Mafita, forgive me for waiting so long to respond but R/L had been sort of hectic... not only did I have the death in my family recently, but because of it I fell behind in my studies and had to neglect many things to solely focus on my school work so I could finally catch up. 

Glad U asked for the encore, because I actually got a sequel in the make.  In fact, I will try posting a few chapters of it tonight.  However, because I promised readings that I would finish all the WIP's here before posting anything new.  I will just post a few chapters of the sequel, and then work on the other WIP's and get them out of the way before finishing the sequel.  However, it will be enough chapters printed to give you that epilogue you asked for at least.  I just want to finish up all the other stories first.  I already started with posting about three chapters of The Watcher.

So, right now I'm going to finish up answering the rest of these reviews, and then I'll post your chapters for you.

YumYumPM, I know how you feel.  A lot of fans (ncluding myself) hated all the times Brian put up with people thinking the worst of him just because he had too much class to point the finger at the real fiend.  However, it just isn't his style to throw people (especially his loves ones in front of the bus).  He was even protective of of his shithead family members regardless of how they dumped on him.  In the original QAF, he never told anyone that Jack said he should be the one dying instead of him.  So, I'll  can only do what you request if I can find a way to do it where Brian don't deliberately just serve Michael up, but unconsciously or intentionally do it someway.  It just wouldn't be his style.

Thank you, so glad U liked it, and I don't think it was something anyone ever guessed had happened.  And like you said there are a world of possibilities how Justin ended up with the kid, but in the beginning I painted Lenny as a bit of a psychopath and actually had him seeing a therapist, so that this part wouldn't come across as farfetched to the readers.   Thank you for letting me know I pulled it off alright.

Even though this didn’t go well for the men, I like the way you wrote the conversation. Justin at the door in the rain and Deb stepping in to help him out with a very vexed Brian; classic.

Thanks, Flossee, but that wasn't so clever of me.  It was actually putting a new spin on the original  QAF scene when Justin left Brian because he told him he only let him move in with him becasue he felt responsible and guilty about the bashing, and then Justin showed up on Debbie's doorstep in the rain, and she took him in, but then she went and gave Brian a piece of her mind and then he went and pleaded with Justin to move back in with him.

How does Mel know what Justin looks like? Ethan seems to have a case of verbal diarrhoea, as he doesn’t appear to be able to stop himself from tell Mel everything. At least now he is getting a clue, and hopefully can fix any damage he has done with the mysterious manila envelope.

How can Mel identify Gus as Brian’s baby even though Lenny divorced him before the baby was born? I think??? What was in the photos that he can see and the others can’t. It looks like Justin’s little talk is not going to eventuate any time soon.

Don't over look what Lenny said to Ethan (that first night he returned to town).  He vowed to watch Brian like a hawk.  He said he will watch everything he does and EVERYONE who comes in close contanct with him.  So. he hasn't been only watching Brian very closely but Justin too.  He has been watching them for a couple of months already, so we don't know all that he has seen and overheard during that time. 

Also, Melvin being a lawyer, he's a highly suspicious by nature, and grasping at straws is a way of life for him, as well as he is quite the opportunist, lol.  So, he might make even farfetched accusations hoping something might to come to light even if it's not necessarily what he expects.

As for that photo, even Ethan thought Justin's baby and that baby looked so much alike.  Also, recall that particular picture of the baby was taken just a few days before it supposedly died in the crash.  So, Gus wouldn't look too much different when Justin first showed up on the scene with him, and Melvin showed up in town around about the same time Brian and Justin moved in together, and he's been watching them since day one, so he might have been questioning the presence of the baby all the time, and now that he sees it up close... whoaaaa.

I like Brian’s reason for not rushing down the aisle with Justin “and have a fat groom standing by my side” that is just like Brian. LOL This chapter is so you Delores, you have Justin wanting to talk and now something is going to happen and that won’t be possible. I can’t wait to find out what you are up to and where you are going to take us.

What a terrible law, as Brian would have no rights, and that’s not even taking into account how badly the kid would be treated, by the other person, (in this case Mel) if they were alive. OMG Mel has a key, now will he become the new Michael and over use it? LOL Ethan looks like he may be a good guy in this. That would be nice as I never disliked him.

"I like how you have kept Jack in character..."   Well, I couldn't make him or anyone else a homophobe in this particular universe, so I had to find some other ways to make the villians in the story the unsavory jerks they were in the original.  Like Stockwell instead of being a homophobe in this story, he just a rich man who lis insensitive to the plight of the middle classes and the poor, and Jack is just anti-marriage and anti-fatherhood (and that's pretty much how he was in the origiinal), but I couldn't make him homophobic here though, lol.

Wow, Justin isn’t very good at hiding the fact the baby isn’t his. He just keeps digging himself deeper and deeper into a hole. I like what Deblin (Debbie) said about Brian caring for his own and offering Justin and Gus a place to stay. I will read on and see if Justin can get his story straight. LOL I do like how you have written him though, as you wouldn’t expected him to know these things if he hadn’t a baby.

Yeah, poor Brian, he really knows how to cherish someone when death plays a part in there somehow.  Recall in the original QAF he couldn't say to Justin that he loved him until the bombing happened, and he feared once more that he might lose Justin.  Now in this story he believes he lost a baby and now he's clinging to baby that Justin brought into his life (although he's completely clueless about this baby's true identity)

OMG I almost vomited when I read Michael wanted to give Brian a baby. I managed to hold it back, but only just. Eww. Mikey’s jealous, or soon will be. A 29 year old Brian living with his father, well maybe he will consider babysitting after all. LOL I love having so many chapters. This is review 100 for this fic and so far, from what I’ve read, it deserves many more.

Wow, that prologue is huge. Sorry I’m just reading and reviewing now, but I’m working off a borrowed laptop, as my computer kept freezing on me and had to go to the doctor. I’m glad I’m not the only one in the house seeking medical help. LOL I couldn’t start such a large fic with it freezing all the time, or my window would be smashed and the cpu would be in pieces on the ground outside. I love how in your world everyone is male; that must make Brian really happy, as there are no lesbians. LOL Thanks for the visual on the bed sheets. NOT. LOL Ethan did something good, he saved Gus’ life before he was even born. You aren’t giving anything away by adding categories are you. LOL Good move. It’s safe to say this is anti-Lindsay (Lenny) though, at this stage, even if he has perished. Did you know Lindsay or Lindsey, can be used as a male or female name? Poor Brian finding out about his son that way. Justin has a baby called Augustus (Gus) maybe???? Curiouser and curiouser. I can’t wait to read on. Oh, Flosse.  You just don't know how excited I was to come back here and learn that you had joined me on this one, and saw how many reviews you left about it. 

I apologize though that I'm just getting around to anwer you after you posted about three weeks of reviews here.  However, I had death in my immediate family.  My brother who was just about two years older than me passed away of a heart attack on Aug 31st, but he had not been sick so it was an absolute shock to me, and on top of that school started for me on Sept 3rd.  So you can imagine what a strain it's been on me for the last few weeks.  But I'm much better now, but I have to play catch-up at school because I missed the first week of school, and my school's curriculum is so tough, even missing the first class can set you back a bit (especially since most of my classes this semester are three hours long).  In that case missing one day it relaly like missing two classes.  ONe class I missed... the teacher was on the chapter 6 already when I went to the second class.  Talk about moving right along.

 

Well, enough about all that sadness already, let me get to your review:   Huge prologue, huh?  Imagine had I told all that in detail.  It would have taken about a hundred chapters before I even got to Brian and Justin moving in together, LOL! 

Lindsay/Lindsey.   You know I kind of knew that but wasn't sure if they were spelled differently like Tony and Toni, Billy and Billie, etc. and although I wrote this story on my computer, when I wrote it I didn't had problems accessing my Internet so I couldn't check the spelling, so I just decided to be on the safe side to name the character Lenny rather than spell the name wrong, and that when I get my internet access back, I'm just go and check it and changed the name, but when I did get my internet back I didn't think to that then.  

P.S. I haven't forgotten the Watcher in fact, I typed up two chapters not too long ago.  So, the moment I finalize this one, I'll do that one.

Yeah, trials do often take a long time to come up in "the real world". This is something that pretty much every movie, tv show or book dealing with court cases ignores.

Hope Ben gets together with Michael, maybe that will disrtact him from being so hung up on Brian.

Thank goodness Brian has Ben on his side.  With him and Carl looking out for Justin things can not get too bad.  Good plot device having the neighbor not be home so that Brian has to leave Gus with Michael and Emmett.  Looks like Ben is going to meet Michael in the future.  On to the next chapter.

Oddly enough, Ethan is starting to grow on me.  I'm with Justin on this one, they should let Ethan get to know Gus.  My question is - How does having Gus' birth and death certificates and social security card help?

I think that helps them further down  the line when they have to enroll Gus into school, declare him on thier income taxes, etc.  especially considering neither Brian or JUstin is Gus's official legal dad - Mel is actually.

Now what is Melvin up to?  He assured Ben that there would be no problems and then he turns up blackmailing Brian!!!  What is Ethan up to?  It's obvious that he's up to something.  There's that phone call from Ethan's grandfather. What could be wrong?

Mafita!   Thank U so much for sayiing you read alll those chapters in one sitting.  I'm really eating that up, and so sorry for taking a long time to respond and post additional chapters but my therapist has me on restricted Internet access.  She won't let me get on everyday, and them limit how many hours on the days I am allowed to get on.
