Chapter 2------------------- Justin couldn’t explain how much he’d missed Brian all day, and he couldn’t wait to meet him at Woody’s. Now everything seemed to be in place, everything seemed to be just right. Being in Brian’s arms was all he ever wanted, feeling his soft lips on his made him forget about everything. About his tiredness, his upcoming exams and all the other people around them. “Um…” Michael started and cleared his throat, “You two might want to go and continue this in the bathroom or somewhere else. Everyone’s watching you, you know.” “Including you, Mikey. You know how hard I can get in public.” Brian murmured and smiled against Justin’s lips, then pushed his tongue deep into the blond’s warm mouth. Michael shook his head and gave them a disapproving look. “Relax, sweetie. You know what they’re like.” Emmett smiled at Michael. “Yeah, they probably haven’t fucked in, what, ten hours?” Ted added and took a huge sip from his beer. Brian and Justin finally parted; the blond looked at Ted with a smirk and said, “Nine.” “What?” Ted asked with a frown, already forgetting his previous comment. “It’s nine hours actually.” Justin answered and downed his vodka with a quick move. “Oh, I almost forgot; we’re going to get some extra company tonight.” “What do you mean?” Brian asked with a raised eyebrow while watching his lover’s tempting, wet lips. “I met these two guys at the diner. They’re not locals; they’re some kind of film-makers or something…” “Film-makers!” Emmett squealed and his eyes kindled, his voice shaking with excitement. “Don’t worry Honeycutt,” Brian looked at him with an evil smile, “if they’re going to need a real bottom-queen, you’ll be their first candidate.” Emmett made a grimace at Brian then looked at Justin again, “Go on, honey.” “So…” Justin started again, “…they said they wanted to make some documentary.” This word seemed to arouse Ted’s interest, so he asked inquiringly, “A documentary? About what?” Justin knitted his eyebrows before answering, “Um…it was something about the customs of gay communities or something like that.” Brian snorted and finished his Beam, then muttered, “Sounds fucking interesting.” “Actually, this might be interesting.” Ben looked at Brian with a smile. “Yeah, right.” Brian retorted, “We have a very different idea about what’s interesting, Professor.” “Anyway,” Justin went on, “they said they wanted to talk to some people, so I told them to come here.” “Are they hot?” Brian asked and Justin smiled at him. He was sure this was going to be his partner’s first question. “Yeah, they’re definitely hot. But…” Justin stopped because he didn’t know how to say this. “But what?” Brian looked at him with interest. “I don’t know…they’re a bit strange though. I can’t put a finger on it, but they were…different.” Justin said. “In what way?” Brian frowned, “Are they gay at all?” Justin shrugged, “I guess so. They were at the diner after all….and they’re about to make a documentary about gays. What straight guy would do something like that?” “But your gaydar couldn’t receive clear signs?” Emmett asked and he felt anticipation increasing inside of him, “Well, we’ll see.” As Justin looked at the entrance he could see the said men stepping inside. He’d just realized how tall the younger one, Sam was; probably as tall as Brian, or maybe even a little taller. Smirking at how they attracted people’s glances, he called out, motioning towards them, “Hey guys! Over here!” As the two men were approaching the table, Emmett put his hand on his chest, “God, they ARE hot!” After taking a second look at them he said quietly, “Even if I seriously believe that they should rethink their wardrobes. I’m not sure they’re gay though.” He sighed and added, “That’s what I call a real wastage.” “That’s what I call a real challenge.” Brian said with a raised eyebrow, licking his lips as he was checking the boys out. “Good to see you again!” Justin smiled and turned to his friends, “Guys, this is Sam and Dean.” Then he turned to the two boys, “Meet my friends; Ben, Michael, Ted, Emmett…and this is my partner, Brian.” Being surprised at how easily Justin was speaking about having a boyfriend, Sam felt like he’d been dropped into another universe; he hadn’t met too many gay people, but the ones that he had met all tried to hide their sexual orientation. He’d never met such openly gay men before. He wondered if they thought that he and Dean were gay too, but he decided not to bring this subject up if it wasn’t necessary. He didn’t know if they would be this friendly if they knew who they were. Being lost in thoughts, he didn’t hear Ben asking him what they would like to drink. “And you Sam?” Ben smiled at the boy, asking him for the second time. “Huh?” Sam looked at Ben with surprise. “He’ll have a beer too.” Dean smirked, knowing well what his brother was thinking about. “Alright. I’ll get you two beers then.” Ben smiled. “Thanks.” Sam smiled back gratefully, watching the man walking toward the bar. The brothers pulled two chairs to the table and sat down. “So…” Emmett smiled brightly, “I hear you guys are making some kind of documentary here.” “Well, yeah.” Dean answered carefully. He’d promised to himself that he’d be acting naturally, like it was just another simple bar. But he was unable not to take notice of the fact that there were only men in here, not to mention the things some of them were doing. He’d always been the confident one, but now he didn’t feel very confident at all, though he tried hard not to show it. He smiled back at Emmett and went on, “That’s why we want to talk to some people.” “Really?” Brian lit a smoke and Justin could tell from the way his partner was looking at Dean that he was about to say something sarcastic. But before he could stop him, Brian spoke, “Look boys, you can cut this documentary bullshit now.” “Excuse me?” Sam smiled nervously. Did Brian know who they really were? But how was that possible? “There’s no need to make up shit like this. If you want to get fucked, just ask for it. This is ‘rule one’ on Liberty Avenue.” Brian was looking at Sam, giving him a conceited, suggestive smirk. Sam huffed, blinking a few times, “Oh. Good to know.” Justin seemed to get tired of Brian’s sarcasm, so he turned to his partner, “Don’t be such an ass Brian.” Then he turned back to Sam, “Ask anything; we’ll be willing to answer.” “Okay. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen around here?” Sam asked carefully. “Apart from Ted getting fucked you mean?” Brian smirked and Justin shoved him in the arm. “Ha-ha. You know Brian, your jokes are getting really old.” Ted retorted. “Hey!” Suddenly Emmett cried out and looked at Justin. “Tell them about that boy in the dumpster.” Dean looked up abruptly, frowning, “Boy in the dumpster?” “Yeah, he was killed a few years ago. Debbie found him in the dumpster at the back-stair entrance of the diner.” Justin said, his face clouding over at recalling this sad memory. Dean and Sam exchanged meaningful glances, then Sam asked quietly, “Did they find his murderer?” He didn’t understand why he hadn’t read anything about this murder. “Yeah, it was a cop.” Michael said angrily. “A cop?” Dean asked, he thought maybe he’d misheard something. “The guy was a hustler you know. They saw him leaving with that fucker that night; and a couple of hours later my Mom found his body in the dumpster.” “Debbie’s your mother?” Sam asked and smiled when he could see Michael nod. “And what happened to this cop?” Dean asked, hoping to hear something they could actually use. “He killed himself.” Brian said shortly and stared at the others; signaling he wanted to change the subject. Justin knew he just didn’t want his friends to tell these strangers what great work Brian had done on that case. He obviously didn’t want to talk about that whole Stockwell story. “Anyway, they closed the case.” “And nothing like that ever happened again?” Dean asked. The men were shaking their heads and Dean nodded, but he couldn’t hide his disappointment; it didn’t seem to be their kind of thing. From what they’d been told, it must have been just a simple murder. Looking at Sam, he could see that his brother was thinking the same. No clues again. “Gays often get beaten up or threatened you know, but no other murder has happened since then. No other that we know of anyway.” Justin said bitterly. “And what’s that have to do with that gay-customs shit?” Brian asked the brothers suspiciously. “Well…” Sam started, but Brian’s cell began to ring. The man looked at the display and frowned at the number then answered, “Kinney.” Brian was listening for a minute, never saying a word, but the expression on his face started to change very quickly. “Yeah…sure.” Brian’s voice sounded unusually strange, “I…I’ll be there in ten minutes.” The others were watching him with nervous curiosity as he was slipping his cell into his pocket slowly. Brian looked frighteningly pale, staring ahead of him without saying a single word. “Who was it Brian?” Justin looked at his partner with concern; he didn’t think he’d ever seen him like this before. When Brian didn’t respond, Justin repeated a bit louder, “Brian?” Brian looked at the blond with a blank expression, still not saying anything. “Jesus, Brian, you look as if you’ve seen a ghost!” Michael said, looking worried. Dean smiled to himself bitterly, thinking about how often people use this expression without knowing how seeing a ghost really felt. Sam watched Brian carefully, wondering what it was that had changed the man’s confident demeanor so quickly. Brian opened his mouth finally, looking at the others, “It…it was Horvath.” His voice sounded hoarse, and the expression on his face told the others he was still unable to understand what he’d heard. “Carl?” Emmett asked suspiciously, “Oh my God, what have you done this time Brian?” Under normal circumstances the man would have answered to this question with a sarcastic remark, but he didn’t do that this time, which made Justin even more frightened. Brian stood up, putting his jacket on with unconscious movements while saying without looking at anyone, “He said the cleaner guy had been found in Kinnetik.” “And? What’s wrong with that?” Asked Ted uncomprehendingly. “Oh, nothing Theodore.” Brian gave him a fake smile and a wrecking look, “Except that he’s laid out on my desk…dead.”
