Ha, that was fantastic! I so totally agree with you - Brian did his best to push Justin away thanks to Lindsay. I really hate her in last two episodes. Justin didn't want to go to NY that much - he doesn't have enough paintings to wow everyone there, he doesn't even have a complete education! So maybe later, after having some real success in Pittsburgh, he could give it a try. If he is really talented, he will find thee fame. What Brian did was terrible - I was soo pissed! In series I think Justin decided to try NY thing for a few months to shut him up and then be able to return without Brian being in a whole drama queen mode, but I love your version even beter! He didn't keep silent, he told Brian exactly what he thought. And his plan later was great! I laughed so hard, seeing Brian's increasing horror. 'Babe' just killed me! But it was really a lesson Brian should learn. The ending was terrific!
Great story, thank you for sharing!! I engoyed it very much!
Author's Response: Thank you! (: Yeeeep, she really hit Brian in the weak spot of ohh, but Brian, you'd be "holding him back"... I truly just don't think she could stand the idea of Brian being with Justin so seriously. She has always wanted to be the main person in his life, especially since having a child with him. In my opinion, Justin threatened her happy little family with Brian because Gus would most likely start seeing Justin as another parent soon. Of course coniving little Lindsay couldn't have that. Using her dream of being a big artist in NYC and casting it upon Justin was an extremely easy way out for her to get her way and not be pushed aside in Brian's life. Exactly! Justin enjoys creating art for the satisfaction and happiness it gives him not to make a big name for himself and add a whole bunch of money to his bank account. I think he wanted to get out and explore New York a little but not to actually move there... unless it was with Brian of course. :P
Lol, yep, at least they kept him in character til the end, though; pushing people away because he perceives it to be in their best interest. I think so too, I think Justin really wanted to prove to Brian that after going out in the world and becoming a big, fat, fucking success he still just wanted him after it was all said and done. I really think Justin just wanted Brian to see him as an equal and not that 17-year-old boy anymore.
Haha, well thank you very much I really appreciate that! Haha, yeah, Justin knew exactly where all of Brian's buttons were to push and drive him over the edge. :P I was extremely surprised with how the end of the show went... because Justin became to know Brian better than anyone... I find it hard to believe that he would just give into Brian so easily and NOT see what has been in the Kinney handbook for so long now... just trying to push him away again in order to do what he thought was best for him. I was shocked that Justin let people basically make his life's decisions for him... it was weird and pretty OOC for me...
Thank you so very very much for reading and commenting on this! Especially for all of the wonderful compliments, made my day!
