The reviews was stuck on 7 for at least a year so i thought I needed my eyes checked when I saw it was 8. Did you read it all? Did you make it past Ch 3? I loved fairy tales all while growing up and encourage my child to read them as well. I also watched Fractured Tairy Tales, so I have a soft spot in my heart for them. I am grateful to you for writing these stories. I'm happy to read them whenever I am in the mood for a fairy tale and it is added bonus to have my two favorite characters in them. That being said, I loved this story and the imagery you presented in them. I was a little disapointed when Ben came along, but I was pleasantly surprised at his true nature. I even loved it when you originally ended with Justin's death. It was so dramatic yet beatifully done.

This was one of the best chapters. Very imaginative. I loved Justin flipping them the bird. Gus as a swan guardian was ingenious. It was heartbreaking for Michael to get the upper hand and for Justin to remain to watch.
Author's Response: Flipping them the bird was my favorite part of this to write as well. Can you believe Gus was kind of an "extra character" throughout the whole thing. I just finished reading The Little Merman and The Crucible. I wish I wish I wish I wish I had been following The Crucible as you were writing so I could have given you glowing reviews. Since I was not, all I can do is tell you now: YOU'RE A FUCKIN' GENIUS. SERIOUSLY.
I love REAL "fairy tales"--the original, gruesome, scary ones, not the Disney versions. I love your fractured fairy tales. There's lots of pain and "good" characters who do horrible cruel things and "bad" characters who do good and kind things. Your images and dialogue remind me of "The Princess Bride" (one of my all-time favorite films)--the humor, utter ridiculousness, and yes those anachronisms!!
You have a fan for life. When you think no one is reading, remember that as long as you write QAF fairy tales, I'll read them.

Ok, if you're asking me my personal opinion *it's an honor for me*... regarding the song fic, you writers always amaze me in terms how you could turn afew lines of words into at least a thousand words all lead to the same subject as the song, it's something beyond my limited comprehension (when it comes to literature), maybe that because of the nature of my profession as an engineer which dictate me to spend most of my times between numbers *lol*.
anyway lets get to the point, I've always liked the song fics because it gives you the gist of the story firsthand and always turns the undercurrents of our boys inside out, but actually I'm not a big fan of oneshots,I would love if you write a long term story,and I'd prefer an AU to cannon or what if, because if you do, you give us some thing to relate to with the regular update, especialy you've got the potential to keep us in suspense untill the very end.

now let me be honest with you, at first when I saw the sequel of that great story which I have enjoyed very much, I have been so excited, but when I started to read it, the idea got me disappointed,as for me Hunter is one of my 5 hated characters list in that show,I can't bring myself to watch his scenes twice after I watched them the first time (unless he's with Brian or Justin) ,he just annoys me, his voice, his lips, his hair, his body, I can't stand him whatsoever let alone read a long story about him LOL. I think most of the QAF fanfic readers want the kind of story which deals mainly with BrainandJustin's turmoil love life and not any other character share the main attention with them along the plot , my point is, I and maybe most of the fanbase don't prefer reading stories about how can other characters of the show affect Brain's or Justin's behavior or emotions and lead the way of their lives because we saw that along the episodes of the show and got sick of it already.sooooo I'm demanding you as one of your fans to write another lovely story full of longing + angst + tears = happy ending*LOL* ,I mean like your first one *cannon or au* as soon as you can, so I can enjoy my time again with your talent.

HELLO! Yes it's me, the author. OK, wasn't that just brutal? Just emotionally shattering? Sadistic? What's that you say? It wasn't so bad? Well, let me know! Love it? Hate it? Please review! I see you guys reading out there!
If you're wondering what made me do a story about Hunter and paternal love instead of our 2 favorite boys getting it on, well one of the reasons is an image that I can't get out of my head. It was oh so quick but oh so lasting that even after a year of re-watching the series it sticks in my head. Of Hunter writing Hunter Novotny in a notebook over and over showing his deep desire to belong to Mike and Ben.
However, since in this universe, Micael was a bastard a nd Ben was a sea monster and both are currently in an undersea lair somewhere, Brian and Justin are picking up the slack. Suffice it to say without giving specifics (in case yu just finished chapter 3, things get worse then better, then start to heal.
A further message on what the hell I was thinking is on my bio page. PLEASE REVIEW! I'd love to know what you are thinking!!

I'm not sure what to review here, I guess I am just confused by these turns in what was a great story. I'm sorry but I think it was perfect and you should've stopped when you wrote the end. This hunter plot line seems misguided and doesnt mesh with the rest of the story. I don't know it just seems different and disconnected.

OK OK, I guess I can let you guys off the hook now. I WILL be using that ace I was talking about and have already started work on the next and final chapter of this lengthy story.
First off I want to thank all my reviewers for being die hard fans and being regular reviewers. Your praise and reviews really kept me going, thank you.
Second, you may be all wondering exactly what possessed me to do what I did. Well, as I said, I wanted to write and UN-sanitized version of the story which included the tragic ending. And sometimes it makes it better. i mean, where would Romeo and Juliet have been if Romeo was "not quite poisoned" and Juliet never fell on the knife? See? A totally different ending. Or Anthony and Cleopatra..or Casablanca, or...well the list goes on.
Also, as well as writing the H.C.A version, I also wanted to walk a mile in his shoes and see what he must have felt like when he came up with that tearjerking tragic ending and have people write in and say no, no, until he was compelled to change it. I often wondered if he also changed it for his own sake, if he needed his little mermaid to live on because he fell in love with her as I fall in love with my characters and cannot bear them any harm. (Well, not too much, anyways) ;)
Also, apologies for the cardinal sin of hooking Brian up with Michael. Trust me. It was as hard to write as it was to read. (shudder) Sorry folks. These things happen.

What a great job you've done with this chapter. I want to be friends with the twins! Loved the toast. I'm sad that the brothers all had to sacrifice so much, but that proves their love for Justin. I'm happy the spell was broken, and I'm extremely curious about the painting. But I suppose I should focus on the most pressing moment and say...How could you end it there you mean mean man?! LOL. I knew from chapter one that this may not end happy but I can't help but pray and hope that Justin remains foam-free. ;p This truly is one of my favorite fictions.
