It’s Not Fair Her mother always said that gay was wrong. That choosing to be gay was rejecting God and accepting a horrible life full of sin and eternal damnation. And like a good little church girl, I believed her. But, if being gay was so sinful and horrible, how come Brian, her fag brother, was rich successful, with his own business, constantly draped in insanely expensive clothes, about to marry some young blonde man and her life was falling apart. Her ex-husband Peter, who just married some nineteen-year old model an moved to the Bahamas, was refusing to pay child support. There was no way she’d ever have anywhere near enough money to hire a lawyer, and after what happened between John and Brian she couldn’t very well ask him for the money. So the shit that she married was going to get away with it. John was on his twenty-fourth suspension from school for violence, and was at the risk of expulsion, and Jake wasn’t doing much better. How come she had the horrible, near-poverty stricken life while Brian ha a fucking dream life with his own live-in sin? It would fit his MO though, wouldn’t it? The shit always got away with everything. Sure, once and a while he got a smack from Dad, but he deserved it! And it’s not like that ever stopped him from coming in past curfew, or spending days on end at that awful redheaded woman’s house. He’s Brian Kinney, he can get away with anything, even, as is turns out, being a goddamn fag and being proud of it. It’s just not fair!
