Justin glanced about the room, a slightly confused look upon his face. Everyone was looking at him as if they couldn’t believe what he’d just said. The loud redhead looked about ready to cry, “Sunshine?” I laughed slightly, “Sunshine? What kind of name is Sunshine?!” The sad look is quickly replaced by a stern one as Debbie put her hands on her hip, “That’s you, you little asshole!” He blinked once, twice, then glanced about the room. There were two blondes next to him, a young girl and an older woman. The young one looked vivid as she glared at her lap. Who was she? At the back of his mind, something was niggling at the back of his mind but he couldn’t quite put a finger on it. He furrowed his brow, a headache coming on, his hand raising to rub his temples. The door opened and his doctor walked in, he looked familiar. His eyes fluttered to the nametag, a Doctor Simmons. Justin blinked, “I’ve fucked you, haven’t I?” The Doctor blinked furiously, his cheeks turning pink as the others in the room smirked, “Yes Mr. Taylor, you have…” was the muttered reply, “Who’s Mr Taylor?” was the boys reply. The doctor looked slightly at a loss, “Umm you?” Justin POV I obviously confused the doctor. But my gaze always seems to end up on the brunette by the door, the one who looks shell shocked and ready to run away. “Mr Taylor, you can have one person to stay with you, I’m afraid the others have to leave”. I bite my lip, thinking before a sly smile appears on my lips. “Him…I want him..” The room turns towards the brunette and he shakes his head, “Fuck off the lot of you!” He turns to the door, only to have the smaller boy frog march him to the seat recently vacated by the old blonde, “Bye boys”, Debbie sing-songs before leading the pack out. “Who are you?” “Who am I?” “What happened?” “Who were those people?” “What the fucks with ‘Sunshine’!?”

Brian POV I dropped my head into my hands, why was I the one abandoned with the one blonde I couldn’t get out my head? The look on his face was that of determination, he wanted the answers and I had a feeling I wouldn’t be leaving until he got them. “You were in a car crash, you were driving so you got most of the damage. You had internal bleeding from you were impaled with metal. You bashed your head on the steering wheel. You broke your left wrist twice as well as three ribs. They think your motor skills may be fucked up, so you might not draw again..” I saw the slightly distressed look on his face. I take a deep breath and continue, “That was our dysfunctional family. The red head was Debbie, the ‘mother’ figure. The two blondes were Jennifer, your mom and Molly, your sister. Then there was Daphne, Emmett, Michael and Ted, they were in the car with you. Daphne was hurt too but not as bad. You’ve been in a coma for two weeks…” I glanced at him, he had a thoughtful look on his face, I could almost see the cogs turning as he tried to remember. The light that was once in his eyes was slowly reappearing, I couldn’t help but reach out and stroke his cheek. “My poor Sunshine…”

The doctor walked in, eyeing up the two young men, “Sir, do you remember anything? Your name perhaps?“ Justin drew back from Brian’s hand, staring at it then up into the hazel eyes. “No…” he whispered, catching Brian off guard. He shook his head, “No, no, no, no, no, don’t touch me…” There was something about the blondes eyes, realisation maybe. He’d realised why he’d driven off in the first place. Why he’d endangered his friends, “You’ve already had me…” he mumbled, eyes narrowing slightly. Brian drew back his hand, horror in his eyes as he stared at the angry face of Justin as he hissed his next words. “My name is Justin Taylor….and I remember everything….now get the fuck out!” Reluctantly, Brian got to his feet, staring down at the younger boy, “I’m sorry…” he whispered, his voice begging forgiveness but Justin shook his head, wiping away tears, “I hate you Brian…” With those words ringing in his head, Brian stalked out, never once looking back.
