I love the twist of Brian and Justin's first meeting. And I was happy that even in the first encounter, Brian already thought of Justin being the one he is looking for. Beautiful story!

Thank goodness for the left behind sketchbook.  Without it Brian would never have found out that he had a heart.  Even a whiney Michael couldn't spoil this loverly spring day.

Author's Response:

thank you for taking the time to read and respond - I guess I let the cat out of the bag - whiney Michael...not my favorite

meeting in the park and the left behind sketchbook have been rolling around in my head for quite a while - just couldn't figure out where to go with it until this challenge inspired me and filled in the gaps

I really like the way you wrote Gus with the allergies giving Brian the opportunity to bring up the two moms, as it just flowed so naturally. Then with Justin adding the line “before your young mini-you recognizes the effect you are having on my mini-me" lol, allowing Brian to realise the obvious without asking. There will certainly be a lot more spring times for them ahead. Thank you this is beautifully written and absolutely enjoyable to read. Best of luck with the challenge.

Cheers

Author's Response:

Thank you so much Flossee. I agree that there are many spring times in their future, I can almost see into Brian's head as he imagines them. It really warms my heart that you enjoyed it as much as me.

I appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you think - it means a lot.

Oh, this was lovely, Charle!  Loved the idea of them meeting at the park while Brian was watching Gus.  I thoroughly enjoyed this - thank you for this sweet story!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

thank you Kim - this means so much coming from you! I am so thrilled that you enjoyed it

it was one of those little plot bunnies that just wouldn't go away, yet I couldn't wrap a whole story around it until you and Tag came up with this challenge - and that set off my inspiration

I really had a great time writing this one

Charle
