OMG this was so good! I just spent the last couple of hours reading this entire story and I all I can say is that I absolutely loved it. As you said in one of the chapter notes, I definitely don't see canon Brian quite ever being quite this mushy, even for Justin (buying him a house not withstanding)... but in the context of this story it was perfect! Thank you for this!

Oh, I'm so glad you updated it! I liked 'The Bet' a lot, and I was looking forward to continue reading this wonderful sequel. I like your style. The plot itself has a great potential, and you managed to embody it perfectly. Your descriptions are very good. I just can see this Brian - loving, caring, touchingly insecure. His longing for Justin and inevitable jealousy are definitely those things I'll never get enough of :) It was kind of funny when he forbade himself to think of Justin in order to concentrate on work.
And I liked Brian's interaction with Ted. Obviously, they have warmed up to each other by now. Their conversation about Aiden was so in-canon - I enjoyed it immensely!
I didn't quite expect that Justin's arrival would be something like that - and neither did Brian, I guess. Anyway, it was intense - I liked every word!

Author's Response: Thank you so much. I have not stopped writing QAF fanfic, but I have been on a long hiatus to focus on original stories. I have a book coming out with dreamspinners press this August and a second novel under review. Now that the second novel is done, I want to finish The Fall at least. I'm do for a series rewatch soon and that always inspires my fanfic.

Oh my gosh, Brian saying those things to Aiden in defense of his relationship with Justin was the sweetest thing! But I also like how he didn't say monogamy was important to him. That's not the truth and lies aren't love. Rather, he said that he's doing it because it's what Justin need sfrom him. Like you indicated in your response to my earlier review: Brian knows the differences between how he and Justin handle love and sex. And it looks like he's being thoughtful enough to keep that in mind when it comes to his own impulses.

have read this entire story over the last two days - and am really really loving it - all the things that make Brian be...well...Brian are still there, but there is a tenderness and a willingness to let Justin past the walls that is just enthralling - and I love when Justin stops being the victim and takes his place beside his man, instead of behind him (no pun intended...I love toppy Justin and vulnerable Brian)
add to that the story of the two men who are about to get there due...and this is a great story...well told
thanks for using your obvious talent to entertain us - your stories have really added great reading to MW

How was Evan able to get camera in the loft?
Author's Response: He sent a virus to hack the webcams so he was able to see into the loft using the camera's already on the computers.

Have I told you how much I adore this story :) it seems that our boys are trying to settle into their new situation but I have a feeling that Evan has different ideas in mind though.

Brian wants to have his cake and eat it too, hmm? I'm surprised he'd be jealous, when like you said: he himself is so opposed ot monogamy. If he's so good at seperated sex and love for himself, then why doesn't that extend to Justin for him? As for these domineering fantasies, they seem to preoccupy Brian's thoughts a lot. If I was Justin, I'd definately be trying to get more of that! I thought Brian's response of "Shh, I'm just trying it out," at the end was so funny. He is so in love with Justin, and it's simply the best when little things pop out to show how true that is.
Author's Response: My take at least from the perspective of the story is that this Brian recognizes that Justin is not able to seperate sex/love as he is, which is why Justin being with someone else feels more impactful to their relationship.

That text from Brian had my heart melting. That was him reaching out, which is amazing to see since we rarely get to see that from Brian. Maybe he''l want to stay monogamous for six months so that they can do it raw, but I don't think Justin should be heartbroken over Brian's desire to sleep with other man. Brian explained his desires perfectly at the end of the chapter, and I think that Justin is a smart enough guy to realize where his boyfriend is coming from.

The dialogue from Brian in this was so erotic! I think I wish Brian had won the bet, lol. In the beginning, I really thought for a moment that Evan was going to stay and watch, since that techniacally wouldn't be a third party having sex with them. Maybe later? Great chapter!
