After Justin's revelation earlier that day, Brian was preoccupied all night. He thought about the beautiful blond haired kid and the terrible life he had led. He hoped that Justin would finally open up, and wouldn't revert to his old self. Brian vowed to help the young man, so he could lay his painful past to rest, and live a productive, happy life. As the clock reached 10:00, Brian held his breath. At 10:03, Justin waltzed through the door. "Good Morning", Brian said obviously relieved. "Is that it?", Justin replied. Brian just looked at him puzzled. "What happened to the rest of your usual greeting?" Brian smiled, and knew that Justin was ready to trust him. "Alright", he began again "Good Morning Sunshine." Justin nodded his head in approval, and took his seat. The abuse was not easy for Justin to talk about at first, but he became more forthcoming as the session progressed. Justin confided in Brian that when his real father died in a car accident, the family was left virtually penniless. His father had not made a will or any provisions in case of his death. Hence, when his mother got remarried shortly after, they became financially dependent upon her new husband. Justin vividly described details of the physical beatings he had suffered at the hands of his stepfather. His mother had tried to protect him at the beginning, but soon gave up since she was being abused too. It was clear that the boy resented her, but he wouldn't admit to it. Although Justin regaled Brian with numerous stories of his mistreatment, he wasn't sure what had finally pushed Justin over the edge to attempt to murder his stepfather. There was 5 minutes left, and Brian was trying to bring the session to closure. All of a sudden loud alarms started going off, and lights were flashing. Brian stood up and looked down at Justin who remained calm, and seemed immune to the commotion. Instant recognition dawned on him, and almost in unison they both said "Lockdown". Although Brian had never experienced this before, he had read about it in the handbook he was given to study before beginning his new job. It was a prison term that meant the entire facility was under quarantine. No one was allowed to enter or exit Riker's Island. All the inmates were confined to their cells, or in Justin's case to his therapist's office, because all doors were automatically locked. As he glanced at Justin, he suddenly noticed how blue his eyes were. He seemed to have a great body for someone of his age and stature too. Christ, the thought of being locked in a room with him for who knows how long scared Brian shitless. He would have to consciously resist the temptation of using the Kinney charm to seduce him. He began to feel the heat in his loins, just as the phone started ringing. Justin fidgeted uncomfortably on the couch as he listened to Brian's end of the phone conversation. Two prisoners had escaped, and were believed to still be on the prison grounds. A search and investigation were being conducted, so it appeared that the lockdown would be in effect through the night. Upon overhearing this information, an intriguing scenario came to mind. Being imprisoned in a room with Brian would present an amazing opportunity. Justin might be able to find out for sure if Brian was gay, and if he was indeed interested in him as more than just his patient. He watched Brian loosen his tie, and sweat trickle down his brow as if he knew what Justin was thinking.
