Chapter 4-------------------------- Justin’s body was shivering with fear and cold; this sight was something he never thought he would see. He just wasn’t supposed to see something like this; no one was supposed to see something like this anyway. What kind of weird universe had he gotten into? He didn’t think he’d ever seen this guy before; he was unfamiliar, though he looked like any other guy on Liberty Avenue; apart from the fact that he certainly wasn’t a real guy. Justin slowly turned his head a bit and looked up at Sam who was holding the gun in his hands steadily and proficiently; he really seemed like he’d been doing it every day. Turning his head back to that scary someone or something to be exact, the blond could see its mouth still moving but no words could be heard. Whether he should be grateful for that or not; Justin wasn’t sure. “Um…Sam?” Finally the blond was able to create some words, though it was just an impatient whisper really, “Aren’t you going to use that gun?” “Not yet.” Sam said quietly, his eyes never leaving that thing ahead of him, “First we’ll try to figure out what it wants.” “What do you mean what it wants? Isn’t that obvious?” Justin huffed a nervous laugh and looked at the two men in disbelief. “Dude, would you just shut up?” Dean’s stern command put the blond to silence. The steam and the figure started to get a bit closer to them and it became even colder in the room if that was possible at all. Justin jumped back a bit when he could see its eyes slowly becoming implausibly deep red and its face getting dreadfully distorted. The way it was moving was so unrealistic, so incredibly weird that Justin had to look away; he didn’t think he could look at it any longer. All of a sudden the thing took a quick, threatening move towards them and just at that moment the blond could hear a deafeningly loud sound; Sam shot at the figure and it disappeared. “Is it gone?” Justin whispered trustingly. “For now.” Sam answered shortly as he let his hands and the gun down, but his eyes were scanning the room carefully. “Okay, now let’s get the fuck out of here.” Dean stated while giving Justin a little shove, since the boy seemed to be unable to make a move. “But…” Justin started to stammer, “I thought you were going to…” “Destroy it?” Dean asked as he was pushing the blond out of the room, “Yeah, we will. But it’s not that easy; we have to know a few things first.” “Like what?” Asked Justin as they stepped onto the cold and dark street; he couldn’t explain how relieved he felt when he exited the building, but his voice was still shaking. “First,” Sam started to explain, “we have to know who he is…I mean who he was. Then we have to find out what happened to him.” “I can’t believe it.” Justin kept on shaking his head, still unable to believe what he’d seen. “It really was a… ghost?” He looked at the two men expectantly, hoping they would say no. “Man, what else do you think it was?” Dean asked with a smirk; he enjoyed the pure shock on the blond boy’s face. “It seemed…it seemed like it wanted to attack us…” Justin mumbled to himself. “Well, usually angry spirits are born out of violent death.” Sam said, “That’s why we have to figure out what happened to him.” “You mean…he got killed?” Justin asked and looked back at the entrance suspiciously, “Here?” Dean shrugged casually, “That’s one possibility.” “Jesus, guys.” The blond said, surprised of Dean’s reaction, “You’re acting like it’s…what we’ve seen… like it’s a natural thing.” Sam smiled at Justin, “It’s kind of natural to us.” “Do you think this guy…this thing killed that cleaner?” Justin whispered, his hands deep in his pockets. “Well, if that guy with the towel was killed, then it might be an angry and avenging spirit. Therefore it could kill.” Sam answered, “Tell me Justin, is this murder the first strange thing that happened in Kinnetik?” “As far as I know, it is.” Said Justin, thinking hard about the question. “And how long has Brian owned this place?” Dean asked the boy. “He bought it a couple of months ago. He never mentioned anything unusual and…” Justin stopped suddenly and turned to the brothers with a dumbfounded expression. “And what?” Sam looked the boy questioningly. “It…it was wearing a white towel around its waist.” Justin whispered and blinked slowly as recognition hit him. Dean snorted, “Yeah, it looked like it had come from the baths.” “Exactly.” Justin nodded and looked at Dean meaningfully, “Before Brian bought and renewed this place…it used to be an old bath house you know.” After a few seconds of silence Dean said, “Well, that makes sense.” “What?” Justin asked impatiently. “If it was an old and abandoned place, the spirit could rest here. But demolition or remodeling can awaken spirits. And now, it’s definitely awake…and restless.” Sam explained. “Then it can hurt anyone in there.” Said Justin in shock. Seeing the two men nodding in agreement didn’t help the blond to calm down. “That’s why we have to come back here as soon as possible. And we should talk to Brian.” Dean explained. “Yeah, right.” Justin sighed and smiled bitterly, “You don’t know him; he won’t believe a word. He’ll laugh at you and then kick your asses out of his agency.” “Well, maybe we can’t convince him.” Sam smiled at Justin knowingly, “But I think there’s someone who probably can…” “I don’t know guys, I’ll try but…” Justin said weakly. “Hey dude, trying won’t be enough.” Dean said with a harsh voice, “The people who work here are in danger; including your boyfriend. So you better find a way to make him let us do our job.” “Okay.” Justin said quietly, having no idea how he would do it. “Here,” Said Sam while writing his phone number on a piece of paper, “call us as soon as you can, okay? Until then we’ll try to learn more about the story of that bath house.” Justin nodded and said goodbye to the brothers, wondering on his way home what he would say to Brian. *************************************************************************** Pulling the loft door open Justin could hear Brian’s threatening voice coming from inside, “Where the fuck have you been?” Before he could answer Brian repeated his question, approaching the exhausted boy slowly. “Justin? Where have you been?!” “I…” The blond started and swallowed hard, “I tried to call you but you never answered. I couldn’t wait any longer…I had to get out a bit… Brian I worried about you.” The man’s expression started to soften at his lover’s confession, though he was still pissed at Justin for walking the streets when murders had happened. “I wanted to call you but my damn cell went dead. I had to go to the police station and all I could think about was getting the fuck out of there. I thought you were here and I planned to tell you everything when I arrived. And when I didn’t find you here I….” Brian stopped and held Justin’s face in his hands, “I had no idea where you had gone. And you left your fucking cell here. Shit, Justin, don’t you ever do something like that again.” Brian looked deep into the crystal blue eyes. “I’m okay. And I’m sorry.” The blond whispered and pulled himself close to his man. He closed his eyes and thought about what a huge lie it was – as he was recalling the thing that had happened to him that night…no, he was absolutely not okay. And how would he tell Brian about it? But he didn’t want to care about that now. All he needed at that moment was the warmth of Brian’s body; the only thing that could warm him up after that fucking freezing experience. He was holding Brian so tight that it surprised even him. “It’s okay.” The man said quietly, kissing the top of the blond head gently. And for the next hour Justin really believed him; he believed that everything was okay. He couldn’t think about angry spirits when Brian’s strong hands were stroking him gently, pushing him down onto the bed; pulling his clothes down while the man’s soft lips were kissing his body all over. Justin couldn’t remember the freezing cold when Brian’s hot body was pressing against his; couldn’t recall frightening grinding sounds when he could hear his lover’s soft breathing ringing in his ears; the most beautiful sound he’d ever heard. He couldn’t care about flickering lights when the only dim light he could see was coming from the kitchen area; and he didn’t give a fuck about see-through figures with white towels wrapped around their waists when he could feel Brian’s strong arms wrapped around his own heated body. Pulling Brian deeper and deeper inside of him, Justin couldn’t focus on anything else but the intense pleasures he always experienced when the man made love to him. And just before he could feel his own body giving in; in that perfect moment, an absurd thought came into his mind and it said ‘Fuck the rock salt. This is the real protection against evil spirits.’ He had to smile to himself at this thought, but the smile was gone soon when the waves of his climax were running through his body. Lying on the huge bed in peaceful silence, listening to the sound of Brian’s beating heart while he rested his head on the man’s chest, Justin didn’t want to break this beautiful moment. But he knew he had to. The previous events of the night started to haunt the blond again and he knew he had to do something about it. Brian hadn’t said a word about the murder, and Justin knew the man didn’t want to talk about that. All they wanted right then was a little peace and comfort. But the sooner he talked to Brian about this nightmare, the sooner Sam and Dean would be able to help. At least Justin hoped so; he wanted to believe the guys, wanted to believe that they knew what they’re doing. After taking a deep breath and stroking Brian’s smooth belly gently Justin started to speak, “Brian?” “Hm?” Came the answer as the man lit a smoke, hoping the blond wouldn’t bring up the murder subject. “Do you…” Justin sighed, he really didn’t know how to say this, “Do you believe in things you can’t see? Things you’re usually not supposed to see?” Brian raised one eyebrow and looked at the blond questioningly, “What the fuck are you talking about?” “I mean…do you think that some supernatural experiences might actually be real? That they might exist?” “You mean…like coming four times during one fuck?” The playful sarcasm was evident in Brian’s voice. “You know what I’m talking about. Have you ever experienced something inexplicable? Something you just couldn’t explain? Weird noises? Terrifying, unrealistic sights?” Justin didn’t seem to give up. “Fuck Justin, I told you not to take too much E again.” Brian answered, ruffling the blond hair playfully. “I didn’t…” Justin tried to protest, but he stopped soon when he could feel Brian pulling him onto his body, pressing his mouth against his lips. The boy had to realize that he wouldn’t get any useful answers from Brian, so he stopped asking more questions, and started to focus on the things he would get from the man. He decided to enjoy Brian’s insatiability that night and ask questions in the morning.
