely Michael's fault.  I mean, yeah, i fhe had just come forward when it happened then Justin would never have been in New York, but he didn't know Justin would run away, or that John would find him when he did...It was a series of bad evens that Michael started...But he is genuinely sorry.  I didn't intend for this to be an anti-Michael story...

I'm glad you like it so much, I know some people can't stand WIPs, but I'm glad you find this one worth it!  <3

For me learning what happened to Sasha, and learning from Sasha how they started controlling Justin, was very difficult and horrifying to read.
The thought that Justin is still in danger, and still so very lost is heartbreaking. I just really hope that he will start experiencing some happiness.
I really appreciate stories that are packed with emotions, yet contain an exciting plot that leaves us reader at the edges of our seats.
Love this story and I find myself looking forward for a new chapter every day!

Author's Response:

Some happy times will come soon to tide you over, I promise.  It is hard to ehar everything that happened to him, even if it is just a third party narrating it...But it's part of the healing process for him to remember and know everything he went through...And he's going to need Sasha for that.

This is emotionally charged.  What is Roger still doing overseas?  I'm glad Anthony is okay, but it was his idea that him and Brian be just fuck buddies to begin with if I remember correctly.  Sasha is ALIVE!  What will happen to her?  So Emmett told Mikey he saw Brian, for awhile there I thought Michael meant Emmett saw Justin.  And then to have Deb and Lindsay show up with him???  That's an ambush if ever I saw one.  Not nice.  Sorry about all the rotten things happening, but this story is the high-point of my day.

Author's Response:

Well he's in charge of the investigation so he's helping round up all the slaves.

And yes, I'm glad so many people are happy she's back in the picture.  I was worried people didn't get attached to her enough, but that's clearly not the case, lol.

I don't trust for some reason Roger or Anthony oh hell none of the family for that matter one or more of them is going do something to indanger Justin and Brian life.

Author's Response:

Oh yes.  Sasha has turned rather...I don't want to say careless, because that implies she's reckless or unfeeling, which she isn't.  But she has hardened in her time as a slave.

And we'll just have to see about the family.  They do have a nasty habit of spreading rumors and such...*shrugs*

I couldn't kill her, she still has too much to do.  XD  And Anthony's part in the story isn't quite over yet...he gets a little more development.  But I have to say, I think you're spot on.  He does love Brian...But he knows Brian doesn't love him back.  Sad.  :(

*floats you a big hug* Damn...you definitely have alot on your shoulders right now but things will get better ;)

As good intentioned as the visit may have been, the family still should have waited for an invitation before swarming Brian's loft and scaring the hell out of Justin. I'm also glad that Anthony and Brian have parted ways for good, although I can completely understand why both Roger and Anthony are upset about the situation. Yay for Sasha! It seems that she didn't get quite the same treatment as Justin did, she wasn't brainwashed and I find that very interesting.

Now if they could only get John Smith out of the picture...

Awwww, thank you.  I don't know how, but I did manage to survive the week somehow lol.

I must have missed something, as I'm very confused as to Justin losing his memories. First John kept acting like he had, then Sasha mentioned it in this chapter and some if your reviewers had figured it out as well and I'm just left here thinking, "when did this happen? and how did I miss it?" But I'm so happy Sasha got rescued and remembers everything. I really hope she's planning on finding Justin.

Well I wouldn't say you missed anything. The explanation for Justin's memory loss hasn't been released in full yet. I knew they wouldn't get away that easily. I was sure a stand-off of some kind would happen before Brian got too far away with Justin, and I was so right. The shoot out was intense and I loved the action. Of course, the chase is far from over since John is actively pursuing them. It's only a matter of time before he discovers who Kurt Denning really is and goes after Brian. I shudder to think of the lengths that the ruthless, cold man will go to in order to have Justin under his control again.

It still irks me every time that Justin calls Brian 'master.' I will be so glad when that habit wears off! Based on recent events, it gives me hope that his memory will eventually return completely. It's so refreshing to see that Justin is getting flashes of his old life again. He sorta remembered Daphne! That's definitely a good sign.

And that kiss Brian gave him to ease his panic had my heart fluttering in my chest. It was so beautiful. The ability Brian has to calm and comfort Justin hasn't faded at all even though Justin doesn't remember Brian. The way they interact with each other is just perfect.

I especially loved the end scene with the lighthearted playfulness between Brian & Justin. It reminded me of how Justin was before he ran away to New York. I like that boy, and I hope he doesn't disappear once his memories return and he understands that the abuse inflicted on him over the years was wrong. As much as I want him to remember I feel bad for the price Justin has to pay to regain what was stolen for him. Reliving his training at the center from a new perspective is going to be painful :(

I really adored this chapter! And I'm glad Matteo is dead. Or I assume he's dead... One can only hope! Now someone just needs to snuff out John before he reaches Justin. Ah, that kind of wishful thinking makes me smile...

Author's Response:

Nothing is ever that easy, especially here.  XD  I'm glad you liked the action - There are two things I feel I'm bad at writing, and those are humor and action.  So It's a relief to know people enjoyed the shoot out.  And you're right, the truth will come out eventually and that'll make John even more furious.  And really, there isn't anything John wouldn't do to get Justin back.  In his mind, he has every right to have Justin and Brian is the one in the wrong.  (Messed up, right?)

Brian is a good influence.  The memories that remained buried will start to resurface with more time with Brian.

It's good to know you like how they interact with each other.  I was afraid it might come off as too easy for Justin.  But he does have an underlying love for Brian as there were parts of him that John couldn't erase.  Like his playfulness.  ;)

And I know!  One bad guy down!  One to go...

Thanks for all the support you've given!!  <3

This story is so compelling. I look forward to each new chapter! I'm not sure how you're going to get Justin back to some semblance of his old self, though? TAG

Author's Response:

I'm really glad you think so!  :)  I worked really hard on it...

As for Justin, I believe the way I end the story is consistent with the rest of it - meaning painfully realistic.  But I'm hoping that it'll also be fulfilling.

I enjoyed reading your stories. Keep it up and make sure the pittsburgh family don't interfere.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, it's so nice to hear you enjoy my writing.  :)

And I wouldn't worry.  Brian has a very specific plan for what'll happen when they get back to Pittsburgh, and it'll involve a lot of alone time.

Finally our boys are on the road to recovery on many levels. The only real problem is that the real Kurt Denning is in danger.

Author's Response:

Oh yes, they'll get in some good quality healing.  But what about when John figures out Brian isn't Kurt?  ;)

Thank you dear!  <3

Talk about action and adventure!  You had me on the edge of my seat.  John is very scary and there must be more to him than I thought.  I've got to admit that Brian is one lucky bastard.

Author's Response:

Well that's good!  I'd hate for it to be dull...I always worry that when I try to make something exciting or whatever I fall short.  It's good to know it kept you enticed.

And John is, in my opinion and the backstory I've created for him, a very complex person.  Though I doubt I'll put any of his back story in here - I don't want to take away from his mystery.  But, in his own way, I feel he cares for Justin in the only way he knows how ('cause lets face it, John is seriously messed up).

And yes, yes he is.

Thank you so much!!  <3

Hello So i just finished rewatching the episode that this story is based off of and when Bri got to the hotel and saw Justin there I was like THANK GOD he's there. Then another thought came to me...Justins parents I mean once they know he's back in the pitts Im sure they're gonna wanna see him and get him as far from brian as possible. But he needs to be with Brian I feel like hes the only one who can help him. So I'm hoping it will just be Jen and Her and Deb are friends and that Deb makes Jen aware that it's not Brians fault and Justin might need Brian just like after he bashing. Okay So please please hurry and update ASAFP lol :) have a good weekend

Later.

Author's Response:

When I first watched it my first assumption was that he wasn't going to be there.  I'm so glad he was!  XD

As for Justin's return to the Pitts; Brian is in overprotect mode.  Hopefully the way I handle things will seem realistic, but don't expect to see much of Justin's family.

Thanks so much for letting me know what you think!  <3

I'm so worried about Justin mental and physical state. The only way that Justin memory would return is if Brian got hurt (fair is fair) just saying. good story

Author's Response:

For good reason, Justin isn't doing well.  Maybe with a little help from Brian he'll get better.  Thanks so much!!  <3

I shouldn't have underestimated Brian Kinney's power of persuasion. I'm pretty sure that man could get anyone to follow him wherever he chose to go. Especially 'I'm-Going-With-Him' Justin. There's still a glimmer of that boy within him, and Brian was able to bring him out. With time, I hope that Justin's memory will return because this new Justin is unsettling.

The way he calls Brian "master" makes me a little sick. He's so willing to do whatever he is told, and that's so not Justin. They've broken him, shattered him completely, and reassembled the pieces to create something unrecognizable. My hatred for Matteo and John Smith has only grown.

I'm seriously worried about what those monsters are going to do once they realize that Justin is gone. Their escape may have gone off pretty quietly but they are in no way out of the woods yet. Just like Brian refused to let Justin go, I know without a doubt that Matteo and John will do the same. He's a prize to them, and men like them don't take kindly to losing their valuables.

I can only imagine the horrible things that they did to Justin at the Learning Center, and the things they are capable of doing if they catch Brian and Justin. I can only hope that they'll manage to stay three steps ahead of Smith and Greco, but I doubt they will. Natural pessimist here, after all. I know Brian and Justin's suffering is far from over.

I'm just going to enjoy the small romantic moments- the hand holding and longing looks- while I can. There's no telling how long it will all last...

Author's Response:

Exactly; Justin's soul calls for Brian - always has always will.  Indeed it is, but his memories are going to come slowly.

They are monsters, those two.  The broke Justin into little tiny pieces, but Brian is Brian...Maybe he can put him back together.

I think you'll like the way John reacts when he finds out Justin is missing...XD

Again, thanks for all the support you've given me!  I love it.  <3

That was an amazing chapter.  No, we really didn’t need a shoot out and dramatic get away, as the drama was focused on Brian and Justin.  I had no idea how Justin would react.  I am

still not sure as I expect any moment Justin will ‘freak out’ and do something foolish or simply  have some sort of psychological break down that could be so bad as to require hospitalization. It still may.  So, as a reader, I have to tell you that the suspense is there, in just about every line.  It is just not that Justin remembering his life before the kidnapping, but what will happen if Justin remembers the Training Center and what happened to him?  Wow!

And yes, I wonder if it will be so easy for Brian and Justin to just ride to the airport, get on a plane, and move on with their lives with a very rich and powerful man like Mateo chasing them – and – whoever John Smith works for could be problem too.  It all just can’t be that easy.

While I am here, any word about Sasha?

    DavidR

Author's Response:

Awww, thank you!!  And you're right, Justin is kind of like a ticking time bomb that's been counting down for years now. I'm glad you can feel the tension and suspense I'm trying to put out there.  :)

Hmmm...I didn't think it would be quite that easy for them to get away, although it's good to see them together again. I would expect it to take some time for Justin to understand he is no longer a slave boy. It's only natural that he feel like Brian is his new master due to the developments at hand.

I suspect Matteo will somehow be there to greet them at the airport...I can't wait to find out.

Author's Response:

Yes, Matteo won't let them go without a fight.  And you're right; it'll take a long time for Justin to get out of that mentality.

I'm glad the escape went down this way.  It wasn't too easy, yet not too hard.  Brian certainly has Irish luck going for him.  It must have been just as hard for Brian to watch Justin treating him like a new master.  I imagine Brian hadn't really thought of what would happen once he got Justin back to America and hopefully Justin got his memory back.  After all they didn't exactly part on the best of conditions.

Author's Response:

No, they didn't, but we'll just have to see what happens when Justin gets his memories back.  XD

Yeah, I still do NOT like Anthony. And I don't feel that he redeemed himself at all in this chapter. He only tried to help find Justin for selfish reasons. It was all done in the hopes that once John Smith confirmed Justin's death, Brian would finally move on with him. His little stunt wasn't an act of selfless heroism, but it did bring Brian to Justin, so that's the only thing he's earned any points for from me.

I'm so glad that Brian has finally come face to face with Justin. Alas, this reunion is bittersweet since Justin has no memory of Brian. They're perfect strangers now... They're in the same room but still miles away from each other in other aspects of closeness. I didn't expect the reunification to be so painful but, god, it really really is!

And how is Brian going to get Justin away from Matteo?! The boy has been programmed to do as his master instructs, and I doubt Brian will be able to single handedly smuggle him out of there. One mistake could end up getting them both seriously injured or killed. I'm biting my nails over here wondering how it's all going to go down!

I can only hope that everything works out somehow. The fact that Matteo lends Justin out to people like the young man is nothing more than a blow up doll to be used and discarded is deeply disturbing. The sooner he is free of Mr. Greco, the better!

Very anxious to see how it all plays out. I was up until 4 a.m last night waiting for an update on this story. lol. I'm pretty addicted! Hope the next chapter comes very very soon :)

Author's Response:

Anthony is still selfish, but he is trying.  He's still got some work to do - this was just a first step.  XD  But yeah, he wasn't expecting Justin to be alive so he's in for a rude awakening when he realizes his plan didn't work out.

You might be surprised at how persuasive Brian can be.  Don't underestimate the power of Justin's curiosity and concern for the questions he has about John.  :)

And I'm so so sorry!  DX  I'm sorry you waited up all night...I would have posted if I had my computer.  I'm sorry.  *pouts*  I'm glad you like it so much, though.

I am relieved that Anthony got a chance to report John and save himself as well as countless others in the process...kudos to him. Now let's hope Brian and Justin make it back to the states with little hassle.

Author's Response:

Sad right?  And don't worry, this is new Brian.  New Brian doesn't use fucking to solve his problems.  Lol  But we'll just have to see what he does instead.

Reviewer: xlovelytragedy (Anonymous) · Date: December 03, 2013 01:29 PM · On: Settling In.

I didn't expect another year jump at all. Or to find out that Anthony was with Brian for all those years. I'm glad he finally left! Good riddance. Especially after what he did to Justin's sketches. Those were some of the few remaining things that Brian had left of Justin, and they're irreplaceable :(

I could never imagine Brian being a romance novelist. But you're making it work for me somehow. I'm just too addicted to this story to mind how out of character it seems for him to be writing the love story he would have had with Justin if he hadn't been kidnapped. And I really loved the recreation of Justin's departure with Ethan in Brian's book. So brilliant!

On a less than enthusiastic note, I still despise John. Always have, always will. I know he has no genuine feelings for Justin, because the man is not capable of love. He may feel lust or desire for him but it's strictly for his body. That's all Justin really is to him. A body. He's turned him into someone else and that's not love.

It seems like Justin is starting to discover the truth about John and the fact that he is NOT a nice man. I can only pray that his feelings for John will start to disintegrate along with all the lies their relationship is built upon. The one he truly loves is Brian, and I'm glad that Brian is starting to creep into his memories again. The mind may have forgotten but the heart never will...

I still have many questions, but I'm waiting very patiently for the answers to be revealed. I'm sure the wait is worth it. xx

Author's Response:

Yeah, actually that was one of the very first scenes I wrote in the story, and I filled in the other stuff around it.  I didn't want to make Anthony seem like a bad person, though.  He was just upset and maybe with his last few scenes he'll redeem himself a little.

As for Brian the Author, I read it in a story somewhere and the idea really stuck with me.  Advertising was always a way for Brian to exude his control and power over people.  But this is a new Brian, so I wanted a new job.  Writing a romance about his and Justin's pretend life just seemed to fit his mindset for me, so I went with that.  And I'm glad you liked it!

John is a very complex person and he doesn't really understand what he feels for Justin; he's never had to deal with emotions before.  I have wanted to go into back story for John several times, but I always ended up deciding it was best left unsaid to keep up his air of darkness, so to speak. One thing he does understand, though, is how to control and manipulate people.  XD

Thank you sooooo much dear!  <3

So according to a certain reviewer we are only to say positive things about the story's characters?  Reviews would get awful tiresome if they became nothing but a maudlin lovefest. If we didn't like the tale we wouldn't be here. This doesn't mean we need like everything about it or pretend we do.

Reviewer: Anonymous (Anonymous) · Date: December 03, 2013 10:09 AM · On: Settling In.

I'm sure we all been to the movies at some point in our life and we have seem good and bad movies, the bad one we don't talk much about only to say the acting was bad or the story was boring so on so on, But if it's a good movie we insert ourself into the story we relate to the character some we like more than others,  many of time we voice our like and or dislike/opinion toward the character we feel  is doing something good or bad at the time. That what a good moive or in this case a good story should do and this one dose that  so to the writer of this story feel proud of yourself to have readers react to your story feeling the hurt, angst, sad and happy. It all  mean they connect to what you are saying. If they didn't like it they wouldn't comment.

Reviewer: JAZZEPOET (Signed) · Date: December 03, 2013 07:44 AM · On: Settling In.

Okay so I usually don't do this but here goes nothing...

I am totally appalled by the viciousness of some of the reviews here. I mean sure we are all free to express our opinions one way or another, but can we PLEASE keep it civil for fucks sake. Damn...I think it's fair to say that all of us following this story are finding it a tough read but we still come back for more because it's an amazing story.

If you don't care for the story or main characters or content of the story then by all means pass on reading it...ijs

It's your story...write it the way you want.  If people want easy and quick fixes then too bad.  Just saying....

To be honest, I'd expect more out of Brian than just assuming Justin is gone and filling his time with attempted distractions.  Justin deserves to be free. But it's doubtful, to me anyway, that Brian (with his lack of preserverence) deserves to get Justin back.

And what of Michael? He's lost two boyfriends and his business.   Does this story suggest that it was only due to Brian that Michael held onto Ben as well as his comic store?

Author's Response:

I wasn't trying to suggest that, no.  I mean, I think Brian did help (especially with the comic book store) but I don't think he was fully respinsible for all of Michael's success in the show.  I was just trying to convey that Michael has had a lot of bad things happen to him after Brian left.  Kind of like Karma catching up to him.  <3

As for Brian, hopefully when they finally do track him down you'll feel he's made up for his lack of trying.  Lol  Thank you!!

He (brain) is going to get his feeling hurt and just like michael he going to get what he deserved, Justin being in love with two men.

Author's Response:

Well he did look for him for about a year.  And he also had other people looking for him as well.  It got to a point where his life was going to go no where if he stayed where he was so he had to move on.  Of course his heart was always with Justin.  XD

I kind of cannot fathom how people can look at themselves in the mirror each day and treat people like slaves at their sevice and beck and call. Talking about RL issues here, not only this fic. Those are such perverted minds, unbelievable cruel but thinking of themselves as gods or higher.

Great story nonetheless which makes one think beyond.

Please update soon. I want to find out what happens next. I want to know how the story ends. :)

On a side note, I think you're a great writer. :)

Author's Response:

Awww, that totally made my day.  Thanks so much!  *hugs*  <3

"Iron Horse" race... such an old fashioned term.

Now you've got me thinking time travel! =]

Author's Response:

XD  To be honest, I just googled 'festivals in Elba' and that's what came up.  The article said Iron Horse Race, so that's what I put.  Lol

I promise, no time travel.  Thanks!!  <3

While nothing damaging actually happened, it was hard to read that Justin is so enamered with John.  Brian on the other hand, has done well, but Justin is still with him.  Anthony was the pits for damaging Justin's work.  At least Brian is still locked inside Justin's head somewhere.

Author's Response:

Well, Anthony can't be blamed TOO much for ruining Justin's sketches.  I mean, I didn't want to make him into a bad guy.  He and Brian were doing their thing for several years, far longer than Brian even knew Justin, and so when he realized that the love of his life was still pining away for someone who was probably dead he was hurt.  And yes, Brian is locked away somewhere, he just needs a bit of a nudge to get out.  XD

Thank you!  <3

Author's Response:

Agreed.  People are sick and one of the reasons I wanted this fic to be realistic was to make people realize that, for some people, this is a reality.  And that is exactly what John thinks of himself.  He considers himself above everything and everyone, especially Justin.

Thank you!! <3

Okay... there a clue, right? Several clues. <Sigh>

I can't get past the memory/forgetfulness thing and those enigmatic statements from Sasha and Mitch, and that John Smith bears such a striking physical resemblance to Brian. This all seems so symbolically dreamstate - the underground compound, struggling to get upward to get out, time shifts, even that particular 'homage' to the show coming at the three year mark (quite timely, I think). If it's a coincidence, it's a really freaky one...

I'm thinking toooooo much... going back to re-read for those damned clues I KNOW have to be there... LOL

At least I don't need a xanax on this chapter. ;)

Author's Response:

Haha, yes I thought you all deserved a chapter that wasn't overriden with emotions.  As for the clues, there are a lot there, but as for the book, that really was just a coincidence.  I just wanted to kind of emphasize how different they are now from how they were in the show.  And to also, subtly, point out that even in Brian's fantasy life with Justin he still loses him.  It was kind of my way to show Brian's mental state.

Thanks for letting me know what you think!  <3

While I could have done without the descriptive passion between Justin and John *shudders* it was encouraging that Brian has started to sneak back into the recesses of his mind. And it's even better that Justin is now starting to question some things.

The one thing that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and is a bit disconcerting, is that Anthony's assessment of his and Brian's situation is spot on. After the one year mark of them living together, they no longer had a fuck buddy arrangement, what they did have was a bonafide relationship. Anthony's proposal didn't come as a surprise nor his reaction to Brian’s refusal. The biggest mistake made here was that Brian even entered into this disaster to begin with, let alone keeping it going for two years.

I sure hope the happy is coming soon...I don't know how much more my heart or (at the moment) fragile emotions can take.

Author's Response:

Sorry, I didn't think it was that much, especially because this time it was consensual (or however much it can be between the two of them).  But yes, those little thoughts are starting to wiggle in the back of his head.  :)

And I afree with you completely on Anthony's account.  That was one of the reasons I did the two year jump, because I didn't want Anthony to come across as overly attached too soon.  After a certain point, he had reason to believe Brian loved him and wanted him around.  I didn't want him to be the bad guy.

And yes, happy is coming soon.  Not much happy, but there will be happy.  Or maybe a better word for it is calm.  There is calm coming soon.  XD

Thanks for the review!!!!  <3

    Thanks for another chapter.

I am glad you cleared up what Brian asked the twink who

spoke to John.  That did confuse me.  It is a lead,  and at

least  they will be able to  get a sketch of John.

I don’t mind that Brian is with Anthony for now,  or that

Justin is with John and now sold for now.  It will all work its

way out.  It should be quite interesting to see who gets hurt.

   Again, thanks for the chapter.

Awww, Thanks for the review!  Lol

Yeah, so I had the chapters broken up differently when I originally wrote it.  But, then I decided to make the chapters longer, so sometimes chapters get cut off halfway through...I should have realized what I had written right after the cut off, but it was too late to change it.  I'm glad it makes sense now lol

And I'm glad you don't mind about the relationships...It seems you're in the minority.  But things happen for a reason.  Even Anthony.  XD

Thanks again!!  <3

Why did you tell us they'll be back together in two chapters.  Why would anyone want or need to know that?  Now this fic is practically ruined for me up to the next three chapters. If you are going to put spoilers at the end of chapters, it would be nice if some warning was posted for those of us who don't need tp know the ending of a book before we read it.

Author's Response:

Well, honestly, I didn't consider it a spoiler because I've said that they'll be reunited several times already.  I didn't say the why or the how.  I'm sorry you feel everything was ruined; and if you feel the why and the how don't matter then I guess I did ruin it for you.  But that wasn't my intention.  I felt like I was just giving an update to people who have been anxiously waiting for that reunion; letting them know it was close.  I don't see how saying 'two chapters' is different than saying 'close'.  Sure one is more definitive, but they reveal the same thing.  And, as I already said, it's not the first time I said they'd be reunited.  But I can see that this really upset you, so I'll take it down.  I know it won't fix anything for you, but hopefully it will prevent others from feeling like I've ruined everything.   Though I do hope you'll stick around for the why and the how.  <3

Hmmm... interesting development.

Taking Mitch's repeatedly saying that Justin had already "forgotten his old life," all while Justin insisted he still remembered Pittsburgh... Could it be that Justin had always been an Initiate, and that his life in Pittsburgh was the false memory????

Author's Response:

Is it?    Which memories are real and which are fake, what has he forgotten and what has he remembered....those will all be talked about later on.  :)  And hopefully they'll make sense...XD  Thanks for the review! <3

Well, any faith I had in Brian dissipated rather quickly when he fell into bed with Anthony. And he let him move in?! I'm really annoyed with that whole situation. I can only hope that Anthony will leave the picture as quickly as he entered it. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that isn't going to happen...

I figured Justin would develop some sort of emotional attachment to his captor, but I didn't expect it to happen the way that it did. I've heard of drug-induced amnesia but not in terms of the drug being able to erase long term memory. I haven't really researched the concept much, so I'm anxious to know more about the drugs Justin has been given during his captivity.

The relationship based on lies and manipulations that he has with John makes my blood boil. I despise John Smith. I'd very much like to drop a house on the despicable monster! He's succeeded at turning Justin into a subservient little slave boy. And the worst is that he's tricked him into having actual feelings for him. I know it'll be a long way back for Justin... He'll never be the same boy he was after all of this.

I can't wait for the reunification of Justin & Brian. This one year jump has given me so many question to ponder and I am very anxious to get them answered. Looking forward to the next chapter. xx

Author's Response:

Well, I don't want to give anything away, but thus far in the story all of your predictions have been right....so....

The aspects of Justin's....transformation, won't be talked about for a while, so I hope you're content with waiting.

And yes, Justin definitely has a long road ahead of him.  And that's only once he realizes what lies John has told him; which will be hard for Justin to swallow because, however horrible they are, Justin's feelings for John are very real.  But...who's to say John doesn't have any feelings back?  *shrugs*

Thanks for letting me know what you think!  I love hearing from you!  <3

I hope the gap will be explained soon. Rather a disconcerting chapter. Don't like Anthony and Brian together. too many things not to like in this story-but I guess definition will be coming soon/

Author's Response:

Well, a lot of the things that are not to like have reasons and are temporary.  And as for the gap, it will be explained...I don't know about soon, but it will be explained.  Thanks for letting me know what you think!  <3

Roger questioning should have been Brain questioning, the way I see it role reverse if brian was missing  as like justin, we all know that justin even if  evething happen the same way at the beginng of the story would nonstop be asking or searching day and night  for brian and he would never be with anyone loney or not untill he had proof brian was alive or dead even than. I geuss to me that would make Justin more of a man than brian is. just saying! if they don't get back togather, that o.k maybe john will fall in love with justin and come clean. good story

Author's Response:

Well, Brian was drunk off his ass already.  Also, it is Roger's job to find Justin, so he should be doing it.  And you're right.  If Brian was the one who went missing Justin probably would do all of those things.  But Brian isn't Justin...Justin is the one who knows his heart and knows he wants Brian and only Brian.  Brian was never that guy.  Doing what he has been for the duration of the story already seemed like a stretch for Brian's character for me, and I think if he gave up sex altogether and focused on only finding Justin that would have been too far.  I don't know, that's what I feel anyways.  And maybe John is already in love...Just putting that out there for you to ponder on.  XD  Thanks for the review!!  <3
