Smevalicious banner Justin’s POV I wake up and the room is spinning in front of me. I try to sit up but my body is far too heavy. I flop back down and everything fades to black. Brian’s POV Later that day, my dad wearily discharged Justin. I know he would much rather kept him overnight for observation and a social worker, but I convinced him to let it go. I should be in advertising. That brings me to the now, pulling out of the hospital parking lot with a dozing blonde by my side. I push up my dark sunglasses and glance over at his sleeping body. The swelling has gone down some on his eye; white tape dons his cheek where broken glass scraped his angelic face. I remember the incredulous look on Justin’s face when Debbie offered him a cane. Little sunshine might be shy but he sure cares about how he looks. That thought brings a smirk to my face as I turn back to the road. Justin’s POV “Justin, Justin come on wake up, we’re here” Mhhhhhmmmpp no leave me alone. It’s so nice and warm here, sleepy time. “Jus come on” Ugggg you bastard you WILL pay. “WHAT?!!” okay maybe I am a little more than cranky when I wake up. I open my heavy eyelids to a smirking Brian. “Alright alright.” I wish I could just hop down from the car but its proving a little difficult. I reluctantly take Brian’s offered hand and step down. Mr. Kinney said the fucking fork Craig stabbed me with hit some muscle and it will be hard to walk for a while. Other than that it isn’t too bad, just a few broken and bruised ribs. Although the amazing part about this whole ordeal is how close it has brought Brian and me. A week ago I still got sweaty palms around him, now we joke and hold hands. It’s surprising how fast these 24 hours have gone by. Well, I was anesthetized for a good portion of it but the kiss Brian and I shared in his bedroom seems like years ago. Too long I decide as I press a chaste kiss to Brian’s unsuspecting lips. He smiles back down at me and he opens the door to his house. Of course Brian and his dad want to get me out of my house but I know that will only make things worse. Look what happened last time. Brian begged me to at least stay at his house for the night and I relented. Usually after a big fight Craig will back off for a while, so I am sure he won’t care if I go missing for a day or two. I shake myself out of my thoughts because I have a new enemy… stairs. With Brian’s help I hobble up and am ready to crash. He chuckles at my tired look and I smack his arm lightly. We quickly head towards his bedroom and I’m out before my head hits the pillow.
