I love when Brian permits himself to manifest his feelings :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! Sometimes I think it's hard to write Brian IC and still make him 'romantic,' at least in his own way. Hopefully I accomplished that. Thanks very much for reading, and for your comments. *Hugs* ~Kim

Is this a AU made up holiday? Or real? Sweetest Day? Really? Good Grief! Sounds like a day to give you a cavity! Isn't Valentine's Day bad enough? Oyyy vey!!

I really connected with the first paragraph as I like to go to a coffeehouse/diner to write and the noise level is often...less than library standard, shall we say. However, none of us should let that interfere with any art and I discovered a simple solution, thank God!  Two words...Ear...plugs.

I was kinda confused though. Was Justin on break? Or was he allowed to draw and work the tables at the same time? Sorry I overthink like this sometimes.

Author's Response:

Hi, Jon - Sigh...no, Sweetest Day is a real American day to honor your 'sweetheart.' If you ask me, it's just another way of milking money out of people.  But, alas, it does exist. And yes, I had to go back and re-read it to make sure I was clear about it, but it did state that Justin had ten minutes left on his lunch break to work on his sketches...And I, too, have been in some pretty noise coffee houses, a la Denny's, for example, so I know they can get pretty raucous like you said.

Thanks for reading and for the comments, my friend.  Even if I DID get you confused, I appreciate it - ha!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Finally Brian is going with his gut and to hell with what everyone else might think.  Bravo!!!

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie! Thank you for reading and for the comments.  I'm so glad you enjoyed it.  I think this could have been possible for our non-traditional romantic, don't you?:) Thank you for all the support.  I'm working on a humorous/romantic Halloween one-shot; hope to have that up soon.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Pick one. New York or Ethan.

Author's Response:

Oh, no, you're going to have to tell me more than that, you sneak! But if it involves jealousy of any kind on Brian's part, I'd have to pick Ethan.;)

Just in case you missed me, I'm here! And I did read this the day you posted it (obsessed or what?) but I just haven't gotten around to reviewing it. Stupid real life.

Anyway, I'd never heard of Sweetness Day, so had to google it, where wikipedia informed me it's an american thing, which explains why.

I love Brian doing romance in his own unique way. And Justin not being so annoyed after all.

(Also, the story I mentioned? It's currently in image form in my head, so I just have to translate it into words. And figure out where the hell I'm going with it, as I have no idea past the intial idea and first scene. But by telling you I'm going to write it means that I will sooner or later, rather than just letting to plot bunny annoy me to death.)

Author's Response:

Hi, Nikki!  Of course I missed you! Glad to see you back, though.;)  Yes, Sweetest Day is another American holiday in order to coerce yet more money out of us.;)  I'm glad you liked the way that Brian approached it.;)  Thanks for reading and for the feedback, my friend.

And I'm delighted to hear that you have a new story in the works! And you're right; now that you've mentioned it, you are now officially responsible for writing it.;)  If you want to bounce any ideas off me, let me know! I'll be looking forward to reading it.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Oh how sweet-  loved the card-  Brian is sometimes so romantic

Author's Response:

Thanks, Sandy, for reading and for the comments.  I figured that was more Brian's style than the typical mushiness.  Glad you enjoyed it.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Thank you, my friend. Darn that Brian!  You could tell he was torn about whether to do it or not; how nice if just once he had given in at that point and just bought the damn things rather than buyig the hustler for Justin (would have probably been cheaper, too!) But I suppose if he had, both of them might not have done some of the growing up that they needed to do. Thank you for reading and for the comments.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hi Kim.  Loved this!

Author's Response:

Hi, Lynelle!  Thank you for reading and for taking the time to comment!  I really appreciate that.  And don't worry; I haven't forgotten about your favorite story.;)  I have to head over to "Heart's Desire" soon (after I finish a Halloween one-fic), but I promise to return to "Stallion" just as soon as I can.  Thanks again, my friend.

Oh, and you may have told me before, but are you going to Bilbao? Would love to see you again if you are.  Take care.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hi there. I know it's been a long time reviewing your stories. Lindc sais I would like this one as I was quite upset in the t.v show that Brian didn't buy him roses. Now I am happy/ Brisn can be OCC and lesbionic every once in a while. Thank you for this story it made my day.

Author's Response:

Hi, Nonie! How are you? I hope you are doing better.  I think lindc said you may be going back home to Europe if I remember correctly to be nearer to your family?  I'm very happy to hear from you, and to know you enjoyed this story.  I agree; if only Brian had just given in and bought Justin the roses, how things might have been different!  You could tell he was torn about it in the one scene at the flower stand.  I like to think that Brian could have evolved to where he would have given Justin this romantic gesture from time to time to spoil his boy.;)

Take care of yourself, Nonie!  And if you do move, I hope you might find a way to keep in touch. In either case, I wish you the very best, and I thank you sincerely for taking the time to leave me feedback.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

That's the first thing I read this morning.
Then I started crying.

It is so bad that they decided to finish.
Luckily there's you and all wonderful writers B / J story.

Author's Response:

Hi, Orhida!  Thanks for reading and for the comments, my friend.  Rather short for my typical story, but I just felt like writing a little romantic fluff for a change.;) So glad you liked it, my friend.  Working on a more detailed Halloween one-shot coming up.  Thanks again!  Oh, and thanks for following me on Twitter, too.;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

This story is just as sweet as you Kim! I love it! I can really imagine Brian being this kind of sweetness, I know deep inside he is! :) :) :) {{{Hugs}}}

Author's Response:

Hi, Cindy - well, after that one ep where Brian was smelling the roses at the flower stand, you could tell he was torn about what to do.  It's not really in his nature to be openly demonstrative, but I like to think if he was he would do it in this manner, and, of course, be typically over-the-top in whatever he does. Thanks so much for reading and for the lovely comments, Cindy!  I appreciate that so much.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Awww,.this is so adorable, Brian Kinney sooo does romance   :)

Author's Response:

Hello, there - so glad that you enjoyed it.  I think he would 'do romance' in some cases, don't you? And, of course, he would have to outdo everyone else when he does in typical, Brian Kinney fashion. Thank you for reading and for taking the time to comment; it is much appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Jane! Thanks for reading and for your comments.  I know; hopeless sap here.  I just think there's something so romantic about Brian spoiling his boy.;) I'm delighted you liked it. Thank you again for the feedback.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Ohhhhh, Kim. This was a delightful surprise! And, that word count!? Do my eyes deceive me!! LOL. Seriously, though, this was a fun, fluffy piece. And, ridiculously romantic or not, I think Brian was very much IC. If only he had bought those roses! Such a stubborn little darling!! *Sigh* But... you fixed that mistake here. I enjoyed this. Thanks for writing! *Hugss*

Author's Response:

Ha!  I know - this ls probably a tenth of my normally sized chapters.;)  Thank you for reading and for taking the time to comment, Janet.  I was just in the mood for a little schmoop, I guess, with Sweetest Day. I'm glad you didn't think Brian was TOO OOC here. Thanks again for the feedback!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Aww Kim this was really good. Super cute and sweet!! Loved the note Brian sent with the flowers. Straight to the point like always our Brian. Thanks for the smile this gave me.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie!  Thank you for reading, and for your feedback.  I'm glad you enjoyed it.  I thought I could see Brian sending this sort of message, couldn't you? Love it when he spoils his boy.;) Thanks again for the support; it is much appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

wow kim, didn't even see this coming. it was a nice surprise. i was squeeing and fangirling all over the place. this was just too freaking sweet. loved the card, that was so brian. great one-shot. as always. loved it, loved it, loved it.

Author's Response:

Hello, my dear friend.  I know - not nice to surprise the beta - ha!  It was rather short and kind of spontaneous, though, so I didn't think I needed to bother you with this one. Besides, I'm already putting you to work with my Halloween one-fic.  I'm glad you enjoyed this one, Gloria.  I always thought Brian might try to rectify that situation somehow, and I thought Sweetest Day might be the perfect time to do it.  Thanks for taking the time to comment, my friend. And thank you for all you do for me.;) *Hugs* ~Kim

Good story.

I had to think to get the title. I like Brian's note, it is in character.

Thank you for posting.

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and for taking the time to comment!  Glad you enjoyed it, and that you thought the note would be appropriate for Brian's character.  I do think he evolved over time to where he might be capable of the occasional, grandiose gesture for his partner. Thank you again for the feedback!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Oh, Kim! That was so beautiful!

I do not know that holiday. At least, I never heard and do not know what it is.

I love stories post 513 vislimbres with Brian and Justin together and live their love, despite being in separate cities. You did it so well in this story. I loved every line. The banner is wonderful!

A big hug, my dear friend.

Fatima.

Author's Response:

Obrigada, meu querido amigo. Fico feliz que você tenha gostado. Obrigado, também, para o poema e para a sua reflexão. * Abraços * ~ Kim

So sweet and "SHORT" my goodness girl-are you out of your comfort zone. HA! omg did you see Bobby Gant on Sean saves the world? He looks the same-these people from QAF don't seem to age-he was as handsome as ever. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc! Yeah, highly atypical of me, isn't it? Not to fear - I'm working on a Halloween one-fic at the moment that's a sequel to "A Haunting We Will Go," and it's up over 10,000 words - still not done with it yet. And I have to get back to Lee's favorite story, which I promise to do very shortly.

Yes, I saw Bobby on the show. He looked quite handsome.  I don't think he's nearly as bulked up as he used to be - I noticed that as well in LA. But still a gorgeous guy, both inside and out. Very nice man when you meet him in person. Thanks for the comments, my friend. Tell everyone that I said hello and send them my love.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

LOL... Brian is Brian to the end, is he not? Roses and ... ahem ... love notes. <G>

And I bet Justin breezed through the rest of the day with a smile on his face.

Love this.

Roni

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and for the comments, Roni.  Probably my second ever shortest story.;)  Now I have to get back to my epic-length chapters.  Glad you enjoyed the brief interlude!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Ridiculously romantic (in a Brian Kinney sort of way lol) if I do say so myself ;)

Author's Response:

Thanks for reading Tamara.;)  Not a literacy masterpiece here, obviously, but I felt like doing a little something romantic for the boys on Sweetest Day.  I'm working on a one-fic for Halloween that is much longer - it's a sequel to "A Haunting We Will Go" from last year.  I'm hoping to have it done before the end of the month.  I have about 10,000 words of it done, but don't want to post it until I'm finished. Thanks for the feedback, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Kim
