i really like this AU for Brian and Justin. Hot and sweet, all at once!
I want to read more of Brian and Justin with Gus, more with Brian's other friends (esp. Emmett, always a fave), maybe see Justin join Kinnetik, and--of course--more B&J sexy time.
I know it has been a few years since you updated, but I hope you plan to complete this story. I'm going to take as a positive sign that you last updated on August 27 (an important birthdate for family & friends).

Maybe Mikey can finally finish growing up, knowing that Brian is learning to love Justin. Very unhealthy codependency that needs to evolve into a healthier, nurturing friendship. Brian and Michael are equally responsible for that not happening previously.

I came across this story a few times but never had the opportunity to read it, now that I have I can honestly say I'm pleasantly surprised. I love the whole dynamic of Brian and Justin wanting to meet each other so much and not realizing they already had not to mention the father son quality time.....and who could resist all the hot, steamy, smut going on between those two ;) Can't wait to see what happens next.

I just read this story from the beginning through this chapter - and I don't know when I have been more happy and content with a story...
when the folks around me are brimming over with drama and angst - and the weight of it sometimes feels heavy and hard to endure - then a story like this one satisfies in a way that little else can
thank you! - I love this story - love a Brian who is a little confused and unsure, but not fighting the growing feelings nor is he denying the start of something amazing - love a Justin who is confident and sure of himself (and toppy Justin is always hot!) - and love a couple who doesn't let Michael's crap get in the way of what's building between them
terrific story - I'm so glad I read it - thanks for writing and posting...

Laura, I LOVE this Brian. So split in his personality, one face for the public, one for the private. I love his maturity.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the compliments, Roni. I had a lot of fun writing this story. I love tgetting into Brian's head, and this is what I see (well, actually every story I write I see from Brian's POV, based on what version of Brian is in the story). I really wanted to do a more mature Brian, and I honestly think that if he had everything happen in the show that did, without worrying about, annoyed with, obsessed with, or consumed by guilt and love and confusion from knowing Justin that whole time, I think he would be a different person. Not that knowing Justin was a bad thing... but I think that having Justin there as a constant, in some ways, held Brian back a little from growing and maturing.
My anti-Mikey won't be major like some stories I've read, but there will be a bit... after all, if Brian became more mature on his own, without Justin in the picture, then Mikey is definitely going to react now, since he's never seen Brian with a lover or partner (other than himself, in his little dream world). Hopefully Mikey will come around, but it takes me a bit to write for all the characters at once... too bad my fingers and computer can't type as fast as I can think. I know where I want it to go, but how that translates to "written" word, we'll see. And definitely more steam and smut, cause it's me, and this is my Brian. :) BTW, Brian is my muse... and he says thank you, too. ;)

Author's Response: First, let me say thanks for all the reviews, I love reading all your comments, it makes the author in me very happy. :D For all the bumps that I could imagine (and there were a few that came to mind) I wanted to do a story that was as hopelessly romantic as possible, where all the stars have aligned and no one stands in the way of true love: no accidents, no tragedies, no annoying friends, no spiteful family, no jealous boyfriends, no self-deprication... nothing! Just our boys doing what they do the best and deserving every second they get... and of course my story wouldn't complete without some hot boy on boy action a few times, would it? ;)

Author's Response: Hey again Lori (have I mentioned I love all your little reviews... they make me happy). Yes, I had to have Ethan in there somewhere, but without Justin being too much of a drama princess. And I think that Ethan had potential, were it not for Brian, although with all the traveling his music would do... well, Justin had almost made the ultimate sacrafice for his art, while I don't think Ethan sacraficed much of anything. Anyway... "evil little grub worm" lol! I love that, I may have to use it in one of my other stories if and when I refer to Ethan again. So many things went through my mind on how to mention Ethan, and I thought I'd leave all the nasty evil things I could say out, and just make it what it should have been as Justin's first boyfriend experience.

Author's Response: I can only imagine what it must be like to have hand surgery. I broke my wrist once (dislocated a bone) and that was painful and annoying and... couldn't imagine a surgery. It's been a crazy semester with no time to write. It was driving me crazy. It's like even my muse took a break. I've wanted to write this story (based on the song) for a while, but didn't have the time or inspiration to write the whole thing. I was so happy when it came.
