The music’s blaring in my ears from the headphones, a joint perched between my lips when I freeze.

OMG! I can’t believe it. I hit the pause button and run across the floor to the bedroom.

“BRIAN!?”

His head snaps up so fast, you’d think he’d get whiplash before groggily asking, “Wha?” Granted it’s 4am.

“BRI GUESS WHAT!?” I shriek.

“What?”

“They’re taking the hobbits to Isengard…”

I’m sure a cricket chirped in the distance.

He stares at me as if I’m insane, before throwing my pillow at me and rolling over.

Oops I think he’s mad.
